Chapter two Tank and Steph's new Story
A couple of hours later, Stephanie was back at Rangeman, knocking on Tank's door.
Tank let her in. "All set?" he asked.
"Yeah, let's go, Tank," Stephanie replied.
"All right." Tank and Stephanie walked out of Rangeman. She noticed his packed SUV when he added her luggage to the cargo hold.
"Yeah, that is everything we will need," Tank replied when Stephanie questioned the amount. He opened the passenger side door, and she got in the SUV. Tank walked around the back of the car. He got into the driver's side and drove to Trenton Memorial Airport.
They arrived at the airport, parking close to the Rangeman hangar. The co-pilot helped unload the SUV, locking the items into closets to secure them.
Tank and Stephanie got onto the Rangeman jet as another worker parked the SUV beside the hangar.
Stephanie took a seat near the window. Tank said down in front of her. He took out the wedding rings that they were going to wear.
"The wedding ring I got from Dickie the worm was nothing like this," she said as she took the ring and put it on her left hand. Stephanie inspected the engagement ring before adding it to the wedding band.
"How is the ex-husband?" Tank asked.
"Same as always, just as slimy as Vinny," Stephanie replied. "Anyway, that is not why we are here. So do I call you Pierre when we are working?"
"Yeah, I know this is the first time working undercover together, so just follow my lead." Tank told her.
"Okay," Stephanie said as she watched Tank putting on his wedding ring. Her heart raced as she thought about marriage.
About forty-five minutes later, Tank got up. "Okay, let's get changed before we exit the plane," Tank said, leading her to the bathroom at the back. Tank gave Stephanie a garment bag with three-inch black heels.
Ten minutes later, Stephanie came out in a low cut v neck blue dress, with her three-inch heels. Her dress matched the sky on a sunny day. She giggled when Tank passed her a black clutch with blue lace matching her dress.
"Okay, now I know why Ranger is protective of you," Tank said as he took his garment bag into the bathroom to change.
The plane slightly lurched when Stephanie heard it. Tank's head hit the roof of the bathroom
"Ouch, that will leave a mark," Tank said.
"You okay in there?" Stephanie asked, leaning against the bathroom door.
"Yeah, I am too damn tall for my own damn good," Tank said. He came out buttoning his shirt.
Stephanie walked up to him. "Here, let me help you," she said, helping him button his shirt.
The two of them looked at each other for a minute. Tank bent his head and gave her a deep kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck. Before they could go any further A ringing phone broke the spell. "Saved by the bell," Tank said before answering the phone.
"Yeah," he said. "Okay, thanks," Tank said and then hung up. "We better sit down because we are going to land soon."
The two of them sat in the seats that they were in when they first boarded.
