When Mack leaves the Great Hall with Fabian Prewett, I get a feeling of anger and jealousy which I can't understand
Mack is basically my sister and my best mate's sister most importantly
And James is still staring at the doors to the Great Hall with obvious shock, rage, and confusion
We were just trying to protect her but Moony was right as usual and we came on a little bit too strong
But now she's off with Prewett #2, probably snogging in some broom closet
Or even worse shagging in a broom closet
Or ever worse than worse, shagging in the Dorms
Or maybe in an empty classroom
Or the Astronomy Tower
Or the Room of Requirement

Bloody hell, she is going to be the death of me
When I drag Fab out of there with me I was only expecting to talk to him and we did
Ok maybe there was a little bit of snogging
I bring us to an empty classroom on the third floor
"Hey Fab, sorry I didn't mean to make assumptions or anything when I dragged you out of there and I didn't kiss you just to piss the hell out of my brother, although it was a bonus, you are really sweet and you play quidditch and you like me so that's a plus and I like you too and now I'm rambling, you can stop me anytime you know, I can be really annoying and it gets me in some ser-"
Fab cuts me off by kissing me and I kiss him back and we only stop to breathe
"Well that's definitely a way to shut me up" I say breathlessly
"Yeah you do ramble quite a lot, huh?"
"Oh shut it, Prewett" I smack his chest
"Well, I really like you, like a lot and you play quidditch and you're a total badass, and you're hot, and I could keep going but then I would look like a lovesick idiot so I'm going to-"
I cut him off by kissing him
"Well looks like this is a good way to get both of us to shut up" I say cheekily
"Yeah, sure seems like it" He laughs
"So-"
"So- I know we have your brother and your other friends to worry about so if I ask them if it's okay to date you and they all say yes, I'll ask you out"
"Well what a gentleman you are Fabian Prewett"
"Yes well, Potter and Black will for sure beat me up"
"Your forgetting about Alice, Marlene, Mary, and Lily...I know for a fact that they could and would take you, I can't say anything about Pete but Remus might get violent for once in his life"
Fab gulps and kisses me one more time as it seems it is time for class
"Ugh, I didn't even get to eat any toast and of course I have Potions first and Slughorn is so annoying with his stupid mustache and-"
Fabian kisses me again and hands me some toast
"You look like you need it more than me" He winks and walks out of the classroom
"No, get back here! I didn't even get a chance to deliver a snarky comment back! Hey Fab, get your ass back here! I'm not kidding! Ugh fine I guess I'll walk to the dungeons all by myself..."
That gets his attention and he walks with me to Potions
"Shut up, that did nothing!" Fab points at me and I laugh
"I didn't even say anything, Fab"
"But you were about to, I could tell!"
"Fine, fine, whatever... don't give me the satisfaction of winning"
"You did not win anything!"
"Potter: 1 Prewett: 0"
"That is not fair! I was just trying to be a good boyfriend!"
"And look where it got you, me winning!"
"Shut up and let me walk you to Professor Mustache's class" He grumbles and I laugh at the nickname
"Oh I'm so using that now, please tell me you've said that to his face"
"Maybe" He smirks
"Oh Merlin, wait until I tell Marlene, she hates him almost as much as I do"
We eventually get to the dungeons and surprisingly not late
"Bye Fab, thanks for walking me to class and good luck with those signatures"
I give him a pat on the cheek and then kiss him goodbye
When I walk in, all of my friends are already there
Frank and Alice are sitting together so that's a bust
Mary and Benjy are sitting together too, ugh couples
Lily is with Snape and why she still tolerates him, I will never know
Peter and Remus are together because Peter is dreadful in this class
James is sitting with Marlene which means that Sluggy separated James and Sirius
So that leaves me with Sirius
I catch his eyes and he smirks at me
Oh great, this lesson will be great, super great, beyond great...
"Ms. Potter, I have had to move Mr. Black away from Mr. Potter, so I do hope that it will not cause too much trouble"
"Of course not Professor, I will let you know if the separation anxiety gets to be too much because we all know what happens when they aren't together for a long period of time"
James and Sirius stare at me like I just told them Zonkos is closing and our friends all started laughing
"That we do Ms. Potter, that we do" Slughorn smiles and walks to his desk to start his lesson
"We do not have separation anxiety!" They both exclaim together
"I love you both but yeah, you really do"
"Fine, you wanna see separation anxiety! I'll give you separation anxiety"
"Merlin give me strength" I mutter "That wasn't a challenge you ass"
"Well I think that it was a challenge, right Prongs?"
"Right, Padfoot!"
"What have I done" I shake my head and look at Remus who only shakes his head at me while smirking
"Don't give me that look, Moons!"
"You're the one that caused this, Mack"
"Oh shut it, with your rightness, and not being helpful to your best friend that is about to be put in the middle of something that she didn't want"
"Prongs! How's the weather over there?" Sirius yells
"It's quite cold, Padfoot, without your lovely smile to light up the room! Oh the wind in quite vicious today, it just slapped me across the face"
The wind was Marlene
"It's quite cold and it seems the wind has traveled over here as well"
He was referring to me just having hit the back of his head
"Prongs, I miss you so much! You are so much better than your sister"
"Good Godric, just shut up already!" I yell
"Professor, I think Mack has some anger issues, maybe you should give her a detention for yelling out in class"
"Mr. Black I think you will find that Mr. Potter and yourself will have detention with me tonight at 8 and thank you Ms. Potter for shutting them up"
"You're very welcome sir, it is my greatest joy in the world to shut up these idiots, and let me tell you, I have a lot of joy in my life"
"Yes, Ms. Potter, I'm sure you do... Now on with our lesson!"
After the dreadful double Potions lesson with Slughorn, it was time for Transfiguration, which always cheers me up to see Minnie
When we get into the Corridor, the girls drag me ahead of the boys by a couple of feet
"Well, what happened with Fabian Prewett?" Alice asks
"Desperate for gossip much, Al" I laugh
"Oh shut it you, I barely hear any gossip"
"Probably because you are always with Frank" Marlene points out
Alice blushes but still looks to me for gossip
I turn towards the boys who all look at everything but me as it seems that they were trying to pretend to not be eavesdropping on us
"Well, so much to unpack there... 1. Try to be a little less obvious boys, yeah and 2. Frank how do you ever say no to Alice"
Frank just laughs
"Did she give you the face"
"She fucking did and I can't say no to that, it would be like kicking a puppy, although there is one puppy that I would like to kick..." I glance at Sirius and he looks deeply offended
"Sirius, I was only joking... a little"
All of our friends laughed, I should also mention that all of our friends know about Remus' "furry little problem" and the boys being Animagi
They're are fine with Remus and I can tell that he really doesn't feel like he deserves us, but he does
"For Merlin's sake Mack, stop changing the subject and answer the bloody question!" Lily yells
"Merlin Evans, I didn't know you had it in you" Sirius looks at Lily, looking slightly impressed
Lily blushes and us girls turn back around
"Sorry Mack, but seriously-shut up Black- what happened with Fabian?"
"Well, we talked, snogged a little bit, he said that he really likes me and will get everyone's approval before asking me out properly"
"Aw, that's so sweet!" Mary exclaims
"I know right! Honestly, if only all guys were like that"
"If only" Lily, Alice, Mary, Marlene, and I all sigh together
"Oi" The boys all yell but we ignore them
"Oh sod off Alice, you're lucky you have Frank, honestly if you weren't dating, I honestly would have shagged him by now, Benjy too" Marlene rolls her eyes
"Oh for sure"
"Definitely, although for Benjy, I have to say been there done that"
"Oi" Alice and Mary exclaim
"What, it's true" I say looking smug
"Get over it, your boyfriends are hot, so what did you and Prewett talk about?" Marlene asks turning to me
I replay our whole conversation and they all squeal in excitement for me
"I know!" I exclaim as we make it to Transfiguration
"Good morning everyone, I will be doing a lecture and we will be taking notes for today"
Everyone else calls out "Good morning, Professor" while James, Sirius, and I all yell out "Good morning, Minnie"
McGonagall looks at us with a pained expression on her face and sighs deeply
I swear I can hear her mumble along the lines of "Only two years until they are gone" under her breath
"Okay, let's begin..."
Transfiguration is super boring because we have to sit through a lecture
I mean we aren't even using magic
I am sitting there completely bored when a piece of parchment hits me in the back of the head
I turn around and see Sirius grinning at me
I check to see if Minnie is watching and then flip him off
He inaudibly gasps and clutches his chest in false hurt
I roll my eyes and open the note:
Mack, I'm bored
Me too you wanker but you didn't have to hit me in the head to get my attention

"Would you like to share with the class what you were writing?"
"Not really Professor, it was rather private"
"Well I will be the judge of that"
Minnie takes the parchment out of Remus' hands and opens her mouth to read it out loud but decides against it once she glances over it
She turns to us trying not to smile and we are all looking sheepish
"Mr. Potter, Mr. Black, Mr. Lupin, and Ms. Potter if you would all please stay after class"
We all groan and it wakes Peter up
"And take Mr. Pettigrew, he looks far too happy over there..."
We walk out of class after talking with Minnie and Fabian is waiting outside for me
"Hey Fab, what's up?"
"I just wanted to walk you to lunch"
"Well thanks, bye boys"
Sirius stares after her with his eyes burning holes into Fabian Prewetts back as he walked Mack to lunch
