Olivia's dizziness had diminished significantly over the past two weeks, and she was excited to be back at work, even if she was still on desk duty.

She noticed that she'd missed a call while chasing down a lead for a case. She listened to the message, then hurried over to Elliot's office.

She sighed in relief that his partner was out and closed the door. "What's going on?" Elliot asked curiously. "We got a message from the genetic counselor!" Liv exclaimed. "All the tests turned out fine, and we can call her back to find out the gender!"

"You aren't having second thoughts about finding out?" Elliot teased. Olivia pulled a chair next to him, put the phone on speaker and dialed nervously. "I hope she's still at her desk," she murmured as the phone rang.

"This is Asha, can I help you," the counselor answered.

Olivia explained that they were returning her message and wanted to find out the gender and Elliot put his arm around her.

"You're having a girl!" Asha told them. Olivia couldn't remember how she responded or ended the call.

She rubbed her stomach. "Hey there, baby girl," she said smiling. Elliot put his hands on top of hers. "We love you, owlet," he added.

After work, Elliot and Olivia stopped by a baby store. Even though neither of them had wanted pink or blue things for the baby, they hadn't bought any clothes or blankets yet because they'd wanted to wait until they were past the first trimester. Olivia stared around the store. "I didn't realize how pink and blue everything would be," she told Elliot in frustration. "I thought we could find clothes that were orange or turquoise."

"Look," Elliot showed her. He pointed out a turquoise blanket in the softest material either of them had ever felt.

"These is the first thing we're getting for the owlet," Olivia said, eyes shining. "Well, the first non book thing." The baby already had a growing library, and they loved reading to her each night.

As Elliot drove home, Olivia nuzzled the blanket against her face. "It's so soft," she murmured as she rubbed it between her fingers. "You are going to love your first blanket," she said, smiling at her stomach.

As he pulled into their parking space, Elliot smiled fondly at Liv. "You are an amazing mom," he told her, putting the blanket over her stomach and intertwining his fingers with hers, so both their hands rested on Liv's stomach.
