At Zelena's farmhouse, Zelena had taken Ellie into the barn, where she had already set up the time travel spell that she was planning. Everything was all set, and she just now needed Ellie. Zelena looked down at Ellie as she placed her down on her spot. "Nothing more innocent than a baby," Zelena told her. "And you, my sweet, are the most innocent of all. The product of the truest love."
She walked towards the centre of the circular pattern drawn on the dirt ground and looked at everything. A heart. A brain. A symbol of courage. A symbol of innocence.
She raised her arms and began the spell. When she did, beams of light extended from each item and swirled around towards the circle's centre. There was white light from Ellie, orange light from the brain, yellow light from David's sword, and red light from Regina's heart. Zelena looked at the bright light that was created at the centre. Now, it was time. "Soon, this will be all over," she mused.
But, she hadn't realised that David, Regina, Emma, Robin, the Professor and Clara had arrived at her farmhouse and entered the barn.
"It isn't over yet," David called out.
Zelena turned around. "And who's gonna stop me?" she asked. "Certainly not the Saviour."
The Professor looked at the portal and spotted his daughter. Emma noticed. "Go," she told him and Clara. "Get her. We've got your back."
"And I've got your heart," Robin told Regina.
The Professor and Clara began to move slowly around the circle, and so did Robin and David, in the other direction. They were careful of any traps or flying monkeys that Zelena may have already prepared.
"Zelena, stop now," Regina ordered. "We're not gonna let you succeed."
Zelena laughed and smirked at the idea that they would stop her. Instead, she saw Robin and David creep around the side, and she pushed them back into the hay bales behind them. She then saw Emma and magically threw her gun out of her hand.
"Come for another beating, sis?" Zelena asked.
"No. I came for some jewellery," Regina stated. She reached out to grab Zelena's necklace, but Zelena threw Regina away.
Zelena then looked up at the rafters of the barn. "Beautiful one, if you will?" she asked a flying monkey, and it flew down and began to attack the Professor and Clara.
"Behind me," the Professor said, taking out the Dark One dagger he still carried in his coat pocket and swinging it at the winged creature.
"Remember, these creatures are our friends!" Robin called out as another flying monkey swooped in to attack him and David.
"This isn't my first rodeo," the Professor said.
Zelena glared at Regina, who had stood up again, and used her right hand to magically grab her in the air by the throat – like she was Darth Vader. "Only light magic can harm me," Zelena stated. "And you're as dark as they come. It was your destiny to be this way. And it will also be your undoing."
"Don't tell me what I can be," Regina choked out.
Zelena laughed. But she was too focused on Regina now, so Robin, Clara and the Professor took their chances. The Professor and Clara to Ellie, and Robin to Regina's heart.
"I tried to be good once," Zelena began. "But it wasn't in the cards. So this is who I am, and it's who you are!"
"You're wrong, sis," Regina said as she saw Robin pick up her heart (and Clara pick up her daughter). She uncurled her hands, and they glowed bright white in the middle – light magic.
Zelena looked up at her, horrified. "What are you doing?" she asked.
Regina was unsure. She hadn't done anything like this before. "Changing," she answered, and beams of white light hit Zelena, knocking her to the ground and causing her to lose her focus. Just enough for Regina to break free of Zelena's magical hold.
"How?" Zelena asked from her spot on the ground.
"I make my own destiny," Regina answered as she reached out and pulled off Zelena's green necklace. When she did, green light hovered over Zelena and dissipated off into the air. Zelena was now powerless of magic, and the time travel spell stopped.
The flying monkey came back again and swooped towards David, who dodged it with his sword. Be took another aim at the flying monkey before a whirl of green smoke overcame it, and Little John was in its place. He was back to being a human again. David put his sword back in its holster.
"Little John, you're back!" Robin commented.
"Professor, Clara … Is Ellie okay?" Emma asked.
The Professor looked down at Ellie and nodded. "Yeah. She is. She's tough, just like her family."
Regina turned back to her sister. "You failed," she told her. "You're not going anywhere."
"I beg to differ," came Mr Gold's voice. Everyone looked at the door entrance and saw that he had arrived. He looked at Zelena before he magically pulled her to him. Then, he watched as he dragged her along the ground with his magic. "I will make you pay for everything you've done to me. To my family."
Zelena came to a stop by his feet. "What are you waiting for?" she asked him. "Just do it!"
"With pleasure," Mr Gold said and leaned in to reach into Zelena's chest.
"No!" the Professor said, holding out Mr Gold's dagger. "We won't kill." He approached his friend.
"After everything this witch has done to you, you're gonna protect her?" "Good magic stopped her," Regina told her former teacher.
"She's right," the Professor agreed. "Light magic doesn't exact vengeance."
"She killed my son," Mr Gold snarled.
"She did. But there are other ways she can pay the price for it. Death is not one of them. How many dark deeds have you done over the years, Rumple? You are a good man. Under all those layers of darkness, there is a good man in there. I can see it. Belle can see it. Why not just let him come through? Show everyone who you really are?"
"Heroes don't kill," Regina added.
Zelena looked up at her younger sister. "So, now, you're a hero?" she asked. Regina smiled. "Today I am."
