Chapter 2: Cultists Approved
I woke up from tripping in Petalburg Forest. Apparently I banged my head on a tree. Ouch..
But something wasnt right. I wasn't in the forest but rather in a tent?? I was confused since I hadn't quiet bashed my head near a tent. I got up but felt light headed, a grown man ran up to me and suggested I lay back down as I was in "fatal condition" I felt fine for all I cared.. I noticed the guy create a collar but the only thing I could make out was a J "huh how funny" then everything went black.
I was terrified I had a dream and all I can tell was it was bad. Because I woke up and like mentally died. The people around me started chanting some foreign prophecy I was sort of a nerd so I knew what they were saying but everything went blank. I forgot??? How the hell do I forget something like my… my? What……
I felt my body shift in pain. This was strange.. I felt something grow on my head and my buttocks. "Heh buttocks.. get it" I retort to myself.
I felt my feet and hands start to throb. And when I looked at them……
"WHAT THE FUDKIP"
Wait hold on, what did I just say?
"WHUDKIP!"
I felt my body shrink and saw my hands had merged into PAWS???
This was weird but that wasnt the tip of the iceberg. I felt something grow out of my head. Fins…
No this cant be happening I thought to myself.
My head started to expand into a circle and sectioned into 2 areas. Both a shade of blue??
My spine shifted in a VENGEFUL crack
I tell you not I let out a BLOOD curdling scream.
"Shh.. it's fine. The healing is complete" the people said.
"THE HEALING???" I thought to myself
I tried to stand on my feet but I was forced on all fours
uhh what
Soon thats when everything went blank and I passed out.
When I had awoken the people had left.
All that was left was a bag. Strange. I thought to myself.
There were Pokéballs and a case with a device.
Honestly I dont know how I was able to tell which of them had a Pokémon in them seeing as I'm just a mudkip.
I pressed the button on the Pokéballs and a tailow and Mudkip appeared in front of me.
"Hi fellow Pokémon! I'm…."
Wait what was my name..
I scurried into the bag and found a collar..
The collar said James "How funny"
I put the collar on which unkowingly opened up an insight to something I hadn't remember. But now I remember
"MY NAME IS JAMES! WHY AM I A MUDKIP!"
Skipper and Mane ran up to the now sobbing Mudkip and tried to comfort him.
"Calm down!" They said in unison
I passed out behind a bush.
I woke up an hour later being snuggled by my Pokémon companions.
"There has to be a way to change me BACK!"
But it hit me, I brought an urban legend book along with me in case any of them were real.
"If I remember correctly theres a cave of crystals somewhere that can change Pokémon into humans!"
I flipped to the page with trouble because of my stubby paw looking things
"In the Galar cave theres a…"
I accidentally used water gun on the page
"WHAT THE HELL?"
"NOW MY ONLY CHANCE AT BECOMING HUMAN AGAIN IS GONE" i sobbed
Skipper reassured that it would be fine and that we would be able to figure out more!
Besides my Pokénav did have some info about this stuff
The legend states that the crystals are found underwater.
Mane looked sad as he couldn't go in water
"Skipper and mane, will you journey to galar with me?"
"YES!" They exclaimed, ready to bond with their trainer, now a mudkip.
"Oops one more thing, if we are traveling to a new region we need to be prepared." I told my pals
I resumed my actions and sent Professor Birch a text.
"Man this comes in handy!"
"Okay lets go to the Pokémon center in Rustboro!!" I said trying to get used to walking on all fours
Beforehand I pulled out an Empty Pokéball and caught myself
Skipper and Mane looked at the Pokéball in shock as I caught myself and exited the Pokéball.
"COZY!" I exclaimed
"Uhh, why did you do that?" Both Skipper and Mane said
I combat the confusion by saying "so trainers cant catch me duh"
"Oh" both said in fascination
"Now time to put the Pokéballs in the bag and putting the Pokétranslator ON!!"
"How about some training while we wait?" I suggested
