Cisco's Powers:

Take Two!

Disclaimer: Part of my 'Hijinks' series and from my understanding, Carlos was originally supposed to have left during or after season 5 and its why they did the whole him getting rid of his powers thing. Something I kinda thought was stupid and even more so when he didn't leave until season 7. So this is kind of a thing that's also a fix-it thing.

At first, when Cisco had taken the Meta-Cure, he'd been happy about it. Having wanted to be normal again and not be or be like Barry and just generally enjoy life as a normal guy again. Especially with Kamilla now being in his life. But as time went on, Cisco hadn't expected to find himself actually missing the Powers as a part of him felt… Empty. It had also made him realize he didn't need to be or be like Barry to be his own Hero and when the Monitor restored his Powers during Crisis? At first he wasn't exactly enthused as it'd been against his will but he did end up being pretty happy and relieved to have them again. Especially once he realized he still had them after Crisis was over with. But with the return of his Powers came that empty feeling again as one aspect of his Powers were gone. The ability to feel, see into, and travel to alternate Universes and the people in them. Now with Earth-Prime being a thing, it had let him not focus too much on that as there was new stuff to see and explore and so he sat out to do exactly that. Said journey would even take him to Freeland where Jefferson Pierce and his Family live at one point as well.

The opportunity to talk with Gambi had been a pretty fun and even educational experience for Cisco. Since like him, the man is his Team's Tailor/Guide/Etcera and since Cisco had been among the few to remember the original Multiverse, he'd been able to back Jefferson and Jennifer's claims. That Jennifer herself had actually lost her body but not her mind during the Crisis had been a wild thing for Cisco as well and wondered if there might be any repercussions in the future where that was concerned. Eventually, Cisco's travels brought him back to Central City but a part of him felt discontent with that as he felt like he was right back to where he started and hadn't really changed much while everyone else clearly was doing so. And when the Strength, Sage, and Still Forces decided to inhabit bodies on Earth instead of just taking a form like the Speed Force does and that went a little haywire until Barry and Iris helped deal with the situation, Cisco even found it amusing that Bashir started to refer to them as Mom and Dad in a somewhat mocking fashion.

Cisco also wasn't too surprised when word got out about what Kristen Kramer and by extension, the Governor were wanting to do and how that all caused a huge backlash. Putting a big target on both of their backs and when Lyla got wind of what Kramer was trying to get done through ARGUS, she put her foot down on it much to Kramer's dislike as thanks to the Legends' experiences through Time Travel, the Director was more than aware of the potential for how bad that path could lead while Frost made History and none of the team made the dumb move to try and be more involved than they should be while she did her day in Court. And since it was rather obvious Kramer had some kind of vendetta, the Judge presiding over Frost's situation had flat out told her she needed to deal with her issues in a more healthy way than pulling the nonsense she was doing much to Kramer's annoyance. Now when ARGUS came calling Cisco with an offer to join them, he saw the opportunity for what it was and together with Kamilla, made the big move to Star City to begin a new chapter in their lives.

Though later on after the whole ordeal with the Godspeed War, Cisco would consider it to be one Hell of a case of Karma when word came down that Kramer's a Meta herself. And he knew that when that particular word got out on the street, it'd cause even more issues as that woman had made herself no friends among the Meta-Community. But only time would tell though.

Author's Notes: I'm really surprised there wasn't more of a reaction to Kramer/the Governor's plans where the Meta-Population was concerned so I touched on it here.
