This story is about a unicorn named Mario Star, who's a jack-of-all-trades and a martial artist and a former human/current unicorn named Elijah/Comet Stardust. Now, Mario will know all about friendship and possibly win Twilight's heart while Comet will have a new family and know the meaning of life.

16. Visiting the Princesses

This is the 16th chapter. Before I could start the 'Swarm of the Century', I'm adding this chapter where Shining Armor get to spend some time with Comet Stardust for a few days in Canterlot. And where Comet Stardust gets to meet Princess Cadence since she wants to get to know the little colt.

I don't own the series of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Visiting the Princesses

Few days later since Zecora have gotten to know the ponies in Ponyville, Comet was learning how to make remedies and medicine from the zebra since he told her of his heritage between Italian from his mother side and Native American from his father side. Zecora was curious of his ancestors which Comet told her that his old mother, Mary, was born from Italy and work as a waitress from the cafe from Brooklyn, New York and helping her works cook. He also told her his old father, Chris, was a Native American of the Powhatan tribe from Virgina which also known as 'river warriors'. Zecora couldn't help but feel surprised of his old family history and how he was able to remember the history of his ancestors, impressed of Comet learning so quickly of making medicines and remedies.

Zecora was also sad to hear that Comet ran away from home after the heated argument between his old parents and the Italian Mafia and sacrificed himself for saving his friend from the gang members in his old world, which the cost is being shot.

Apple Shine told Zecora about herself, told her that she was born and raised in Houston, Texas at the ranch with her family. Zecora can tell the Texan filly lived in a happy life while helping her family doing the chores, like the Apple family, Apple Shine is the hard-working filly and outgoing. Zecora was also sad to hear that Apple Shine was bit by a timber rattlesnake after hearing the Tropical Storm about to hit her old home in her old world.

After Zecora learned their backstory, she can tell that Comet lived in a hard life in the streets and endured hardships, and that Apple Shine lived an outgoing life that didn't last for long because of the storm and the poisonous snake just killed the Texan filly. Even though, the two foals were happy living in Equestria because they deserve a second chance to live which Zecora was glad that Comet and Apple Shine have the love of their family and a good life.

Now in Canterlot, Shining Armor is taking a few days off after given Princess Celestia and Princess Luna permission and having the Vice-Captain take over. He's living in his old home, arranging the photos that Twilight Sparkle have sent a few days. Most of them were up at the mantle and it shows the photo of Comet next to his mother, his grandparents, and Shining Armor in Canterlot. The second photo of Comet next to Twilight, Mario, and Spike at the Golden Oak Library. And the third photo of Comet next to the Mane 7.

"In a few days, I get to spend some time with you, Comet." Shining Armor said with a smile, looking at the photos.

"Spending time with who, Shining?"

It got Shining Armor yelped in surprise as he turns around, saw none other than Princess Cadence.

Like the two Princesses, Cadence is an alicorn. She had a pale light grayish cerise fur coat with light purple feather tips, moderate violet mane and tail with moderate rose and pale gold streaks, and light purple eyes. Her cutie mark was a multifaceted light blue crystal heart between gold laces.

"Well, I mean...uh..." Shining stuttered nervously which it got Princess Cadence suspicious.

"Shining Armor, what are you hiding?" Princess Cadence asks.

Shining Armor was suddenly alarmed that Princess Cadence noticed his secret, so he tried to find a good answer and come up with a reply for it.

"Well, Cadence, you see, I got a few days off and...I'm about to spend some time with Comet Stardust." Shining Armor explains, leaving Princess Cadence surprised as he showed to photos to her. "Comet Stardust is my nephew, and he's also Twilight's son."

"She...She had a son?!" Princess Cadence exclaims. "How?!"

"Well..."

Shining Armor then gives Princess Cadence an explanation as to why would Twilight Sparkle had Comet Stardust as her son which to her, it's unheard of.

After Shining Armor giving Princess Cadence an explanation, she was shocked and concerned for Comet's previous hard life as a human from another world and died from a crossfire, after saving his old friend from gang members, and Twilight experienced his arrival.

"So let me get this straight." Princess Cadence said. "You've been meaning to tell me that Twilight went to get a book she accidentally dropped back. She then saw a dark tunnel hidden somewhere in the forest, leading to an underground maze. She went to explore it, found a Maternity Flower and got sprayed in the face. That pollen made her pregnant, making a process go in seconds instead of months, and give birth to a colt, who has a dying wish for a better life?"

"Believe me, I find it hard to believe too when Twily told me." Shining Armor said. "I even jump to conclusions when I thought Mario eloped with her behind our backs and got her pregnant."

"Mario would never do something like that, not without even telling us." Princess Cadence points out. "But still, it's a lot to take in after what you told me."

"I know." Shining Armor agrees. "But after hearing Twilight decided to take Comet in as her own, I'm feeling proud of my little sis for wanting to take the initiative. Although...it feels like she's doing things out of order."

"I know." Princess Cadence said, agrees. "But as you said, Comet needs a loving family. If Twilight is going to do it, then we'll just have to support her."

Shining Armor nods with an agreement, even though Twilight is doing very well of taking care of Comet and giving him the love he needs, according to the letters he read.

"So, what does he look like?" Cadence asks, smiled.

Shining Armor then use his magic, levitating the picture and showed it to Cadence.

"He looked like this." Shining Armor answered, showing the image of Comet which, it got her gasp with her eyes widen.

"Aww~! He's so precious and adorable." Princess Cadence said with a smile, looking at the photo. "He got the same fur coat, like Twilight. And he's got similar color of his mane, like yours. After what Aunt Celestia and Aunt Luna told me about him, I thought they're exaggerating."

"Well, it was unheard for having the same color as any pony else." Shining Armor said with a chuckle. "But like Twilight, I just got used to it."

"Well since we both have some time off; we could spend some time together with the little colt." Princess Cadence suggests. "And I really like to get to know Comet."

Shining Armor couldn't help but chuckle a bit, knew Princess Cadence took it well after he told her about Comet Stardust. At first, Princess Cadence was shocked when she learned that Twilight Sparkle had a son because of the magical labor, sad that Comet had a hard life and died when he was once a human from another world, and happy that Comet is holding up well in Ponyville and being loved by his mother. Princess Cadence is also charmed by the little colt and hoping she could get to know Comet a little better.

And with that being settled, Shining Armor decided to deliver a message for his sister, letting her know that he got a couple of days off and wanted to spend some time with his nephew.

In Ponyville, Comet was doing his morning training with Wild Heart, practicing his tomahawks along with the kata. Mario and Apple Bloom can tell how much the little colt practiced which he was able to memorize the katas during his spare time away from the Golden Oak Library and where he can also practice with his godfather. Mario was impressed of how much Comet progressed in between magic and martial arts, noticed of how much muscles the little colt is developing. Wild Heart was also impressed of Comet, listen to the spirits of the wild, learning of tracking and hunting, and how to navigate through between the forest and the rivers which normally because of the Native American heritage.

However, Comet is still learning and had a long way to go, but he's a quick learner.

Apple Bloom couldn't help but feel awed of Comet's form in martial arts and the way how he wields a tomahawk. But that's not the only thing, she was staring at Comet's physical appearance which she can tell of how much muscles he's getting, only a little due to the age. Mario turns to his sister, shook his head with a chuckle and can tell what was going on with her.

Soon as Comet and Wild Heart finished the kata, he spoke.

"Well done, Comet. You've been practicing during your time here and the past few weeks." Wild Heart praises him. "You're getting better in magic and martial arts."

"Thank you, Wild Heart." Comet said with a smile.

"But, you still have long ways to go, Comet Stardust." Wild Heart told him. "Even if you're able to utilize your fighting style with magic, you still have a lot to learn of becoming one with the spirits of nature."

"He's right, Comet." Mario said, approaches his godson. "And you're still young, but you are getting stronger because of not just your physical strength, but also your magic."

Comet is aware of what the two are telling him, but still learning. As Comet and Wild Heart were about to continue the training, Spike and Twilight rushed to Wild Heart's home, with a letter on the dragon's claw.

"Comet." Twilight called her son, but noticed that he was about to continue the morning training. "Um, sorry, am I interrupting?"

"We were about to do a morning spar, but since you're here, I'll have to put the training on hold for now." Wild Heart suggests, turns to Twilight. "Is something the matter?"

"Well, no trouble in Ponyville, Wild Heart. I've just got a letter from Shining Armor." Twilight answered.

"What does it say, Twilight?" Mario asks.

Twilight then uses her magic, levitating a letter from Spike's claw as she opens it and began to read aloud.

Dear Twilight Sparkle,

This is your brother writing to you about what I have been up to in Canterlot. I've got a couple of days off as Captain of the Royal Guard and I have some pony else take care of it for me since I've got permission from Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Ever since I've got your letters about Comet's behavior and the photos you've sent for me, Mom, and Dad, I was wondering if I can spend some time with my nephew. Also, Princess Cadence is here in Canterlot and she wish to see him after I give her an explanation about you having a son. If Comet decides to come and wish to see me, the royal crest on the letter will allow him to enter the royal palace to meet Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, which they also wish to see him, too. I hope you respond and hoping to see him soon.

Shining Armor

When Twilight finished reading the letter, they saw the royal crest at the bottom of the letter which it surprised them.

"So, Uncle Shining Armor wanted to spend some time with me, and I was invited at the royal palace?" Comet asks curiously.

"Of course, and by the looks of it, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna will be thrilled to see you." Twilight answered with a smile. "And Shining Armor would love to spend some time with you."

"Well by the sound of it, he was really eager to spend some quality time with Comet." Mario adds.

"Yes, Shining Armor is probably wondering how Comet is behaving." Wild Heart adds, turns to Comet. "Comet, I'll have to put this training on hold for a few days."

"I understand." Comet replied. "But how am I going to get there? Last time I've been there, it was at the chariot."

"There's a train at Ponyville train station." Apple Bloom said. "You can use it to get there in Canterlot."

"We'll take you to the train station and buy a ticket so you can get to Canterlot." Mario suggests. "But first, I think it's time for you to get a bath."

Mario and Apple Bloom then return to Sweet Apple Acres to get the chores finished while Wild Heart decided to head on home. Twilight, Spike, and Comet does the same by heading back to the Golden Oak Library so he can get bath and some breakfast before heading to Canterlot.

Few hours later, Comet packed a few things for the trip to Canterlot. After he got everything he needs, Twilight escorted him to the train station, and he was currently waiting to board the train to Canterlot.

"Have a great time, Comet." Twilight said with a smile, nuzzled his cheek. "Tell me everything about it when you come back. And bring back a souvenir when you're there?"

"I will, Mom." Comet replied as he hugged his mother.

"When you visit Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, please send my regards to the both of them." Twilight suggests.

"Sure." Comet said.

The train whistle then blows, signaling that it was about to leave.

"Well, I guess I've got to go." Comet said. "I'll see you soon, Mom."

"Bye, sweetheart." Twilight said, kissed his forehead.

Comet got onto the train as the door closes and began to move. Comet stuck his head out of a window and waved his mother goodbye as Twilight waved back until he lost sight of her. He sat back down in a seat and looked up in the air pondering about his visit with the rest of his family and the princesses.

'I can't wait to see my grandparents and Uncle Shining Armor again. They haven't seen me ever since I made peace with my old family.' Comet mentally thought with a smile. 'But still, I wonder what Princess Cadence character looks like?'

It took a while, but the train finally arrived to Canterlot. When Comet got off the train, he saw Shining Armor waiting for him at the train station.

"Uncle Shining!" Comet called him, ran towards him and hugged him.

"Comet, it's good to see you, little buddy." Shining Armor said with a smile, hugged him back. "How's the trip, kid?"

"It was amazing." Comet answered. "Thanks for the invite."

"You're welcome." Shining Armor said. "Hey since you're here, how about I take you to the royal castle? Princess Celestia and Princess Luna would want to hear about your time in Ponyville."

Comet nods with a smile, as Shining Armor and Comet heads out of the train station.

When Comet and Shining Armor entered the city, he sees many ponies walking by different types which most of them being high-class nobles.

"Last time I'm here, I was with Mom, her friends, and my grandparents." Comet said, looking at the ponies. "But they...they're acting like their important."

"That's because they're nobles, Comet." Shining Armor explains. "This city is filled with high-society ponies, basically filled with stuck-up snobs. Better stay close so you won't get lost."

Comet does that by staying close with his uncle while walking across Canterlot. Some ponies were curious of Comet Stardust, but some of them find the little colt adorable. Some took pictures of him from afar which he noticed, but feeling uncomfortable as they kept on walking towards the castle. However, both Night Light and Twilight Velvet noticed their grandson and Shining Armor were walking towards the castle which Comet noticed them.

"Grandma! Grandpa!" Comet called his grandparents, running towards them.

"Comet, it's so wonderful to see you again." Twilight Velvet said with a smile, hugged her grandson.

"How are you, Comet? We haven't heard from you since you came here." Night Light asks.

"I'm doing great, Grandpa." Comet answered. "But we have a new pony from Ponyville."

"Really? Who?" Night Light asks.

"Her name is Apple Shine, but her former name is Emily." Comet explains. "Like me, she was once a human from another world."

Night Light and Twilight Velvet were shocked of hearing about Apple Shine, who was once a human called Emily from Houston, Texas.

"Did Twilight get into those flowers again?" Twilight Velvet asks.

"Not this time, no. One of Twilight's friends, Applejack, got into those Maternity flowers a month ago." Shining Armor explains. "Mario was planning to seal the entrance that led to the stone maze filled with flowers, but Applejack just accidentally got too close to that flower."

That got both Twilight Velvet and Night Light surprised when Comet gives them an explanation about Apple Shine. But after he finished an explanation, Twilight Velvet and Night Light were sad to hear of Apple Shine's death as a human from Texas, but happy that she's accepting of living in Equestria after the closure.

"Well, I'm just glad Apple Shine is holding up alright." Twilight Velvet said, decided to change the subject. "So, where's your mother?"

"She's staying at the library in Ponyville, so I can get to spend some time with Comet since I've got a couple of days off." Shining Armor explains. "Also, we're planning to have a visit with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna at the castle."

"Well in that case, why don't we go together as family?" Twilight Velvet suggests. "We were planning to go somewhere, but since Comet is here, we've got the to spend some time with him."

"Can they come with us?" Comet asks, hoping to spend some time with his grandparents.

"Of course, the more the merrier." Shining Armor answered. "Come on, I'm sure Princess Celestia and Princess Luna would like to hear about you and Apple Shine."

And with that, Twilight Velvet and Night followed Shining Armor and Comet Stardust as they head to the castle. The royal guards let them pass and enter the castle, after Comet showed the royal crest. Shining Armor decided to tell Comet about Princess Cadence since he wants it to be a surprise.

"Comet." Shining Armor called him, earned his attention. "There is something you should know."

"What is it?" Comet asks.

"It's about Princess Cadence. Like Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, she's an alicorn and she's also a Co-Ruler of Equestria." Shining Armor explains, leaving Comet surprised. "Also, she's my fiancé."

"Wait, you two are engaged?" Comet asks.

"That's right." Shining Armor answered. "Plus, she's also Twilight's old foal-sitter."

It got Comet surprised since Twilight didn't tell him about and now, Shining Armor is telling him.

"Mom didn't mention about her being a foal-sitter or you engaged to the princess." Comet points out, causing Shining Armor and his grandparents chuckled.

"It makes sense since your mother always focused on her studies and books." Night Light said.

"And trust us, Twilight was like that too when she was around your age." Twilight Velvet adds, leaving Comet confused. "After Twilight got her cutie mark, she became Princess Celestia's pupil back in Canterlot."

"Twily was like that before she came to Ponyville. She would always focus more on her studies, and she became more isolated with Spike." Shining Armor adds.

"Wow, and here I thought my life was bad, back in New York." Comet said surprisingly, leaving his family laughed a little. "But, did she even try to make friends here?"

"Besides Spike and Cadence? No, not a single one." Shining Armor answered. "But after I saw her friends in Ponyville, I was relieved to see she finally made some friends. Then, you came along."

"Me?" Comet asks.

"Yeah, since the day Twilight gave birth due to the magical labor and what we've learned from you, you somehow changed her life. She had come to love and care about you more than anypony else." Shining Armor told his nephew with a smile. "You've also held a special place in her heart, and she loved you more than anything."

"Twilight keep sending us letters about you and the photos, we were so happy for her." Twilight Velvet adds. "And we were glad that you enjoyed your new life in Ponyville."

"Also, Shining Armor is planning to tell Princess Cadence about Twilight having a son, which we were hoping she takes it well." Night Light said.

"And speaking of which, Cadence is really looking forward to meet you, after I give her an explanation." Shining Armor told his nephew. "Though, she was shocked and surprised of Twily having a son and you as a former human from another world at first, but she's taking it well after I showed her the photo."

Comet was surprised that Princess Cadence is taking it well when Shining Armor explains to her yesterday.

"What was she like?" Comet asks.

"Cadence? Hmm...Let me think." Shining Armor pondered. "Actually, Cadence is caring, kind, and helpful to every pony. And she also uses her magic to spread love, preventing the relationship to ruin."

"Love spell? Wasn't like forcing ponies to love?" Comet asks, skeptically. "Because it just doesn't feel right."

"No, nothing like that." Shining Armor said with chuckle. "What I mean to say is, when ponies were about to break the relationship, Cadance uses her magic to spread love in order to prevent that from happening."

Comet was more confused but decided not to argue over about love since he's still too young to know that.

After Shining Armor guided his family to the throne room, one of the servants told them to wait since both the princesses were having a discussion with a noble. It took a few minutes, but Shining Armor and his family was then called by the servant to enter the throne room. When they enter the throne room, they saw Princess Celestia sitting on the throne with gold details and Princess Luna on a throne with blue details.

One thing that Comet noticed was that Princess Luna was back to her original form as her mane was flowing similar to Princess Celestia's, meaning her powers have returned. When both the princesses see Comet Stardust, they had excited looks on their faces. After the servant made an announcement, Princess Celestia gestures for him to leave which he does and left, leaving Comet, his family, and the princesses alone.

"Princess Celestia! Princess Luna! It's great to see you again." Comet said with a smile.

"Indeed it is, Comet." Princess Celestia agrees as she and Princess Luna walked down to hug the little colt which he returned. "The last we were able to meet you was at the Golden Oak Library after your mother gave birth to you."

"And here in Canterlot to give you a closure, to see your old family one last time." Princess Luna adds.

"I see. Uncle Shining invited me here, after telling Mom he got a few days off and wanted to spend some time with me." Comet explains.

"And I'm glad I did give Shining Armor a few days off, and now I see your uncle and your grandparents together." Princess Celestia said, leaned down and kissed his forehead. "How have things been for you in Ponyville?"

"Very well. In fact, Apple Shine is accepting her new life in Ponyville." Comet explains. "Mom and Mario saved Ponyville from getting destroyed by an Ursa Minor, after I helped it calm down when I listen to the spirits of the wild."

"It seems Wild Heart have taught you well of the spirits of nature." Princess Luna states.

"I'm still learning." Comet said with a smile. "Zecora taught me how to make remedies and medicines. Even Mario taught me how to pounce."

"Mario taught you how to pounce? Has he now?" Shining Armor asks with a chuckle, earned a nod from his nephew. "I remember when Mario pounced on some pony once, it got me laugh."

"Indeed, Mario did try pouncing on me once, but I was always ahead of him." Princess Celestia said with a giggle, decided to change the subject. "Well, that aside, how is Twilight?"

"She's doing alright, besides studying in those books at the library." Comet answered.

"I'm not surprised, considering your mother is my student and she always focused on studying than spend time with friends." Princess Celestia said with a sigh. "But that changed when you came along."

"Indeed, Twilight had changed a little when she had you as her son." Princess Luna agrees with a smile. "When she was sending those letters, we were surprised that you were trying to follow Zecora. It was obvious that she was worried about you and thought she would lose you."

"And it proves of Twily that she was showing her mother side." Shining Armor adds. "But like I said, you've held a very special place in her heart. And she really cared about you."

Princess Celestia then notices the time up on a nearby clock and goes wide-eyed for a second before looking back at Comet.

"Pardon me Comet, but my sister and I have an important meeting with the council soon." Princess Celestia said. "Why don't you and your family take a stroll around the castle?"

"Of course." Comet confirms as the princesses left the throne room.

"Well, we'll be heading out ourselves." Night Light said, turns to his grandson. "It was nice seeing you again, hope you visit to our home so we can spend some more time."

"I will, Grandpa." Comet said.

After Comet's grandparents said their goodbyes, Comet and Shining Armor then walks off to go somewhere else.

Comet and Shining Armor walked through the royal castle, passing by many ponies. As they walk around, Comet saw a royal garden outside of the castle which Shining Armor have come up with an idea, and it'll give Princess Cadence a chance to meet the little colt.

"Hey Comet." Shining Armor called him, earned his attention. "Why don't you have a look at the garden? I'll go and get some pony."

"Really? Who?" Comet asks.

"It's a surprise." Shining Armor answered with a smile.

And with that, Shining Armor then went ahead while Comet entered at the royal garden. Comet was amazed of the garden filled with flowers, bushes, trees, and roses. He also saw the animals, remembered Fluttershy mention about meeting those animals at the garden. Comet was about to see them but listened to the spirits and noticed something is off about the animals. He decided to stay and wait, earned their attention when the animals noticed the colt. A rabbit approaches Comet curiously as it smells his hoof. Comet then slowly raise his hoof and rubbing the rabbit which it got it smile. Now, the animals gathered around Comet in a friendly matter which it got the little colt surprised, even the birds were gathering on his head.

As soon as Shining Armor and Princess Cadence arrived at the royal garden, they saw Comet surrounded by the animals. Shining Armor is surprised which no pony ever gets close to the animals, not even him, but Comet was able to get close to the animals. Princess Cadence only smiled, finds it cute when Comet is gathered by the animals.

"Comet." Shining Armor called him, earned his attention. "I see you've made some friends."

"Actually, this is the garden Fluttershy was talking about, and she's not kidding about those animals, either." Comet told him. "But I noticed something is wrong about them when I listen to the spirits."

"And what's that?" Shining Armor asks.

"The animals are very shy, like Fluttershy. No pun intended." Comet answered, causing Shining Armor and Princess Cadence to laugh a little of his joke. "The only option for me is to stay and wait. One of those rabbits came to me and I thought I'd try to pet it, but I'm surprised that it won't run away. Next thing I knew, the animals have gathered around me, including those birds."

"Well, we're glad you've made some new friends, sweetie." Princess Cadence said with a smile, earned his attention.

"Comet, there's some pony I want you to meet. This is Cadence, she's the Co-Ruler in Equestria." Shining Armor introduces her.

Comet is shocked as he bows to her which it got the animals return to their homes. Princess Cadence couldn't help but giggle a little while Comet stood back up.

"There's no need to be so formal, Shining Armor told me all about you." Princess Cadence told him with a smile. "You must be Comet Stardust, the son of Twilight Sparkle and a former human from another world."

"That's right." Comet confirms. "And you must be Princess Cadence?"

"That's correct." Princess Cadence nods. "After Aunt Celestia and Aunt Luna told me about you in those letters, I thought they're exaggerating."

"Really? That makes you, their niece?" Comet asks, earned a nod from her.

"And after Shining Armor told me everything, I was shocked about it at first. He even showed me the picture of you." Princess Cadence explains. "You were so adorable in those photos."

Comet couldn't help but blush with embarrassment which it got Shining Armor chuckled a little. Princess Cadence then turns to sad expression on her face.

"He also told me of what happen to you, and I just wanted to say I'm sorry that you had an awful life in your old world, including how your so-called uncle and aunt have treated you and your parents." Princess Cadence told him.

"It's okay." Comet said.

"No, it's not! Because no child as sweet as you should ever be treated that way! Ever!" Princess Cadence said, leaving Comet startled.

"I'm afraid she's right, Comet." Shining Armor adds, until Princess Cadence comforts Comet and hugged him.

"And at least you have a second chance here in Equestria and Twilight who will always be your mother." Princess Cadence told him as Comet nuzzled his cheek with her chest fur. "Perhaps we should go somewhere in a more peaceful area?"

Shining Armor nods with an agreement as he, Princess Cadence, and Comet left the royal garden, leaving the animals alone.

Comet and Shining Armor follow Princess Cadence outside of the castle on a large balcony where they all sit down, and Comet sits across from both of them.

"So, Comet, how are you enjoying your home so far?" Princess Cadence asks.

"It's going good. I've accepted a new life after Princess Luna give me a closure to see my old parents and my old friends one last time." Comet explains. "I love living with my mom, my godmothers, and my godfather."

"That's good." Princess Cadence said with a smile. "I'm glad to hear that."

"She usually studies in her books, but she sometimes hangs out with her friends whenever she gets a chance." Comet said.

"And I'm glad that Twilight has made some friends; we no longer have to worry about her not having friends." Princess Cadence said. "Also, it does change things when you came along, Comet."

"Uncle Shining told me the same thing too." Comet told her.

"And I mean it, Comet, you changed her life when she became the mother." Shining Armor said to his nephew. "Twilight has changed quite a bit since you came."

"Which it would explain the letters that Twilight have send, and I can tell she loved you very much and how much she cared about you." Princess Cadence adds. "You were a very special foal to her."

"Well, I'm not the only one. There's a new pony from Ponyville a month ago." Comet explains.

"Really?" Princess Cadence asks surprisingly.

"Her name is Apple Shine." Comet answered. "Like me, she's a former human from another world."

"Applejack got into those flowers I've told you about." Shining Armor cuts in which it got Princess Cadence surprised.

"So, that means Applejack is the mother of Apple Shine?" Princess Cadence asks.

Comet confirms with a nod as he explains about Apple Shine to Princess Cadence since she's curious about the Texan filly. After few minutes of explaining, Princess Cadence was surprised that Apple Shine's former name was Emily from Houston, Texas who lived a good life at the ranch with her old family, sad that she passed away after got bit by a poisonous snake when she helped her family have the animals sheltered before the tropical storm hit. Though, Princess Cadence is glad to hear that Apple Shine is accepting her new life in Equestria.

"Well, this is surprising. First, Twilight became the mother of you, and now Applejack, became the mother of Apple Shine." Princess Cadence said. "It really takes a lot to take in."

"Well, yeah, but I doubt that any pony would believe it." Comet states.

"That's true." Princess Cadence agrees with a giggle.

Comet then decided to ask her since he wanted to know how Princess Cadence met Shining Armor and his mother at first.

"Princess Cadence?" Comet called her, earned her attention. "Can you tell me how you, Mom, and Uncle Shining meet?"

"Of course." Princess Cadence replied with a warm smile. "Before I became your mother's foal-sitter, Shining Armor and I went to school together."

"What kind of school?" Comet questions.

"It's called Canterlot Academy." Shining Armor answered. "It's basically a high school."

"High School? So, were you two like high school sweethearts?" Comet asks, leaving the two laughed a little.

"One way to put it, but not quite." Shining Armor shook his head. "It all happened back in our days in Canterlot Academy..."

Flashback

'My friends and I er,...were a unique bunch.'

Inside a hallway of Canterlot Academy, ponies were heading to the next classes, including Shining Armor and his friends called: Gaffer, Poindexter, and 8-Bit. Until a pony named Buck Withers, who's the Captain of the Polo Team watches them and purposefully tripped Poindexter which it got him tumbled next to his friends. The ponies laughed at the scene.

"Hope you had had a nice trip, Poindexter!" Buck Withers said with a smirk.

"Did someone says my name?" Poindexter asks with his head popped out.

Until, Princess Cadence approaches Shining Armor with a smile on her face when she offered him a hoof, but it got Shining Armor widen his eyes and speechless.

'Cadence was a vision. The most beautiful, kind, amazing pony I'd ever seen...I didn't want to brag, but I was totally smooth that first time we met.'

"Oh! Here, let me help you up." Princess Cadence offered as Shining Armor grabbed her hoof and she pulled him up, but he's not standing up straight and he kept staring at her. "I'm afraid all your books and papers are a mess. Would you like some help with them?"

"Durp...?" Shining Armor stuttered.

"Would you like to go see the nurse?" Princess Cadence asks again, raises her hoof. "Did you hit your head? How many hooves am I holding up?"

"Gerp?" Shining Armor said, couldn't give her an answer.

Until, the school bell ringing which it's telling them the class is about to start. Buck Withers, Lemony Gem, and Diamond Rose were heading to class and Princess Cadence isn't following them.

"Cadence! Come on, we'll be late for 'History of Equestria'!" Lemony Gem warns her.

"Oh! I...um, shouldn't be late. I...Well, goodbye." Princess Cadence said as she followed her friends, leaving Shining Armor, Gaffer, Poindexter, and 8-Bit alone.

"I think she likes me." Shining Armor blurted out with a smile, leaving his friends sighed in annoyance.

"You're an idiot." Gaffer said in a deadpan expression, leaving Poindexter and 8-Bit in a same expression.

Later that day, Shining Armor and his friends are playing a strategy dice game called Oubliettes and Ogres after school in the basement.

Flashback Ended

"Wait, what?" Comet asks with an interruption, confused. "What game were you playing back in high school?"

"Oubliettes and Ogres, it's a strategy and roleplaying game where you can get to use your imagination, thinking that you're on adventure" Shining Armor explains.

"Hmm...That sounded similar of the game back in my world." Comet said, pondered.

"What's it called?" Princess Cadence asks.

"It's called 'Dungeons and Dragons'. It's also a strategy game and roleplaying." Comet explains.

"Wow, that does sound similar, and it's also a link to that game." Shining Armor said but decided to continue. "Anyway..."

Flashback

"Hey 8-Bit?" Gaffer called him. "Is there anymore 'Honey Dew'? Poindexter, roll for damage."

"Yep! Here you go." 8-Bit said, gives him the Honey Dew.

Poindexter makes a move when he rolls the dice. Gaffer plays as a storyteller while both Shining Armor and 8-Bit plays the game.

"Oh...I rolled a 9...That's not good." Poindexter said, adjusting his glasses. "Gaffer, what's the word? If my elf-pegasus still alive?"

"Eh, you won't like this." Gaffer said with a skeptic smile. "You've taken a blasting spell to the flank. Your character won't be able to sit for a month."

"He can't sit, he can't fly, he can't use spells." Poindexter growled with a scowl. "You're out to get me."

"The game is out to get you, not me." Gaffer corrects him, turns to Shining Armor. "Shining Armor, what's your move?"

Though, Shining Armor didn't pay attention to the game which his mind is somewhere else, mostly his mind is on Princess Cadence.

"Shining Arrrrrrrrrrmorrrr?" Gaffer called him, making him snapped out of his thoughts. "You still with us over there? We need our paladin!"

"Is he okay?" Poindexter asks.

"I think some pony has his head on tri-colored and blue eyes." 8-Bit states with annoyance.

"Her eyes are purple." Shining Armor corrects him.

"I rest my case." 8-Bit said with a sigh.

Shining Armor then thinks it over for a second about whether he'll ask Princess Cadence for be his special some pony or not.

"Guys! I've made a decision!" Shining Armor shouts, slamming his hoof against the table.

"Is it to open the hidden door to the left of the treasure chest?" Poindexter asks surprisingly. "I don't think you should until 8-Bit can cast a protection spell..."

"Not about that." Shining Armor interrupts, went goo-goo eyes. "I am going to make Cadence my very special some pony."

"Good luck with that." Gaffer scoffs.

"Furthermore...I shall ask her to the Fall Formal Gala next week." Shining Armor continues with determination.

"There sure are a lot of dances in this place, aren't there?" Poindexter whispered with a question.

"Shining Armor, Cadence is a princess." Gaffer points out. "She's smart, kind, and beautiful. She can go to the dance with any pony...We know you're a good guy, but there are some limitations to our social...circumstances."

"We're meant for each other; I can feel it." Shining Armor states.

"You...er, might...be shooting a little...high in your expectations for your first marefriend." 8-Bit points out.

"No. She's perfect. We are going to live happily ever after in a crystal castle. I can see it clearly..."

It got Gaffer, Poindexter, and 8-Bit sighed with annoyance when Shining Armor told them about him and Princess Cadence being together at the crystal castle, mostly imagines himself.

"You're really serious about this, aren't you?" Gaffer asks.

"I VOW UPON TWELVE HOUSES OF ELVISH PONIES THAT I WILL WOO THE FAIR CADAN..."

"No need for vows! We get the idea!" 8-Bit interrupts with a shout.

"Never say we don't rally around our leader." Gaffer points out, clear the table by tossing the map, dice, and character sheets away.

"What are you doing?" Poindexter asks surprisingly.

"I have written 367 'Oubliettes and Ogres' campaigns. If I can't come up with a quest for the hero to get the girl, I may as well turn in my nerd badge." Gaffer told him, using his magic to levitate a notebook on a table and write it down with a pencil, formulating a plan.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" 8-Bit questions. "This could be a disaster."

"We. We are doing this." Gaffer corrects him. "And, if it fails, it'll be a spectacular failure."

"Well, our reputations can't get any worse." Poindexter points out.

Soon as Gaffer finished formulating a plan, the three stallions gathered around, placing their hooves on top of the other. They noticed that Shining Armor isn't paying attention which he was looking at the princess action figure, mostly gone goo-goo eyes, but 8-Bit snapped out of his thoughts by bonking his head. Shining Armor then joins them and placed his hoof the top of the other.

"Let's get Shining Armor his dream girl!" Gaffer said.

"For love!" Shining Armor adds.

"For nerds everywhere!" Poindexter said with a smile.

"For every pony who's reached for the stars!" 8-Bit said.

"That was a bit much, wasn't it?" Poindexter asks.

"I like drama!" 8-Bit points out.

The next day after school, Gaffer and Shining Armor were about to head home while having discussions.

"To win the girl, you're going to have to complete three trials." Gaffer told him. "One, we're going to start with a filly step here, you just need to talk to her."

"I think I can do that..." Shining Armor said, though he doesn't know how.

"Trial two, a grand gesture. We need to get you noticed to get you on the ballot for the Fall Formal Festival. Cadence is a sure bet for Queen." Gaffer continues. "That leads to trial three...You win the crown, you get to dance with her at the Gala and BAM! You ask her to be your very special some pony. You win."

"...Dance...I win!" Shining Armor blurted out, gone goo-goo eyes again.

Until, 8-Bit approaches the two stallions with a flyer on his mouth.

"Here's something to help with part one! Give this to your mom! I saw it over at the filly school when I was picking up my little sister!" 8-Bit told him, showing the flyer to Shining Armor.

"What..." Shining Armor asks curiously.

"You'll be able to see her outside of school if she comes by to foal-sit Twilight Sparkle!" 8-Bit explains. "It's perfect."

"Cadence is foal sitting again?" Shining Armor asks with a ponder. "This seems easy enough..."

Later that week, Shining Armor explains his parents about Cadence foal-sitting when he showed them the flyer. Apparently, both Twilight Velvet and Night Light were getting Shining Armor ready for the flugelhorn recital while Twilight stayed behind and study and waiting for Cadence.

Flashback Ended

"And that's how she met you at first during high school? And Mom?" Comet asks.

"That's right, but I'm gonna lend you a little secret." Princess Cadence answered as she approaches Comet, whispered into his ear. "Your uncle is a big goofball when he notices me at first. Also, he's not very smooth at all."

That got Comet stifled his laugh, finds it funny. Shining Armor can tell what Princess Cadence is telling Comet, but decided to continue.

Flashback

"I'm so glad you brought me Cadence's flyer, honey!" Twilight Velvet said with a smile, fixing her sons tie. "She was free tonight to foal-sit so we can all go to your flugelhotn recital!"

"Your face gets all funny when you talk about her, Shining Armor." Twilight points out.

Suddenly, they heard a knock on the door.

"Oh! There she is!" Twilight Velvet said as she opens the door, revealed to be Princess Cadence as she entered inside. "Hello! So good to see you again, Cadence! It's been a while."

"Hello! I'm so glad you got ahold of me. I'm looking forward to seeing Twilight." Princess Cadence said with a smile, turns to Shining Armor. "Oh! Hello, Shining Armor...right?"

It got Shining Armor surprised when Princess Cadence knows him which they've met in Canterlot Academy.

"Oh! You know my Shiny? We're going to his flugelhorn recital tonight. He's just so talented!" Twilight Velvet said with a coo, playing Shining Armor's cheeks.

"He's going to make some young pony very happy one day!" Night Light adds with a smile, messing his mane, much to Shining Armor's embarrassment.

Soon as Twilight Velvet and Night Light were about to leave, they turned to Twilight Sparkle one last time.

"You remember Twilight Sparkle! Now we'll be a little late. Shiny will want to go out for ice cream after the recital or he'll get all cranky-wanky." Twilight Velvet told her daughter.

"Very 'cranky-wanky'." Twilight agrees with a now, earned a glare from Shining Armor and a giggle from Princess Cadence.

Soon as both Twilight Velvet and Night Light took their leave, Shining Armor then turns to Princess Cadence with a very nervous expression and his eyes was widen, swallow a lump on his throat and said...

"HELLO!?" Shining Armor said, making Princess Cadence and Twilight leaned back with a flinch as he then left the house, leaving Princess Cadence confused and Twilight in a deadpan expression.

After Shining Armor finished the flugelhorn recital last night, he meet up with Gaffer, Poindexter, and 8-Bit in the storage room at Canterlot Academy.

"How did last night go?" Gaffer asks.

"The recital? I rocked that flugelhorn!" Shining Armor answered.

"Not that. Did you talk to her?" Gaffer questions in annoyance when he opens the door.

"Oh! That? Yes...I did." Shining Armor confirms, but in an awkward way.

"Good on ya! That's great." 8-Bit said with a smile.

Soon as they went inside of the storage room, filled with parade floats for the event in Canterlot Academy.

"Now that that is out of the way, it's time for your second trial...a grand gesture." Gaffer said with a smirk and his raised eyebrow.

"How are we going to do that?" Shining Armor questions.

"We all know the Fall Formal Festival is the weekend after the polo team's big championship game. Before the game, there's the Pep Rally and Fall Formal Parade." 8-Bit explains, heading towards their parade float.

"At the parade today, we're going to put you in the spotlight." Poindexter adds, showing the parade float.

As soon as they made their way to the parade float, it shines bright which it got Shining Armor's eyes were widen.

"This seems...too grand of a gesture..." Shining Armor muttered.

However, he spoke too soon when he saw the parade float had the appearance of Oubliettes and Ogres game, and a yellow sheeting that has Shining Armor's cutie mark, and the words said 'Shining for King' at the front, '12 Level Paladin' and 'No Absences (Except 1) His Whole Junior Year' on the left side.

"I...Well now, that's really something." Shining Armor said with a sigh, head down.

"And there are costumes for all of us too!" Gaffer told him.

"Oh...We're all going to be on the float. Goodie, I wouldn't want to suffer alone." Shining Armor groans.

"Come on, we need to practice the musical number." 8-Bit suggests.

"I wrote it myself." Poindexter states proudly which Shining Armor won't like where this is going.

After Shining Armor, 8-Bit, Poindexter, and Gaffer practiced and having their costumes, the Pep Really is about to start and ponies are heading to the different parade floats and heading towards the stadium. Both Gaffer and Shining Armor were at the back of the parade float.

"This is a great idea." Gaffer states which Shining Armor thinks otherwise.

Soon as they arrived, Shining Armor noticed that Princess Cadence is right next to Buck Withers, Lemony Gem, and Diamond Rose.

"There she is!" Shining Armor said. "Aw man, she's sitting with Buck Withers, that Captain of the Polo Team?! I hate that guy..."

"You should...I heard he was planning of asking Cadence to the after his polo game today." Poindexter points out.

"Shining Armor!" Gaffer called him, earned his attention. "It just became imperative that we do this and get you on Cadence's radar right now. Are we ready?"

Shining Armor is now confident as he put his face paint on him with determination.

"I'm ready." Shining Armor said.

As soon as they start playing their instruments, it got every ponies attention, including Princess Cadence which her heart is beating with a teary smile on her face, fallen for him at first sight.

Shining Armor (Sings):

It got them stop when they heard hooves clapping from Princess Cadence while Diamond Rose is shocking of seeing her friend liking that song, but joins her clapping along with every pony, except Buck Withers, who didn't like it and grew jealous of Shining Armor. Shining Armor, Poindexter, Gaffer, and 8-Bit were completely surprised.

"Did they...like it?" Poindexter asks, panting heavily.

"I have no idea." 8-Bit answered, confused.

It got to the point that Buck Withers and his friend form up an idea.

"Geeks! What a bunch of geeks!" Buck Withers shouts with a mock, pointing at Shining Armor and his friends.

And that got every pony, except Princess Cadence, laughing at the four and leaving them sad. Poindexter turns his head to the three.

"They didn't like it." Poindexter said with a sigh.

Until, they heard a creaking sound that was coming from the parade float as it then breaks down and collapsed, leaving Shining Armor, Gaffer, 8-Bit, and Poindexter fell off of the broken-down parade float and landed on the ground with a hard thud. Shining Armor looked at Princess Cadence, who's shocked, and every pony laughed at him. Shining Armor, Gaffer, 8-Bit, and Poindexter then left with their heads down. Soon as they went inside, Gaffer then spoke.

"Stallions, our objective for the third task has changed." Gaffer states.

"You bet it is." Shining Armor agrees, hoof-palmed his forehead. "No one would vote for me as Fall Formal King now."

"You want to win the princess, right?" Gaffer questions seriously, grabbing his collar.

"More than anything." Shining Armor answered.

"Then you are going to slay that dragon." Gaffer suggests when he and Shining Armor looked at Buck Withers with steam coming out of their noses.

After they left the stadium, Shining Armor, Gaffer, 8-Bit, and Poindexter went back in the storage room to formulate a new plan.

"Shining Armor, what is Buck's weakest point?" 8-Bit asks.

"Losing. He's one of those stallions that has to win...And he has to be the star of the game or he loses his mind." Shining Armor explains.

"Right...and what's he about to do right now?" Poindexter asks.

"He's about to lead Canterlot Academy polo team to another Equestria Championship." Gaffer explains. "So, the four of us swoop in, we distract him. We do anything we can to make him the worst player out there."

"He'll storm off the field in a huff and forget all about asking Cadence to the dance after the game." Poindexter adds.

"While Buck is off throwing a hissy fit, you go get the girl." 8-Bit finishes the explanation.

"Wait, will this make the whole team lose the game?" Shining Armor questions. "I don't want everyone to suffer just because Buck is a bully."

"No, we don't interfere with any pony else on the team. They're all solid players." Gaffer told him. "They can win without Buck. Hey, I'm sure half of them will love us for taking him down a peg and letting them get some field time."

"I really hope this works." Shining Armor said hopefully.

"Don't worry, Cadence is a smart pony. She can see right through that stallion. She'll know you're the best choice." Gaffer assures him. "Okay every pony, let's get to it!"

However, Shining Armor isn't paying attention when he's playing those action figures.

"'Cadence, my love. Will you do the honor of going to the Fall Formal with me'?" Shining Armor said. "'Why, yes, my darling! I loooooooove you!'"

"Put the dolls down and lets go." Gaffer suggests with annoyance.

"Action figures." Shining Armor remarked.

Soon as they come up with a plan, the polo match begins between Canterlot Dragons against Manehatten Manticores.

"Taking the field now are the undefeated Canterlot Academy Dragons! Today's game against the Manehatten Academy Manticores promises to be an exciting one!" The announcer said. "And, leading the Dragons if Captain Buck Withers! This seasons most valuable pony player!"

Buck Withers then gives Princess Cadence a wink which she wasn't amused, but both Lemony Gem and Diamond Rose have gone goo-goo eyes on him. Little did they know that Shining Armor, Gaffer, 8-Bit, and Poindexter were about to sabotage the polo game, while on the black turtlenecks.

"Operation: Slay the Dragon, is a go." Shining Armor states.

"Every pony in position." Gaffer said.

"My mom is going to get really mad if I get grass stains on her new turtleneck." Poindexter complains.

"Suck it up, Poindexter." 8-Bit scoffs in annoyance.

And then the game begins, 8-Bit and Shining Armor hides underneath the bushes, waiting for Buck Withers which he's about to head for the goal when one of the polo players fire the ball. Buck Withers was about to block when 8-Bit uses the air horn at the wrong time, and it got Buck Withers spooked, leaped in midair, and block the ball with his mallet. Shining Armor then uses the pump that's full of grease, filling it to the ground to make it slick. He then quickly hides inside of the bushes which he noticed Buck Withers and the Manehatten Manticores players were about to get the ball, but Buck Withers slipped and shoot the ball towards the goal without noticing.

Buck Withers was about to make a field goal, but the ball quickly moves up to the goal. However, Gaffer pulls his head out of the ground with the magnet that was attached to the polo ball, but Shining Armor, 8-Bit, and Poindexter scowling at him for heading the wrong goal. Then they try another plan by having Poindexter dress as a cheerleader and call Buck Withers, but instead, it got the Manehatten Manticores and Canterlot Dragons attention while knocking Buck Withers out, which that plan ended up a failure.

Every pony from the stadium were cheering for Buck Withers and the Canterlot Dragons for the win. Shining Armor, Gaffer, 8-Bit, and Poindexter were out of options since Buck Withers didn't even notice it was the four who were trying to sabotage him.

"It's like he's cursed...but in reverse!" Shining Armor growled in frustration. "We can't do anything to shake him!"

"I only have one idea left, and it's a last resort." Gaffer said, pulling out the box of an 'Exploding Mallet'.

"That's oddly specific." Shining Armor states.

"How in Equestria are we going to replace his mallet with this one?" 8-Bit questions skeptically. "He's out of the field!"

Until, they heard the whistle blowing and the referees called a time-out. Buck Withers then took a quick break when Shining Armor quickly switches the mallet. Soon as they called a time-in, Buck Withers grabs a mallet which he didn't notice that a mallet is switched.

"Hold on to your flanks." Gaffer said.

"That won't hurt him, will it?" 8-Bit asks.

"Nah...I don't think so." Gaffer answered, but unsure. "Well, no. Sure. No. Whatever."

The match between Canterlot Dragons and Manehatten Manticores is about to be over, Buck Withers then swings his mallet up and hit the mallet hard, but the mallet snapped into two and flies right up at the sky. The ball made it towards the goal which it got the Manehatten Manticore players shocked and the fireworks explodes up in the sky. The Canterlot Dragons wins the polo game match as they gathered Buck Withers and tosses him up in the air with a cheer.

"So what? So what if he won the game, I can still get to Cadence first." Shining Armor growled, took off of the turtleneck and headed up to find Princess Cadence while trying to get through the crowd. "Excuse me, pardon me...Have any of you seen Cadence? No?"

"Good luck!" Gaffer shouts.

Soon as Shining Armor tried to get through the crowd, he managed to find Princess Cadence.

"Cadence! There she is! Pardon me!" Shining Armor said while try to call her, but Buck Withers beat him to it.

"Cadence, how'd you like to go to the Fall Formal with me?" Buck Withers asks with a smirk.

"Of course she'll go with you." Diamond Rose replied with a smile.

"No one else has asked her." Lemony Gem adds.

"Well, I guess it's true no pony has asked me yet." Princess Cadence said. "I was kind of hoping one pony would..."

"Right! You were waiting for me." Buck Withers states.

"Well, I..."

"I'll pick you up at 8." Buck Withers interrupts and then left the stadium.

"You're so lucky. He's so cute." Diamond Rose states.

"And popular." Lemony Gem adds. "Do you think he has a brother?"

"Of dear..." Princess Cadence muttered, stunned.

It got Shining Armor in tears, felt his heart shattered as Gaffer, 8-Bit, and Poindexter cried out. Shining Armor then left with sadness when the rain falls down.

Flashback Ended

"Wait, hold on a second. I don't think that's how it ended." Comet points out, stopping the story. "You and Princess Cadence are engaged. No offense, Uncle Shining, but that was a bit off."

Though, it got Princess Cadence laughed a bit when she listens to Shining Armor's story.

"He got you there, Shining. But like he said, that's not how it ended. That's how it began." Princess Cadence said, kissed Shining Armor on a cheek while smirking. "And I don't remember the polo game being quite that interesting."

"I may have embellished for the sake of storytelling." Shining Armor states.

"And the 'Exploding Polo Mallet'?" Princess Cadence asks with her eyebrow raised. "Weren't there fireworks planned after the game already? Didn't his mallet just break?"

"Nuance." Shining Armor muttered.

"I guess some pony can do crazy things when they're in love." Comet states.

"That's true." Princess Cadence agrees with a giggle.

Comet was about to ask when his stomach growls loudly, making him blush nervously as he haunches and put his both hooves on his stomach.

"Sounds like some ponies hungry." Princess Cadence states.

"Sorry." Comet said.

"It's okay, we must've been listening to his story for hours and I think it's about time for lunch." Princess Cadence said. "Why don't we go and have something to eat? Aunt Celestia and Aunt Luna are probably waiting in the dining room."

With that, Shining Armor, Princess Cadence, and Comet Stardust head out of the balcony as they head to the dining room for lunch. Both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were about to have lunch for themselves which they noticed Shining Armor, Princess Cadence, and Comet Stardust were heading that direction. Soon as they were inside of the dining room and about to have lunch, Prince Blueblood went inside of the dining room which it got Comet's attention. Prince Blueblood then noticed the little colt.

"Aunt Celestia, who is this? And why is Captain of the Royal Guard not on duty? And why is that little commoner here?" Prince Blueblood questions rudely.

"In case you haven't notice, I'm taking a few days off in order to spend some time with Comet Stardust, my nephew." Shining Armor told him with a scowl. "Surely, you've read about it in the newspaper."

"How dare you! Do you even know who you're speaking to?" Prince Blueblood demands with an angry glare.

"I think Rarity mention about you." Comet said, earned his attention. "She said something about your name. Was it...Prince Bluto? No, that's not it...Hmm...Prince Boogey? Prince Bluebutt? No...Oh, I know! It's Prince Buffoon, right?"

After hearing that, almost everypony's jaws dropped, but Shining Armor released a few snorts and burst into a laughter. Some of the guards and maids were also shocked also were laughing, Princess Celestia and Princess Cadence burst with a laugh. Princess Luna smirked with an amusement. Prince Blueblood felt insulted, looking at him with the little daggers.

"BUFFOON?! You've got a lot of nerve for speaking to me that way, commoner!" Prince Blueblood growled with anger. "You will pay for that insolent!"

"I'll pay you either cash or credit? Your pick." Comet said with a smirk.

The laughter was even higher at the moment, even the Princesses and Shining Armor were laughing hard by that remark.

"Grrrrrr, ENOUGH!" Prince Blueblood shouts, looking at the colt with anger. "I will have your head for that, you little brat!? Guards, seize him!"

"Oooh, you're sending them to do your dirty work and then sing?" Comet mocks.

And now, they're laughing even harder.

"BE QUIET!?" Prince Blueblood yelled.

"Oh, come on, I'm just having fun with you." Comet told him. "By the way, that's actually a very nice outfit."

"Oh, thank you." Prince Blueblood said with a small smile.

"Do they come in stallion sizes?" Comet asks with a joke, earned a glare from Prince Blueblood.

They're laughing even more harder, it's making Shining Armors sides split.

"Now that'll be funny." Princess Luna said, laughing.

"ENOUGH!?" Prince Blueblood yelled, turns to Comet as he slowly approaches the little colt. "How dare you make a fool out of me, you little brat?! This will be the last time you mocked me! Guards-"

"Don't you dare, nephew!" Princess Celestia shouts in her Canterlot voice with anger, earned his attention. "If you ever harm Comet Stardust, I will have your royal status removed!?"

"What?!" Prince Blueblood shouts with shock. "But he...he made a complete fool out of me..."

"And Comet Stardust is only a child, Blueblood." Princess Luna states with anger. "Don't forget, he's also Shining Armor's nephew. I'm warning you, if you ever try to harm him, you won't be forgiven."

"And you're fixing to meet a very angry mother when Twilight Sparkle finds out for what you're about to do to her son." Princess Cadence adds.

Prince Blueblood couldn't help but gulp in fear, meeting the very angry eyes of the three Princesses and Shining Armor. He then tried to put a brave face and left.

"Well...I really don't care anyway." Prince Blueblood scoffs, about to leave after turning to Comet one last time. "But mark my words, commoner, I'll make sure you remember what your place is."

Soon as Prince Blueblood left the dining room, Shining Armor and the three Princesses laughed a bit.

"Comet...that...that was the most...funniest thing I ever heard." Princess Cadence said with a laugh.

"I'll say." Shining Armor agrees, walk towards Comet. "Didn't think you'd insult Prince Blueblood like that, but then again, he pretty much deserves it."

"Just because I'm a colt, doesn't mean I don't know how to bite back." Comet remarked. "Trust me, this is what happens when you're growing up in the streets."

"That's true." Princess Celestia agrees. "But still, I haven't had that much laugh in a long time. You've made quite an impression of yourself with Blueblood."

"With the way he's acting, Prince Blueblood doesn't seem to be the prince type." Comet states which it got them surprised. "Rarity and Mario told me about him. And boy, she'll be in for a surprise of his true colors."

"So, you just mispronounce his name on purpose." Princess Luna said with an impressed smirk. "Very clever, but devious."

"And I'll tell you what, it was pretty funny." Princess Cadence states.

Soon as they have their fun laughing, the Princesses, Shining Armor, and Comet Stardust were having lunch without Prince Blueblood since he's angry because of the little colt. Princess Cadence then turns her head to Comet.

"Comet?" Princess Cadence calls him, earned his attention. "Just so you know, I really don't think Shining Armor has the full story. I think you need something other than a stallions perspective."

"What are you talking about? My version so far has intrigue! Drama! Unrequited love! My emotional suffering!" Shining Armor argued.

"Well, you only got the drama part right, but it's mostly high school drama." Comet points out.

"Hey, who side are you on?" Shining Armor remarked.

"But he does have a fair point." Princess Luna agrees.

"Let's see...Your plan to 'win me over' was to talk to me, get the attention of the school to become Fall Formal King, and profess your love as we danced the night away?" Princess Cadence asks with a hum.

"Yes, it was a good plan." Shining Armor answered.

"And is that what happened?" Princess Cadence asks, turns to Shining Armor.

"Well, no." Shining Armor answered again, about to say something, but Princess Cadence pressed her hoof on his mouth.

"Then let me finish the story." Princess Cadence suggests.

"So, you still went to the dance with Bu...what was his name again?" Comet asks.

"Buck Withers?" Princess Cadence guessed, earned a nod from the little colt. "I did, but I didn't leave with him."

"So, what happen when he ask you?" Comet asked.

"Before we do that, I think I'll start at that night I foal sat your mother." Princess Cadence suggests with a warm smile.

"You mean the night of my exceptional flugelhorn recital." Shining Armor states.

"Is he always like that?" Comet questions with a deadpan expression.

"Yes, but just so you know. Your Uncle is romantic, sweep off my wings." Princess Cadence told him. "And he's also a complete dork."

That got Comet laughed a bit while Shining Armor shot a glare at her.

"As I said, I'll start with that night." Princess Cadence said.

Flashback

After Princess Cadence went inside of the house to foal-sit Twilight, Twilight Velvet, Night Light, and Shining Armor were about to leave for the flugelhorn recital.

"You remember Twilight Sparkle, now we'll be a little late." Twilight Velvet told her daughter. "Shiny will want to go out for ice cream after the recital or he'll get all cranky-wanky."

"Very 'cranky wanky'." Twilight agrees with a nod, earned a glare from Shining Armor and a giggle from Princess Cadence.

Soon as Twilight Velvet and Night Light left, Shining Armor looked Princess Cadence nervously as he swallow a lump on his throat and said...

"HELLO!?" Shining Armor said and then left the house, leaving Princess Cadence confused and Twilight in a deadpan expression.

However, Princess Cadence placed her hooves on her chest where her heart is placed, feeling her heartbeat with a smile on her face. And from the look of it, Princess Cadence has fallen in love with Shining Armor at first sight.

"Miss Cadence?" Twilight called her, earned her attention when she grabs her.

"Okay Twilight Sparkle, first off...I need you to tell me absolutely every relevant piece of information you have about your brother. Then...we will make cookies and have the best night ever, agreed?" Princess Cadence said with determined look on her face which it got Twilight surprised.

"Oh...Okay...Wait...What?" Twilight said, realized why Princess Cadence asks. "Oooooh, I get it! You liiiiiike him! You think he's cuuuuuuuute!"

"Well, I...Yes." Princess Cadence admits. "Will you help me?"

"That depends." Twilight said, showing her room and charts. "Are you ready to take extensive notes on his likes and dislikes, to create several comparative charts about your popularity vs his? Did you bring a label maker? Is your paper wide ruled or academy ruled?"

"I have 37 different colors of paper for my label maker. I always have an abacus with me just in case I need to calculate percentages for the pie chart. Wide-ruled paper is for foals. Let's do this." Princess Cadence answered, leaned closer to Twilight.

"Cadence...I think you and I are going to get along very well." Twilight states with a smirk.

Later, both Princess Cadence and Twilight have been doing some comparative notes between Shining Armor and Princess Cadence which apparently, the chart said the two are matched.

"That's it!" Princess Cadence said with a smile, looking at the chart. "We're perfect for each other! I'm going to make Shining Armor my very special somepony."

"All the data we've collected seems to point to a happily ever after." Twilight adds, looking at the chart.

"Twilight, I need you to swear on a stack of color-coordinated index cards you will never tell Shining Armor about tonight." Princess Cadence said, turns to her.

"I swear." Twilight accepts, making a promise.

"Would you take the foal school playground oath not to tell?" Princess Cadence suggests.

"Sunshine, sunshine. Ladybugs awake. Clap your hooves and bake a cake. If I do lie and spill the beans, you can make me eat sardines." Twilight chanted as she and Princess Cadence form a bond.

Flashback Ended

"What?! Does she even realize how much easier my life would have been if Twilight had told me all of that?!" Shining Armor shouts, causing Comet to startle.

"Shining Armor! Use your indoor voice! You're scaring him!" Princess Cadence scolds him, approaches Comet and comforts him. "It's okay...It's okay."

"Shining Armor, the playground oath is an unbreakable vow. Everypony knows that." Princess Celestia told him.

That got Shining Armor sweat bullets, knowing he won't win the argument, especially with Princess Celestia and Princess Cadence.

"Yeah, you're right." Shining Armor said, sighed with defeat as he turns to Comet. "I'm sorry I yelled Comet."

Comet nods with a smile, feeling better.

"...And then at the parade..." Princess Cadence said, continues the story.

Flashback

At the stadium, the Pep Rally has started when the students were cheering when they look at the parade floats. Buck Withers was about to wrap his hoof around her, but Princess Cadence stopped him.

"Oh no, Buck. Please don't." Princess Cadence protests. "I have...um...just did my hair. Don't want to muss it, you know."

"I do know! It takes forever to get my feathering just right. You really get me, Cadence." Buck Withers states with a smirk, causing Princess Cadence to sigh when she noticed Shining Armor, Gaffer, 8-Bit, and Poindexter at the float. "You know, Cadence, I'm planning on making every goal at the polo match just for you..."

"Who the hay is that?" Diamond Rose asks shockingly when she and Lemony Gem looked at Shining Armor and his friends.

Though, Princess Cadence felt her heart is beating faster and her wings pointed up at the sky when she saw Shining Armor. Buck Withers looked at Princess Cadence in disbelief, couldn't believe that she fell for Shining Armor. Princess Cadence and every pony clapped their hooves together, except Buck Withers, who is smirking with a sneer.

"Geeks! What a bunch of geeks!" Buck Withers mocks when he and every pony, except Princess Cadence, laughed at Shining Armor and his friends.

"That...That was so mean! How could you?!" Princess Cadence scolds him.

"What? I'm having a good laugh." Buck Withers said innocently, causing Princess Cadence to huff with her fore-hooves crossed when he wrapped his arm around her. "You're still coming to the polo match, right?"

Flashback Ended

"Wow...I've dealt with bullies back in my world before, but Buck Withers takes the cake." Comet said shockingly. "So, what happen after the match."

"Well, I was going and try to find your uncle before he asked me." Princess Cadence answered.

Flashback

After the polo match is over, Princess Cadence is going to find Shining Armor and ask him to the dance which she saw him on the sidelines. Though, it got her wondering why is Shining Armor wearing a black turtleneck.

"What did you think of Shining Armor on the float earlier?" The mare asks with a giggle.

"I never noticed how cute he is." Cheerilee answered with a smile. "I wonder if he has a date for the dance?"

"My brother is a friend of his." The mare states. "I think I overheard them talking about somepony he already likes. He's asking her."

"Too bad...I've have gone with him." Cheerilee states.

"...Already likes...Sompony? No! It can't be..." Princess Cadence muttered with shock.

Just when Shining Armor to get through the crowd and about to ask Princess Cadence, Buck Withers beat him to it.

"Cadence, how'd you like to go to the Fall Formal with me?" Buck Withers asks.

"Of course she'll go with you." Diamond Rose said with a smile.

"No one else has asked her." Lemony Gem adds.

"Well, I guess it's true no pony has asked me yet." Princess Cadence said. "I was kind of hoping one pony would..."

"Right, you were waiting for me." Buck Withers cuts in.

"Well, I..." Princess Cadence said.

"I'll pick you up at 8." Buck Withers suggests as he left the stadium.

"You're so lucky! He's so cute." Diamond Rose said with a smile.

"And popular." Lemony Gem adds. "Do you think he has a brother?"

"Oh dear..." Princess Cadence muttered, stunned.

After the polo match has ended, Princess Cadence, Lemony Gem, and Diamond Rose were about to get ready for the Fall Formal Festival while talking about Buck Withers at the dorm room.

"You're so lucky, Cadence. Buck is the most popular stallion at the academy." Lemony Gem told her, placing the vinyl on the record player.

"Lemony Gems, don't you think he's kind of mean?" Princess Cadence asks.

"My mom always tells me personality traits you don't like in a stallion can be fixed with constant nagging." Lemony Gems said. "Right, Diamond Rose?"

"Of course. How else do you deal with boys? They're impossible." Diamond Rose agrees with a smirk, after placing the case Cabdooles on the floor and showing the dress. "How about this dress? It matches Buck's cutie mark!"

"Do you think, like, on stallions, they should call them 'Cutie Marks'?" Lemony Gems asks. "How about 'Manly Marks'? Or 'Macho Marks'? Or..."

"Girls, I have a confession to make." Princess Cadence said, earned their attention. "I don't want to go to the Fall Formal with Buck."

That got both Lemony Gem and Diamond Rose shocked with disbelief, couldn't believe what Princess Cadence have told the two. Even though, Buck Withers have been mean to Shining Armor and his friends ever since.

"But...But...He's so cute!" Diamond Rose states.

"And the Captain of the Polo Team!" Lemony Gems adds when she and Diamond Rose tried to reason with Princess Cadence.

"I know...but...he's not for me. I like Shining Armor. He's my pick for my very special somepony." Princess Cadence confessed which it got the two glanced at each other. "Well, what?"

"Cadence, you're a princess." Lemony Gems points out, levitating the brush and a mirror. "You can have anypony...Are you sure you want to waste that fortuity on...Shining Armor, of all ponies?! Who's next? His friend with a bow tie?"

"I can kind of see it. He's cute, but...not Buck cute." Diamond Rose adds, pulls her mane back. "Shouldn't you think on this? Maybe sleep on it?"

"No. It's him or nopony. We are going to live happily ever after in a crystal palace, I can feel it." Princess Cadence said, showing the chart to them and then went to the desk, tossing the picture of Buck Withers aside. "Look at it this way, with Buck back on the market, one of you can have him."

"Shining Armor it is!" Lemony Gems accepts, goes after the picture.

"We'll do everything we can to get you two together!" Diamond Rose adds, goes after the picture as well when she and Lemony Gems were fighting over the picture.

"I knew you'd come around." Princess Cadence said surprisingly.

Apparently, Shining Armor, Gaffer, 8-Bit, and Poindexter had similar plans in their own dorm room. Even though, the Fall Formal is about to start since Shining Armor is going to dance while both Gaffer and 8-Bit are going to be the distraction, Except for Poindexter because they've got something for him. So far, they failed at trying to get Shining Armor on the ballot for the Fall Formal King because of Buck Withers. But they're not going to give up because they're planning to get Buck Withers reveal his true colors to Princess Cadence. Their plan is to irritate Buck Withers by having 8-Bit poke him when he isn't looking, having Gaffer make him itch with an itch powder, and a whoopie cushion. After Buck Withers discovered all three, he'll run off after them. And it'll leave both Shining Armor and Princess Cadence dance and ask her to be his very special somepony. Gaffer however gives Poindexter a dress, which he gave him a sour look on his face.

While in the girl's dorm room, Lemony Gems suggested to Princess Cadence to let Buck Withers escort her into the dance, then tell him she's not interested, but Princess Cadence was wondering if she can leave him a note and tell him she don't want to go. Though, both Diamond Rose and Lemony wanted to console with Buck Withers, but one of them has to mend his broken pride while Princess Cadence just walked to Shining Armor and ask him to dance. It got Princess Cadence worried and ask them about Shining Armor dances with another pony since she overheard he asked somepony, but Diamond Rose and Lemony Gems says otherwise.

Three hours later at the royal castle, Princess Cadence, Lemony Gems, and Diamond Rose were dressed for the Fall Formal Festival. Princess Celestia turns to her niece with a smile on her face.

"Cadence! You look lovely." Princess Celestia said. "Are you looking forward to tonight?"

"Well...not really, but I'm hoping to change that." Princess Cadence replied. "In all honesty, there's somepony else I'd rather be going with. He'll be there tonight..."

"Now Cadence, it's important to fulfill our obligations." Princess Celestia assures her. "If you agreed to go with the young stallion, it's the right thing to do to go and be gracious. Go, have fun. Leave the dance as friends..."

"Princess Celestia, Buck Withers is here to escort Princess Cadence to the dance." The Royal Guard announces.

"Wonderful, show him in." Princess Celestia said with delight, but Princess Cadence is unamused. "I'd like to meet..."

"Helloooo, Princess Celestia!" Buck Withers greets rudely with a smirk and knocked one of the guards out by slamming the door, leaving Princess Celestia flinched. "Can I call you Celestia? We're practically family now that I'm dating the fair Cadence!"

Buck Withers the leans against Princess Celestia and hoof bumped Princess Cadence in a shoulder.

"Wow! Canterlot castle! I could get used to live here." Buck Withers states. "Maybe after graduation there'll be wedding bells. Lucky you! Let's go, Cadence! Mustn't be late for first public appearance as Canterlot's newest celebrity couple."

Soon as Buck Withers went inside of the room, Princess Celestia turns to Princess Cadence with a scowl on her face, which she doesn't like that arrogant stallion.

"Ditch him the first chance you get." Princess Celestia suggests which Princess Cadence replied with a nod.

The Fall Formal is going on in few minutes since every pony, except Princess Cadence, enjoys the formal dance, but both Cheerilee and Mayor Mare were talking about their aptitude test; Cheerilee's test said she'll be a teacher and Mayor Mare's test said she'll be a politician. However, Buck Withers kept talking about his plans for him and Princess Cadence in the future.

"...And then this summer my mummy dearest would have just love to have you on our hot air balloon." Buck Withers told her. "She was simply thrilled when I told her we were going to the dance together...She and father were just..."

However, Princess Cadence doesn't have any interest on Buck Withers or meeting his family, and it annoys her. Suddenly, Shining Armor arrived at the dance with Poindexter in a dress. It got Cheerilee shocked, Mayor Mare was about to blow chunks, and Buck Withers is stunned with his face pale.

"Is that...Poindexter in a dress?" Buck Withers asks. "Does Poindexter have a sister?"

Princess Cadence realized it was Poindexter in a dress, which means Shining Armor isn't here with anypony and she's free.

"She looks lovely." Princess Cadence states with a giggle.

"Well, back to what I was saying. Daddy will want you over for a tour of my trophy room now that we're..."

"Listen...Buck." Princess Cadence interrupts.

"Yes pookie?" Buck Withers said, about to kiss Princess Cadence.

"It was really nice of you to bring me here tonight, but I need to be honest with you. I...um...really just..." Princess Cadence said as she pushes him back with a smile on her face. "I just don't deserve a guy like you. Let's just be friends, okay?"

And with that, Princess Cadence left and try to meet up with Shining Armor, leaving Buck Withers stunned of being rejected.

"But...but...why?!" Buck Withers exclaims when Lemony Gems and Diamond Rose quickly approaches him.

"Can I get you a punch, Buck?" Lemony Gems offered with a smile.

"How about a dance? A quickstep? Samba? Foxtrot? Moonwalk? The time warp?" Diamond Rose asks with a smile.

Buck Withers wasn't listening, furious when he realized that Princess Cadence really does like Shining Armor.

"OH, I DON'T THINK SO. THAT NERD IS GETTING A PIECE OF MY MIND...AND HOOF...THROUGH MY FACE!" Buck Withers yelled, stormed after Princess Cadence.

"Well, he's not taking this well." Diamond Rose said.

"Want to go see if any of the Steeplechase team wants to dance?" Lemony Gems asks.

"Sure." Diamond Rose replied as she and Lemony Gems left.

Just when Buck Withers was about to make his way to Princess Cadence and Shining Armor, 8-Bit is up at the rafters as he ropes himself down and poked him in the back of his head with a stick. Buck Withers turned his head, but 8-Bit was already up. Princess Cadence approaches Shining Armor and spoke.

"Hello, Shining Armor." Princess Cadence greets with a smile.

"Hur derp werp?" Shining Armor stuttered.

"I think, by the end of the night, we'll be able to work you all the way up to coherent sentences." Princess Cadence said, levitating the corsage right on to her ear.

"Uh-huh." Shining Armor nods with a nervous smile.

"Cadence! I need to talk to you! Right now!" Buck Withers shouts furiously when Gaffer ropes down and shakes the itch powder, causing him to scratch himself. "Oh come on!"

"You look very nice, Poindexter." Princess Cadence said with a giggle when Poindexter approaches while the stallions have gone goo-goo eyes on him.

"Nopony has told me why I'm in a dress yet." Poindexter points out.

"Because you never gave Gaffer back his replica Bat'leth sword after Nightmare Night last year and that stallion holds a grudge. Consider yourself punished." Shining Armor explains with a smirk.

"I still feel pretty." Poindexter states with a huff, playing his mane. "He can't take that from me."

"Cadence!" Buck Withers called her furiously, earned their attention. "I want to have a few words with you."

"Buck? What happened to you?" Princess Cadence asks surprisingly.

"What happened to me?! That dweebs friends happened to me!" Buck Withers answered.

"What? Never." Shining Armor said innocently.

"Everypony! It's time to announce the King and Queen of the Fall Formal!" The principal announces. "I think it's no surprise that our Queen this year is, Princess Cadence!"

The ponies clapped their hooves for Princess Cadence which Shining Armor is happy for her.

"Go on and get your crown, princess." Shining Armor said. "I bet it'll be look beautiful on you."

Soon as Princess Cadence walked up to the stage, she kneels down and the principal levitates the crown on the top of her head. Buck Withers then turns to Shining Armor. with a very angry look.

"Do you think for one second that she would pick you over me?" Buck Withers questions, grabs his collar. "You're a...a Dweeb! I'm Buck Withers! I'm a star at this academy! I..."

"And, for our King! Again, no surprises here! Your Fall Formal King is, Buck Withers!" The principal announces which it got his attention as he lets go of Shining Armor.

"You're not good enough for her, Shining Armor." Buck Withers mocks. "You never will be. I'm the one who deserves a happily ever after. Not you...And everypony in this ballroom think so! Ha!"

Buck Withers then walked up to the stage with a smirk as the principal levitates the crown on the top of his head.

"Now, for our dance!" Buck Withers said, grabs Princess Cadence.

"I don't think you're the one who deserves the happily ever after!" Shining Armor shouts which it got both of their attention.

"Who said that?!" Buck Withers demands.

"I did!" Shining Armor answered with a scowl.

The ponies gathered around Shining Armor, especially Gaffer and 8-Bit when he took his safety harness off.

"Shining Armor is one of the good ponies." Gaffer shouts. "You're nothing but a jerk!"

"And he's the best Paladin any Oubliettes and Ogres Guild could want!" 8-Bit adds.

"Maybe not right now but..." Gaffer said.

"Yeah? Well, you're just his wussy friends and nopony else here agrees with you." Buck Withers remarked.

However, the ponies says otherwise as they look at Buck Withers with angry look.

"Shining Armor volunteered to tutor me in math!" The blue stallion shouts.

"Buck stole my lunch money all through foal school!" The lavender mare adds.

"Shining Armor walks my little brother home from school!" The orange mare adds.

"Buck shoved me in a locker! I was there for days!" The pink mare finished.

Every pony shouted at Buck Withers with so much anger and Princess Cadence is disgusted of his actions for being a bully and not being nice to every pony.

"Who cares about being nice when you're great looking, rich, and good at sports?" Buck Withers mockingly questions with a smirk, leaving Princess Cadence unamused.

"I do." Princess Cadence answered, took the crown out of Buck Withers head and placed on Shining Armor's head. "And I want nothing more than for Shining Armor to be my very special somepony."

"Cadence! I'm Buck Withers! I'm Polo Captain!" Buck Withers said, tried to reason with Princess Cadence. "I...I have amazing cheek bones! Think about what you're saying!"

"It's over, Buck, go home." Shining Armor suggests seriously.

"No, this is not over! Cadence, hold on just one minute...think about..."

Before Buck Withers could even finish his sentence, 8-Bit passes the safety harness next to Shining Armor, who grabs it and placed on Buck Withers with a smirk.

"Goodbye, Buck." Shining Armor said, watching Buck Withers being pulled up right to the disco ball.

"What are you doing?! Let me out of this right now! My father is a congresspony!?"

Buck Withers then hit the disco ball and got electrocuted, leaving him shocked and unconscious. And with that, the ponies continued to dance at the Fall Formal.

"How do you feel about the Crystal Palaces?" Princess Cadence asks with a smile.

"How about we get through our first dance first?" Shining Armor suggests with a smile. "Then we'll talk palaces."

And soon as Princess Cadence and Shining Armor had their first dance, they kissed and the heart revealed at the top of their horns.

Flashback Ended

"And we lived happily ever after." Princess Cadence finishes the story.

"Wow." Comet said, amazed of the story.

"Let's not use the past tense when saying that, it sound ominous." Shining Armor suggests.

"What? Afraid of the black cat taking your path?" Comet asks with a smirk, making the Princesses giggled.

Until, they saw a deer spirit in the dining room which it got the royal guards readied their spears.

"Wait, wait! It's an animal spirit." Comet said when the deer spirit gestures him to follow. "I think the deer spirit is telling me something."

"I think it's telling us to follow." Princess Luna guessed.

"Do you think the deer spirit will lead us something?" Comet asks, turns to her.

"One way to find out." Princess Celestia said.

The Princesses, Shining Armor, and Comet follow the deer spirit out of the dining room which they're walk through the hallway for while, leading to the bedroom.

"Um, who's room is this?" Comet asks curiously.

"That's Princes 'Buffoons' room." Shining Armor answered with a snicker while the Princesses giggled.

The deer spirit then went through the doors as Princess Celestia uses her magic, open the door that reveals Prince Bluebloods room. They then went inside as the deer spirit is waiting next to the shelf full of snow globes.

"Whoa, for a prince, he does have quite a collection of snow globes." Comet said surprisingly.

"Yes, but it's no surprising of his behavior." Princess Luna states, unamused.

The deer spirit tapped its hoof at Comet, earned his attention as the deer spirit motions to the snow globe that has two ponies inside. The three Princesses were shocked which they recognizes the two.

"Bright Mac? Buttercup?" Princess Cadence said.

"You know them?" Comet asks.

"We do, they're Applejacks parents. And they're close friends of ours." Princess Celestia answered.

Buttercup has a pale gamboge fur coat with brilliant gamboge mane and tail, and brilliant turquoise eyes. Her cutie mark was a jar of preserves.

Bright Mac has a pale light grayish olive fur coat with brilliant red mane and tail, and moderate harlequin eyes. His cutie mark was a half of green apple with star in the center. He's also wearing a Stetson hat.

"Then that means those are Apple Shine grandparents?" Comet guessed, earned a nod from them.

"But how did they get in there? And why?" Shining Armor asks.

Comet then noticed both Pear Butter and Bright Mac were trying to get their attention. And when they saw that they were motioning towards the mirror, he looked towards it. Comet then remembered something and then looked back at the snow globe.

"The mirror!" Comet said, earned their attention. "I think the mirror and the mirror inside of the snow globe are connected. It's a portal!"

Princess Celestia then walked over the mirror, and used her magic on it. Then the mirror started glowing.

Inside of the snow globe, Bright Mac and Buttercup ran towards the mirror, jumped through, and came out of the mirror in Blueblood's bedroom.

"Thank you, Princess Celestia." Buttercup said with a smile.

"You should thank Comet Stardust; he was the one who figured it out." Princess Celestia said with a smile.

Buttercup and Bright Mac turned towards the little colt.

"So, you're Comet Stardust?" Bright Mac asks.

"Yes, and you're Applejack and Mario's parents?" Comet asks.

"You knew our daughter and our son?" Buttercup asks surprisingly.

"Okay, okay, let's me start over." Comet assured them. "Before I answer your question, how did you two end up here? And how long ago was that?"

"Okay, we understand." Buttercup said. "It was...well...It was at least when our youngest daughter Apple Bloom, was one year old. Bright Mac and Ah were going on a special delivery, bringing sweets made with the best apples in Equestria to a competition. We're left ta bring the best homemade apple pies so our family will be known across Equestria. Princess Celestia and Princess Cadence got called away for a proposition in Saddle Arabia, but there was that snarky Prince of theirs."

"Prince Buffoon?" Comet guessed which it got Bright Mac and Buttercup laughed along with Shining Armor and the Princesses.

"Ah think that name is 'Blueblood', lil' feller. But I'll admit, that's pretty funny." Bright Mac states with a chuckle. "Anyway, he took hold of the head judging. We were about to win the competition, but when he saw us comin' to the winning stage, and found out we were in Ponyville, he claimed that this was supposed to be a competition for high-class ponies."

"And he disqualified you both?" Shining Armor guessed, earned a nod from the two.

"I told him not to do that." Princess Celestia said, angered of his actions.

"Ah got mad and punched him in the nuzzle. Then, he tried to sentence us to death." Bright Mac explains. "However instead, we're trapped inside of the snow globe for so long, we didn't even get home to see our family."

"You've been there this whole time and Blueblood took matters to his own hooves by trapping the both of you." Comet said angrily. "That monster...He won't get away with this!?"

"Don't worry, he won't." Princess Luna assures him. "We're just gonna have to find him."

"Now that you know how we ended up here." Buttercup said, earned Comet's attention. "What's yer life story?"

"Well..."

45 minutes later.

After Comet finished his story, both Buttercup and Bright Mac were astonished by his story. They never heard of a story so tragic between Comet's and Apple Shine's story, leading up to this.

"Ah can't believe it." Buttercup said. "You and Apple Shine were once humans from another world, both Twilight and Applejack were pregnant because of the magical flower. Yers and her souls is now hosts of those bodies, ya livin' in the Golden Oak Library and Apple Shine lives in the Sweet Apple Acres?"

"That pretty much sums it up." Comet confirms.

"Ah can't believe it. We're grandparents." Bright Mac said.

"Aunt Celestia! Aunt Luna! Cadence! Why are you and those commoners are in my room?!" The voice of Prince Blueblood shouts when he enters the room.

"Hello, Prince Buffoon." Comet greets with an angry glare.

"That's Prince Blueblood to you, commoner!" Prince Blueblood remarked.

"Not for long. Guards, take Blueblood to the dungeon!" Shining Armor ordered with a glare.

And with that the royal guards arrested Prince Blueblood and take him to the dungeon which he demands them to release him, but the guards kept taking him to the dungeon.

"Sounds like Blueblood is going to be in there for a long time." Comet states.

"Yeah, but I don't think that's my place to say." Shining Armor told him. "That's for the Princesses to decided, whether Blueblood will have punishment something suitable for him."

"I'm afraid he's right, we'll think of something for him." Princess Celestia agrees. "In the meantime, why don't you go and spend some time with your family, Comet?"

"Yeah, but I'm just hoping Blueblood will learn the meaning of humility and to treat every pony as equals, not something to look down." Comet said with a sigh. "With the way he's acting, I don't think it'll happen, and Rarity will be very upset when I told her."

"I understand, Comet." Princess Luna said. "However, with his ignorance of a royal decrees, his royal status is about to be removed. And he'll be in the dungeon for a long time."

And with that, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were about to leave.

"Princess Celestia?" Comet called her, earned her attention. "Mom wanted to thank you for the tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala."

"Oh, right...the Grand Galloping Gala." Princess Celestia said with a sigh, conflicted when Comet mentioned about the Gala.

"What's wrong?" Comet asks.

"Well...It's just that every year, the Grand Galloping Gala is the same." Princess Celestia told him with a sigh.

"How?" Comet questions.

"Every year when I am at the Grand Galloping Gala, it's always a bunch of nobles talking amongst one another and although it was suppose to be a gathering for ponies like that...it's not so much of a party when somepony like me to enjoy." Princess Celestia explains.

"Oh, so that's what Mario meant." Comet said, conflicted.

"I wish I could disagree with Mario. But that's the reason I invited you and Twilight's friends there." Princess Celestia said.

"Really? But why?" Comet asks.

"When Twilight and Mario asked me to invite their friends, you, and Apple Shine to the Gala, I was thrilled." Princess Celestia explains with a smile. "I thought that if you nine were at the Grand Galloping Gala, then you liven things up a bit while you are there."

"I see." Comet said, sighed.

"I know it's your first time at the Gala." Princess Celestia assures him. "Even if you and your friends may not have the best time, it will indeed make me happy to see you all there."

Comet then turns to Shining Armor, Bright Mac, Princess Cadence, and Buttercup.

"She's right. I'd go with it if I were you." Shining Armor told him.

"And don't worry, your mother will be right by your side, along with Mario." Princess Cadence adds.

"Your highness, would it be alright if we come to the Gala?" Bright Mac asks.

"Of course." Princess Celestia accepts with a nod, uses her magic to call out the tickets and gives them to Bright Mac and Buttercup. "Now, if you don't mind, my sister and I would have a serious discussion with Blueblood."

Princess Celestia and Princess Luna then left the bedroom and making their way to the dungeon to have a word with Blueblood.

"Well, this is quite an eventful day." Shining Armor said, turns to Comet, Princess Cadence, Bright Mac, and Buttercup. "How about we get to have a good time in Canterlot?"

They nodded with an agreement as they left the castle to enjoy the rest of the day in Canterlot.

Few days later, Comet did a few things before the late afternoon of when he was about to leave. He bought a gift for his mother, spent more time with Shining Armor, Princess Cadence, Bright Mac, Buttercup, and his grandparents. He also went to the dungeon to visit with Blueblood, given him a few words which Blueblood won't take it for granted, but Comet uses the memory spell to show his dark past. Blueblood was in deep shock, and he began to realize that he'll do more harm than good when he takes over. After that was done, Comet is now currently in the train station with Buttercup, Bright Mac, Princess Cadence, and Shining Armor.

"I wish I can stay here longer, but I think I have Mom waited, long enough." Comet said with a smile.

"We understand, Comet." Shining Armor said to his nephew. "Oh, Blueblood wanted me to give this letter to you. I don't know why, but I don't think it's my business to say."

Comet grabs it and places it on his bag. He then pulled out two necklaces with half hearts that has their names on it. It got Shining Armor and Princess Cadence smiled.

"Since you two are engaged, I thought giving these necklaces as gifts for you would be nice." Comet said.

"Aww, that's so sweet, thank you. We will have these for the wedding and to remember." Princess Cadence said, approaches Comet and kissed him on his forehead. "I'm glad I get to know you, my little treasure."

Comet then blushed with embarrassment when the train whistle blows.

"Well, I hope to see you again soon." Comet said as he, Bright Mac, and Buttercup went inside of the train and left Canterlot.

Soon as the train arrived back in Ponyville, Twilight was happy to see her son again. Comet gave her gift he got from Canterlot, a book. However, Comet also gives Twilight an explanation of the past few days he spent in Canterlot while Buttercup and Bright Mac headed towards the Sweet Apple Acres to see the Apple family.

After Comet finished explaining, Twilight was surprised that he got a chance to spend some time with his grandparents, happy that Princess Cadence have taking a liking to the little colt. She was astonished that Prince Blueblood is one behind of Buttercup and Bright Mac's disapperance.

"So, what are they going to do with Blueblood now since his royal status is removed?" Twilight asks.

"I don't think that's my place to say." Comet told her.

Until, they heard a knock on the door when Twilight head towards it and opens the door, revealed to be Applejack.

"Applejack? What brings you here?" Twilight asks.

"Ah came to talk to Comet." Applejack answered with a smile. "Is he here?"

"He is, come on in." Twilight offered as she let Applejack inside. "Comet? Applejack is here to see you."

Comet then approaches Applejack, who's in tears with a smile on her face.

"Applejack?" Comet called her.

Applejack then gives Comet a hug and cried her tears out, which he's confused.

"Ma and Pa told me everythin' of yer time in Canterlot and how you manage to find them." Applejack told him. "Thank you, Comet. Thank you...fer bringin' mah family back. And fer sendin' that Blueblood to the dungeon."

Comet now understands why she's here as he hugs his godmother in return with a smile on his face.

That's it for the 16th chapter. Sorry about that, just thought I could do a lot of details of the addition of 'MLP: Neigh Anything' comic and how Applejack's parents wind up disappeared/died. And it's a lot to go through.
