Ep3 S1

Humphrey had walked back to Kate's house to see if she was there. As he got closer to her house he heard the sound of some wolves fighting. He walked to the gate of the house from there he could see Kate and some Alpha school instructor sparring in the front of the house. Kate wasn't letting up on her attacks and dodging her opponents attacks as well. She was moving fast which was tripping up the instructor.

Kate was silent and a bit antisocial but only due to her not being able to express her emotions correctly. So Kate tends to stay silent. But don't mistake it for her being cold, Kate's nice and caring to those around her. She loves her family and would do anything to protect them, especially Lily, her youngest sister. Kate and Lily have inseparable bond. Kate was the next pack leader in line. So she immediately was ranked full fledged Alpha instead of Junior alpha at birth.

Humphrey continued to watch Kate spar.

Humphrey was in love with her and almost everyone knew it. Humphrey didn't trying hide his love for Kate, but due to Kate's antisocial tendencies Humphrey's attempts to show her he loved her went right over her head. But no one knew if Kate felt the same way about Humphrey except for her family and Hutch and Candu. They all knew Kate felt the same way about Humphrey. She loved him as well.

Kate was continuing her assault but the instructor saw an opening in Kate's attack evading it and knocking Kate down to the ground. Kate was pissed she hated losing, she immediately jump and high kicked the instructor into a small shed. Everyone knew Kate had abnormal amounts of strength, but she was told to pull her punches in fear she might accidentally kill somebody.

"O-o-okay……let's call it a day……and stop for now." The instructor said before passing out.

Kate collected herself with a small breathing meditation exercise. Humphrey took the opportunity to surprise Kate. He walked slowly towards her reaching his paw out to touch her shoulder, until Kate spun around grabbed his arm and flipped him on his back.

"Ahhhhh holy shit……oooff……man that hurt." Humphrey cried out. "Humphrey I…..I'm sorry I didn't….." Kate spoke in shock. "Don't be it's my fault, you're still in 'battle mode' that's all. Could you disengage and return to normal mode?" Humphrey said referring to Kate as a robot.

Kate laughed at Humphrey's joke about her. "I'm not a robot, I'm a wolf" she said holding her paw out for Humphrey. "I know, just want to see that beautiful smile again before you head off to alpha school." Humphrey said dusting himself off. "I'm not heading there for another three days, so I have time to spend training and honing in my skills and-" Kate was about continue but Humphrey interrupted. "Or you could hangout with me and your sister instead." Humphrey said with sly smile.

Kate knew Humphrey was big joker and she loved that about him. He always knew how to calm her down and put her mind at ease. Humphrey to her was break from what she was responsible for. The world just disappeared when she was with him.

Kate decided to take Humphrey up on his offer some time with him and her sister.

"Sure, I'm free now, let's go find Lily." Kate said grabbing his paw and rushing into the pack find her sister. "Whoa whoa okay just let me get my balance alright!" Humphrey said trying to get his bearings.

Kate and Humphrey rushed to the Medical Center where Lily worked. Both of them trying to see if Lily got out. When they arrived both of them walked up to see whole room filled with alphas and over at the nurses station Winston, Eve, Hutch, and Candu standing in the main area discussing something until Winston cut the little meeting short when he spotted Kate and Humphrey.

"Ahh good you're just wolf we were looking for, Humphrey." Winston said walking closer to Humphrey and Kate. "Oh really, what for?" Humphrey asked. "We'll that wolf you found in the alleyway is running somewhere in the pack looking for you Humphrey. We don't know the reasoning behind it but it's just correct to assume he'll try and kill or kidnap you. So I'm going to have some Alphas watch and protect you-" Winston was going to finish but interrupted. "That's not necessary I can handle my own." Humphrey said with confidence. "But Humphrey your life is in danger." Kate said moving closer to Humphrey holding on to his arm. "Look Humphrey I don't care if you can handle yourself, this protection will help you and the pack. If the wolf contacts you we can catch and turn him in. So I don't want to hear anything objections." Winston said signaling for two alphas to come over. "This two we'll be watching over you to protect you. Leave everything to them." Winston said.

Great with these eyes on me I won't be able to move as much. I'll have to shake them off my trail. I know an omega getting an alpha the run around. I am glad to hear that white wolf is coming to look for me. Now I can see what the wolf wants with me. Humphrey thought.

Kate was next to Humphrey but she could immediately tell what Humphrey thinking. She knew Humphrey wasn't going to let the alphas watch him like a hawk. Kate kinda snickered to herself about it. Humphrey always did things his way instead of what someone else recommended.

What are you going to do Humphrey Yumiza. Kate thought looking up at Humphrey.

"Hey Kate! Humphrey!" Lily hello running up to us. "Ahhh going just the girl we're looking for, Lily me and Kate are gonna go play some games want in?" Humphrey asked. "Sure, I just got off my shift, I'm ready to play." Lily exclaimed. "Alright, come closer, ya." Humphrey said motioning Lily to get closer. "I want you and Kate to go outside and wait by bathroom window." Humphrey whispered. "What why the bathroom window that's a little sus don't you think." Lily whispered back. "I'll be jumping out the window,"Humphrey whispered again. "Okay I'll see you two outside, I have to use the bathroom." Humphrey said walking away from Kate and Lily moving towards the bathroom door.

The two alphas made note of this and walked to bathroom door guarding it. Kate and Lily watch Humphrey disappear into the room and left soon after. Humphrey closing the door quickly made a magic clone of himself and order it to walk around the pack with the two alphas escorts. Outside the Kate made clones of her and Lily and sent them off the find the clone of Humphrey. Kate knew Humphrey's plan from the moment he started whispering to Lily.

Kate and Humphrey instinctively knows what each other is thinking 99% of the time.

Humphrey just like he told Lily he was jumping out of the bathroom window. Once on the ground Humphrey looked at Kate and Lily with smile he started walking to them.

"Alright you two ready?" Humphrey asked walking up to the girls. "Hell yeah we are." Lily said. "If your mom heard that she'd killed you." Humphrey said wide eyed. "Mom is who she learned that from. First, Humphrey you're a magic user aren't you?" Kate asked with a serious look.

Humphrey just realized he used his magic. Humphrey stood there think about how he messed up. Humphrey didn't want Kate nor Lily tell their parents.

"Look I know I used magic which makes me a magic user. Please Kate don't tell your parents that I'm a magic user." Humphrey pleaded. "I knew it you're a magic user, that's probably why that Mono guy is after you." Lily said. "I won't tell our parents nor will Lily. I'm just glad that it's not just me and my dad." Kate said with a little smile. "So can we go now?" Lily asked.

"Yes let's go. Race you two the woods." Humphrey said running ahead with Lily and Kate running after him

Humphrey, Kate, and Lily made their way to the woods with Kate beating both Humphrey and Lily. Humphrey noticed Kate was in a defensive stance. Humphrey looked ahead to see the wolf he took to medical center earlier today.

"So you finally found me. What now you take me away to your pack?" Humphrey asked. "No, I'm here to inform you and wait for my friends to catch up." The wolf spoke. "Inform me? What's that supposed to mean? Tell me what you're name is." Humphrey said stepping closer to Kate's side.

"I am Mono, I'm here to inform you Yumiza." Mono said looking only at Humphrey.

Humphrey was more curious about Mono now he need to get Mono to talk. Before Humphrey could ask another question Kate charged forward dashing quickly towards Mono. Mono reflectivity deflected Kate's downward kick then countered by grabbing Kate's hind leg and slamming her into a tree to Mono's right.

"Hey! Kate are you alright. Mono what the fuck was that for!?" Humphrey exclaimed. "Kate! Get up!" Lily yelled. "I don't want anyone to interfere with Yumiza and I." Mono said looking at Kate's direction.

Kate got up slow dusting herself off, before she turned to face Mono, she stretched her arms then spoke.

"Okay, I see that I shouldn't go easy on you." Kate said.
