This is the 28th chapter. Before I could begin a chapter called 'The Stare Master', I'm adding a chapter where Rainbow Dash is going to have a discussion with Twilight Sparkle and whether she'll adopted Storm Hawk or not.

Decision

Two weeks later, both Comet and Storm Hawk are off the hook for being grounded by Twilight Sparkle. Of course, the two colts just do their own activities early in the morning which Comet usually trains in martial arts and spells while Storm Hawk continues to learn how to fly and learning basic maneuvers by Rainbow Dash and trained in martial arts by Zane. They also go to school on time, but it doesn't surprise them they run into Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon numerous times which they know how to bite back.

Storm Hawk secretly tried to do the same routine to make a sonic rainboom, like Rainbow Dash. He remembered the competition when she made the sonic rainboom and won which he wanted to try that move. However, Storm Hawk was trying to make the sonic rainboom of his own, but he always ended up crashed between at the Golden Oak Library, the forest, the pond, or Cloudsdale.

Storm Hawk usually helps out Rainbow Dash of weather which she taught him the basics. Apparently, he was able to catch on quickly, but he's still new to the weather managing and Rainbow Dash is still teaching him since he's been to the weather factory once before.

Rainbow Dash was about to make up some new moves to try and impressed the Wonderbolts like last time. But every time she tries to either managing the weather or tryout some new moves for impressing the Wonderbolts, her mind wondered towards Storm Hawk, who was hanging out with his friends. Rainbow Dash just couldn't get the thought out of what happened two weeks ago.

She even remembered few weeks ago, after Storm Hawk got grounded for two weeks by Twilight Sparkle while given him an earful. Rainbow Dash even told him not to worry about it since the three stallions did deserve that for bullying her back at Cloudsdale. She even laughed very hard when she saw that prank which she couldn't get it out of her head. But when she was able to get him to bed and about to leave the room, Storm Hawk said one word: Mom. Rainbow Dash felt bad for the colt. Storm Hawk lived in a rough streets and was forced to run with his cousin and friends after his foster parents were killed by the Italian Mafia, even forced to drop out of school.

Rainbow Dash then sighed and then decided to take a break from practicing new tricks. She then fly towards the Golden Oak Library to have a talk with Twilight. Though, she was surprised that Storm Hawk didn't remember what happened few weeks ago, guessing he was too tired to notice. Rainbow Dash didn't tell him because she didn't want him to know. She sure hope Twilight will be able to tell her what she can do.

Rainbow Dash knocked on the door and the door opened when Spike revealed himself.

"Hey, Rainbow Dash. What brings you here?" Spike asked.

"I came here to talk to Twilight." Rainbow Dash told him.

"Okay. I'll go get her and we will all..."

"Actually, Spike, I want to speak to Twilight, in private." Rainbow Dash suggests with an interruption.

"Really?" Spike asked, earned a nod from her. "Alright, I'll go get her. Come on in."

Spike allowed her inside and Rainbow Dash sat on a pillow right by the table. She waited for Twilight to come down, hoping that she would know the answer.

"Rainbow Dash?" The voice of Twilight said, earned her attention when she saw her coming down the stairs. "What brings you here? And why do want it to be just you and me?"

"Well." Rainbow Dash said nervously, but sighed. "It's about Storm Hawk."

"What about Storm Hawk?" Twilight asked. "Is something wrong?"

"No, nothing's wrong." Rainbow Dash told her. "It's just that...It's..."

Rainbow Dash then sighed again, decided to tell her.

"I feel bad for Storm Hawk." Rainbow Dash said. "Before he ever came here in Equestria, he had a rough life as a human named Dante. Back in his world, Dante's real parents abandoned him at this 'Coney Island' and was founded by his foster parents where they raised him as their own. He made a friend, which was Comet, grew up together and fight against the bullies in the streets. After Elijah died and became as Comet, Dante dropped out of school when he learned that his foster parents were killed by the Italian Mafia. Then, he, his cousin, and the gang were on the run for three years while tried to get to New Orleans. That is until Princess Luna came and took him in, but he was forced to leave them behind and came here to Equestria."

"Yeah." Twilight said sadly, agrees. "I feel bad for him."

"And...two weeks ago after he was grounded..." Rainbow Dash said hesitantly. "He...he unintentionally...called me mom."

"WHAT?!" Twilight exclaims surprisingly.

"He didn't even know it." Rainbow Dash told her. "And now, I was thinking about it. He was basically an orphan since his real parents abandoned him and his foster parents were killed, also his cousin and the gang were heading to New Orleans while laying low."

"So, are you saying that...you're wanting to adopt Storm Hawk as your own foal?" Twilight asked, earned a nod from Rainbow Dash as she came over and hugged her. "You're doing the right thing, Rainbow Dash. Storm Hawk needs somepony to love him and care for him. And I believe that you are the pony."

"Yeah." Rainbow Dash said. "I'm sure Storm Hawk will appreciate it. But, he's still worried about his cousin and his gang."

"Well, I've got a letter from Princess Luna." Twilight informed her, used her magic to levitate the parchment.

And as Twilight opens the parchment, she and Rainbow Dash read it.

Twilight Sparkle,

After receiving a letter from you two weeks ago, I was able to find Antoine and his gang, which it really took a while to find them. I'm happy to report they left New Jersey few weeks ago after earned enough money for another trip. It was enough for them to head for Virginia, where Comet's old parents resides.

And I'm aware that Storm Hawk is worried about them. Please, give this to Rainbow Dash so she'll tell him since Storm Hawk has the right to know.

I hope Storm Hawks receives the news.

Princess Luna

After they finished reading the parchment, Rainbow Dash felt happy and relieve to hear the good news of Storm Hawk's cousin.

"That's great to hear that they made it that far." Rainbow Dash said.

"Well, they still have long ways to get to New Orleans. Storm Hawk does have the right to know and hoping that he gets the news." Twilight told her, giving the parchment to her. "You should let him know about it."

"Yeah." Rainbow Dash replied, grabbing the parchment. "But...he might slow me down on becoming a Wonderbolt."

"Don't worry about it, Rainbow." Twilight assures her. "If you wanting to have Storm Hawk stay over with somepony if you do become one, you could ask either me or one of my friends to watch over him."

"I...I guess I don't have a problem with that." Rainbow Dash said. "So, how do I become his legal parent?"

"I think I know who can help you with that." Twilight said with a smile.

Meanwhile, Storm Hawk was hanging out with his friends whenever they have to chance to relax and not busy. They're hanging out at the lake which Storm Hawk was thinking about something which it got Comet's attention.

"Storm Hawk?" Comet called him, earned his attention. "Is something wrong?"

"Oh, hey Comet." Storm Hawk greets with a sad smile. "I was just thinking."

"About what?" Comet asks again.

"It's Rainbow Dash." Storm Hawk answered.

"What about her?" Comet asks, realized why. "Storm Hawk...You mean..."

"I probably called her mom." Storm Hawk replied. "But it's an accident, it just slipped out."

"Well, Rainbow Dash is startin' to look at ya more often than she does some either weather managin' or practicin' new moves." Apple Shine points out, came to them. "And we can tell ya two are pretty close."

Storm Hawk knew that the Texan filly was right as they gathered around the colt. He then decided to tell them.

"It's just for some reason...Ever since Princess Luna takes me to Equestria and Rainbow Dash took me in under her wing...I'm starting to see her more than a friend...I'm seeing Rainbow Dash as my mom." Storm Hawk explains, leaving them shocked.

Then confirmed their suspicions: Storm Hawk is seeing Rainbow Dash as his mother. Ever since Princess Luna helped Antoine and the gang have Storm Hawk live in Equestria and Rainbow Dash took care of him, he became close to her and starting to see her as his mother.

"But I can't accept it right now, I've only been here for a month, and I already missed my cuz' and his gang. I'm still worried." Storm Hawk said sadly.

"We understand, Storm Hawk. We know you're worried, but that want you to be happy instead of going on the run." Rose Lotus told him with a smile. "And I'm sure they want what's best for you."

"We'll be there to help you make sure you have a good life." Winter Breeze adds. "We're your friends, Storm Hawk and we care about you."

The CMC, Rose Lotus, Comet, and Apple Shine nods with an agreement as they pulled Storm Hawk in for a group hug with a caring smile. Storm Hawk then sniffled in tears with a smile on his face.

"Thanks guys, you guys are the best friends a guy could ever ask for." Storm Hawk thanked them, wiping his tears.

"Yer welcome, Storm Hawk." Apple Bloom said with a smile. "But it's not too late to tell her. Ah'm sure Rainbow Dash would take ya in."

"Yeah, she did take you in for about a month ago." Scootaloo adds. "And I'm sure she feels the same."

Storm Hawk can only respond with a nod. Until, Rainbow Dash managed to find the colt after having a little help with Twilight about becoming a legal parent while looking for him.

"Hey, Storm Hawk." Rainbow Dash greets him when she lands. "Mind if I talk to you?"

"Uh...sure?" Storm Hawk answered, confused. "What is it?"

"Well." Rainbow Dash started. "I was thinking about something. Do you...enjoy living with me?"

"Yeah, I guess so." Storm Hawk answered. "Why?"

"Well, you have been enjoying yourself after reunited with Comet." Rainbow Dash explains. "And, I know you missed your cousin, but I've got a parchment from Princess Luna. She's got news about your cousin."

Rainbow Dash then extends the parchment to Storm Hawk as he grabs it and reads it. After Storm Hawk reads the parchment, he was glad to hear that Antoine and his gang got enough money traveling more while keeping low profile to get to Virginia. When he finished reading the parchment, Storm Hawk looked at Rainbow Dash.

"Well, it's awesome to hear that they made it that far. At least they manage to get away from the Italian Mafia." Storm Hawk said with a smile.

"Yep, but hey, they're tough guys. And they'll do what they can to get to New Orleans." Rainbow Dash told him. "But, there is one thing I would like to ask you."

"And that is?" Storm Hawk asked.

"Storm Hawk, how would you feel if I adopted you?" Rainbow Dash asked the colt.

Storm Hawk was now shocked after Rainbow Dash asking him if she adopted him. It makes Storm Hawk unsure if he should do it, but he's taking a lot of mixed emotions.

"Storm Hawk?" Rainbow Dash called him, used her hoof to make him look at her. "Are you okay?"

"You...you really want to be my mom?" Storm Hawk asked.

"Storm Hawk. Two weeks ago, when I take you to bed, you...unintentionally called me mom when I was about to leave the room." Rainbow Dash explains, leaving Storm Hawk surprised. "Like Comet, you've had a rough life in Brooklyn. You were abandoned by your real parents and taken in by your foster parents. And yeah, you've made a friend while help out take out the bullies your age. And years ago, you were forced to drop out of school while on the run with your cousin and his friends because of the Italian Mafia."

"Yeah, I know." Storm Hawk confirms, aware of his dark past. "I...I guess I was upset that my foster parents were killed and have to leave my cousin and his gang behind. I guess I said it without thinking."

"Well, Storm Hawk? How would you like to be my son?" Rainbow Dash asked again.

Storm Hawk was thinking about. Ever since Storm Hawk came to Equestria after Princess Luna altered his appearance, Rainbow Dash took him in after the explanation, gave him a home, sent him to school so he'll make some friends and reunite with Comet, teaching him how to fly, made him meals, and is now wanting to be his new mother which it got him completely stunned. Storm Hawk knows that Rainbow Dash wouldn't replace his foster parents, but now he had a chance to be loved by somepony, like his foster parents and his cousin did. Storm Hawk looked up to Rainbow Dash and nodded her with an answer. The CMC squeal happily, Apple Shine, Winter Breeze, Comet, and Rose Lotus smiled in tears, feeling happy for Storm Hawk.

"Don't worry, Storm Hawk. I won't let anything bad happen to you." Rainbow Dash said, picked him up with a smile and hugged him.

"Thank you...mom." Storm Hawk thanked her and hugged her in return.

Storm Hawk was happy that Rainbow Dash would want to be his mother. He could feel her shedding some tears onto his head, knowing they were tears of joy.

With Rainbow Dash got permission from Storm Hawk, she got the official paperwork sighed for her adopting him as her own son. Storm Hawk deserved to be cared for, and she was going to be the Pegasus to take care of him. Even her friends, her godson, and the Princesses were happy for her and Storm Hawk, knowing that he would be in good hooves.

Rainbow Dash was just about to put Storm Hawk to bed, but then she got to thinking.

"Storm Hawk, would you like to sleep with me tonight?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Really?" Storm Hawk asked, looked up at her.

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Rainbow Dash told him, causing Strom Hawk to smile and nods as she waved a hoof. "C'mon then, kid. Let's get to bed."

They came into the room Storm Hawk and Rainbow Dash shared, and they got into the same bed. They snuggled close together. Rainbow Dash was just about to go off to sleep until...

"Goodnight, mom." Storm Hawk said.

Rainbow Dash looked at Storm Hawk. She smiled at him and then she leaned in, kissed him on the forehead.

"Goodnight, Storm Hawk." Rainbow Dash said, hugged him and fell asleep.

That's it for the 28th chapter. I know it's short, but I think it's worth it for making this chapter.
