"Gonna try again?"
Panting and panting, nothing they could really ever do but pant and grit their teeth in anger.
But who could really blame them? He mused.
"Isn't this enough? You have done this many times I can count."
"And believe me, the count has simply been long enough."
A sigh was simply heard, exasperated as ever. Filtered breath broke through his helmet, his patience growing thinner and thinner.
Although the gritting of their teeth sparked an odd satisfaction unto him. It only broke when they pointed their weapon at him, gleaming with green luminosity as a flaming arrow was primed unto him.
"You really are persistent, huh?" He scoffed, stepping his foot forward, twisting and turning his heel as he stomped on stable ground.
The stable ground is the ever-familiar green grass with leaves and flowers littered around. The wind whistled through the air as the plants followed suit through its calm yet rugged flow. Although even if it is stable, it felt hollow and grainy.
But it was soothing, to say the least. A nice windy day to sit upon and enjoy.
Not for the annoying pants though. A sigh almost broke out of his cruddy-cyan helmet. Another hour of this nonsense and he would simply go insane!
He glared through his visor towards the one to blame for the cause of his annoyances.
"Aren't you tired of this, filthy Terrarian?"
A human, person, individual. Small, frail, weak-
Expendable.
and yet...
They were here, standing against him. Tall as one can be with eyes that suddenly sparked a familiar feeling in him.
The feeling he once had when he was-
He shook his head. He didn't need to dwell on that.
Not again.
He glanced at the folk, silently studying them. They held no expression, eyes devoid of emotion as always. Blank as always. Desperation for peace grew more and more in him. Never had he fought someone who had been as stubborn as this.
To think that this squirt had defeated an infesting-gigantic plant with properties none can explain. He's stupid for thinking he can take him on with that sorry stride.
Although, it piqued his curiosity even further when he caught attention to the glistening metal, flickering unto his cyan-colored mask.
Alloy burned bright of white and yellow, mesmerizing and so addictive. A holy essence he could feel just from the aura of the metal. It gripped their whole stature as if it had fit them perfectly, despite their size.
Hikarite. An odd mineral indeed.
Although, they do hold an interesting object. Maybe once he had beaten them again, he'll take the weapon! Maybe even, take their corpse and observe the metallic alloy further!
He scoffed. As if he can catch the Terrarian's corpse if they hadn't exploded into pieces, even bringing the armor with them!
What a waste of materials.
...
But that wasn't the only one that had piqued his interest.
He watched them grip another interesting object. One he could watch in awe as the vibrant green glows from the emanate gaze of the sun. It seemed to be alive and moving but at the same time, strong and as hard as steel.
It wasn't what he had any knowledge of but he heard rumors, sayings, and even real stories. About the leafy-green mineral that grows like chlorophyll, a plant compound.
'Chlorophyte.'
What an interesting name if he did say so himself!
He had heard numerous claims of this said mineral. Some about its high adaptability of mixing with other elements, few about the side-effects of its algae-based compound; How it could potentially engulf an individual whole of plant fiber if not properly dealt with.
From all of the 2853 planets he had visited, this was certainly interesting. More so of its large harvest of Titanium, maybe he could stop by in this world for a while.
He could. But, he won't
...
A familiar rustle snapped him out of his thoughts, glancing at the human again. He glared once again, crossing his arm, feeling himself being weightless in the minute.
"Fine, come at me again."
Crackles began to resonate from him as more and more energy was excreted. A blue barrier surrounded him whole, enveloping his tall figure like a glove. His gears and machinery began whirring rapidly, each of his systemical units set on overdrive.
"Don't expect me to go easy on your pathetic state."
The human glanced up, seeing as they held their crossbow tightly now. Handshaking, feet twisting, an expression he would think, a widened grin.
If he could still have his face, he could've made a very wide smirk. Not for humoring the human for his challenge again.
But for how badly he was going to beat this squirt black and blue.
"Come, it's time I put an end to your already-minimizing life span!"
...
King Slayer the III has awoken!
...
Note: Hey again! I'm sorry for the long-absent year of not writing on this site but I hope you had enjoyed reading this. It was very fun and pretty cool writing this about this time I got really hyped up when I fought King Slayer in my Mod of Redemption Run, so I had to write this but through his perspective.
Anyways, I do plan to make and post more on this website but it could be a little longer than that, we'll see!
And with that, Ezko, out!
