I'm finally back with another InuKag one-shot. I've recently finished my massively long story "Kagome's Diary" detailing almost two years of their life. Despite how long that ended up being, I'm still not done posting InuKag fluff.
This is just a really short one-shot that I wrote a while ago just for fun. It's not long but it's cute so I hope you like it. Enjoy the story and I hope you'll leave a review!
In The Afternoon Sun
Inuyasha lay in the grass by the river one summer afternoon. The sun was shining, the white clouds rolled across the sky, and the weather was perfect. Eyes closed, he listened to the faint sounds of the rushing water, the birds chirping, and the people in the village nearby going about their day. It was a perfect moment to relax and unwind; he could have stayed out there enjoying it all day.
Then he heard footsteps making their way toward him. His nose was graced by the most delicious scent in the world. His right ear twitched a bit as she sat down next to him. He knew exactly who it was without opening his eyes and a smile touched his face.
"Whatcha doing?" Kagome asked.
He finally opened his eyes to find his beautiful wife sitting next to him. As always, she looked so effortlessly gorgeous in her miko robes with her black hair falling in waves down her back and over her shoulders. Her expression was warm, her eyes sparkled, and there was a tender smile on her face.
"Relaxing," he replied. "Also enjoying the view."
She giggled a bit. "What do you think of it?"
"It's the most beautiful thing I've ever laid eyes on." With that, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her down to lay next to him. From there he wrapped his arms around her and she cuddled close to him while the two lay there for a moment reveling in each other's presence.
He kissed the top of her head. When she looked up at him he once again caught his breath at how lovely she was and wondered, as he always did, how he got so lucky to have this incredible woman in his life. Her hand laced with his and she gave him a gentle kiss.
"I love you."
Those three words never failed to make him feel light as a feather as if he were floating through the clouds in pure bliss.
"I love you too," he said before kissing her again.
Her lips were so delicious and perfect that he couldn't help but kiss her again and again, building up with passion each time their lips touched.
Overcome by his want for her, he rolled over onto his side to face her and held her close against him as they became lost in each other. She gripped the front of his kimono, drawing him closer to her. When she opened her mouth, his tongue entered and began a passionate dance with hers. He moaned as he drank in her wonderful taste. His hand drifted from her back to her hip feeling her lovely curves along the way.
She was perfect. She was everything that he wanted and needed and he most definitely was starting to need her. But before he could begin to act in that need though, his ears twitched again as he heard voices approaching them.
"Inuyasha! Kagome! What are you two doing?" Shippo called.
"It's so nice out today!" Miroku commented. "It's a perfect day to be outside."
"Damn," Inuyasha mumbled as the two lovers reluctantly pulled away.
They sat up and Kagome sighed in defeat as they watched their friends make their way towards them. However, she leaned close to her husband and whispered "Later."
There was a sensual smile on her face and it made his heart flutter. He gave her a gentle kiss in return. Later wasn't going to come fast enough.
Miroku and Sango's twins jumped into their laps.
"Doggie uncle!" one of them said happily.
"We missed you, Auntie Kagome," said the other.
Kagome gave her a hug. "I missed you too."
Sango sat down next to them followed by Miroku. "You two have got the right idea. It's gorgeous out here today," she said.
"Let me tell you guys about my last fox demon training," Shippo said excitedly.
Inuyasha put his arm around Kagome's waist. When she looked up at him, she gave him another kiss. Then she leaned into him and they listened to Shippo's story.
