The Wicked Witch went over towards the Queen's dresser in her room, and she peered inside at it. Looking at all the jewellery she had collected over the years as Queen. "Look at all her things," she mused. "Onyx. Black pearl. Diamond …" She picked up a ruby and diamond earring and held it up to her ear, looking at it in the mirror. "A family could live off what this is worth." She dropped it to the mirror and turned towards the closet. "And she just left it all behind."

The flying monkey tilted its head and squawked.

"Such pretty things," she continued. "All wasted on her." She opened the wardrobe doors and looked at all the Queen's clothing. She pulled out a black dress and walked back towards the centre of the room. "Now, this could work," she said, engulfing herself in a cloud of green smoke and putting the dress on her body. She walked towards the standing mirror and deeply exhaled as she looked at herself in the mirror. "Now that's how you wear a dress," she admired as the monkey squawked again.

"I know I look lovely," the Wicked Witch told the creature. "Now go find the Evil Queen and let her know that I'm here. And, no, there's no need to be gentle."

The monkey turned around and ran towards the balcony before it left off the edge and flew away.
