In Zahramay Falls, Princess Samira was talking with Leah and her genies who had just arrived after a sudden summon that the princess had sent them.

"You want us to go to another world?" asked Leah.

"Yes, this world is called Ever After and I want you to visit a certain school while there," said Princess Samira.

"And what exactly do you wish for us to do while there?" asked Shimmer.

"Help people to stop relying on a book called The Storybook of Legends, and for this mission I'll give you these," said Princess Samira as a gem appeared before each of the genies.

"These are Master Gems, only full-fledged Genies are to have them," said Shine.

"Are they some kind of magical item?" asked Leah.

"Master Gems give a genie the power to grant as many wishes as they want while holding them," said Shimmer.

"And you'll be needing all of the wishes that you can get on this mission, but they will be taken back once you return, the Master Gems are only on loan for this one time," said Princess Samira.

"And here is one last thing you will need on this mission," she said as the room was filled with a bright light. Meanwhile, over at Ever After High outside of the main entrance.

"That test was pure evil," said Apple.

"Professor Rumpelstiltskin is the worst teacher ever, how can he test us on things that were never taught to us?" asked Raven. Suddenly, her attention along with that of everyone else had been grabbed by a light that appeared next to the fountain.

"What is this?!" asked Cerise while shielding her eyes from the light. The light then faded while Leah and the two genies appeared from it.

"Whoa, this is Ever After High?" asked Leah.

"Hexcuse me, but who are you three?" asked Briar as she and the others approached.

"I'm Leah, and these are my friends, Shimmer and Shine," said Leah.

"And we're genies in training," said Shimmer and Shine while floating over Leah's head with their backs to each other.

"But what story do the three of you come from?" asked Apple.

"They're not from any story," said Headmaster Grimm as he walked toward them.
