chapter-2

I listened closely as I took a good look around the tower, spotting different people walking around; I even saw a guy with really nice looking armor and different weapons, there was a guy at one of the computers (which I soon found out to be a vault to hold all of my equipment that I wasn't using) seeming to be looking for something but getting frustrated, a robot, even some trees and bushes littering the courtyard in a comforting fashion. I closed my eyes feeling the soft breeze flow through my hair in a calm manner, making my hair sway in the wind a bit. I wasn't sure what I looked like just yet, for I haven't gotten the chance to look, but I hoped I didn't look all bad. But going unnoticed by me most of the male (and some female) population looking at her in aw at her beauty, her hair a dark sleek black going to her shoulders her skin a nice smooth purple with the light dancing softly under her skin giving her a soft glow, her figure while not having the cleanest clothes as she had just been brought back to life still looked astonishing.

"And this tower is where the guardians live" the ghost would say happily

I smiled softly at the ghost as I walked up a small flight of stairs and straight across the courtyard to another flight of stairs going down, and walking along a long hallway that lead to s big room with three different people and a large oval-shaped table. One of them was a robot with a horn and a black cape he looked to be the joker of the group, then across from him was a young-looking black woman she looked to be the wisest of the group, her poster showing confidence, and when she spoke to the people around her it sounds wise and full of knowledge, and then there was a strongly built man in the middle, looking to be the leader, he was a soft blue color with no hair but none the less in my eyes he looked handsome. When I fully entered the room all of them looked up at me making me feel imitated but their presence, had a sense of power that surrounded them, making me feel small. Walking down another small flight of stairs I got led to the robot guy by my ghost who greeted me with a cheerful tone.

"Well, hey there stranger. Welcome to the tower. A new hunter? I'd toast to your health, but I'm supposed to be all reputable now," the man would say, it eased my tension a bit with his easy-going nature.

"Good to have you on your feet. It's rough out there in the wilds. Take this, put it on and keep your eyes clear. The wilds are a rough place," he would Finish off passing me

the chest plate of armor that was by his side before going back to working on some maps spread out on the table.

I walked away from him (also finding out later that his name was Cayde-6 and he was my vanguard) and to the next person over, who was the only female in the group, I was told by Ghost that her name was Ikora. Once I was in front of her she looked up at me and spoke, with a soft tone that had its authority to it. She didn't speak to me much but she did give me some bounty's, apologizing saying there was too much to be done,to sit and talk. Not that I Blame her, she looks like a busy woman.

Then. Then I walked up to the man in the middle, the leader, Commander Zavala, once at his side he stood a little straighter to his full height and man was he imitating; he had an aura of power surrounding him but most importantly he was good looking, his skin was a pale blue, his eyes were a crystal whit with a tint of gray. His voice held power when he spoke to me.

"Good afternoon guardian glad to see you made it to the last Chita safely" he says in a kind voice as if he was ganguly happy to see a new light in the tower.

"I have some missions that may be of intrestinting to you. Old foes among the devil splicer, the hive, and the vex have returned, Guarden. The vanguard will cal upon you for help". He would soon speak with more authority as if it was important for me to know that i will be called on for help against these new enemies or new to me at least

'i'll have to do my own repurchase on them to get a better grasp of the enemies i will be facing.' I thought knowing it was a top priority for me to soak up any information about this new world as fast as I could if I wanted to survive.

They spoke a bit more about her duty's before she walked back out of the vanguard hall and to a person names Banshee-44 not knowing a Serbian pair of eyes were on her as she walked.

POV change, Zavala.

I was simply doing some paperwork that Cayde was no good at doing because he doesn't understand the importance of this paperwork. As i grumbled in my mind about the extra paperwork i saw the new guardian that was coming in an once i saw her face i stopped thinking about the extra paperwork and focused on her beauty, she was grease but i didn't let myself think about it took long knowing i was her superior it wasn't right. But as I tried to focus on my work my eyes kept trailing to her as she spoke to cayde and ikora, then she came to me. I told her about her duties as things she needs to know. wanting to try and stay professional and not blush and stutter like an idiot, I dragged out the conversation a bit to just talk to her a bit longer but eventually let her go watching as she left. Ikora gave me a look and cayde laughing at me as I shook my head and went back to work, my mind still wandering back to her.

'I never got her name' I thought.

I walked back up the flight of stairs and then turned a corner to a robot man, having a blue and yellow paint job with robes as clothes. He seemed like a really nice guy but gave me an off vibe with how he forgets things so easily ghost would latter inform me that he is like that because of the amount of times he's been reset, that Exos when they get reset lose their memory and the reason they do it is because something tamatic happened to them that they couldn't handle, and that's why they have the number in their names, it's how many times they have been reset. But, after a Serbian amount of resets their memory becomes worse and worse.

But we did have a nice conversation for a bit about weapons and which ones will probably be best for me, which was a hand cannon, SMG. And a rocket launcher which he put in an order for me that I can pick up later. She then bid him a goodbye and walked away to her next destination.

I headed to the hangar where the shipwart was, and she was gonna tell me what I needed to get for my ship to get moving. And once I approached her she spoke in a smooth southern accent.

"The Arcadia class ships were always resilient. Shame about the warp drive, though. Still, lucky you didn't explode on take off" she says sternly, as if she was worried about me even though she didn't even know my name or me for that matter, heck i don't even know that. But nonetheless I gave her a nod saying I would fix it soon enough just needed to get that part.

I then walked out of the hanger and across the plaza, to the other side and into an area with a person that's said to be the speaker. A well respected man from what little my ghost told me. I then walked to the railing, looking up at what the ghost called the traveler.

A man in all white robes, and a mask. walked down a flight of stairs, speaking to me.

"There was a time… When we were much more powerful… but that was long ago. Until it wakes and finds its voice, I am the one who speaks for the traveler." He said as he approached me and led me closer to the railing with an outstretched hand.

"You must have no end of questions, Guardian. In its dying breath the traveler created the Ghosts,to speak out to those who can wield its light as a weapon —— Guardians, to protect us, and do what the traveler itself no longer can."

"What happened to it?" I spoke, deserting my eyes from the Traveler for a moment to look at the speaker.

I could tell you of the great battle, centuries ago... how the Traveler was crippled. I could tell you the power of the darkness, its ancient enemy. There are many tales, told throughout the City to frighten children. Lately those tales have stopped. Now...the children are frightened anyway." He says solemnly, facing away from me walking away.

He then turns back to me. "The Darkness is coming back. We will not survive it this time" he said.

I turn to him watching what he did an listening to closely to his words.

"Its armies surround us. The fallen are just the beginning." He said it like it was a statement like he could tell the future. With his Demeter he probably could.

I look at him straightening my posture ready to fight.

"What can i do." I say sternly.

"You must push back the darkness. Guardian are fighting on earth an beyond... join them. Your Ghost will guide you. I only hope he choose wisely." He tone was void of emotion. But, if you listened closely you could hear a hint of tenderness. He walked closer to me as he spoke before turning an walking away an up a flight of stairs.

"I did... I'm sure of it. We're in this together now." My Ghost said softly turning to look at me spinning an turning the fines of his shell. I then walked away from the Speakers area knowing exactly what my next move was.
