The campfire was burning slowly as sparks danced in the darkness of the underdark keeping the party warm.
Aerie the avariel had her spellbook open and was studying for the next day. Her hands where trembling a little. She turned the next page but she was unable to concentrate anymore. She was to nervous. She put the book aside and covered her face with her hands.
The beautiful avariel left a sigh.
The Bhaalspawn Earu a blond fighter with half of her face painted purple so she could look more scary was keeping watch for the night and was sharpening her sword with her wettstone at the same time, stopt what she was doing, lift her head and said
"What is it my friend? What's the matter? Are you tired?"
The elf showed her face shyly.
"I 'm sorry Earu I... I 'm quite nervous for being here. The Underdark is a dangerous place and most certainly not for the avariel..." she said and looked around with fear in her beautiful blue eyes.
"Yes but think about the stories that will be told and the songs that will be sung full of honor and glory about Minsc and Boo and you my friends" said the ranger with absolute confidence where he was lying nearby.
"Yes but we have to survive first do we not? Don't forget we have the lair of the beholder ahead of as and that is no small task to do my brave friend." Said the fighter/druid Jaheira with her sharp tongue, who also did not sleep.
"Don't you worry, Minsc and Boo will be there to protect you! especially you my witch!" He stood up and placed his hand on Aeries shoulder, that made her blush "th-thank you Minsc, you are too kind... but I am strong enough to protect myself." Came the answer as she placed her hand on his.
"Oh my what do we have here hm? Maybe we sould tell Haer'Dalis to write a ballad?"commented the druid.
"That won't be necessary thank you very much! And try to think about him and Imoen who are sleeping right now." Protested the elf.
"Oh don't worry I can tell him wen he wakes up."

"My friends that's enough. We need to rest for the upcoming battle." Said Earu. "Jaheira and Minsc try to get some sleep, Aerie you will stay with me and keep watch, you have studied enough for tonight." Came the orders from the leader of the group and everyone did as they were told.
