Ingrid couldn't see how the battle was going because of the mountain and the small high stone island covered in snow and ice blocked the view for her. All she could see was fire and smoke and she heard the screams and firing from the dragons. The air smelled like smoke and she could smell the scent of blood too.

"You don't really miss anything fun for not being out there with your friends."

Ingrid gave Grimmel a glare. He stood two meters from her with a red and black dragon behind him. Two of his men stood behind them, but closer to the ship's edge. She herself had that nadder she told Stoick about yesterday and there were three of his men behind them.

Two more of his ships were around the ship they were standing on. Probably making sure their leader wouldn't get killed.

Ingrid had lied to Stoick about the nadder. The first time she and the nadder had met was after the little vacation she and Stoick had. Ingrid had looked for a nadder, as it had the hottest fire and was one of the fastest dragons out there. She found this one and started training it. Gaining the dragon's trust and training it to do what she needed the dragon to do. To do something Ingrid couldn't back away from now.

"Let's skip the small talk and get straight to the subject." Ingrid said and held her glare at him.

"Yes, the treasure you were talking about and promised me if I win this war."

That was another thing she lied about to Stoick and what had happened on their little vacation they had had.

"Positive." She gave him a kiss on the cheek and backed away from him. "Promise me you will come for me if I scream?"

"Promise!"

Ingrid walked into the woods and hoped that Stoick wouldn't come after her. And after walking deeper into the compact forest the island held, she knew he wasn't after her.

The urge to run back to Stoick crashed over her when she saw Grimmel standing in the jungle of trees. He showed no emotions whatsoever and Ingrid's body shivered to be in his presence again. But it was she who sent him a letter and seeked him out. She couldn't go back now.

"I thought I would wait forever," he said.

It wasn't her fault she didn't have Kyria anymore and wasn't able to go anywhere she wanted. "But you didn't, so are we gonna discuss what we're here for so we can continue with our lives?"

Grimmel gave her a nod and placed his hands behind his back. "Yes, of course." His eyes then moved behind her, "How is the chief's son? Stoick is it?"

Ingrid ignored the question. "I will give you the right script of the dragon eye and when the war is over, I'll show you the biggest treasure you will ever lay your eyes on."

He didn't say anything for a few seconds and didn't give Ingrid an idea of what he was thinking from his blank face. "I am not interested in money and I already have someone to translate the dragon eye for me."

"I am not talking about money and are you sure you can trust your translator?" Ingrid felt like she had said something wrong, but she knew she had to do this.

Grimmel made his first face movement by raising his eyebrows, "Oh, my translator has shown her trust in me and if we're not talking about money, then what are we talking about?"

She raised an eyebrow at him. "Do you trust me?" She straightened her back and raised her chin, "Someone who has studied the dragon eye for two years and knows every rune in it or a queen who has never seen a dragon eye before and probably never heard of one, and have no idea how it works. I'm pretty sure she doesn't even have a dragon to light it up with."

Grimmel narrowed his eyes and leaned forward. "How do you know my translator is a queen?" he asked.

Ingrid gave him a slight close-lipped smile. "Because I snuck into her castle and stole a piece of the dragon eye." She opened her bag and held up the dragon eye key. The one Stoick had made two years ago and something she knew Grimmel would recognize. "It lay forgotten on her desk with no signs of a book translation or papers of any evidence that she even wanted to translate it. It's been a week for her. It took me a month to translate it and I've known about the existence of dragon eyes all my life."

Grimmel leaned back up and looked at her with thought. Ingrid waited patiently for him to say something.

"After everything I have done to you, you want to help me?" he asked.

"I want to end this war before it begins." she began and gave him her glare again, "I don't want you to get Toothless or Berk. But the third choice you gave the chief was me and the chief's son. My offer to you is me and the information of the dragon eye if you spare Berks and Toothless lifes and I'm gonna throw in every dragon on Berk as well on the safety list."

Grimmel nodded slowly and stroked his chin in thought. "I'll think about it and if I don't reach out to you before the war really begins, you have my answer." he turned his heels to walk away but Ingrid stopped him.

"Figure out what tresoure I'm talking about. It's something both Berk and you want. The difference is that we value it differently."

He stood still for a while and Ingrid thought he would say something before he disappeared into the forest.

Ingrid waited until she couldn't hear his footsteps any longer and she turned and ran back towards Stoick. But stopped when she realized Stoick was expecting her to get back with firewood, so she quickly took some sticks that laid close to her and thought up a lie to tell him why it took her so long to find the wood.

Ingrid opened her shoulder bag and pulled out the papers that had the dragon eye translation on them. "Here's the translation of the dragon eye texts and I have drawn the map to the treasure on the back."

Grimmel gave her a smug smile, "You Berkians girls are way too easy to handle."

Her eyes narrowed in confusion. Berkians girls? Easy to handle? Why- Vylma. Ingrid's eyes widened. "You knew the whole time that Vylma was Hiccup's daughter, didn't you?"

"Not the whole time, but when I found out that Hiccup had flown to the hidden world while Vylma was on my island. I knew something was up."

"You know about the hidden world?" Ingrid gasped and felt her body freeze.

"Why do you think I came back?" he asked but didn't wait for her to answer. He continued: "I also recognize her face. You see, Barvik wasn't the first village my father asked for help to hunt the night fury. No, Berk was first and on that island was a teenage girl with auburn hair among the crowd and Vylma looks so much like her, I knew they were somehow related."

Ingrid didn't say anything. She stood frozen in place and just stared at him with wide eyes.

"It also helped that the teenage girl and the chief's son stole glances at each other the entire time and also, that boy has the same name as one of chief Hiccup's sons. I counted the years and came to the conclusion that that auburn haired teenage girl is the mother of chief Hiccup. Which is why Vylma looks like her, because Vylma is the daughter of Hiccup."

Ingrid opened her mouth to say something but closed it. This wasn't really going into the plan she had and definitely not for him to talk about Valka of all people. And he had known about the hidden world the whole time. All he needed was someone to help him find it.

Grimmel turned around to the battle's way. The yelling, firing and screams hadn't quieted down and Grimmel didn't seem to care when he continued speaking; "This could all have been prevented if Hiccup had given up his night fury, but sadly he loves the dragon more than his own people. Even his wife and kids."

"He did give Toothless up," Grimmel turned fast around. Interested in that information, "Well almost, but Vylma told him off in time" Vylma felt a little confident to come to her and stand up for her chief. "Hiccup was ready to give Toothless up. For his wife, his kids and his people. For peace. Toothless is the alpha of all dragons, a king if you like and have his own responsibility. To keep dragons safe from people like you, just like chief Hiccup. And just like Vylma. She took a risk from the beginning, ever since you asked for her help she risked her people and her own life. She played you and-"

"I've already heard what she has done to me," he said and put his hand up for her to stop talking, "And I know how much she had risked. I don't need to hear it again."

"Good," she spat. "Then it's my turn to risk my life to stop you." She dropped the papers she held and took out a brown ball the size of her palm.

"But I won't let you." she heard Grimmel say and grabbed a crossbow that was handed to him and pulled the trigger.

She gasped when the arrow hit her chest, right in her heart. Pain washed over her. A burning pain that made her mind scream for survival, but she knew she couldn't come out of this alive.

Her knees hit the wooden planks with a thump and all she heard was her heart going down. Her vision turned black and the last words she would ever hear were; "And how exactly are you going to kill me now?", before everything became silent.

Ingrid fell down to her side and the brown ball she held in her hand, fell out rolling down the deck and the nadder fired. Causing an explosion that would make Ingrid to ashes in seconds.

"I'm getting out of this war alive. I'm not meeting you in Valhalla." -Stoick

"But if we do, I'm saving you a seat beside me." - Ingrid
