Chapter 12

He knew that smell, it was him and her smell was also there. "Naraku!" He growled out. The smoke was so thick he couldn't see a thing. Even his nose burned, like he was breathing in hot burning ashes. Something fell into his arms and from the weight and feel of it, it had to be a person. He couldn't smell anything, but knew the person needed help. He took a hard jump hoping to land away from the hellish smoke. The first jump was unsuccessful only taking him partly out of the dark purple fog, but he was able to see the outline of the building in front of him.

This time Koga was able to get a good jump and landed on the roof of the three story building. Looking down he saw just who was in his arms. "K-Kagome?" He lightly spoke, how was it possible that he was this lucky? Kneeling down he rested her back against his inner leg allowing her to sit up. Carefully he moved her bangs out of her face to get a good look at her. "She doesn't seem severely injured on the outside, but I'm sure her lungs are coated with that purple smoke shit."

Her breathing was slower than he liked, which left him the only choice he knew. "Stay with me Kagome, I'm taking you to the hospital." He softly spoke. Koga had to be careful though not to be seen as he leaped from rooftop to rooftop. There was one however who noticed him and the woman in his hands.

Slowly the purple smog had lifted and InuYasha could see again, but his nose was still off. He only caught a glimpse of someone turning the corner. He noticed they seemed to be following something and took this as something he best look into. InuYasha kept his distance just in case it happened to be a youkai with a heightened sense of smell.

As InuYasha carefully looked around the corner he noticed the person seemed to be looking up towards the rooftops. It was then he saw them. 'Fucking wolf boy again and he has Kagome! Damn that wolf what did he do to her?' There was a rush of anger that flowed through him and in a matter of seconds InuYasha was on the rooftop too.

There were only three more rooftops to go when Koga came face to face with him. "Naraku, you disgusting excuse for a demon! If you know what's good for you, you'd leave now and never return." Koga was mad, Kagome needed help and now Naraku was in his way. He couldn't fight Naraku and keep Kagome safe at the same time. He growled as Naraku turned back into his usual form and slowly approached him. "If you know what's good for you, you'll leave the girl alone!"

Naraku found Koga's words meaningless, to Naraku if Koga knew what was good for him. Koga would hand over the girl to him first. "Well Koga, I could say the same thing to you. However I'm not as desperate as you are to keep the girl unharmed. Her life is nothing to me, only the jewel she carries is what I want." Naraku grinned as he spoke of the jewel. He had figured out a plan to finally get the jewel. "I suggest you give the girl to me wolf, or I'll simply take her."

Koga held Kagome close, Naraku would have pry her from his cold dead hands. "You go to hell Naraku, I'll never let you hurt her!" By this time InuYasha had made his appearance and he had heard enough to know that Koga wasn't his biggest problem at the moment. He made a mighty jump from the rooftop next to where Koga and Naraku were and landed between them. "InuYasha?" Kago said, completely surprised to see him standing between him and Naraku.

"Get her out of here wolf, I'll hold this jerk off." Koga didn't ask questions and simply did as InuYasha had said. InuYasha hated that the wolf had Kagome, and it bothered him that the wolf had changed his thinking. 'Why does he want to protect her now? Just a few days ago he was ready to slice her open to get the jewel. Whatever the reason, I'm sure I won't like the outcome.' For now his mind needed to focus on Naraku. "So I see you found the girl again, Naraku. Trying those old shape shifting ideas again are we?"

Naraku laughed, he had a few new tricks now too. "InuYasha, tell me how have you been? I can only imagine how happy you are to see me again. Tell me have you figured out how to get the jewel from inside the girl's body?" InuYasha growled. He hated this ugly bastard in front of him and he hated that Kagome was his victim. "Now InuYasha, is that growl a no or a yes? It matters not to me though. I know how to get what I want from her now."

The wind on the rooftop gave a hard blow stirring InuYasha's silver hair as well as Naraku's long black hair. When the air stopped, the silver locks of hair that covered InuYasha's face revealed his youkai side had surfaced. "So what's your plan this time asshole? After all this time I'm sure you know raping these women for the jewel doesn't work. Making the woman impure, doesn't only taint the jewel. It destroys the woman who is tainted by its darkness. So what's your next trick, slice and dice the women and burn the ashes?"

Naraku laughed. "As if I'd tell you InuYasha, you'll just have to hope I don't get my hands on the girl before you." The youkai side of him cared little about anything except the jewel. The girl was nothing to him. And the fact that the monster he was after was right in front of him made him even madder. With great speed InuYasha charged forward, his claws were long and very sharp. Naraku chuckled as he easily dodged the attack and once again he released his toxic gas. "I don't have time to play these games hanyou, not when I'm this close to my destiny. Enjoy my miasma, it will kill you slowly the longer you breath it. Much like the girl right now, I doubt she'll be walking any time soon."

Only the red glow of his eyes could faintly be seen in the dark purplish smoke. His clothes were melting from his body and with little time to think he did what came natural, he jumped as high and ran as fast as he could to get out of the deadly purplish smoke. He landed on a high rooftop and tried to take in the fresh air. His lungs burned and since his youkai blood was running very high in his veins, his body was healing fast. 'Damn him, I will have my prize and the woman will be mine to take as I please before it's over.' InuYasha thought, as he started running to catch up with Koga.

InuYasha's youkai side had just made it clean to Naraku that raping the woman for the jewel was fruitless. Yet his means of taking the jewel from her was in the same manner. Only InuYasha's youkai was thinking maybe if she enjoyed him it would allow him a way to please her and cut the jewel from her as he made her feel pure and whole with cock deep inside her. "I will make sure to not make her feel impure, only pure pleasure and sweet sex." However could his youkai side do this? He was more animal than human at this time. Or could his youkai get his hanyou side to do it?
