Clear Blue Sky Ch. 11

Evie's ears popped for the 100th time, grabbing another piece of gum, she turned to Donovan, "OK, this does suck. How are you OK?" she asked him, while pouting.

Turning a little in his seat, he tucked loose hair behind her ear, shrugging his shoulders, "I don't have a clue baby. But" reaching into his pocket, he pulled out another pack of gum. "You look like you're almost done with that first pack." Leaning over he kissed her. Giving her nose a small peck as he sat back in the seats, grateful that they agreed to spring for first class.

Taking the pack that he just handed her, "I love you that much more now, incase you were wondering." Popping another piece into her mouth, Evie grabbed her headphones and put her music on, checking her watch, they had about another hour in the air before they landed at Nashville. Leaning back as far as she could, Evie let herself drift off for a cat nap. Her mind racing with the hope that he enjoyed her home, and that her mother and father liked him, because in her heart she saw a future with him. She was hoping he felt the same way.

Rocker looked down at the beauty that was using his arm as a pillow, gently moving his thumb over her cheek, happy that her bruise faded. Placing a light kiss on her forehead, he leaned back a bit, his mind drifting off to the previous night. He really couldn't help but smile at the memory of it.

FLASHBACK

Rocker was packing his shit, wondering what he would need to bring with him and what the weather would be like during their stay. Pulling out his phone, called Evie.

"Hey baby. What's up?"
"I was just wondering what kind of clothes should I bring? I have no idea what the weather is like in February out there."
A light chuckle was heard, "It's usually cold this time a year, long sleeves, jeans, boots, and a jacket, would be the best. Do you have anything like that?"
Looking into his closet he had a few long sleeve shirts and a jacket from his trip to Colorado with Val. "Actually, I do. OK, you on your way yet?"
"Just packed my bags, I'll be there in about 20 depending on traffic."
"Drive safe baby. Love you."
"Love you too."

As he hung up their call, he made another to her favorite Chinese restaurant so that they wouldn't have to wait too long for dinner.

It didn't take him too much longer to finish up what he was doing, before he heard a knock on his door. Opening the door, he could see that she was there smiling at him, stepping aside he grabbed her bags and placed them by the door, once he had them down, he gripped her and kissed her.

Wrapping her hands around his neck, kissing him back, she loved the way he tasted, it was a heady combination of man and wild. Needing a little air, she pulled back and looked up to him, giving him a small smile.

Moving her strawberry blonde hair out of her face, he smiled down at her, taking her hand he brought her to the couch, putting on a movie, it flabbergasted him that she never seen Die Hard.

Feeling her head on his shoulder, made him sigh out in contentment, while he enjoyed taking her out, she loved the boardwalk, or a good hike, but these moments where it was just them at home, relaxing, talking, even playing videogames, those were his favorite.

They sat on the couch as they ate, his eyes while on the movie, he would dart back to her, watching her laugh, but the best part of the night was when Evie in all her nerdiness snorted when he tossed Hanz out the window. He watched as she covered her face, doing her best to disappear.

Leaning over her, he gently pulled her hands off her face, "Why are you hiding beautiful?" he asked her.

Letting out a sigh, "You know, while 99% of the time, I love you for being so strong, but right now, it stinks." Giving him a small smile, "Snorting in front of one's boyfriend, can be embarrassing for a young lady."

Giving her a sly smirk, he leaned back and pulled her up and maneuvered her into his lap. Chuckling as she let a huff on frustration. "I thought it was adorable. So will you shut up. Please."

Laying her head on his shoulder, "For now, yes. Because you are amazingly comfortable."

Taking his arms, he wrapped them around her as he turned off the TV, "Early morning tomorrow. Off to bed with us angel." Not letting her go, he carried her to the bed and gently placed her down. Crawling into the bed behind her, he pulled her to him, "You are the most important thing in my life Evelyn, I hope you know that."

Giving him a kiss, she smiled at him, leaning up, she took off her tank top, and was left only in her panties, her eyes raked over his body, pleased to find that he was just in his boxers, and his cock was standing proudly. She wanted to show him that she loved him, and that he was the most important person in her life too.

Leaning over she poked him "Lift your ass, please." Giggling a bit as he did as he was told. Removing them she tossed them to the side, her eye locked onto his, "I love you too Donovan."

Taking a deep breath, she took his dick in her hands, giving it a tentative stroke, while they have had sex dozens of times now in the last 2 months, they never seem to get around to the basics, always ending up in bed with her legs either wrapped around his waist or her riding him for all she's worth. Not that she minded, but the few times he ate her pussy, he immediately entered her body, never giving her an opportunity to return the favor. Well, not tonight.

It took a few moments to get the right rhythm, but soon she could see that she was doing something right, his body becoming impossibly more ridged. Sitting up a little higher on her knees, she never stopped moving her hand, looking up towards him, his eyes were closed, and his head tilting back further into the pillow, grateful, she was a little worried if he saw her intent, he may have stopped her.

Taking a second to steel herself, she leaned down, and let her tongue lick the tip of his engorged cock. Slowly moving her lips and mouth around him, her goal was to give him pleasure, not rush this for him.

His eyes popped open as he felt her warm tongue slowly lick down his shaft. "FUCK." He growled out into the room. He watched as he her mouth wrapped around his dick, "Evie. You feel so good. Don't stop baby." He pleaded with her.

Smiling around his dick, she used one of her hands at the base, being that he was so large, she wanted to make sure that every inch of him was taken care of. Taking her time to get a good rhythm, she flattened her tongue as she licked the underside of his cock. Using her teeth, she lightly grazed him, just enough to feel not hurt him. Hearing his gasp only encouraged her further, doing her best to relax her throat, she was able to get him all the way down, which surprised him as much as it did her.

Taking a second to orient herself, Evie breathed through her nose, and started moving up and down his shaft, taking him all they down with each passing motion. While her jaw was aching due to his size, she wasn't going to stop until he came.

"Evie, my cock looks so good in your mouth baby." He moaned out. Gently gripping her hair to get it out of his line of sight, he watched her take his cock all the way down, never in his life had he been with anyone that could do that. It was enough to get him teetering on the edge, taking a second to close his eyes, he centered himself and watched more.

Hearing him moan out her name, and hearing him catch his breath, she knew that he was close, not wanting to waste this moment, she used her free hand to reach down at his heavy balls, knowing that the feeling of them being massaged would be enough to push him over, she was rewarded by him thrusting his hips upwards, trying to get deeper into her mouth.

"FUCK, Evie, I'm about to cum, baby. Please don't stop." He begged her.

Humming around his dick, she doubled her efforts, and soon she could hear him, groaning out her name, and the warm spurts of cum start to trickle down her throat. He wasn't overly bitter, which made her happy, Evie slowly sucked on him, from the base to the tip, trying to prolong his orgasm. Feeling his body start to relax, she let his dick go with a little pop, and let him catch his breath. Crawling up into his arms, she laid on his chest, giving it a quick kiss. "Night Donovan."

As he was finally able to see straight, he looked down at his chest finding her relaxed, giving her a quick kiss on her head, "Good night my love." And soon, he found himself drifting off to sleep with his love in his arms.

END FLASHBACK

Realizing that train of thought was leading to him have a hard-on and given that the plane was making its final approach to the runway, he didn't want to be showing his dick to the masses. Giving himself a second to calm himself, he gently shook Evie awake. "Baby, the plane is descending. Time to wake up angel."

Blinking awake, Evie sat up, cracking her neck, she looked over at him, "That was a decent nap." Rubbing her face she woke herself up.

Snorting at her, "So one we land and start heading to your home, how long will it take to get there?" he asked.

Looking at her watch, it was 8:30am, "About an hour, once we hit the road." Looking around her area, she checked to make sure that she had everything, and nothing popped out of her bag. Having a thought, she looked over at him, "You excited?"

Rocker finished checking his seat, making sure nothing fell out of his pockets, confident he had everything, "Yea. Looking forward to seeing your home, you talk so fondly of it."

Sharing a smile, the pair settled in as the plane made contact with the runway, grateful that it didn't take too long to get to the gate.

Evie was a bit nervous, as she drove towards home, it made her realize that she really missed it on the mountain, while she wouldn't move from L.A, she would make it a point to come home for at least once a year. A smile crept on her face as she saw the sign to the property. Pointing it out to him, "Here's the start of the property, it ends at the end of the National Forrest, which in turn is close to 800,000 acres. So essentially, we live on the mountain."

He watched as they drove through her property, it was beautiful, the fencing indicated what was hers, but it didn't take long from them to come across a big clearing filled with horses, there were dozens of them. "Your family loves horses." He noted.

Smiling at him, "Yea, we bred them for racing, work, and various things, that's what my family is known for." Shrugging her shoulders, "While I loved it, it wasn't my calling. I'm just happy that my family understood."

Listening intently, he was grateful that they did allow her to find herself, if not, there is a good chance their paths would have ever crossed. Shaking his head from the thought of something so horrible, he could see that she slowed the car down to roll the window down. "What are you doing baby?" he asked her. Curious to see what she was doing.

Stopping the car, she pointed, "Do you see that dark brown horse with the blonde mane?" she asked him.

Nodding, "Yea." Still unsure of what she was doing.

"That's my horse, Wildfire." Placing her fingers in her mouth, she let out a loud whistle. His reaction to the sound was instant, watching him rear up on his back legs, he bolted towards the fence line. Evie smiled at Rocker who was watching her. She could see that he was close, putting the car in drive, she road down the rest of the way to the property seeing the house was in sight.

Rocker couldn't help but laugh as a horse ran next to the car, all the way to the house, seeing it come into view was incredible. It was an older home, but well maintained, it reminded him of a mountain cabin. "Your home is beautiful Evie."

Nodding to him, "Thank you." Pulling up towards the drive, she could see that Wildfire was still running, "I need to jump out of the car, or he's gonna jump the fence." Putting the car in park, she bolted towards the fence and waited for her baby to come. She didn't have to wait long; he was a damn fast horse. Sitting on the fence, she let him nuzzle her, "Hey my beautiful boy, I've missed you so much." Wrapping her arms around his giant neck. She could feel a tear slide down her face. "If I could figure out a safe place to keep you in L.A, you'd be there with me." Evie could feel someone standing behind her, looking up, she found Rocker smiling at her. Holding out her hand, she put his in hers, she placed it on Wildfire's neck, "Donovan Rocker, this is my first love, Wildfire."

Rocker never really been so close to horses, but he always thought that they were beautiful animals, gently rubbing his neck, "He's beautiful." He said looking down at Evie.

Giving him a smile, "Thank you. I was hoping after supper, perhaps I can get you on horse." Hoping that he would at least give it shot. It is something that she loved more than anything else.

Looking at her, Rocker could tell that this was something that she really wanted to share with him, "I'll give it a shot baby." Rubbing the neck of the horse in front of him.

Leaning down, she gave him a quick kiss, "You're the best." Turning back to Wildfire, "I'll see you later boy." Giving him another pat, Evie jumped off the fence, and taking his hand, they turned to find her mother, and father standing on the porch. Looking up at Rocker, "Ready?" she asked, feeling the nerves creep up her body.

Holding on tightly, "Of course." His eyes looking ahead of him, he could see the little blonde woman staring at them with the same intense blue eyes that Evie had, but he did take notice that she didn't have ounce of the red tint that was in Evie's hair. Letting his eyes find the man standing next to her, he was about his height, but he had dark brown hair with matching eyes to match, so that is who Mandy took after.

As they reached her parents, she could see that her daddy was sizing Donovan up, it honestly didn't surprise her, she was her daddy's baby girl, all she was asking for was that he would give him a chance before he tried to intimidate him. Walking up the steps with Donovan next to her, she was enveloped into a big hug by her mama, "I missed you too mama." Stepping back, her daddy pulled her into a big bear hug, "Daddy." She said in chest. They held it a moment, but she knew she didn't want to be rude, stepping back, looking her father in the eyes, "Daddy, this is Sgt. Donovan Rocker, Donovan, this is my father, James Powell."

Extending his hand, this was the most important meeting in his life, if her father didn't hate him, that would make Evie happy, and would allow him to marry her when the time came for it. Making sure to grip it tightly, but not too tight, "Pleasure to meet you sir."

James smirked, the young man had a hell of a grip, good, he didn't want her with a soft man. "You too. Glad you could come out with Cricket." Letting his hand go, he could see that he was a composed man, not easily rattled. So far, he didn't hate him. He'll reserve judgement on his character and get to the know the young man.

"Me too sir, I was glad that I was able to get the time off work, but I knew that meeting you was important to Evie, I'd do anything within my power to make her happy." He did mean that. There wasn't much he wasn't willing to do for her.

Giving him a nod, he looked at his wife, seeing that she was happy with how things were going. Looking over at his little cricket, she was smiling too. That's all he wanted was to see her happy.

Evie felt a lot of pressure lift off her shoulders, "Thank you daddy." Turing towards her mama, "Donovan, you've talked to my mama a few times, but officially this is my mama, Christina Powell. Mama this is Donovan."

Extending his hand again, expecting her take it, but was surprised when she gave him a hug, smiling he gently returned it.

"Oh suga, you're just so adorable, glad to see those dimples up close." Patting his cheek. Stepping back, she could cricket hiding a laugh, "Please come on in, I got some breakfast on the table." Turning on her heel, she looked over her shoulder seeing that everyone was following her.

Looking around, the house was wide open, it was definitely rustic, but had a lot of modern touches, it reminded him of a luxury cabin. Looking at the both of them, "You have a lovely home."

James sat at the head of the table as his wife and daughter went towards the kitchen, pointing the end of the table, "Have a seat young man."

Sitting down where he was told, he looked around, getting an idea of who they were as people, and just like Evie's home, it was filled with family photos, and art.

James let him look around for a moment, but he needed to talk to him before his wife or daughter came back, "Let's cut to the chase," seeing that his eyes were on his he continued, "She's my baby girl, I don't want her hurt, what exactly are your intentions here?" he asked.

Rocker wasn't surprised he went straight for the throat, Evie said her father was a loving man, but he was no nonsense. "Eventually sir, I'd love to marry her. If she'll have me. But for now, I'm happy being with her, in whatever capacity she wants me."

Rubbing his goatee, he could see that he wasn't like that Tommy boy, he was honest, and a hard-working man, "What about your ex-wife, what happened there?" He needed to know if it was something that he done. Or if he was one of those if it get's hard and quit types.

Letting out a sigh, "It's complicated, when Val and I first got together, she showed me one side of her, but after a year or so, when we got engaged she changed, being bossy, demanding, not in a constructive way, but more of a controlling, but I ignored it. After 2 years of constant fighting about my job, which I was doing before we met, a police reform came down the pipeline from the powers that be. Of course, we bitched about it, but needed to vent you know, instead of just supporting me, telling me I have nothing to worry about, she wrote a threatening letter to my captain at SWAT." He could see the shock in his eyes. "I realized at that point; she really wasn't someone I needed. She could have ruined my career, for what, because I vented, there is a difference in having your husbands back, and doing something that could have ended her jail." Pausing to look at him, "I knew it was only a matter of time before she did something else and expected me to deal with. While I would do anything for my family, but break the law, I'm not built like that."

James understood that, family is important, but stepping in when someone is so willing to risk everything, that is dangerous. "You seem like a good man, over the next couple days, we'll talk more where it can be more private, don't bullshit me, I won't bullshit you, and I will give you my blessings for when the time is right." Taking a sip of his sweet tea, "But SWAT officer or not, you break my baby girl's heart, I will kill you. We clear?" he said.

Nodding, "Yes sir." Looking up he could see that Evie and her mother were coming back with their breakfast. Kissing her as she sat down, "Thank you for breakfast Mrs. Powell."

Kissing her husband, "O, suga, you can call me Christina."

Nodding, "Thank you Christina for breakfast." He gave her an award-winning smile.

Breakfast was a nice time, small talk and banter. It was nice to sit around with a loving family, it was something that he didn't too much in his home.

The day passed quickly, and soon it was time for bed, as he wrapped his arms around her, he knew that he'd do everything he could to show her father, and Evie, that he would do what was necessary to prove that he was worthy of her. He wanted this life with her, wanted her to have his name, to have his children. That was the last thought he had before the he fell to sleep.
