Ghoul Break, With Family and Friends:
A Good Time With the Awesome Girlfriend…NOT

Amity was dancing to the owl house, a big smile dancing across her face. The young witch was on cloud nine, because today was the day, her day. Today was the day she got to babysit Luz!

Best of all, she had talked Eda into leaving King at home. That meant she had her little batata all to herself!

Oh the plans Amity had for the day; she would treat Luz to her favorite meal at her favorite diner, and then take her to her secret hideout for a private reading of the first book in the Azura Series. Finally, Amity would take her little light to their special spot and watch the stars come out.

OH yes, today was the day Amity showed Luz that she wasn't just an awesome girlfriend, but an incredible mother!

"Am-Am!" A bright and cheerful voice knocked the witch out of her head.

Amity laughed heartily as she felt the small body barreled into her. She thought ahead, and had used some of her Abomination goo to brace herself, just in case something like this happened.

"Hi Luz!" Amity replied cheerfully. "How is my favorite little human doing?"

Amity didn't let Luz reply as she picked her up and swung her around playfully. The "Knocked-down" human giggled heartily from this action and this caused Amity's heart to soar. She set her girlfriend down and gave a quick peck on the cheek. The usually open human suddenly turned shy as a blush went across her face and she bashfully looked to the ground.

Amity could feel her own blush creeping across her face; she found this little act even more adorable at Luz's current age.

"Ready go, batata?" Amity asked cheerfully, and laughed when Luz nodded her head fast.

"Amity Bright, before you go, my family and I would like to have words with you."

Amity immediately snapped to her full height and looked to the Owl house. Lilith, her old teacher, was giving her a stare that she was all too familiar with. And when the former head had used that tone just now it triggered some old habits, and she marched into the house.

Luz, confused by her girlfriend's behavior, just followed her as she tilted her head in a cute way.

Amity took a seat on the couch and kept her eyes on her lap. She took a minute to steady her nerves before she looked up. She flinched when she saw eight pairs of eyes on her.

Eda took a step forward and said, in a quite formal tone, "Amity, my sister had told me that you have a nasty habit that might rear its head when you're looking after my Luzura."

Amity gave the elder witch her full attention; she knew when Eda spoke out of character or used names it meant she was serious.

Surprisingly, Eda was done, took a step back and Lilith took the stage. Amity saw that her ex-teacher had a slightly softer look in her eyes than Eda, but still gave her a stare that invoked old memories.

"We're not trying to be suspicious, however-" the former coven head leaned down and scooped Luz into her arms. She planted a kiss on the "knocked-down" human's forehead before continuing on with Amity. "-We are entrusting you with a very precious member of our family and we can't afford to take risks. The last few days prove that Luz is a handful, at any age."

Another one of Amity's old habit's kicked in, and she suddenly saw this as a challenge. If she was going to prove just how capable of a mother she was to her own girlfriend, then her extended family was just some goal she had to reach and overcome.

So, she jumped to her feet and did an Emperor's Coven sluate. "I, Amity Blight would stake my family name…no, my very ideas as a witch of the Boiling Isles, that nothing will happen to Luzura Clawthorne-Noceda while under my care."

Amity nearly smirked when she noticed the sourness on Eda's face, but kept things professional.

The Clawthorne sisters exchanged uncertain looks, but in the end their hands were tied. Luz has been looking forward to this all morning, and, in the end, this whole setup was suggested by Amity.

So, with reluctance, and quick kisses on the forehead from both older witches, Luz was handed off to her girlfriend. Amity struggled to keep a groan in, unprepared for just how heavy the "knocked-down" human was. But that was all forgotten when Luz hugged her girlfriend and Amity squealed internally.

The young witch hurried outside and put Luz on her staff. After going through the usual prep the couple take to the air.

"Remember! No tricks!" Lilith called out as she hurried out of the Owl House.

The uncertain feeling between the sisters hadn't gone away, but thankfully they saw their mother give a command to Roca. That put their nerves at ease somewhat, as they watched the stone sleeper begin to follow the two.

(A few minutes after reaching Bonesborough)

"I CAN'T BELIEVE I LOST MY GIRLFRIEND!" Amity screamed as she pulled her hair.

It has been roughly 10 minute since the two had reached town and things were going good. But Amity had gotten distracted when her scroll had gone off in the personalized ringtone she had set when it was a family member trying to get ahold of her.

it was a false alarm, and was just her older siblings wanting an update on Luz. Amity had decided to block her entire family, temporarily, so she could focus on Luz, and looked down at her little human.

Amity's heart and Bile-sac nearly jumped out of her chest when she didn't see Luz by her side. Panicking, she began a frantic search of the area and couldn't find Luz anywhere!

Amity's panic reached heights never seen, and she spun a spell. Abomination goo came from her gourd and twisted around her legs. She shot up to six feet and took off running, leaving a trail of fiery goo in her wake.

What Amity failed to notice was that Luz was behind her, just a mere three-feet away.

"Am-Am?" Luz asked, tilting her head in a cute manner.

"Luz! LUZ! LUZURA CLAWTHORNE-NOCEDE!" Amity called frantically, head snapping in all directions.

It hasn't been a full two-minutes and Amity had traveled across half of Bonesborough, but still haven't seen one hair of her little girlfriend. Each second felt like a week to the young witch and with more time passing, her heart beat faster.

"Eda's going to kill me. Lilith's going to kill me! The Clawthornes are going to KILL ME!" Amity suddenly came to a dead-stop, her eyes widening as a very bad thought popped into her head. "FORGET THEM! LUZ'S GOING TO DUMP ME WHEN SHE'S BACK TO NORMAL! I GOTTA FIND HER!"

Amity was about to get back to her search when she saw a coven scout walk by her, giving her a look. She stared at the scout as she remembered a text-chat she had with Willow last night. The plant witch had said that Luz had somehow gotten ahold of Hunter's staff, and he came to get it after the Emerald Entrails' Flyer Derby match.

Amity's panic quickly turned to searing rage as her thoughts turned dark. It made sense (to Amity's current clouded head), that Belso would make use of Luz's "knocked-down" status. He probably wants to brainwash one of his greatest enemies into his greatest tool.

The hexside student let out a near feral growl as she did another spell circle, and more goo began to overtake her body. "That scout must have been there to distract me as his friends took my little Luzura."

Amity looked towards the sky, in the direction of the castle. Yes, if those so-called witches had harmed one hair on her little batata's head their heads will roll.

Nine figures walked towards the table at the center of the room they're in, ominous blue fire springing to life as they gathered around. Once all nine were gathered in their designated spots, a massive wall of blue fire erupted in front of them, and when it died down, the mighty emperor himself, accompanied by the rhythmic heartbeat of the very giant itself, appeared.

By Emperor Belos's side, like usual, were his most trusted aides; to his right, Hunter, the Golden Guard, unmasked. On his left, Kikimora, looking a little dejected.

The nine coven heads waited for their emperor to speak to them. After a tense minute, the all mighty "witch" inhaled slightly and his eyes glowed blue.

"My dear, loyal coven heads-," Belos said, his voice regal, "-We have come far in such a short time. But we can't relax, there is still much that needs to be done. The coming days will test each and everyone of us in ways we have never seen before. I'm confident that each of you will-"

Belos took a moment, paused and looked behind him. Though his face couldn't be seen thanks to his mask, one of his eyebrows was cocked.

"Does anyone else hear that?" he asked, his regal tone dropping.

No sooner did those words leave the emperor's mouth did the wall behind him exploded.

"AMITY SMASH!" the youngest Blight screamed, as she pushed herself through the wall, and sent the emperor flying.

The coven heads, mostly, managed to get out of the way as their lord and savior went through the wall, and continued onwards. The others could hear poor Raine Whispers' cries as they were dragged with the emperor they were (secretly) opposising.

The eight heads looked as the emperor disappeared from view, and turned back to the intruder. Amity was yelling inchoate babble and doing some very odd body movements; one second she would be flailing her arms widely and the next she was doing the egyptian walk dance. She ended this weird stunt by thrusting her head back, rolling her tongue in her mouth and holding what appears to be a "fishing" net.

The eight heads just stared at their intruder, flabbergasted at this sight. It was Terra Snapdragon that recovered first, scoffing at the sight.

"Would someone translate? I will be up all night."

Surprisingly, it was Eberwolf, wearing a bowler hat, a monocle, and sipping on a fine English teacup, who replied…in a proper English accent.

"Well, old-bean, it's rather quite simple; Eda the Owl Lady used a rejuvenation potion to destress her young charge by making her even younger. Now, this fine young lady had lost her in a panic attack and is under the impression that we had taken her with the intent to brainwash her against her mother-figure-turned-actual-mother."

Everyone, Amity included, looked at the beast keeper-head, stunned silence because of his act. They exchanged stares and then looked back at Eberwolf. The beast-like demon had returned back to usual self; he sat on all four and titled his head as he let out a questioning growl.

The shock, finally wearing off, and Hunter decided to take charge before things got out of hand again.

"Blight, we don't have your human," the grimwalker stated calmly. "We barely left this room in the last four days."

Amity snapped her head in the Golden Guard's direction and made every weapon known to witchkind (and several known to monkeys) out of her goo.

"Like I would believe that!" Amity snapped fiercely.

"Oh for Titan's sake!" Darius grunted in frustration.

The coven had thrust out of his right arm and made a fist. Amity's abomination goo exploded off of her body and quickly snapped around the young witch and made restraints. She was next brought forward so the two abomination witches were looking into each others' eyes.

"Listen here, brat," Darius growled with authority. "We don't have your little girlfriend. We spend this entire week and beyond planning out next year's covention. Trust me when I say…THIS WAS SOMETHING YOUR FORMER TEACHER EVEN LOATHED!"

With his peace said, Darious pushed Amity away and put her abomination goo into her gourd. The head of the potion coven was the next to speak.

"And the rejuvenation potion only regresses one's body and emotional state. To brainwash someone using that method would take weeks."

The Oracle head nodded and spoke next. "Now let's talk about damages. Will you be able to pay out of your pocket, or should we bill Blight Industries?"

Amity's thoughts turned dark, and her vision became so red that she couldn't even see outlines. With a low growl, she spun a circle and recreated her abomination armor. She crutched low and pumped her abomination legs with some power.

With a mighty, primal roar, Amity released all her stored power and jumped. The heads watched as she cleared every single ceiling in the castle in one bound and then jumped out of sight.

"COME ON, BLIGHT!" Hunter screamed once his shock wore off. "YOU ALREADY MADE TWO HOLES! WHY NOT GO THROUGH ONE OF THEM!"

The coven heads relaxed after Amity was gone. They were secretly happy for this little distraction, from the usual groan-inducing task.

"That's going to be one stressed out mama," the Illusionist head said offhandedly, and looked at the hole the emperor made. "Anyone want to make a bet on how far the Emperor was thrown?"

"That's a sucker's bet," Darius retorted and then put on a manic smile. "But I hope that songbird went far."

(You would to wait for the next chapter to see what happened to Belos, but…here's Raine)

Raine stumbled out of a storage room, holding their head. They gave it a quick shake as they looked around. Surprisingly, the young bard was wearing a hot pink cape and a bat mask with purple glitter on it

"Where am I? Who am I?" Raine mumbled as the fog in their eyes began to clear. "Right, I am Raine Whispers, leader of the BATTs. But secretly, I'm the figurehead of the rebellion, and my cousin Darius is the true mastermind behind the entire-"

They might have gone on if someone hadn't come up behind them and knocked them out with resounding bonk to the head. (Also that would later be known as the Bonk Heard around the Demon World…part 5) With a moan the young bard fell to the ground, revealing his attack to be none then…

"Steve knows nothing but Steve still acts. STEVE!" Steve screamed as he thrust his trusty pipe to the sky.

"Ahh, it's good to be home," Obalia softly mused as she stepped into her husband's workspace.

The sight she came into caused her some alarm; Alador was working on his latest project, which was nothing new. No, the thing that was causing her stress was how focused the twins were being. Her oldests only got that way when they wanted to play a prank.

"What are you two planning this time?" Obalia asked calmly as she walked up to the twins.

"Oh greetings, mother," Emria said in a clearly fake proper tone. "Edria and I are planning out a day when it's our turn to babysit for a friend."

The warning alarms in the back of Odalia's head got louder, but decided not to continue the chat with her older children. She did make a note to call the Fire-keeping Coven later, and turned to her husband. She was curious about what her husband had been working on during her business trip.

She didn't get to ask as Amity suddenly burst through the wall, arms flailing widely.

"WHERE IS SHE! WHERE IS LUZ!" Amity screamed.

Odalia wasn't phased by her youngest outburst. Instead, she stood up to her full height and placed her hands behind her back.

"AMITY BLIGHT!" She spoke in a firm tone. "Settle down this instant!"

Old habits kicked in and Amity returned to normal. She continued to glare at her mother, fingers twitching as she prepared to fight if needed.

"Now," Odalia said calmly but firmly. "I have been away for nearly a week. I need you to explain what is causing you to act in such a manner."

"Like you don't know-," Amity spitefully spat at her mother, "-That Eda knocked down Luz to destress her and let her have some fun during Ghoul break And it was my turn to babysit her today and you kidnapped her while my back was turned!"

Odalia could feel her fury threatening to break though her mask, not for the reason one might think. She knew what the term "knocked-down" meant and was irritated that Eda would have such a thing on her.

But that wasn't her main source of irritation. No, what was causing such irritation was the realization of what Amity had actually done.

"Amity Blight, your actions are suggesting that you panicked, again, and left a child behind," Odalia stated, not even bothering to hide her growing irritation.

Amity suddenly hugged herself as she looked down, not able to deal with the matching looks of disappointment her entire family was giving her. "I don't panic…anymore-much," each word out of her mouth got lower and more uncertain.

"Sorry, mittens, but it sounds like you did," Emria retorted after exchanging looks with her brother.

Amity could feel her regret growing. She was warned about this by her former teacher and her sister, but she still succumbed to it.

"Sorry…" she muttered, more to Luz than to her family.

"You better be, young lady," Odalia replied sternly and then pointed at the hole her daughter made. "Now, get going and find that human."

"Why do you suddenly care what happens to Luz?" Amity asked pointedly.

"I DON'T!" Odalia screamed, veins popping across her forehead. "But your actions could have far-reaching consequences that could negatively impact the family's name!"

Amity growled at her mother's words. Of course she would make it about the family, which meant that Obalia was making it about her.

"I mean, how do you think it would reflect on us when our inner circle learns that the youngest Blight, one who read to CHILDREN daily, couldn't keep her eyes on a defenseless lower creature," Odalia ranted, as she paced in front of Amity. "Now go. Find that creature and return her to that powerless criminal!"

Amity growled as her mother pointed at the hole again. But said nothing, figuring getting back to Luz was more important than her growing animosity with her mother.

She spun a circle and recreated her armor for the third time in the spine of the last thirty minutes. She smirked in her mother's direction before she jumped through the ceiling of the entire manor.

"AMITY BLIGHT! HOW THE COMMON DECENCY TO EXIT THROUGH THE HOLE YOU ALREADY CREATED!"

Odalia went into another rant as her family broke apart and went back to their own activities.

Amity returned to the street where she last saw Luz and collapsed. Her A-Goo fell off her body and dissolved into the ground a second later. It has been less than 30-minutes, and she was exchanged mental, emotionally and magically. But she couldn't falter, not now, not when Luz was still out there.

"Am-Am!" Luz screamed as she tackled Amity.

Relief washed over the young witch and she felt her adrenaline spike as she began to check her "knocked-down" girlfriend over. Except for some soda foam around her mouth (hopefully a non-dairy product), Luz was unharmed.

Amity suddenly heard footsteps and looked up to see Boscha and her old click coming to them. Adrenaline once again spiking, she jumped to her feet and readied herself for a fight. Thankfully, Skara stepped forward to defuse the situation before it got out of hand.

"Amity, calm down," the young bard said softly. "All we did was look after Luz when you ran off."

Amity relaxed slightly as she could tell her old friend was being genuine. Suddenly Boscha flew up to her, a look of intense anger on her face.

"Now take that monster home!" Boscha basically screamed in her ex-friend's face.

Fueled by whatever adrenaline was left in her body, Amity ready herself for a fight. She blinked and took a step-and-a-half back, to get a good look at Bosha. The potion student's outfits had many cuts and tears in them. She also had some light bruising on her face and a black eye.

The real eye-catcher, however, was Boscha's right leg. It has been sent into a cast that went past the knee and was covered in healing glyphs.

"What happened to you?" Amity asked, genuinely concerned for her old friend.

"I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT!" Boscha screamed and decided she had enough.

The former friends watched as the three-eye demon began to fly away. Suddenly, a small scale replica of the titan's skull fell on her.

"Huh, what do you know, the titan's skull did crush her," Cat muttered offhandedly.

"I'M OKAY!"

Amity just sighed as she felt the last of her adrenaline wear off and looked at Luz. "Well, since my day with you is ruined, let's get you home."

Amity was about to tell Ghost to turn into her staff when Roca appeared from the rooftops. The young witch was grateful for the rare creature's appearance; she was feeling the effect of overusing her magic and spots were dancing across her eyes.

Amelia made a platform out of pants and Cat and Skara helped Amity onto the sleeper. Next, the plant track student used some vines to tie the exchanged witch and "knocked-down" human to Roca and he took that as his cue to head towards the owl house.

Amity was nearly out of it, her magic pushed beyond their limits, but she still felt it when Luz began to cuddle with her.

"Wuve you," Luz muttered adorably, which caused a small smile to grace Amity's lips.

(M Corner)

Sorry for the lack of Lumity cuddles in this chapter, but have no fear, Amity's role in this story isn't over it. And if you're wondering about Raine…well, that's a little headcanon of mine. I couldn't help but feel like Darius is the true leader of the rebellion, and Raine was meant to be a figurehead, until the coven head saw what they brought to the table and permanently recruited them to the cause. Also if you spot the references I put in, you are older than me.
