"How about some training while we wait" I suggested

"Are you sure?" Skipper said unsurely

"You think you can use moves?" Mane said

"I just blasted my book with a water gun-" I blankly said

"Of course I can!"

As we were training I suggested going to the body of water to train our water moves.

Skipper told me how to focus my water gun attack! I was so happy

Then we started strategizing for the gym battle!!

And to top it off we ate some berries we found on a bush.

By the end of the day we were ready to meet Professor Birch

We rested at the Pokémon center while waiting, then the door opened.

It was the professor!!

"James?? Where are you" He exclaimed

Me, a mudkip walked up to him and he saw me

"Why hello Mudkip! What is your name?" He then noticed the collar

The collar read James

Birches heart stopped for a moment before Skipper and Mane ran over, well Mane flew over I mean

"James?? Is that you?????!" He asked surprised

"Mudkip!" I said as the collar translated my speech

He grabbed me Skipper and Mane and RAN to his lab to do testing

A few moments later we were waiting for the blood tests

He said my blood was human and that I could return to normal, he suggested battling gyms and trying to evolve to grow stronger.

"Mudkip mud mud!" The collar read out "Wow me Evolve???!!!"

"Yes this will give you more insight on strategy!"

I was happy that I could evolve seeing as Swampert was my favorite

"Mudkip mud mudkip mudkip!" The collar read out see you in galar

"Galar?" He questioned

I pulled out my Pokénav and searched the crystals I read about.

"Ahh" he said.

He continued with "stay safe!" And we were on our way to the gym.

I entered the gym and went to Roxanne with my collar on read aloud mode As I yipped in mudkip the collar would read it out loud

The collar translated "Hi! I'm James Im here to challenge you to a gym battle as I take out my Ball that contained Skipper"

She looked at me like I was joking

I clicked the button with my paw and out came Skipper.

Roxanne sent out geodude

The translator read out that I commanded Skipper to use water gun at the ground

"What??" Roxanne asked

The collar then told Mudkip to roll around in the mud

"Use tackle!" Roxanne commanded to her geodude

I saw this coming and told Mudkip to use wide guard. Thanks to the mud, Skippers defense had rose and hardened his body.

The translator then read roll right into Geodude while using water gun

Skipper did and it was super effective

While he was close up I commanded mud slap and that knocked her geodude out

As she returned geodude in shock she sent out her nosepass and thats when the battle really began!

I commanded water gun which was super effective but the nosepass used harden and shook it off with ease, knowing it could do serious damage I told mudkip to dig holes in the ground and fill them with water

Mudkip ran and jumped into the mini lakes as i told him to jump out and use water gun between jumps

Nosepass was down and I commanded a mud slap to finish the battle

I had won

Roxanne set the badge down next to me and I grabbed my case and carefully place the badge in the slot with my stubby paws.

"I am grateful for our battle" I exclaimed

"Same for me, seeing as it's the first time a Pokémon challenged me" she exclaimed

"I will return when I am back to normal"

And as for that, we left to go heal in the Pokémon center, and we continued onward.

A professor ran after a funny looking man in red

"STOP DONT TAKE THAT" he yelled
