...The Chemistry Of Our Math Teacher...

"Now class, hope you are clear with the basics of trigonometry." The raven haired neko-jin turned around to glance at his class. "Just remember, cos is like the cousin of sine; cot, the cousin of tan; and cosec, the cousin of sec. You will apply this only on right-triangles." He halted, glancing at the students' response. There was some chit-chats going on in the western side. "Not your so-called love-triangles, please Enrique." He sharply blurted. A wave of laughter surged, engulfing the class. "Stop it now students. Discipline!" and they all did. "So am I clear?"

"Yes sir." They chorused.

"Great! Now please copy down the notes. I will summarize it for you, later." The professor said with a charming smile. Obedient, as they were not, the high-schoolers engaged themselves in writing.

The classroom was large and spacious. With a greenboard and podium on one wall, there were curved rows of wooden benches, occupying half of the room. Standing on the rectangular podium, Ray Kon glanced at his pupils. With a satisfied smile, he turned to face the greenboard, wiping off the unnecessary data. As soon as that happened, the apparently silent class bustled with life.

The seats were arranged like the ones in an auditorium, curved, step-by-step increasing in elevation, and ending before the back wall. And this is where, the most interesting group of students were currently sitting. Mariam, Julia and Hilary occupied the last row, while Max, Tala, Tyson and Kai were sitting in front of them, respectively.

"Ssh Kai!" Julia whispered. "Date?"

Without looking up from his book, the phoenix prince sternly replied, "No!"

The thunder princess slapped her forehead. "Baka! Today? Date?"

Crossing his hands over his chest, he eyed her sharply. "Not today, not tomorrow, not next week. Never!"

"Brother…." Julia felt like crying. With a tired sigh, she asked, "What is today's date?"

"July 27th, Julie darling." Tala winked, turning back.

"Okie. Thanks Tala." She too smiled at her boyfriend. "Here, Mariam has no idea of what day or date it is. Hilary madam is very busy in her notes, and our president is just…"

"Aww Julia, don't you know, Mr President is busy with a special date these days." Tyson said in a sing-song voice.

"With our vice-president, right Tys?" Max too propped in. At this, the rest couldn't help laughing madly. Except for the said persons, that is.

"Guys, will you please shut up? Someone here is trying to concentrate on the notes." Hilary whined.

"And that certainly isn't you Hils, so chill!" Tyson playfully mentioned, folding his arms behind his head, and leaning against the backrest.

"Very funny, Tyson." The brunette sarcastically applauded.

"What's the murmur at the back kids?" Ray raised his voice, noticing some disturbance.

"Ah! Why does this neko-jin has to be our math prof?" Mariam rested her head on the table. "He's got so sharp ears. Damn!" Suddenly, her face grimaced at the realization. "He just called us kids!"

"Of all things on earth, this is what we are? Kids?" Max joined the antics of his girlfriend.

"Seventeen whole years of survival….and we're still kids?" Tyson felt agitated

"Stop the melodrama, will ya?" Kai tried to shut them. A few seconds of silence followed.

"By the way, she hasn't arrived yet. What say, guys?" Julia asked, curling a strand of orange bangs over her forefinger.

"Who Julia?" Hilary enquired.

"That red-head….Miss Salima!" Mariam said in a matter-of-fact way.

"Won't she be busy. She has classes too girls."

"Hilly babe, you are so innocent! That woman….." she started angrily. "Sorry, sorry Salima mam," she gulped on noticing Hilary's death glares. "Salima mam visits our class almost every day. Since the last whole week!"

True it was. Salima, the chemistry professor had been visiting their class, thrice since the past week. Co-incidence or whatever it was, it would be during Ray's lectures only. Just as the group was relaxing, a sharp feminine voice caught their attention…

"Excuse me sir Kon?" All eyes darted at the entrance, to see the aforementioned red-head standing there. It was clear that she was deliberately trying to hide that wide smile on her face.

"Here we go again…" Julia muttered.

"Sure Miss." Saying so, Ray excused himself from the class, and went outside.

"I'm very suspicious there's something cooking between them…" Tyson prophetically mumbled.

"Me too."

"Me three." Max and Tala added.

"If there is any affair between them, does this mean sir Ray is cheating on his girlfriend?" Max innocently asked.

"Dude, that's bad. I would never cheat on my Julie."

"Nor can I ever think of betraying Mari." Realization stuck, as Tala and Max widened their eyes, larger than coins. They just confessed their feelings in front of all others. Cheeks turned cerise, as the duo dumbfoundedly looked at each other. Luckily, others were busy with their own works to even bother.

"Don't tell anyone. I won't either." Max whispered at last. Tala's cheeks puffed with pride and happiness. Really, Max wasn't the innocent, chubby baby that everyone thought him to be.

Meanwhile, Julia was nibbling the bottom of her fountain pen. "Miss Salima's such an enchantress. We need to get to the bottom of this Mari. You with me?"

"Yes, off course Jules! I even have a plan. But we need to be patient for that."

"That's the problem sweetheart. We don't have time." The Latina paused to examine the blunette's expressions. "What if she ends up taking all boys….Oops"

Mariam gulped hard at that. "Despite that we have boyfriends, our badass image is at stake girl!"

"You're getting my point Mariam. That's like my girl." Julia patted her back.

"Now, time for operation 'Unearth the relationship of sir Ray and Salima mam'" Mariam squealed with delight.

"Uh….the name could've been better." The brunette sweat-dropped at the childish-evilness of her friend.

Oblivious to their friends and the world, however, there was a couple, lost in their own fantasies. Hilary gripped the shoulder blades of her beloved, as he leaned back to her touch. Her forehead was resting against the back of his head. Rubies and amethysts were covered under petal eyelids, as the owners were busy, enthralling their partner's presence. "These guys are insane." Hilary said in that dazed state.

"Let them be." Was Kai's obvious response.

"Sure." And no further words were exchange, as the pair was losing themselves into each other.

"Don't they look cute, now." Tyson grinned, as the gang's attention drifted to their friends.

"Indeed." Was all they could respond.

"Ssh guys. Silence please! Here comes our prof." Zeo blurted, as he was sitting in the first row. Every activity came to a standstill, as Ray entered again.

All students were looking at him expectantly. "Good news for you, dear students." He announced with a smile, halting to take in their reactions. "Your exam dates have been fixed. You'll get your time-table soon. Start early, and they'll be a piece of cake. Wish you all the best."

"Oh no..."

"Shit!"

"Damn it!"

"Utterly ridiculous!"

Before any more colourful words could be heard, Zeo interrupted, "Are you sure sir?"

"Yes, Zeo. Just now Miss Salima informed me that."

"See you idiots, she came to inform that." Kai taunted.

"Just wait for twenty seconds Kai. We will discuss that as well." Tyson gritted his teeth.

Hilary, Tala, Mariam, Julia, Max, all looked incredulously at the blunette, while Kai clenched a fist. "And why is that, Granger?" The rest gulped. Kai taking his surname means Tyson's screwed badly now. 'Rest in peace, bro.' they prayed in their mind.

Tyson, who was unmindful of the situation coolly spoke, "The lunch bell rings bro, what else?"

Everyone fell in anime style, as the bell rung….

In The Canteen:

The canteen of Bakuten High School was extensively large. It was open from three sides with the view of the school garden outside. Airy, and bright, it was a perfect place to enjoy your lunch. All around, circular tables were arranged, with five metallic, well-cushioned chairs circling each one of them. The food counter was on the fourth, closed side, and the place was full of students that time. Kai and his friends entered and went towards their regular table. Tyson and Tala pulled a chair each from adjacent ones, as they all settled down.

"Now fellas, what's your plans?" Hilary eagerly asked.

"First, we'll follow professor Ray to his home. Just to check if he goes straight to Miss Mariah, or Salima mam meets him on the way. Then we'll do some blade practice. Not to forget, we have to get an invitation of sir's engagement ceremony, that occurs this Sunday. Maxie, just take a note, will ya?" Tyson expectantly looked at Max who nodded in response. "Great! Later on, maybe attend Salima mam's lecture. Ah, she's sweet." He dreamily placed a hand on his cheek. "After that meet-…."

"Shut the fuck up Tyson!" the brunette yelled. "Not about your not-so-meaningful plans. I meant the studies. Exams are approaching after all."

"Oh that?" his tone was that of astonishment. "The wicked witch of eight grade," he grinned, showing the well-formed row of pearly white teeth….Yes, note the sarcasm! "You should've said it first. Why fuss? Woah, that rhymed XD"

The VP slapped her forehead. The dragoon wielder had to be that dumb? Duh!

"Sure, lord Granger, care 'bout the important stuffs now?" she gave a pleading look to him, a purely sarcastic one!

"Of course, of course, Romi darling. Getting serious now," He extended a palm, as if to stop her from saying anything further. "After reading my answers in the previous exam, I feel like writing 'LOL' in front of each one." Everyone, including the ones on the nearby tables burst into fits of wild laughter, applauding for the honesty of our champ.

It took a while for the laughter to subside. "So, what's your status people?" Julia asked munching on her sandwich.

"Well…." Max naively spoke, scratching his head.

"What is it Maxie?" Mariam winked.

Shades of light pink rose up to his cheeks. "Umm, we have four options utmost." His voice was hardly audible, as if the information was confidant matter.

"It is?" Mariam leaned forward, joining her hands together.

[In a dramatic tone] The atmosphere was now filled with suspense. Six pairs of eyes, ogling at the poor American. A drop of sweat trickled down from his temples. Max gulped. Was he really going to say that? Yes, he will. He is a good friend, who ought to help them in tough times like these….

He leaned forward as well. The rest, following his cue.

"Plan A: Study the whole chapters."

The others nodded.

"Plan B: Study only important topics."

His friends moved even more forward. Now, their heads were touching each other.

"Plan C: Buy ready-made notes."

They paused, looking at each other, nodding at an unsaid agreement. "And?"

"Plan D: Pray to God." The seriousness with which he said that was remarkable.

Julia and Tala were incredulously looking at each other and then at Max. Kai and Hilary mouthed a 'wtf'. Tyson was the first to pound his fist on the table and laugh heartily. Mariam scowled at her lover, then smacking him on the head, started laughing as well. Such was their high-school life, full of fun and happiness.

"Argh! You guys know nothing." Tala boasted. "I am the one almost prepared for the exams."

"Oh, really Tala?" Julia said in disbelief. "Elaborate please?"

"That's easy." He shrugged. "Pen, pencil, scale, eraser, everything's ready…..Now all I have to do is study. Ha ha!"

Kai and Julia roared in unison, "Shut the fuck up, Valkov!"

"Don't make me throw my shoes at you now Tala." Hilary too gritted her teeth. While the remaining others were very busy giggling. In this way, the lunch break ended.

In Chemistry Class:

"Before continuing with where we had left in the last class, let me just summarise the basics for you, students." Miss Salima announced, pacing back and forth across the podium. "The first is covalent bond. So, a covalent bond is about sharing of electrons. Just like there is sharing of love in a relationship, atoms share electrons." The learners chortled a bit. Salima stopped, writing the keywords on the greenboard. "Then is the polar covalent bond. It is like a selfish relationship. One lover is benefitted more, while the other somewhat less. Anyway, the relationship is still maintained. Any doubts?"

'Definitely Ray is teaching her all this.' Julia pondered.

"Mam?" Mathilda, who was in the first row as well, raised a hand. "Can you please revise it without referring relationships?" she hesitantly asked.

Salima smiled at the sense of responsibility of the pinkette. "Sure thing, Mathilda. The reference to real life is given, just so that you can know application. Chemistry is a beautiful subject, and it is applicable outside the labs and experiment systems as well. We don't really call the romantic affairs as chemistry for no reason, do we?"

"No mam." She obediently nodded.

"Besides, you kids these days, don't see anything apart from these things, do you? No, right? That's why, if relating to these terms, we can fit your minds with the correct information, what's the harm? But don't worry, if it isn't comfortable, we will just go straight ahead." she very gently explained. Wasn't it just so true?

Mathilda understood her mentor's point and nodded in approval.

"Moving on…." The red-haired lecturer halted in her steps, as dark purple orbs landed on a turquoise bunch of hair, lying on the table in the second row. Zeo was lost in his dreamland, when a piece of chalk sharply hit his head along with a voice, "Wake up Mr Zagart. My class isn't meant for sleeping." All students started chuckling, as he woke up, back to his senses in a minute.

"Why on earth, do they have to keep chemistry class just after lunch break, really?" Tyson mumbled, "It just adds on to sleep." And a yawn followed as well.

Back to Salima and Zeo, the teacher crossed her arms, narrowing eyes at the lad. "Why were you sleeping in class, Mr Zagart?"

His expressions softened, as he looked directly into her eyes. "Your voice is so sweet, that it lulls me to sleep, mam." He earnestly smiled.

Salima rolled her eyes. "Then why aren't the other students sleeping?"

"That's because they aren't listening to you….mam."

She sniggered, shaking her head in stupefaction. "You kids are literally from outer space." Muttering incoherently, she got back on the podium.

Julia held Mariam's hand tightly. They were suspecting an affair between their teachers. But now? Even their class boys were flirting with the red-head. "What do we do Julie?!" gritting her teeth, Mariam whispered.

.

.

The chemistry class concluded five minutes ago. Next is the English lecture. The students lost in their own respective works. Julia whispered to Tala, "Hey Tala, let's bunk this lecture. It is prof Miguel anyway."

"No Julie. I can't."
"Why?"

"Because ninety percent of the exam is based on that one lecture that you miss, and that one topic that you didn't studied." The wolf-prince stated calmly.

With a fallen face, Julia sat on her place. Miguel, the English professor stepped in, in the meantime.

"Hello students. You might be very much aware of the upcoming exams. In this class, we will just revise some grammar portion. 'Cause as far as I remember, you messed with it majorly in the last examination."

Everyone's faces overjoyed at this. A revision class, meant a free class, after all. "I will question, and you guys will answer." Gaining positive response from the students, he began. "First question from figures of speech, 'He does not like girls.' What is 'he' in this sentence?"

"I know this one!" Enrique cheered loudly. Seeing his enthusiasm, Miguel allowed him to answer.

"He is stupid, sir." He frankly heralded. The class hooted and howled, banging their tables.

Miguel sweat-dropped. "'He' is a subject, Enrique. And a pronoun too. Please sit down."

Done with that, he asked a few related questions to others, which they answered correctly. "Moving on to sentence construction, I will give you a sentence, and you will have to rectify the error in it. Am I clear?"

"Yes sir."

Nodding, he narrated the question, "A bull and a cow is grazing in the field…..Correct this sentence. Who will answer now? Yes, Mariam please."

Very happily, Mariam stood up. "A cow and a bull is grazing in the field." She promptly replied.

The blonde master was perplexed. "Exactly how did you correct this, Miss Mariam?"

"Oh, very easy sir. Ladies first, after all." Tables were banged as loud wave of laughter surged past the class.

Poor Miguel, what was he supposed to say? He allowed her to sit as well. 'This class is just a bunch of clowns.' Shaking his head, he went out of the class, as the bell rung.

The last class of Thursday, the drama class was to be held in another room. Hence all students were headed for that direction. In the corridors, Julia and Mariam were walking side-by-side, while Tyson, Tala and Max were huddled together. At the same moment, their eyes landed on Ray and Salima, who were standing somewhat ahead of their drama room. The couple were engrossed in chatting, with Salima blushing every now and then. The smiles they gave each other were unique as well.

"Told ya guys, they are having an affair." Tala hushed.

"No doubt now bro. It is so incredible." Tyson joined too.

Just as the gang was talking, a student of junior batch, by the name Daichi came near Salima.

"Thank you so much for clarifying that doubt mam. I was able to answer the mock question correct." He smilingly said. "This flower is for you." Saying, he extended a yellow rose in her direction.

"Aww, Daichi. Thank you dear. But all I did was my responsibility. If I won't guide you as a teacher, who will? Right?" she gently tapped his cheek, as the student took his leave.

"I bet he is their son." Tyson cocked a brow. "His and Salima mam's hair are also red."

"For the first time ever, I agree with Tyson." Mariam affirmed.

"You guys, just stop that dirty thinking already. Daichi is just a student, okay. Our junior." Hilary poked in between.

Kai also appeared out of nowhere too. "Plus, just stop meddling with them. Their relationship is none of our concern."

"Um, actually, it is Kai. Since the time this all has started, our syllabus isn't completed to the expected level." Hilary clutched onto his arm, before walking inside the room. This room was even more large. With a large stage, towards one end of the wall, there were velvet chairs arranged at its front. Microphones, sound systems, were connected too. At the very back, were few shelfs, containing costumes and other props, probably.

Hiro Granger, the drama teacher was awaiting them already. Once everything and everyone was settled, he began. "Today, we will learn about romance-comedy dramas. Popularly known as romcoms. I request your class heads, Kai and Hilary to arrive on the stage. When they did, he spoke to them, "Here Kai, this is the first line of the play you have to enact. The other conversations have to be developed in real time. Can you do it?"

They both nodded. "Take five minutes to discuss it all." Saying, Hiro handed them the paper on which the line was written. Kai took it as he and Hilary walked a few steps back. Rosey lips rose to form a smirk, as he read the line.

"What's it?" The brunette eagerly asked. Kai showed her the paper. Now, she also couldn't help smiling. 'The night was dark….' Was the sentence. "It is going to be fun babe." She said, pulling him on the centre of the stage.

Inhaling sharply, amethysts locked themselves in the prison of rubies. Kai held both her hands into his. Fifty shades of pink and red were heating their faces. Anyway, with a clear, masculine voice, he took the lead, "The night was dark…"

"The moon was high."

"Romeo stopped the bike…"

"Juliet asked, 'why?'"

Kai took a step closer, "He came close."

"She felt shy…" saying Hilary turned around, taking a step away.

"Then he said, "Your dad's there darling, won't leave me without a sigh."

Wild applauds and hooting followed, as everyone cheered for their president and vice-president. That day of school was full of fun for them. But the real amusement happened that very evening, when Tala, Tyson, Julia and Mariam spotted Ray in a restaurant. He was talking with someone on the phone. "No doubt it's Salima mam." They assumed.

.

.

[With Ray]

"Hello Ray, where are you?" a sweet, girly voice inquired from the other side.

"Uh well Riah. You remember that jewellery shop where you saw a very beautiful diamond necklace?"

"Oh yes, yes!" she squealed excitedly.

"But I said, I will buy it for you on our engagement day?"

"Of course, Ray, of course." Clasping her hands together, she was now a bubble of joy.

"Well, I'm currently in the restaurant beside that shop. Will probably get late. See you sweetie, take care." And he cut the call.

.

.

[With the Students]

"See, he called madam Salima. Now she may show up any minute." Mariam blurted.

"Great! We may need evidences to show Kai and Hilly. Who's brought the phone?" A confused Julia asked. Damn it! On an important day as this, they all came without their phones.

"Can life be more tragic?!" Tyson punched on the bark of a nearby tree, hurting himself in return.

"Silence guys, there comes Salima mam." Tala pointed. The group was standing somewhat away from the restaurant gate, but since it was made of glass, they could see Ray clearly. And now Salima also.

.

.

[With Ray]

"Hello Miss Salima, glad you could make it." The neko-jin warmly welcomed her, as they shook hands.

"My pleasure Ray. How could I just let go of this golden chance, after all?" She smiled gratefully. They were now, sitting on one of the tables. "Are you sure Ray, he will like me?"

"Of course, Salima, why not? You are such a kind-hearted person. My friend Kane will definitely like you." He assured.

"I am just getting a bit sceptical probably." The red-head wiped her forehead.

"Look Salima, when a guy proposes to a girl, there are five possible answers- Yes; No; I think of you as a friend; I am engaged; I love somebody else.

And when a girl proposes to a guy, there are five possibilities as well- Yes; Of course; Alright; Okay; Me too. So relax."

She chortled a bit at his answer. Kane was a friend of Ray whom he had introduced to Salima, few months back. When she saw her for the first time, she fell for him. Within the past months, she understood her feelings more clearly, and now, wanted to meet him, and know him in person. Ray was the mediator. In those lectures, when Salima had been visiting his class, it was either due to some office work, or about Kane. Ray had convinced Kane to meet Salima once. It turned out, that the blunette was also in love with her. Now all they had to do was meet, and share it. Today was that fortunate day.

Ray stood up, as he saw Kane appearing at the entrance. Shaking hands, both men exchanged formal greetings. "Now, buddy, this is Miss Salima, my colleague. And Salima, this is my friend Kane Yamashita." The said people exchanged greetings. "Now, let me leave you in solitude. Discuss, share, and don't forget to tell me later on. Until, I've got some works to do." He winked, and was about to leave, when Salima stopped him.

"Where are you going Ray. We would love if you stay."

"Got gifts to buy for my lady. We have our engagement approaching." Smiling widely, he turned and left.

.

.

[With the Students]

"So that's it?" Mariam incredulously questioned. "No RaySal ever?"

"Man, what a mess it was. Turns out, this blue-haired guy takes madam Salima." Tala strtched his arms.

"We should've just listened to Kai and Hilary." Julia sadly expressed. "Lord, I was expecting it to be some sizzling, spicy, romance story. I wanted it to be…..The Chemistry of Our Math Teacher!" she pouted.

With fallen, disappointed faces, they all returned to their respective homes.

Ray-Mariah's engagement Day:

Today was a big day for Ray and Mariah. It was their engagement ceremony, after all. Kai, Hilary, Tala, Julia, Max, Mariam, Tyson all were invited. There was some time for the ceremony to begin, so all were busy goofing around. Ming-Ming the popstar of their school was also present. Since a karaoke machine was there, she began singing. Her voice was actually good. Kai-Hilary, Tala-Julia, Max-Mariam, all couples were on the dance floor. Tyson, being left alone, went to Ming-Ming, and they both were singing and clicking selfies.

Everybody's attention diverted to the entrance, as Kane and Salima stepped in. Hand-in-hand, the couple was indeed looking made for each other. Smiling, thy went to Ray and Mariah, and congratulated them. Shortly after that, the ceremony began and the couple exchanged the rings.

"I love you Riah." Ray whispered in her ears.

Mariah looked up to him. His eyes were filled with oceans of love, only for her. "I love you too, Ray. In fact, I love you so much, that I can fight the world for you."

Ray narrowed his eyes at this. "But you always fight with me, Riah."

"That's because you are the world to me, Ray. You really are." And nothing more was required to be said.

After the ceremony, all the guests returned. The disaster, however, happened that very night. Tyson was talking with his girlfriend, Arianna, over the phone. But she wasn't responding too well.

"Baby, are you jealous?" He asked, as naively as possible.

"No." came a furious reply.

"Aria, are you jealous?" He asked again.

"No."

He smirked at that. Only Dragoon knew how much Tyson loved testing Arianna's patience. Usually, it would be the other way round. But now that he's getting a chance, our champ will make full use of it! "Babes, are you jealous?"

"I already told you. No!" Aria yelled from the receiver's end.

"Can I get a kiss?" even he didn't know what came into him. Those words, just escaped his mouth.

"Go get a kiss from that Ming-Ming, with whom you were singing so lovey-dovey." she grimaced.

"Come to your room's balcony, will ya?" Now things were starting to clear out for the dragoon wielder. Discretely, he plugged on the ear phones, and headed towards his bike. Revving it in full speed, he let some moments of silence trail between themselves. Nearing his destination, he slowed down.

"What for?"

"That will be discussed, but before it, I want my gift" he winked, imagining how cute she might be looking in those light-pink shades burning her cheek.

"Arianna doesn't kiss objects Granger." she replied with passion and a sense of regality, walking outside, and leaning against the balcony railings. "Let your presence be known."

"Here I am then." As soon as these words entered her ears, the Russian's eyes widened in disbelief. There, in front of her, Tyson himself was standing.

Cutting the call, she astonishingly whispered, "What the hell are you doing here, baka?! Ni-san is awake still!"

"Last checked, he's talking with his girlfriend, and I am with mine."

"Seriously serious?"

"Yupp! Now my reward for racing here in five minutes, escaping your ever-so-useless watchman, climbing that pillar over there, standing on the railing ever since I've come, and managing it all, without the notice of my dear frenemy, Kai Hiwatari."

"Now that you've done these many acrobatics, why not?" Closing her eyes, she lowered her lips. Tyson smiled genuinely too. This was going to be one of the best memories of their lives after all. Their lips were just an inch apart, when someone knocked on the door.

"Aria? Is someone there? I heard a noise." came a slightly restless voice of her big brother, Kai Hiwatari.

"Idiot Hiwatari!" Tyson scowled, while Arianna looked frightened. "No bad words for my bro! Got it Granger?"

"What do we do now? Get lost Tyson. Just this very moment." Panic evident in her voice.

"Aria? Are you listening?" The voice outdoors raised.

Her hands were on Tyson's chest, while looking back, she almost had pushed him down.

"Wo-ah girl! Easy, easy. I will die this way." he said, clutching the railings tightly.

"Oh no, that is also true. What to do Granger?" she was biting her nails now.

"Arianna, I am coming." in front of their horrified eyes, the door knob turned. Kai entered. Finding his sister near the edge of the gallery, he went towards her.

"Why are you sweating so bad? In this cold weather, to add on?"

"..."

"Hn?" he raised a brow. "Anyway, what was that noise here?"

"T-That? D-Dragoon...I mean,...I meant Dragon."

"Dragon? What?"

"There!" she exclaimed, pointing in a distant direction, where darkness was hovering like anything. "A dragonfly ni-san. Yes, a dragonfly only." she smiled, unable to believe she was giving this lame excuse.

"A dragonfly? Are you trying to convince me? Or yourself?"

"Myself" she muttered, slapping her head at her own foolishness.

"Did you say something?"

"Oh no, no, ni-san. How is Hilary-chan?" If diversion doesn't work on objects of conversation, you better divert the topic!

Here, Tyson was clutching the pillar, trying very hard to not burst into laughter. "Man, this girl is something..." shaking his head, he slipped down, walking in the darkness.

"Let's have dinner." saying, Kai also walked past her and outside the chamber.

"Sure." his not-so-little sister followed, eyes still stuck on the retreating figure in the dark, and then cracking up in a hilarious fashion, lying on the bed, until tears crossed the threshold of ocean-like cerulean orbs.

What better to conclude the chapter at this note, right? :P

How was it dear readers? Do tell me in the reviews.

Thank you for reading. Bye!
