A few days had passed since Cat Noir and Ladybug's ordeal. Things had turned for the worst at the Agrest's mansion. After all now that everything was in the open, how do you go on living in the same house as your enemy? It was also on this day that Marinette would have to discuss the events of Chat Blanc with master Fu. Her heart was in her throat as she entered his little apartment. She knew master Fu would want Cat Noir's ring back, it was too risky now.

"Ah, Marinette. Welcome, though I see things are not good. Tell me what has you looking so broken?" As Marinette made her way into his apartment, master Fu began pouring the tea he had ready for them.

With head still lowered and tears very much ready to spill, she began her story of Chat Blanc. "I know I should've taken Cat Noir's ring, but I just can't. He's my friend and a wonderful partner, but I also know this is not allowed. Still I don't want to lose him." No longer could she hold back, and like a dam that just broke, and her tears gave way.

Master Fu was quiet for awhile, he knew all to well how very hard this was for Marinette. Even for her age she showed great leadership and also struggled with everyday life. After a few strokes to his small beard, Master Fu smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I know this is hard for you Marinette, but you also know it would be even harder if you lost Cat Noir all together as well as Adrien. I will go to his place later tonight and retrieve his miraculous then."

Trying her best, Marinette wiped her eyes and said. "Who will hold the cat miraculous now?" Master Fu lowered his head. He had no idea who the next holder would be. Though he did have an idea of how he might be able to make things right. "Marinette, I know you and Cat Noir are very close and I may have a way to allow him to keep his miraculous."

Marinette sniffed and turned to Master Fu. "R-Really, but how? His father knows who he is, he can't possibly hold onto his ring now." The more Marinette thought about all of this the more she hated it. 'This is like a nightmare that never ends.' She thought.

Master Fu simply gave her a warm smile. "You should go home now and rest Marinette. I will handle Cat Noir." She was reluctant to leave, she feared what could possibly happen to her kitty. Still she trusted Master Fu and whatever he decides.

After leaving Ladybug that day Adrien didn't return home. He stayed on the rooftops of Paris as Cat Noir most of the time. He confided in his best friend Nino the rest of the time. He refused to see his father, at least till he was sure it was safe. "Ah, so here you are Cat Noir." Hearing someone speaking to him on the roof from out of nowhere, caused him to almost fall off the roof.

"W-Who are you?" Cat Noir asked, a bit shaky in his knees. He had never imagined someone coming up on the roof after him. Except maybe Hawkmoth. After Master Fu walked into the light from a billboard, Cat Noir could see him better. "It's you! The old man I helped up after he fell that one day."

"Hello Cat Noir, I am Master Fu. I have come to.."

"Take away my miraculous, Ladybug told me I wouldn't be able to keep it. Not after my identity was revealed to Hawkmoth." With a heavy sigh, Adrien took his finger in hand to remove his ring. "Claws in." He said sadly, just before pulling off his now silver ring. Tears soon followed. He wasn't just losing his love, but also Plagg. His bestest friend and support he had in all of this hell.

While taking the ring from Adrien, Master Fu told him. "I am sorry it has to come to this Adrien, but it is only for a short time. And if Ladybug needs you I will give it back. Once your father is no longer a risk to you as Cat Noir. Things can go back to normal. I am sorry this happened, Adrien and Ladybug is heartbroken as well."

Adrien really didn't know how things were going to go now. "You do know I am not living with my father or getting close to him. I don't want to be his prisoner anymore."

Master Fu started to become worried. "Adrien, would you please come with me? It's not safe for you to be here alone like this. Hawkmoth could easily akumatize you. Come, you can stay with me for now. I'm sure Ladybug will find you easier at my place."

Hearing Master Fu saying that Ladybug would find him there easier had him motivated. "Thank you Master, I would like that very much." For the first time since the whole mess with Chat Blanc, Adrien smiled. "Milady, I hope to see you soon."

Marinette found it hard to sleep the night after speaking with Master Fu. All she could do was think about Cat Noir. "All this time Adrien was right there with me. Funny how it was so easy to talk to him as Cat Noir and he even loves me. But…I can't tell him who I am, as much as I want to have a relationship with him like that. It just can't be…"

There was another who found sleep impossible on that night as well, but it was not due to heartache. "So my son is Cat Noir, and he has not returned home this time. He is wise to stay away, I now know he is my key to unlocking the door and finding out who Ladybug is. I just need the right villain to make these two lovers unit. I'm sure one of them will be feeling something negative. I just need to wait till that time comes and when it does I'll finally win this game." His evil laugh echoed inside his mansion hideout, as the white butterflies around him started to fly.
