Katya sprung into action, as fluid as water, pushing the attacker's elbow up and over her head before grabbing the forearm of the same arm and twisting, shoving the palm of her hand against the attacker's now twisted elbow and pressing down, putting her in a painful hold.
It was Aneszka, in her Black Widow's suit. How she had found them, or why now, Katya had no clue, but that wasn't important- "Peter!" She cried, but he was already sprinting into the school, presumably to grab the emergency web shooters he kept under the lockers and the serum they'd stored there earlier that day for exactly this type of emergency.
Aneszka twisted out of the hold by moving with it, her leg swinging upward to deliver a hard kick to Katya's face, but Katya ducked in time.
"Why are you following me, maltyutka?" Aneszka grunted through the effort between dodging and attacking. Katya wanted to scoff- "little one", so Aneszka remembered her too- but was spending most of her time just trying to block Aneszka's attacks.
"I"m trying to help you!" she cried in Russian, grabbing Aneszka's foot on the upswing and twisting, sending her sprawling across the floor. "Please, can we just talk."
Aneszka pressed something on her ankle that brought out a blade from her suit, which she slashed at Katya with. Katya dodged, grabbing the hand with the blade and bending it backwards at the wrist, pressing Aneszka's head down with her other hand, forcing her to drop it. Katya kicked it away. Where the hell was Peter?
"We could have talked if you'd have come to meet me," Anezka somersaulted out of Katya's hold, grabbing the hand Katya'd had against her head as she did so and pulling her with her to the ground , ending with her knee on Katya's chest. "But Dreykov didn't send any orders, you're a defector."
Katya kicked Aneszka off of her and somersaulted backwards to stand up herself. The two circled each other for a moment. "Aneszka I'm not a defector. Dreykov is dead." The air was tight enough to be played like a violin.
Katya didn't have time to hear Aneszka scoff, as the woman sent out a blast of energy from her gauntlet that seized Katya's body in a temporary vice. Katya cried out in pain, urging her limbs to move, but they couldn't until Aneszka was already on top of her again, pulling her up by her hair. She bit back the cry that threatened to loose from her mouth and scrambled for footing, finding it, and using it to kick herself upwards and around, grabbing Aneszka's head between her knees and pulling forward to get them both on the floor, where she flipped Aneszka over, keeping a hand on Aneszka's face to keep it to the ground, before repositioning herself on Aneska's back, knee between her shoulder blades and keeping a hand on her head just in case, the other on Aneszka's arm, which she pulled behind her in a vice hold
"Liar!" Aneszka spit into the asphalt, somehow gaining leverage in her feet and rolling over, shoving Katya's back against the asphalt instead. The back of Katya's head smacked the pavement painfully before she could stop it.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw a splatter of webbing adhere to the bus, and thankfully Peter soon followed it, swinging forward to kick Aneszka squarely in the chest, off of Katya. Katya rocked herself into standing immediately and dropped into a silat stance- but she really didn't want to attack unless it was necessary.
But Aneszka was back on her feet, A karambit now suddenly in her hands. She slashed through the webbing Peter was desperately trying to adhere to her nearly as quickly as he was doing so.
"Peter, the serum!" Katya called, inching closer to Aneszka. Peter was swinging between two school buses, still trying to get Aneszka webbed up. Katya took a second to glance behind her as Peter was on the backswing, waiting for him to toss it to her, but he seemed too preoccupied with his webs. "Pauchok!"
This got his attention, but he was already on the swing forward, aiming again to get Aneszka tied up. He managed to do so, a bit, but Katya watched Aneszka's free hand, the one with the karambit, glint in the streetlights as Peter swung closer-
Katya lunged, shoving him bodily out of the way on instinct, and felt the knife slash through her arm and drag down her side, ending somewhere in her abdomen. She cried out in pain but gritted her teeth, wrapping her own hand around the one Aneszka held the blade in and pulling it across her, throwing Aneszka to the floor. Aneszka wasted no time in standing back up again, before scaling one of the buses so she was out of Peter's reach.
"S.H.E.I.L.D., I knew it." she snarled, and muttered something into her widow's gauntlet- probably trying to get some type of radio connection, which Katya knew she wasn't going to find. With a pang Katya realized just how far gone she was.
"My orders aren't to kill you, so I won't," Aneszka told her, standing up. Katya could feel the warmth spreading through her dress, but could barely feel it.
"Aneszka, Dreykov is gone. Peter, the serum!"
Peter skittered to a stop next to her and pressed it into her hand, and Katya flung herself at the bus to scale it herself. "We're trying to help!"
Aneska sprinted off the edge of the bus, onto the roof of another to put distance between them. "If I see you again, defector, orders or not, I'll kill you."
"Aneszka-" Katya tried to pull herself up onto the roof, but her arm was slippery with blood, and pain tore at her side. "Wait-!"
But as quickly as she appeared, into the shadows of the darkened parking lot and surrounding alleyways, she was gone.
