Author's Note: Hello! This is my first fanfic and I wanted to try something simple, so it's one of those fics where there's only dialogue and no descriptions. Honestly, when I imagined publishing my first fic, Bleach was not the fandom I expected it to be from, but hey, that's life. Also, I haven't actually finished Bleach, so my characterization of these two come from the many Hitsukarin fanfic I have read. This is for Hitsukarin week 2022 Day 1 and the prompt I chose was "Tears". I hope it's okay despite its shortness and any constructive criticism is welcome. I'm planning longer works for the other days, but no guarantees on when or if those will come out because school sucks. Anyways, enjoy!
Disclaimer: I don't own Bleach or any of its characters. They all belong to the author/mangaka Tite Kubo.
Day 1: Tears
"Karin, it's okay to cry you know."
"..."
"I'm not going to think any less of you if you start crying."
"..."
"I'm also waiting for an answer, because my knee is not invincible, and could give out any minute now."
"..."

"..."
"I … told myself I wouldn't cry when you'd ask me this question."
"Why?"
"Because I wanted you to see a beautiful, grinning, girlfriend accept your proposal, not a sobbing, messy, girlfriend with red eyes. Plus, it's cliche, and you know I hate romantic cliches."
"Karin, nothing, and I mean nothing, could ever make you not beautiful in my eyes. You're beautiful when you're angry and beautiful when you're happy. I could watch you forever, whether you're playing soccer or slaying hollows. And forgive me for being cheesy, but the whole world could be turned into jewels, and you'd still be the brightest diamond in my eye."
*sniff**sniff*
"Don't say stuff like that Toushiro! Actually, this is the sort of sappiness I expected to hear before you propose! Not after you propose!"
"Well, then, I guess I have to ask again since you never answered the first time."
"..."
"Karin, will you marry me?"
"Yes. Yes, of course I will."
"Great, now come here and hug me."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
