Chapter 16 Undercover
"Tank, where are we going?" Stephanie asked, her curiosity once again getting the better of her.
"To the house where I got raised. You see, little one, my parents died about three years ago, and they left me the house. It is a two-story home with four rooms and three baths. I am renovating the house to make it my own. It has a fully functional bathroom and kitchen. Nobody except Rangeman knows about it," Tank lovingly explained.
"What about Lula?" Stephanie wondered.
"She does not know about this house either."
"Nice," she replied, feeling relieved.
"Yeah, we can make it our own little one. I want your touch in our home," Tank said as he stroked her thigh. Stephanie squirmed from both excitement and arousal.
They arrived at Tank's childhood house. The outside of the property had a fence surrounding it, using the house to enclose the plot.
"Wow," Stephanie said as she looked at the brick house. She noticed a gate on the right side of the home, where they could enter the backyard without entering the building.
"Yeah, I thought you would like it." Tank parked the car in the attached garage and was pleased his wife appreciated his childhood home. It had excellent curb appeal.
Tank used a fob to raise the door to the garage. He pulled his truck into the space to park. After pressing the button to lower the door, Tank used the key to unlock the door in the back of the garage. He opened the door for Stephanie to enter their home first.
Stephanie walked in, and the first thing she saw was a Tortoiseshell kitten. The kitten came up to her. Stephanie picked up the kitten. "What is your name, little girl?"
"Her name is Tiger." Tank walked up to his wife and started to rub the kitten under her chin.
"Meow." Tiger squirmed, attempting to get her paws back on the floor. Stephanie let go of the kitten, smiling when she scuttled towards her food dish.
She walked around the kitchen to examine the stainless steel appliances. "Okay, I should have paid attention when my mom tried to teach me to cook," Stephanie said and then smiled at Tank. She ran her hands over the smooth surfaces to feel the coolness under her fingers. Stephanie was pleased her fingerprints didn't get left behind. It would make it easier to keep them clean.
"That won't be a problem. I know how to cook," Tank said. The five words "I know how to cook" were magic to Stephanie's ears.
Tank picked her up. "Let me show you our bedroom."
Stephanie put her arms around his neck. A thought popped into her head. She had to ask, "Tank, how much longer do you think you will be able to pick me up? You are huge, and that baby will probably take after his father."
"So let me enjoy this while I can still do it," Tank said. He walked up the stairs, still holding her. Stephanie took hold of the doorknob and opened the door.
Tank entered the room, walked to the king-sized bed and laid her gently on it. She looked into his brown eyes as she removed her boots.
He laid down next to her, opening his arms wide. She moved into his arms, sighing when she rested her head on his shoulder. Tank ran one hand over Stephanie's growing baby bump.
