While inexperienced users affect every individual unconsciously, those with more experience can choose from a large group, who wants to affect and who does not. However, those with strong wills can resist and even ignore the effects of Haoshoku Haki. The ability to knock others out depends on the strength of the person using the Haki and the person or people the user is trying to knock out. The greater the power difference, the easier it is to knock out the target.
Devil Rose, Jaune and Sonic listened, completely amazed that they had such power within them.
DN Luffy: This type of Haki cannot be achieved through training, but it can be improved by strengthening the user's will.

Devil Rose: Nice place.
Nora: It reminds me of Mistral.
Ren: I agree.
Nami: The truth is that this place seems to be very quiet.
Sanji: I look forward to knowing the local dishes.

DN Luffy: Guaaaaaaaah!
Devil Rose: Jaaaa!
Weiss and Nami: Stop fooling all three of you!
Zoro: Ruby is getting along too well with them.
Yang: Don't tell me.
Sonic, DN Luffy and Devil Rose make a combo destroying the monsters. Weiss uses ice powder to freeze them and Franky tops them off with his shoulder rocket launcher. Zoro cuts the Evil Flowers and Jimbei attacks them from the water.
Nora: Cool, water attacks!
Usopp is in the distance, covering them.
Ren: It is incredible.
Chopper: Yes, they are great.
Chopper smiles at Ren, who returns the smile; cutting off a Little Rex that was going to attack Chopper.
Chopper: Thanks, Ren!
Ren: Be careful, on the battlefield, one must always be focused.
Chopper nods as the rest make their way. Then they come to a path where at the end there is a pole.
Ren: How will we get to the other side?
Sonic: Like this.
Sonic grabs the pole and jumps to the other side followed by his brother and sister.
DN Luffy: Come on, guys, it's not difficult!
All: For you, no, of course!
Weiss has an idea and asks Jimbei to throw water on him. She uses ice powder and creates an ice bridge.
Sonic: Good idea, Ice Queen.
Smoke comes out of her ears when Zoro stops her.
Zoro: Now is not the time.
Zoro starts walking... in the opposite direction and falls into the water. Weiss and Nora burst out laughing.
Zoro: Shut up!
Suddenly, wasp-like monsters appear. Zoro manages to get out, with the help of Jimbei and aims them, wanting blood. Zoro: Hyakuhachi Pound Ho!
Zoro maintains a horizontal sword, like that of the mouth, behind the shoulder and the other also behind him but diagonally. Zoro then propels himself forward, propelling the swords as well, and launches three slashing air and energy projectiles at the enemy, which forcefully transform into large cuts of compressed air and energy.
Yang: It's good. I have to train with him!
Nami: I will charge you a fee to train with him.

Sonic jumps in the air and makes two blows forward with two his fists.
Sonic: And now...
After that, Sonic throws an uppercut as he spins around, before launching a blitz of quick blows into the air. He then ends up clasping his hands together in a collective fist behind his head before knocking him down on his opponent with a cartwheel, while stretching out his arms and striking his great enemy on the ground.
DN Luffy: Great! You have to teach me that!
Sonic: I'll see what I can do.
Yang: I like that technique; I think I'll call it Crescent Moon Strike.
Sonic and Nora: Cool!
After fighting a Big Mother and climbing a bit, they find the old man and a bright green orb. The team jumps when they see something unusual: a very large creature, about ten to twelve meters tall. While it mostly resembles a phoenix, it also possesses some peacock-like features, such as a long slender neck and long spotted feathers on it such as tail feathers and on the abdomen and head. Its color is dark purple and is constantly surrounded by flames.
Yang: What the hell is that?!
Nami: Hiiiiii! Gives me the guardian of the temple!
Zoro: What?! But wasn't the old man?!
Sonic: We'll deal with that later! We have to beat him up now!
Boss Battle (Night) - Sonic Unleashed [OST]
Corrupt Guardian Bird. Dark Gaia Phoenix.
The Phoenix begins by shooting feathers at Sonic and company. Sonic protects himself by forming a shield, while Devil Rose spins his scythe at high speed.
DN Luffy: Gomu-Gomu no ... Nightmare Gatling!
DN Luffy punches the feathers with his fists, knocking them back. The Fenix, furious, begins to fly around the battlefield.
Nami: What do you intend? Chopper, can't you communicate with him?
Chopper: I've tried, but I only hear screaming. I can't make him calm down.
Nora: Then hit him nonstop!
Ren: Nora, it's engulfed in flames. Don't do anything crazy!
The bird of fire appears, crossing the sky, while everyone dodges. DN Luffy comes up with an idea.
DN Luffy: Jimbei, take water from the pond and wait for my signal!
Jimbei: Leave it to me, Luffy-kun!
Nami: Luffy, what are you doing? If Jimbei stays there, the bird will singe him!
Devil Rose: Trust my brother; he knows what he is doing.
Zoro: The girl is right. The captain always knows what to do when it comes to fighting.
Ren then recalls his brief training with the Warlords.
Mihawk (Flashback): "The Kenbunshoku Haki gives you a broader view of the world around you. With hard training, you will be able to see the immediate future. However, in you, Lie Ren, yours is incredibly developed. Perhaps you are capable to understand things that not even the most expert in this Haki see."
Ren: Luffy, Jimbei, the Phoenix will land with a fire earthquake! Get ready!
The Dark Gaia Phoenix does just what Ren has said and the blast wave fails when trying to hit Jimbei.
DN Luffy: Jimbei, now!
Jimbei: Got it! Karyuu Ipponzeoi!
Jimbei takes some of the water from the pond and throws it at the fenix, which dies down. After being hit by Jimbei's attack, the Dark Gaia Phoenix flies to one of the platforms to rest. Then Sonic, Yang, Nora and DN Luffy start hitting him.
Sonic hits him before jumping and howling. The Phoenix returns, with more force, flying again and shooting a barrage of feathers at the three brothers. Zoro protects them, using the Kokujo: O Tatsumaki.
Weiss: This time I'll take care of it.
Nami: Weiss, wait!
It flies a bit before loading on Sonic, then it flies and returns with a fire earthquake. Weiss uses the ice powder to freeze his legs and extinguish part of his flames.
Weiss: Ruby!
Devil Rose: Always ready.
Devil Rose uses her Semblance, creating a tornado of sharp petals. Afterwards Sonic hits the guard by stunning him and DN Luffy grabs the phoenix and throws him into the pond in the middle of the stage, defeating him.
Sonic: Strike three monsters, that's enough of you!
Then Chopper catches the old man.
Chopper: Sir, are you alright?
Zonshen: Y-yes, thank you. Chip then grabs the orb and lifts it up, reacting with his necklace, opening the temple doors.
Nami: Thank goodness! Let's put the Emerald on and let's get out of here!
Weiss: Wait, crazy!
Zoro: This has been very easy...
Ren: If you say so...
While the second guard of the Grand Line watched them, very satisfied.
?: Whoa, whoa, Ace's brother. How you've grown. Let's see if your crew and your new friends, your new brothers and you are capable of defeating me.
