(Early Authors Note: Hello everyone! I just made this little story right here to see whether or not you all would want to see more. I did it all the way at the wedding arc because, honestly, I don't know anything about Naruto. I started watching but then just drifted away somewhere around the middle or end of the chuunin exams arc. So, if any of you care to share some things, I would be glad. Also, do you all want me to continue this? Please reply when you can.)
In the many ages (or 200 years, give or take some budget cuts) since Karstaag never returned from wherever-he-went, many of the Rieklings who guarded his castle just up-and-left.
Those Rieklings (having originally just been a bunch of Rieklings from different tribes, or from no tribes at all) formed the Ice-Guard tribe.
Even though they gave up hope of their boss coming back, they would not give up until they found the next biggest and baddest boss to serve.
Hence the name: Ice-Guard.
They have traveled across much of Tamriel, and many times they have found a new boss. The problem though, was keeping them. One way or another, the boss would suffer a fatal 'accident' courtesy of a blunder from the Rieklings.
It's been rough for them, wandering around the way they are. Honestly, they've been wandering for so long, many forgot what they left for in the first place.
But that all changed when they found themselves in a land even stranger than that of Tamriel. Were they on an undiscovered island? They had sailed in boats toward the west, so maybe. Maybe they might finally find a new boss!
With these joyous thoughts in mind, the tribe ran off into the wilderness of a completely unknown land.
The place was surprisingly peaceful.
No wild animals or anything. Just, silence. It didn't exactly feel welcoming, or anything at all, really. And while most of the Rieklings aren't very bright or speak normal speak, they all had the same feeling:
'We're being watched.'
They kept up their guard ever since. They would send Bristleback Riders ahead as scouts, and they usually reported nothing. Sentries were also set up at their camps, for more defense. All the camps they made they left behind, should they ever need to fall back, or, if other Rieklings come here also.
It was a long and lonely journey in this strange land.
Everything looked near-about the same. The trees seemed to keep on letting leaves fall, the whole biome felt autumn-y, and yet they saw no one in the trees or anywhere.
They found quite a few beasts, but none of them were boss-worthy. And those that were, died pretty quickly.
All in all, a boring journey.
Some even considered returning to Castle Karstaag. Surely their original boss has returned by now, right? He wouldn't just up and abandon them.
Never!
But through it all, they stayed on their course, looking for anything, anyone, who could be their new boss. All the while, they saw nothing watching them.
Unbeknownst to them, they were being watched, people in strange attire were well-hidden amongst the trees and shrubbery and after watching them for a few more minutes, they went back (with all haste and quietness) to a nearby village.
The village's name was Konoha. It was here that a most wonderful event was happening. Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuuga were getting married.
Everyone was happy at the news and wished their best for the new couple.
Meanwhile, in the office of the Hokage, Kakashi had just put away some paperwork when the same Ninja (for that is what they are) from before appeared and said "Hokage, we've spotted strange creatures near the village. They seem to just be wandering aimlessly, and yet are nearing the village step-by-step. What should we do?"
Kakashi, for his part, just sighed and knew this would be another problem. The marriage is in a few days, and yet, out of nowhere, strange blue homunculi start heading towards here.
Great. Just great.
Now, Kakashi knows that jumping to conclusions without any study or whatnot will just cause problems. If anything, they might be a migrating group of… whatever they are. What are they anyway? From what he's been told, they look like little blue goblins. This might actually be a problem.
Nonetheless, perhaps he can talk to them? Maybe come to an agreement or something? It might work. Better yet, they could be convinced to act as guards so all of Konoha can attend the wedding.
Yeah, that might work!
Maybe…?
