A/N Alright, buckle up, 'cause we're diving right in here. This is definitely worth a M-rating. So if that's not your thing, you should back away slowly. I've never written this kind of content before and it was way beyond my comfortable T-rated bubble. Thank you to my twitter friend for hyping me up and helping me find inspiration to finish this chapter. As always, please leave a review if you liked it. I can't promise a quick update, but I'll finish this story some day.

Rick gently sat down on the bed. Her mouth was still attached to his as she held him tightly. He moved his hands to her thighs and pulled her closer to him. She groaned at the contact, there was no denying that he wanted her. She felt the same.
The butterflies in her stomach were really messing with her mind. She felt him moving his hands to her ass and ground herself into him as reaction, swallowing his moan as his grip tightened. Her mouth moved down his neck, gently licking his pulse point in the process. Rick closed his eyes, trying to savior the moment because he was pretty sure he was going to die at any time now. He let his fingers flow through his hair as he pulled her up to kiss her eagerly again, his tongue immediately slipping past her lips. She obliged and met him hungrily.
Kate started pulling at his shirt, eager to get rid of it. He let out a surprised laugh, he'd always thought he wouldn't be able to control himself and grab her shirt first. Now shirtless Rick stood up again, Kate still clinging to him. He turned them around and let Kate gently fall on the bed. He was beside her within seconds, kissing her fiercely, his hand disappearing under her shirt. He hovered with his hand over her bra for a moment before pulling away.
''Is this okay?''
She gently brushed his hair back with her hand. ''Trust me, you'll know when it's not okay.'' She said softly, to her surprise he didn't laugh. He gave her a gentle kiss, slowing down their movements. Rick removed his hand from under her shirt and started pulling at it to come off all together. He tossed the shirt off the bed and positioned himself on top of Kate. The sensation of their skin touching was a lot to take in at the moment and he found himself taking a few deep breaths.
She blushed at his intense gaze. ''What are you thinking about?''
''You. Me. Not messing this up.'' She nodded, encouraging for him to continue. ''I haven't done this in a while.'' He let out softly smiling awkwardly. She had moved her right leg and wrapped it around his calve, only making it harder for him to continue talking at all. She gave him a quick peck and he took the opportunity to start exploring her neck.
''I'm- not experienced.'' She admitted, her face crimson red. He pulled back to look at her.
''How not experienced are we talking here?'' He could already slap himself for his blunt question. He planted himself next to her ''Let me guess, too much too soon and all that.''
''Yes, he was quite eager. Dumped me a few days later as well.'' She said calmly, already seeming to have put it behind her. She gently pushed some of the hairs that had fallen across his face back again. ''I can't believe we haven't talked about this before. What was your first time like?''
He laid down next to her on his side, propping his head up on his hand. ''I was way too eager, and it was over way too soon. Sound familiar?''
She chuckled. ''Nope, not at all.''
''I figured.''
''What was her name?''
''Lizzie, junior High. We moved a lot when I was small. Mother was always up for a play somewhere in the US, just not long enough for us to actually settle. ''
''Richard Castle, did you break her heart?''
He lowered his voice. ''I did.''
She mimicked his position. ''You break a lot of hearts in your short lifetime?''
He chuckled softly. ''I did.''
''Get your heart broken?''
''Absolutely.'' He let out a deep sigh when the memories came floating back to him. ''Kyra, I think that she was the first for who I truly was and whom I could be. She made me write down the character that would later be known as Derrick Storm.''
Realization downed on Kate. ''You loved her.''
''I did.''
''What happened?''
He shrugged. ''Life.''
''Life? That can't be your answer.''
''It can actually, it just happened. Even made a sentence with it as well.'' He leaned over to kiss her swiftly. ''Kate, even though you are studying to become the whole ''First Female Chief Justice'' and all that… do you think that's what you'll end up doing for the rest of your life?''
She looked at him for a moment before she took a deep breath and slowly let go. ''No.''
''No?'' He gave her a curious look.
''I have been having second thoughts.'' He kept quiet, silently encouraging her to go on. ''I can't say that I haven't enjoyed my time at the academy, and I've been doing quite well, but I feel like something might be missing. I just can't put my finger on it.
''Being good at something doesn't mean that it's your life purpose.''
''Says the successful author.'' She quipped.
He laughed. ''Touché. I wasn't very good at it, if that helps. A large number of publishers actually rejected 'In Hail of Bullets'. Black Pawn was just the first that saw the potential. In the book. In me. They probably realized that with Martha Rodgers as mother, I'd be a good fit for the role they had in mind.''
''That sounds really mature Rick. Honestly, I did not know you could do that.'' He then proceeded to tickle her sides to make her forget about the seriousness of their conversation. In a moment of weakness, she put her leg around his and flipped them so that she was on top of him.
''Where did you learn how to do that?'' He struggled to catch his breath, for multiple reasons.
She shrugged. ''Self-defense class when I was younger.''
He chuckled, mostly to himself. ''You'd be a great cop.''
''What makes you say that?'' That had certainly piqued her curiosity.
A smug grin appeared on his face. ''Because you're such a people person.'' She then proceeded to flip him onto his stomach and swiftly pulling his arms behind him. After a few 'okay okay's' from Castle, she laughed and let go of his arms. ''Let's be clear, I let you win.'' He tried, rolling back onto his back. The look he gave her, made him add: ''When I tell people my version of the story.''
A devious smile spread across her face. ''Really now? Want me to show you again?''
He swallowed quickly. ''I think I'm good. Let's just remember that my safe word is Apples, okay?''
''Apples, huh? I believe you that already told me that yesterday'' She moved her hand to his face, and he suggestively waggled his brows, but instead of going for a gentle squeeze like he'd expected, she pulled on his ear.
Instead of folding like he'd planned he could not hold himself back from pinning her into the mattress and kissing her gently. They stared into each other eyes for a while before Kate slowly let her hand wander to his back. She could instantly see his eyes darkening and it spurred her on to lower her hands onto his ass, pulling him against her.
''You're playing a dangerous game here, Beckett.''
She chuckled. ''Beckett?''
''What? You get to call me Castle. Why wouldn't I be allowed to call you Beckett?''
''Fair point.'' She hesitated for a second before tightening her grip on him. ''I'm not playing any games, are you?''
''Oh Kate, I don't think I could.'' He kissed her passionately before lowering his voice. ''Not anymore.''
She raised a brow and slowly moved her hand under the waistband of his jeans. To her surprise he stayed perfectly still. Kate then removed her hand and gently pushed him off her and guide him to lay on his back. Fueled by the fact that she took initiative, he threw his head back and clenched his fists.
He took a deep breath and forced himself to watch her. Mesmerized by the view he was greeted with he felt the air leave his lunges forcefully. She was met with the most breathtaking smile she's ever seen. She could only meet his gaze with a similar look. ''You're so breathtakingly beautiful it hurts.''
She was blushing heavily, but she managed to get a reply out before her brain had shut down. ''For a writer, I expected something a tiny bit more original than that.''
He laughed and feigned hurt by clutching his chest. ''Ouch.'' She pulled his hand away and kissed him on the spot where it had been.
''I can't imagine my life without you.'' She whispered before kissing the spot beneath his ear that had drove him nuts earlier. He opened his mouth, but closed it again, leaving him gaping like a fish. Don't mess this up Rick.
She moved to stand up and get rid of the rest of the clothes that she was wearing, but he stopped her. Kate almost heard him say ''we don't have to do this tonight'', and she could certainly see it in his eyes. However, his eyes also displayed a level of raw emotion that she'd never seen before, and she was curious. How they could be. What they could be.
It was almost as if he could read her mind. He looked concerned when she took a few seconds to make up her mind. She smiled nervously and he mimicked her look, before he invited her to come back to bed with him by holding out his hand.
''Stop. Thinking.'' He pulled her closer and laid his head on her chest, unable to open his eyes completely. Kate moved her hand to his head and softly started stroking his hair. ''Am too tired.''
She kissed him on his forehead. ''I know that you are. Go to sleep Rick. I'll still be here in the morning.''
''You will.'' It sounded more than a question than a statement, but then again, this man hadn't slept properly the last few weeks. ''Will you?'' He added softly.
She chuckled. ''I will.'' He immediately tightened his grip on her.
''M'kay.'' She continued stroking his hair and tried to even out her own breath. A few moments later they were both peacefully asleep.
The next morning came by quickly. They'd come home together after Kate had picked up Rick from the airport. Even though she'd planned to make him dinner and then watch a movie, maybe work a make out session in there, they'd gone back to bed almost immediately after coming home. And what a night it was. Kate still blushed at the thought of them together last night. Even though she wasn't very experienced, she knew that it wouldn't always be like this. Rick had taken his time, exploring every part of her body and finding out what made her tick. She had done the same in return and had loved every single second of it.
Kate woke up to Rick kissing her cheek before he'd collected himself and went to the bathroom. Round three happened a few moments after he'd returned in nothing but his boxers. They fell asleep again until Kate woke up to the sound of her stomach. She slowly untangled herself from him, eager not to wake him up, she stole yet another one of his sweaters from his closet and put it on. After a while she heard the shower start.
Kate started gathering the ingredients for breakfast while she waited for Rick to get out of the bathroom. The smell of the coffee made her smile as she reached for the sugar free vanilla sirup on the top shelf. She topped off two mugs and was just about to take a sip when Rick planted himself on one of the bar stools and started talking.
''So, what was it that had your panties in a twist yesterday?'' He said as he reached for the coffee that she'd put in front of him.
Her eyes displayed a level of panic that was unknown to him as Kate chocked on her coffee. Rick laughed and immediately stood up to walk over to her. He gently rubbing her back to calm her and planted a kiss on her hair. ''Subtle, Castle.'' She managed, coughing once again.
''Subtle is my middle name.'' He said, wiggling his brows.
''I thought it was Alexander.'' He shook his head at her, smile still on his face. ''At least I saw it on one of your book jackets, or is that another one of your Castle theatrics? A fake middle name?'' She sat herself down on the bar stool again and put her hand on his leg, leaning in to kiss him.
''Don't change the subject. Or distract me.'' He sat down next to her and gently pulled on her leg to get her to turn her body to his. ''Communication is key, sweetheart. I can't help you if I don't know what's going on.'' Kate sighed and started reciting the information her parents had given her earlier that week. While explaining, Rick grabbed her hand and simply listened. Occasionally he threw in a random question that made her reconsider her thinking pattern and adjusted it so it would make more sense to him. Rick had never seen her in her element like this. He looked at her with a proud look on his face. They spent a few hours dissecting and discussing their next move. It almost felt like solving a murder investigation, Rick's words. Not hers. However, there was something exciting about solving this mystery. Together.
They'd spent most of the day in bed, talking about small nothings and their future. Both couldn't remember talking about life this lividly in ages. A heavy make out session interrupted their life altering conversation, but let's be honest, so was their making out in this case. They'd crossed a line and all bets were off. Round four would have to wait for a while because they were both still exhausted. That was until Kate had decided to wear one of his button down shirts.
After dinner, which was eaten in the kitchen simply for the chance of scenery, even though Rick had stated that he really didn't care if they'd eat in bed and messed things up, Kate had to leave. She still had some schoolwork she had to do and even though Rick couldn't even think about it – he'd have to start writing the next chapter for Storm if he wanted to keep living in his fancy loft. They reluctantly said their goodbyes, but not before sharing yet another lengthy make out session in the doorframe. Or Kate being pressed up against the door frame. It depended how you look at it. All during which Rick had tried to convince her to stay over another night and move away with him to another country. Him being a writer and all, made it sound really attractive. Who was she kidding anyway, she'd probably given in if her mother hadn't raised such a strong-willed child. With a last bruising kiss, she pushed him back into his house, winked at him and left him gaping at her. She walked with an extra swing of her hips as she walked towards the elevator. Rick had finally found enough blood flooding through his brain to function and leaned in his doorframe as he watched her leave. I can't believe she's mine.
While Kate had actually gone home to study and mostly to show her parents that she was, in fact, still alive, she had trouble focusing. Pictures of her and Rick in his bed and kitchen was a bit much. She couldn't stop the flush that had spread over her face. She couldn't even blame the lukewarm coffee she was holding. It was all too new and too fresh, and she knew her mom would feel something. Johanna, obviously, had spotted the change in her daughter's mood immediately and was desperate for more information though she had a faint idea.
''That was a beautiful picture of the two of you at the airport.'' Oh God, here we go. ''I wasn't going to mention it, but you've been withholding information about your relationship with a certain writer, so I just wanted to make sure that you know that I know.''
Kate heard her dad coughing loudly from the next room, obviously trying to contain his laughter. She just shook her head and composed herself quickly, not allowing her mother's words to trigger her. ''Thank you.'' She said instead, with a smug smile. Johanna raised her brow.
''Who are you and what have you done to my daughter?''
''I honestly don't know what you're talking about.'' Kate said, hiding her smiling face behind her mug of steaming hot coffee.
''You're smiling.'' Her mom said, stating the obvious. Jim put his head around the corner to see if it was safe to move from the kitchen to the dining area. Johanna continued folding the napkins as if she hadn't just subtly tried to dig into her daughter's love life. ''Friends, my ass.'' She muttered under her breath, before taking a sip from her tea.
Kate burst out laughing, breaking the tension that had surrounded them for quite a while. Johanna tried to contain her stern face, but failed miserably, much to Jim's entertainment. Jim walked up to his wife, gave her shoulder a squeeze and kissed her on her hair before moving towards the kitchen again. Johanna then burst out laughing as well, joining her daughter who was now wiping away her tears.
After they'd finished folding the rest of the napkins in silence, Johanna spoke up. ''You should invite Rick to dine with us next week. We have that thing on Friday.''
''Thing?''
''You know.'' Her mom said dismissively, waving her hand as to brush it off.
Kate narrowed her eyes. ''I'm at a loss here.''
''It's our wedding anniversary.'' Jim shouted from the kitchen. ''You promised you would be there.''
Kate's jaw dropped. ''I can't believe I forgot.''
''It's alright, you do remember that we have a party that accompanies that diner?'' Kate nodded immediately, still ashamed that she forgot her parent's wedding anniversary. ''Bring Rick.''
''I'll ask him.''
''So, about that picture-''
''Mom, I love you dearly and that is why we are not having this conversation. Not now, if ever.'' Kate said as she grabbed her jacket and purse, skillfully maneuvering herself to the front entrance while walking backwards. ''I'll see you tonight!''
''Say 'hi' to Castle for me!'' Johanna said, still shaking her head. Jim chose that moment to walk back into the dining area to see his wife still laughing to herself. He sat down opposite her. ''Oh, she's got it bad.'' She muttered, moving her view from the door to her husband.
She never saw him coming.
