Finn dropped the sword and fell down to the snowy ground. He had seen his brother coming running towards him and that's what made him lose his focus for a second. A second that was important for him to not lose this fight with a man who Finn thought was dead but apparently wasn't.

The man had suddenly jumped up on his feet right when Finn passed him by. Finn had turned and stepped aside right when the man's sword came at him. Finn grabbed the only weapon he had left on him, a sword and they started to fight. He could see that the man was tired, but so was Finn. Luckily both of them were tired after all the fighting and arrow shooting from the battle.

Then he had seen Stoick coming at them and Finn lost his focus and fell and now: he saw his brother and the man facing each other with their swords in each other's chests. Stoick's sword killed the man and the man's sword killed Stoick.

Finn felt his heart stop and his breathing got caught in his throat. His body became numb, his eyes couldn't believe what they saw as his brain tried to take the scene in.

"Stoick." he breathed out and saw Stoick's legs give in to keep him up.

"Stoick!" Finn screamed and came up on shaking legs. He pushed the man away from Stoick, who still held the sword that was in Stoick's chest and pulled it out from Stoick, letting it fall down on the ground. The man fell backwards and Finn grabbed Stoick in his arms and fell down with him.

Finn laid his hand on the wound, like he would stop the bleeding. "Stoick! Come on!" Blue eyes stared up to him and Finn held a hope that he would come out of this alive.

"Stoick." Finn shaked his brother. His right hand on the bloody wound and his left holding his brother's head. "Don't-" a small smile could be seen on Stoick's face and Finn felt himself smile back at him.

"Come on, brother." Finn whispered and felt his cheeks become wet from tears streaming down them. "Come on stay awake..."

His voice got stuck in his throat when Stoick's eyes closed and blood started running out from his mouth and his face became empty.

"Stoick?"

Finn hadn't heard his sister coming and when he heard her voice, his head snapped up to her and saw her looking numb as he felt.

"No no no no…" Vylma fell down on her knees and took Stoick's cold hand in hers. Vylma started to shake and started crying. She hit Stoick's chest. "You… idiot! I told you… not to…"

The hand that laid on Stoick's wound curled into a fist, making blood and tissue coming under his nails. Finn didn't care at that moment, his brother had just been killed in front of his eyes. Sobs escaped him and his body started to tremble. He felt sick to his stomach and wanted to throw up.

Vylma let Stoick's hand go and threw her arms over his shoulders, making Finn's arms being trapped between Vylma's arm. He took the bloody hand away from underneath Vylma's arm and laid it over her shoulders as he leaned forward and laid his arm over her back and laid his head on her back. Not the most comfortable position, but right now he didn't care.

A really bad headache was the first thing Magnhild felt when she slowly open her eyes to a ceiling made of soil. A pain in her cheek made her remember what had happened out on the battlefield with her mother. They fightin side by side until her arms became tired and then she had been hit in the face by one of Grimmels men. Then her mother had dragged her down to the ground because two arrows apparently had been shot in their direction and her mom saved her by taking the arrow herself and protected her head from the ice, making her mother break her hand and now Magnhild had no idea where she was.

Probably inside the mountain, but who had brought her here and was her mother alive? Had Magnhild really become so in panic that she had fainted? It seemed like it.

She needed to find her mother to see how she was. She had been alive when Magnhild told Stormfly to take her into the mountain so she could get the help she needed. Another thing Magnhild needed to know was: is the war over? Had they won or lost? Were they still fighting outside?

Magnhild tried to listen for anything that could tell her if the war was still on or not. The only thing she could hear was not only the pounding in her head but also people snoring. Were people asleep around her?

She turned her head to her right and saw a man sleeping next to her and when she turned left, she saw a woman sleeping next to her. Magnhild knew they were not Berkians, she had never seen them before. But the eagle on their shoulder pads told her that these were Barvikans, she didn't need to be alarmed.

Okay, so maybe they had won? But why was she with the Barvikans and not where Berk held their people on this island? Magnhild decided it didn't really matter

Magnhild sat slowly up and felt the room spinning. She tried to ignore the feeling of the room spinning when she slowly stood up on her legs. The blanket that someone had put on top of her fell down to the ground.

Magnhild hugged herself when she took a step forward and then another, then another. She didn't know where she was going and no one was awake for her to ask which way Berk held it's camp in the mountain, so she kept going to the left and knew that she would eventually find where Berk held. Hopefully she would meet someone who could tell her how the war ended or if it had ended. Maybe she would meet her dad or one of her siblings or friends, to see how they were and hopefully they knew how her mother was.

The corridor didn't seem to end and Magnhild saw a Barvik healer coming jogging at her and Magnhild was about to ask her something when she ran past her. Magnhild watched her continue to jog down the hall and she heard a scream coming that way. The healer was probably in a hurry to get to a really injured person, so Magnhild continued walking until the room stopped spinning and she could see sunlight in front of her.

An exit was in front of her. This had to be the east side because of the Barvik people she had been placed between and the Barvik healer that had been in these corridors. If she was on Berk's side, someone would have probably noticed her and stopped her.

Magnhild decided to continue walking straight out to the exit and hopefully she could hear if the war had ended or not.

Her eyes were fixed on the muddy ground until the last ray of sun hit her face before it set behind the sea. She looked up and saw something she didn't think she would see.

There, meters from her in the snow, sat her sister and brother with their bodies over… someone. Magnhild squinted her eyes at the person laid underneath them and took a step back when she saw who it was.

Stoick laid underneath their two siblings. He didn't move. He wasn't in any danger that would lead to Finn and Vylma to protect him from something. Finn and Vylma were also shaking and crying. Vylma held Stoick by his shoulders and Finn hugged Vylma while also holding Stoick. The dead body of Stoick.

Magnhild's eyes became wide and her breathing became heavy. Her arms wrapped themself tighter around her, her nails digging in her ribs.

In the corner of her eye to her right, came Frida walking with Signe behind her. They were as far away as Finn, Vylma and Stoick were from Magnhild but at the snowy mountain wall to the right and Frida was holding someone in her arms.

Magnhild slapped her hand over her mouth and took a shaky breath when she saw who Frida held.

Ingrid was held in Frida arms. Unconscious and pale.

When Frida started to drag her feet towards Finn, Vylma and Stoick, Magnhild followed suit and Magnhild looked between her siblings and Frida.

Frida looked destroyed. Her face was red and wet from crying. As was her eyes; red and puffy. Her face was stone and her body was shaking, Magnhild didn't know if it was from all the crying and seeing her cousin being dead or if it was from carrying her cousin.

When they both reached the Haddock siblings, Vylma and Finn lifted their heads. Vylma saw Frida laying Ingrid down beside Stoick, so their heads were next to each other but not their bodies. Finn looks up and sees Magnhild fall down on her knees beside Ingrid.

Frida stood back up and leaned back to Signe, who took all her weight on him, but Frida slided down on the ground and stared at her cousin's dead face.

Signe roared into the sky and Frida started to cry again.
