Chapter 38: Family Bonds!
While Sonic, Luffy, and Ruby were running down a road and looking for the temple, a large robot appears on the mountain.
Ruby: Guys, we have company.
Sonic: I see it, sis.
Luffy: Ah? What is that thing?!
Sonic: Right, you were with Blackbeard. It seems that it is the same robot that I defeated in Mazuri.

Boss Battle (Day) - Sonic Unleashed [OST]
The Egg Lance begins to shoot its lasers at Sonic and the others, but they manage to dodge the attacks, although Zoro managed to cut the lasers, impressing the hunters. The Lancer goes for a claw strike, but Ruby dodges it and shoots her into the control center. Weiss, Blake, and Yang provide covering fire while Brook cuts off one of its legs, causing it to start to lose its equipment. They proceed to chase the machine when they have to climb the wall and run over it.
Robin: This could be a problem, my skill does not allow me to create such a long path.
Nami: Not even Zeus is big enough for everyone.
Weiss: Don't worry girls. I have a plan.
Weiss uses gravity Dust, causing everyone to run up the walls.
Usopp: How expected of Weiss Schnee, good job!

They all look up and see five figures: the first one looked a lot like his foster brother, Luffy. However, he was much more serious than Luffy's cheerful design, and he was also slightly taller and more muscular. He also sported freckles which made him look quite childish and tended to make an incredulous facial expression raising his left eyebrow. Tattoos are marked among his most notable features. He had a tattoo on his back with the Whitebeard symbol (purple bones forming a cross behind a purple skull with a white mustache), which he described as his pride and joy. He had another tattoo on his upper left bicep that reads "ASCE" vertically with the "S" crossed out. He wore black boots, black knee-length pants with an orange studded eyelet ribbon, and a blue pouch with a belt around his left leg. He also wore a short belt in second place with a large net "A" on the silver buckle above his right hip, but he left it shelled and threaded the free end along the back of his shorts. A dagger in a green area hung from his left hip. On his left arm, he wore a log pose and a red and white striped bracelet around his wrist, an orange elbow guard, and his "ASCE" tattoo. He wore a red beaded necklace and an orange hat with two blue smileys, scowling and smiling, and a red beaded necklace sitting on the brim. Two secondary straps hung on either side of his hat and a large medallion of a bull's skull with orange tassels. Green flames were shown on the feet, indicating his passing.

His clothing is reminiscent of that of the nobility; he wears a dark blue vest with silver buttons over a shirt of the same tone; a white handkerchief around his neck; baggy pants of a lighter blue tucked into black boots; a simple black belt; brown gloves and a black unbuttoned trench coat with a buckle on the left sleeve. Also, he wears a black top hat with blue glasses around it.

"Sabo, chief of staff of the Revolutionary Army and, No. 2 of the organization."
They both smile at Luffy, while the other figures reveal themselves to be hedgehogs.
One of them bears a strong resemblance to Amy Rose's design, deducing that she was a girl. As for the wardrobe, she wears a dress with a short dark blue skirt and a red top. The two sections are separated by a gold band that forms a pointed shape at the front with a small circle in the center of it. Her gloves are blue and reach to the elbows, she also wears purple and red boots.
"Sonia Hedgehog, Sonic's sister and heir to the Mobius throne."
The second hedgehog smiles at Sonic in a mocking, yet affectionate way. His appearance is that of a hedgehog with green spikes. She wears a vest with red straps on the outside. Unlike Sonic who wears white gloves, his are white and he wears spiked bracelets. Manic also wears sneakers, but different from his older brother's. He has a silver necklace, his right ear has two piercings, Manic's spikes are more rustic than his brothers Sonic and Sonia.
"Manic D. The Hedgehog, Sonic's brother and heir to the Mobius throne."
Manic: Hi, Big Bro. How long.
Sonia: You continue with that naturist style! Ha, ha, ha.

Sonic widened his eyes in shock, when everyone turned around and saw Sonic's mother: an anthropomorphic hedgehog, with long purple, eggplant hair and a long yellow cape, as well as purple skin and blue eyes. Her crown and her slightly thick piece of cloth at the front end of the cape that is gold. While her armor that covers her body is white, the jewel in the center of it is cherry colored. Her eyes are black. On the cape were the jolly roger from the Roger Pirates, the Whitebeard Pirates and the Revolutionary Army.
"Aleena D. The Hedgehog, former queen of Mobius and interdimensional warrior of the Roger Pirates, the Whitebeard Pirates and the Revolutionary Army."
Sonic: M-Mom ... Is it you?
Aleena approaches her son, showing the same green flames that Ace and her children had, and hugs her eldest son who begins to cry, returning the hug to her mother.
Aleena: I miss you, Sonic. Luckily you're alive, I thought...

The rest of the heroes and pirates smiled at such a scene, some with tears.

However, there was still a surprise, especially for Ruby and Yang.

Yang and Ruby immediately turn in the direction and put their hands to their mouths.

Ruby had tears in her eyes, struggling to hold back unsuccessfully.

She seemed to be almost the spitting image of Ruby, with the same silver eyes, fair complexion, and hair faded from black to red. She had her hair pulled back to her shoulders in a half up / half down style and was wearing a hooded cape that is white on the outside and red underneath. Beneath that cape is an outfit similar to her daughter's, but mostly black: a high-neck blouse with studded wrist bands on the arms, a black and white over-the-bust corset, a skirt with white tulle underneath, gray leggings, and knee-high boots with red soles.
"Summer D. Rose, "The Dancer with the Silver Eyes", leader of Team STRQ and interdimensional warrior of the Roger Pirates, the Whitebeard Pirates, and the Revolutionary Army."
Summer calmly walked up to her daughter for a gentle hug, when she burst into tears.
Summer: Yeah, yeah ... That's it, my girl.
Ruby: I've... I've missed you! Mom... MOM!
Summer: Me too, my love.
Ace and Sabo smile at the scenes of family love, while the hunters try to look professional, with little success. Then Yang approaches Ruby and Summer, shyly.
Yang: He-hey, mom ... I ba-barely met you ...
Summer: My little dragon ... Come here ...
Yang tears up and hugs her stepmother happily.
Yang: I love you.
Summer: And I love you too. Thank you for taking care of Ruby and Tai.
Franky: Wow! How beautiful, the reunion between relatives!
Zoro: Shut up. Although I am happy for them.
Ace and Sabo approach everyone with a smile, albeit with their fists on fire.
Blake: Damn it ... So there's no choice but to fight right?

WBY and JNPR are shocked by the radical change of their friend's sweet mother. However, the most surprised one was Luffy, who instantly looked in Summer's direction, remembering those same words in his fight against Katakuri. The Straw Hats and the Beacon Hunters prepare to fight and help their friends.
Weiss: Ruby, Sonic, Luffy, stay behind. We take care of this.
Nami: We have you covered-
All three: No. We take care of this.
Blake: But Ruby ...
Zoro: They said they take care of it. Leave them, this time it's personal.
The contenders face each other, ready for the fight of their lives.

Soon, Luffy roared as he charged towards Ace and Sabo, who attacked him. Soon, the Grand Line brothers collided, exchanging quick blows with each other. However, Ace managed to land a few punches before hitting Luffy on the jaw, sending him to the ground.
Nami: Luffy!
Luffy growled as he stood up and wiped the blood from his jaw, however, Sabo hit Luffy with his pipe, wrapped in Busoshoku Haki.
Ace: Is that all you have, Luffy? I thought you had gotten stronger.
Sabo: I don't know Ace, it seems like it was just luck that he was the Fifth Emperor.
"I haven't started yet," Luffy hissed before attacking Ace, who smirked and stepped out of the way before kicking him in the stomach, causing him to stumble and cough up bile.
While with Sonic ...
Sonic begins to fight with Manic and Sonia when the latter gives him an uppercut to knock down her older brother. Then Sonic curls into a ball and hits the two hedgehogs with his Whirlwind, only for Manic to grab him and send him to one of the trees.
Manic: Ha, not bad, Big Bro, but it's not enough.
Sonia: Although you are stronger, I admit it.
Sonic: I haven't even started to sweat!
With Ruby and Yang ...
The two hunters prepare to fight doubtfully since their rival was their mother.
Ruby: Can't we do this another way?
Summer: Sorry honey. If you want to be a strong hunter, you have to beat me.
Summer throws herself at Ruby at high speed, however, Yang manages to stop her.
Ruby: Huh?
Yang: Ruby, get your act together! Summer ... No, Mom is dead ... and the ONLY reason she's here is to test us. If we can't cope with her, nothing we've done would have been of any use!
Ruby is surprised to see how tough Yang was being this time. Even with many doubts, she manages to get up and gets into position.

Sabo shoots fire bullets with his fingers at Luffy who can barely dodge them.

While Summer exchanges blows with Ruby who barely manages to defend herself from her mother. In a careless moment, Yang drives off Ember Celica and hits Summer, however Summer uses one of her pistols and shoots, piercing her shoulder.
Ruby: YANG!
Summer: One less. Now she is your turn.
With Sonic...
Sonic kicks Manic and sends him to his sister, while Aleena continues to observe the course of the fight.
Sonia: Wow, it's still amazing.
Manic: Right, that's why it's about time to use this.
Sonia nods and they each put a medallion around their necks. Sonic freezes when he recognizes them.
Sonic: That's ... That's ...
Sonia: Rock and Roll, Sonic.
Sonia activates her locket and transforms into an electric keyboard capable of firing laser beams. Her brother does the same and her medallion becomes a battery that also functions as a weapon, capable of controlling the earth. Sonia begins to shoot Sonic at high speed, while Manic knocks her battery to the ground.
Sonia: What do you think-

With Luffy...
Luffy groaned as he stood up, but when he looked up, he gasped at the sight of Ace's burning arms on the ground.

Ace sent a giant column of fire towards Luffy, who quickly ran off.

Luffy screamed as he tried to hit Ace and Sabo with a flurry of Haki-infused fists, but they both leaped into the air, dodging his attack. Not long after, small balls of green light appeared, floating around Luffy.
Ace: Hotarubi!
FWOOSH! The balls burst into flames, seemingly engulfing Luffy.
Sabo :And now... Hiken!
Sabo uses Ace's signature attack, increasing the damage.
"LUFFY!" Pyrrha yelled.
"LUFFY, NO!" Usopp yelled.
"Take it easy!" Zoro yelled. "Look over there!"
Ace and Sabo turned to see Luffy, standing on a tree branch, panting heavily before stretching his arms towards the grass.
"Gomu Gomu no… ROCKET!" he roared before launching himself flying towards Ace, knocking him against another tree.
"AGH!" Ace cried before kicking Luffy in the face, sending him to the ground again. However, D.'s youngest wielder did a quick somersault, grabbing himself before he could fall, but then Ace ran towards him again, punching him in the stomach. Sabo sees this and grabs Luffy, attacking him with a three-finger claw strike, causing him to bleed. Luffy counterattacks with a Gomu Gomu no Jet Pistol sent Sabo to a wall.
With Ruby...
Ruby: She's amazing...
Ruby was panting tiredly, with various cuts on her body and her right temple was bleeding. Summer had cornered her when she was protecting Yang. Then Summer pounces on Ruby and starts trading scythe blows with her. Ruby steps aside and shoots her mother who, although she manages to deflect most of them, receives a couple of them.
Summer: Not bad... But you still have a long way to go, brat!
Ruby was fed up, her dead mother was laughing at her and her older half-sister was out cold.
Ruby: Shut up...
Summer: Huh?
Ruby: I said shut up, you fucking faker!
Everyone was shocked that Ruby cursed for the first time, even Weiss and Blake both blinked in surprise.
WB: Wow.
Ruby: My mother... My REAL mother would never attack Yang or insult me in such a cruel way. So she stops imitating her, you damn bastard!
Ruby unleashes her Haoshoku Haki from her, shocked Summer and hitting her in the face with a punch. Summer flys... smiling and landing gracefully next to Luffy's brothers.
Ace: Your daughter is very strong, ma'am.
Summer: I'm glad how strong he's become... Luffy is a good influence.
Sabo: Sure it is!
Aleena reunites with the others, along with Manic and Sonia (although very exhausted) after keeping Sonic on the brink of defeat, Sonic had several cut wounds and holes, caused by his mother's great skill with the sword.
Aleena: Incredible... she is stronger than before...
Manic: I don't know... what... you're surprised, mom...
Sonia: He is... a hero...
The three heroes look at each other before seeing their opponents one last time.
Luffy: The reason I fight...
Sonic: The reason I got stronger...
Ruby: The reason I realized I had to get stronger...
A look of determination appears on the three of them, impressed all of them.
All three: It was because YOU died for me!

Luffy begins to set his arm on fire, Sonic also begins to accumulate energy and Ruby prepares to propel himself.
Robin: This is the end.
Blake: It will all be over soon.

Luffy: GUUUUM... GUUUUUUUUUUUUM... NO...
Sabo: Don't think you're going to beat us, Luffy.
Ace and Sabo: HIKEN!
They both roared as he threw his flaming fists forward. Sonia and Manic used their medallions to help Sabo and Ace and Summer charge against Ruby.
Luffy: RED HAWK!
He roared as he sent his fist to Ace and Sabo as well. Sonic propels himself, crashing into the combined force of Manic and Sonia. And Ruby and Summer end up charging against each other ...
However, Luffy's flaming fist surpasses his siblings and Sonic surpasses his. As for mother and daughter, Summer receives a fatal cut, and her weapons break.
The six are sent to the bottom of the makeshift battlefield, crashing into a tree and being defeated in the process.
All three clenched their fists, before standing tall.
Luffy: It's over... It looks like we can put that gem in the hole.
Sonic: Chaos Emerald, Bro. Keep the name.
Ruby: In any case, Chopper has to see Yang, my mother will have left her very bad.
As they left, none of his friends wanted to say anything, because they did not want to provoke a more tense situation. However, no one noticed that as they left ... the six disappeared into small green embers.

(What a chapter... I was inspired by One Piece Red Unlimited World for this fight, since having the game, it has given me a couple of ideas for this chapter, I know that it should have also been Chip's origins, but say dedicate a whole chapter to the fights.
