Chapter five

The following morning Tank woke up around eight-thirty am. He shook his head to remove the cobwebs. It was then he got flashbacks from the night before. He looked beside him, remembering that they were supposed to meet Mr. Sanders this morning. Tank turned and saw Stephanie sound asleep. He did not want to wake her, but he knew they had to get ready for this luncheon. Moving closer to Stephanie, Tank whispered in her ear. "Hey, little one," he whispered in her ear before nibbling it a little bit.

"Okay, I am up now," she said as she stared into Tank's warm brown eyes.

"Good, I will let you go and shower first," Tank said.

"Or you could join me," she countered.

"Little one, if I do that, then we will miss our luncheon," Tank reminded her gently, attempting to get his thoughts back on track. He would love nothing more than to push her against the shower wall and bury himself deep inside her warmth.

"Right, I am going." Stephanie rolled out of bed to take a shower.

"Wow," Tank said as he looked at the closed door, shaking the sexual thoughts from his mind. After Stephanie finished washing away the stickiness of sex, she came out wearing nothing but a towel.

"Okay, you are enjoying this," Tank said as he walked into the bathroom for a shower. Stephanie had teased him by slowly removing her towel, baring herself to the big guy.

While Tank was in the shower, he thought, "Ranger can never know what happened between Little one and me. If he discovers what we shared, there will be heads rolling."

"Yeah, and that is the last thing we want," Stephanie said as she got in the shower with Tank, taking her second shower that morning. "I couldn't dress knowing you were in here washing your sexy body."

"Okay, you are nuts," Tank said, wearing a huge grin. He pinned her against the shower wall. Tank kissed her with so much passion that her knees weakened.

The two of them looked at each other, "I am not Ranger's property."

"I know, and you never will be if I can help it," Tank said as he entered her warmth.

Tank and Stephanie came out twenty minutes later. The two of them sat down on the couch. "Tank, if Ranger finds out, there is no telling what he will do," Stephanie told him.

"Yeah, I had the same thoughts, little one," Tank said as he sat down beside her.

Just then, the phone rang, and they both looked at it. Neither Stephanie nor Tank wanted to answer the call. Tank reluctantly got up and answered the phone.

"Mr. Sanders sends his apologies, but he is unavailable to make it today. You and your wife can return to New Jersey." The call ended with a click.

"We get to go home, Little One," Tank said as he looked at her.

"Are you serious?" she asked.

"Yeah, but we got to see a show, have dinner and get closer," Tank said.

Stephanie looked at Tank and let out a deep breath. The two of them packed their bags and checked out. They walked out and saw the limo waiting outside the hotel.

The two of them exchanged a heated look and shrugged before leaving the hotel and getting to the airport. They boarded the Rangeman Jet to go home.

"Tank, about what happened last night and this morning, if Ranger," she began.

Tank finished her statement by saying, "I know, little one, so this has to remain between us." Tank took her hand, and they looked into each other's eyes.

When they landed and walked off the plane, they found a Rangeman SUV waiting for them with Hector.

"This was a quick trip," Hector said.

"Do not ask," Tank grumbled.

Stephanie got in the back seat. "I need to pick up my car at Rangeman, then get home to see Rex," Stephanie said. She looked in the front and saw Tank look at her through the rearview mirror.

All three of them made it back to Rangeman. "It was fun Tank," Stephanie said as she got in her car and left.

Tank watched her drive away from Rangeman

"Hey, Tank, are you okay?" Hal asked.

"Yeah, Hal, I am fine. I am just tired," Tank said as he went inside Rangeman.
