A Second Try with the Girlfriend
Amity walked into the Slaygrounds (or Scare-grounds, if you are talking to a certain Owl Lady), and looked around. Once she was sure she was alone, or not within eyesight of anyone her family might know, she took off her concealment stone bracelet. The spell ended a few seconds later and Amity's usual outfit was replaced with the clothing Lilith made her wear during her "punishment".
While she would never say it outloud, Amity had taken quite the liken to the outfit. It was more comfortable than most of the high-designer outfits her mother made her wear, even her standard outfit. It was also easy to slip into, which she liked very much, given that her body was still on the mend from the other day.
The outfit had some visible alterations to it; it now fitted Amity like a glove, in comparison for the slightly ill fit it was when first she wore it. The words 'not' and 'such' had been scrabbled out, leaving only "an awesome Girlfriend" left. Finally, she wore red and black shoes in a style similar to Luz's, because the sandals she wore before were falling apart.
"Am-Am!"
Amity turned around and smiled broadly when she saw Eda, Lilith and Luz stroll into the slaygrounds. The young witch could tell that her "knocked-down" human girlfriend wanted nothing more than to tackle her big girlfriend in a hug, but Lilith had a firm grip on her niece.
"Nice look, boots," Eda said in a strained voice as she fiercely scratched her hair.
Amity frowned as she looked at the Necoda-family and noticed a member missing. "Miss Lilith, wasn't I going to watch King as well?"
The former coven head sighed and looked at Luz. She looked back at her old student and replied, with a half-hearted smile, "Yes, but last night's Howling rainstorm took more out of my nephew than my niece, so he stayed home to catch up on his sleep."
Amity nodded and blinked as she watched her former teacher fix a simple, blue hair clip on her little girlfriend's head, and notice something; Luz was wearing a down-scaled version of her usual outfit.
Whatever question the young Blight had, died when she saw her girlfriend fidgeting in Lilith's hold. The former leader saw this as well, and put a commanding hold on Luz's shoulder.
"Luzura, I know you want to hug Amity," the eldest Clawthorne sister said with parental authority, "But you must remember that Amity might not be able to handle your unique brand of welcome."
Luz looked at her aunt with a strange mix of an angry pout and puppy-dog eyes. Amity could feel her face heating up as she imagined that expression on Luz's normal face. Lilith, however, wasn't falling from the face and refused to let the human go.
Amity saw this and quickly formed a plan. She took a few steps forward and got down on her knees, trying not to wince as still slightly sore muscles acted up. She slowly spread out her arms in a welcoming gesture and Lilith got the idea.
She walked up to Amity, until there was only a two inch divide and she let Luz go. The human witch ran into her girlfriend's hug. Because the gasp was so small, Luz couldn't build momentum, but Amity still felt some of her muscles pop from the weight of Luz body as she leaned into Amity's embrace.
"Wuve you, Am-Am," Luz said cutely, and peeked her big girlfriend on the cheek.
Amity could feel her entire face heat up, and realized that, regredly of age, Luz could still make her react in such a manner. It truly spoke volume to the two's feelings, but it was also a bit embarrassing for Amity.
Thankfully, Lilith cleared her throat, to get her former student's attention. Amity stood up and took Luz's hand in her own and looked Lilith in the eyes. Though the raven witch was looking at the Hexside student sternly, there was a concern buried deep within Lilith's mismatched eyes.
"But all right Amity, you should be home resting," Lilith stated seriously, but her expression softened when she looked at Luz. "But we don't want Luz's last day rejuvenated being indoors and with both of your siblings catching your father's Fire-Flu and the rest of your friends busy, can I count on you to give Luz a good day?"
Amity opened her mouth to give her former teacher a reply, and closed it. She realized this a repeat of her first try babysitting her girlfriend; she got overzealous and lost sight of Luz.
"I'll try my best," Amity replied after a moment, and with a reassuring smile.
Lilith smiled at this and her expression softened some more. She opened her mouth to say something but Eda jumped in front of her older sister.
"Listen here, Blight," Eda said seriously, jabbing a finger in Amity's direction. "My sister may want to give you another go, but before we bolt, I have something I need to get off of my chest."
The owl lady drew herself up to her full height and Amity couldn't help but squirm a bit at this. Something about Eda in full-blown mother mode scared the young Blight.
"If I find that you pulled a stunt like last time, I will use one of my potions to knock you down and give you a good spanking!" Eda spite, emphasizing the word spanking, and then held out a hand. "Lily, glyph me."
Lilith rolled her eyes but did hand her sister a plant glyph. Eda was quick to cast the spell and a vine wrapped around Amity and Luz's wrists.
Amity scowled at the owl lady. The intent behind the action was all too simple; Luz wasn't tied to Amity, Amity was tied to Luz. It was insulting really; Amity was the current older one in the relationship, but she was being treated just as young if not younger than her girlfriend.
Still, she bit back any retort she had and watched as Eda walked up to a nearby bench, no doubt to try and fix whatever was wrong with her hair.
Lilith just sighed tiredly and looked at Amity. "Before we depart, do you have any questions?
"Actually," Amity replied, "Why is Luz wearing her usual outfit?"
Lilith smiled slightly as she took off a bag Amity just realized she was holding and gave it to her old student.
"That's a good question. See, the way Edalyn had planned it out, Luz was supposed to start her return process tomorrow morning, so she could get used to her body's natural dimensions. But since she botched dosage, we don't know if the process would start early."
"It's not my fault King snuck some of Luz's juice," Eda grumbled loudly.
Amity could tell that there was an argument brewing behind the sisters, but chose not to get involved. "Are there any signs I should look for?" she asked as she looked over the bag.
"Three signs, two common and one uncommon," Lilith replied. "The first sign is if Luz gets sleepy. When she falls asleep, check her hair. If you notice a slight shine it means Luz hair is returning to its normal length and the potion is wearing off. If that happens, tip the runestone in the bag against any piece of Luz's outfit and the clothes will grow with her."
Amity nodded as she put the bag over her shoulder, and looked at her former teacher. Something was telling her that the third one should be left alone, but her curiosity had gotten the best of her.
"If you're wondering about the third sign, just look in the bag," Lilith said, like she was reading her ex-student's mind.
Amity hesitated, but slowly opened the bag. She didn't even try to hide her disgust when she saw the change of underwear and pants.
"Pray to the titan the third sign doesn't happen," Lilith said with a small teasing smile and looked at Eda. "Come sister, your appointment with the hairdresser awaits."
Amity watched as the two older witches departed and looked in the bag one more time. With a disgusted grunt, she closed the bag and looked at Luz.
"Well, shall we?" Amity asked with a bright smile, and Luz returned the smile tenfold and with an eager nod.
Amity giggled as a light blush crept onto her face. Her girlfriend was cute, no matter the age, but she was super cute right now, and she must remember to get a picture for herself.
As the young couple left the slaygrounds, they were unaware of three "mysterious" cloaked figures watching them.
(Okay, I'm not even going to pretend not to know who those three are)
Since the three rebels were trying to keep themselves "hidden" they were talking by holding up signs.
Raine: Why are we trailing them?
Darius: Because of the hack's kid and her little girlfriend, security around the Palace had been tripled. That makes our jobs that much harder!
Eberwolf jumped onto Raine's shoulder and held up its sign.
Eberwolf: Who're you fooling Dairy? We all know you want to see that little cutie before she's back to normal. You're such a mama.
The abomination head's response was swift; he brought the actual hammer down on the beast-keeper. Raine was quick, spinning a spell, making Eberwolf float in the air and they stepped back as the abomination hammer slammed the demon into the ground. Darius changed his hand back to normal a second later, and they saw Eberwolf's body twitching, but he was otherwise fine.
Strangely, Eberwolf's cloak had moved enough that his mouth was showing and it had a goofy smile on its face. There was also a sign on it that read "worth it".
Darius huffed as he walked away and Raine let out a light sigh. They picked up the keeper and hurried after their cousin.

"Why does the titan want to curse me this week?" Amity grumbled dejectedly.
Things had started out fine, the couple had stopped at their usual eatery, and since Luz could now eat a lot more Isles food, she tried a murkey club. Amity couldn't stop laughing when her girlfriend dove face first into her sandwich.
Lilith had thought ahead and packed some cleaning supplies for just such a thing. She did take a picture before she cleaned her girlfriend's face.
It was after leaving the diner that things started to go wrong. The two had run into Tibbles and apparently he was still mad at being stuck in town square for nearly three days. Amity tried to defuse things by reminding Tibbles that she took him down after her punishment was over.
Tibbles was either too hung-up on the matter, or just too greedy (he said something about wanting to grab Eda's potions) as he readied himself for a fight.
Amity was hesitant to fight, as she was advised by Willia Oldstone not to use her magic unless needed, out of fear of agitating her condition. But that only caused Luz to step up and use one of her Abomiflowers glyphs to make short work of the con-artist.
The two left after that, Amity unwilling to stick around as a crowd was forming. If she had turned her head she would have seen an abomination take Tibbles and head to the town's square.
"I don't know what's more embarrassing, having Ed and Em as siblings, or having your current four-and-half-year-old girlfriend save you," Amity whispered bitterly.
The young Blight felt a tug on her pants leg and looked down. She couldn't help but smile when she saw her girlfriend's big, infectious smile. Amity's mood started to get lifted, especially when she saw the library coming into view.
Amity's good mood was quickly leaving her when she saw her boss talking to a couple of beast-keepers. She could also make out a yellow barrier spell over the doors.
"Malphas, what's going on?" Amity asked as they strolled up to the front doors.
The demon looked at his employee and let out a tired sigh. "It seems that mud scarabs have infected the library."
"What?" Amity screamed in shock. "But I thought that was taken care of?"
Malphas let out another tired sigh and took off his glasses to rub his eyes. "It was, but the Siltherbeast used was in an irritated state and missed a small nest."
Amity could feel her temper quickly rising, as she recalled the incident from a chat with one of her former friends. Before she could stop herself, her temper won out, and she threw her arms into the air, accidentally pulling Luz a bit.
"By the Titan's a-"
"Amity Blight!" Malphas scolded firmly, "She may be rejuvenated, but your girlfriend is currently a child, so watch what you say!"
"-Abdomen, I was going to say abdomen," Amity rebuttal angrily, glaring at her boss.
The young Blight took a few seconds to calm herself. "Can I send one of my abominations into the building so I can get a book?" she asked hopefully.
The demon librarian looked at the beast-keepers and one of them nodded, as the other readied to take down the spell. Amity smiled at this and began to create a circle. She ignored the nips of pain coming from her wrist and had to bite her lip to keep in the small outtake of air that threatened to escape her.
Amity was interrupted when Luz latched onto her and looked at her with big, pleading and puppy-dog eyes. "No magic, Am-Am," She pleaded cutely.
Amity sighed and let her spell fade. There was no way she could say no to that face, and let out another sigh. She thought about heading to the Book Nook, to see if she could borrow one of their books. She cursed under her breath when she remembered the owner close up on the last days of the Ghoul Break to visit family at the knee.
With a defeated sigh, the young Blight walked away, shoulder slumped. Malphas watched as Amity walked away, and couldn't help but feel bad for her. A sudden noise caught the demon's attention and looked at the library.
He watched as an abomination, with books, strolled out of the library, down the steps and followed Amity. A few seconds later a box made out of abomination goo wobbled by him. On the box, standing in a-looking out at the horizon pose-was Head Witch Eberwolf. A few seconds after that, Head Witch Whispers walked by, shoulders also slumped, and held up a sign.
Raine: Don't ask.
"...Wasn't going to," came Malphas dry reply.

Luz could tell her girlfriend was sad and if there was one she couldn't stand, at any age, was a sad girlfriend. She quickly made a plan and put the first-half into action; putting something in Amity's pocket when she wasn't looking.
With that task done, she tugged on Amity pants to get her attention. Luz then gestured for her girlfriend to get close, which she did.
"Boop," The "knocked-down" human touched her girlfriend on the noise, "You're it."
She then hurried down the street and stopped about five feet away from her girlfriend before Amity could wrap her head around it. She looked at the vine that was supposed to keep Luz and herself tethered together and saw the noose was still there.
"Why did they think this would work?" Amity muttered as she took off the vine and looked back at Luz. "Luz, come back here."
Luz shook her head and took a few steps back. The "knocked-down" human put on a smirk Amity knew all too well, and the abomination user couldn't help catching her girlfriend's infectious energy.
With a playful growl, Amity power-walked up to her girlfriend. Luz responded by walking backwards, keeping two feet between Amity and herself. Amity, in turn, would pick up her pace just a little, allowing her old sport experiences to keep her from irritating her condition.
Amity grinned when her girlfriend backed herself against a wall…literally. She quickly closed the gap and was about to nab Luz in a hug, when the "knocked-down" pulled out of her singure move; she activated a snow-jelly glyph she had under her foot and jumped over her big girlfriend.
Luz landed gracefully and quickly put another five between Amity and herself. Amity could feel a twitch of anger rising as she looked at Luz, who was waiting patiently.
"Luz that's not fair," Amity scolded, some of her frustration working its way into her voice "I can't use magic very well."
Luz just smiled as she pointed to her right pocket. Confused, Amity patted her pockets and gasped when she pulled out a small bunch of Luz's glyph papers. She looked at Luz, who was smiling like Eda does when she does something clever.
The human witch waited, rocking on the balls of her feet, as her girlfriend looked over her ammunition. Most of the glyphs she was given were standard, but Amity did find a few snow-jelly spells and abomiflowers spells. She frowned when she saw a glyph combo she didn't recognize.
Curious, she went to activate the spell and suddenly heard Luz gasp. "Amity, NO!" she screamed, voice close to her teenage self.
But it was too late, Amity activated the glyph and magic surged around her. She screamed as she rocketed forward and on a direct course with a mailbox. Thankfully, an abomination suddenly rose up and cushioned her impact.
The youngest Blight pulled herself free and gave her head a quick shake. She watched as the abomination sank into the ground, and wondered where it came from. She didn't notice the abomination box wobbling away as Luz ran up to her, concern shining in her eyes.
"I'm okay," Amity said, shaking off the event with a reassuring smile, which turned playful soon after. "Now, I'm getting you a ten-second head start. So you better start running before I get you."
The child-like wonder returned to the "knocked-down" human's eyes and she took off running.
Amity shook her head with a soft smile and made a note to talk to Luz about this glyph she created when she was back to normal. But that was for a later time, right now, she had a little girlfriend that needed chasing.
(A short Time Later)
In the end, the couple's game of magic chase took them to, ironically, the Grom tree. Unfortunately for Amity, she had run out of glyphs half-way through the chase, but Luz had gotten too far into the game, and refused to listen. Also, despite her best efforts, Amity was starting to fit worn down.
"Okay, Luz, you have your fun," Amity told her in a motherly fashion. "Now come down here."
Luz, having used a plant spell to make a make-shift swing to play on, just shook her head and stuck out her tongue playfully. Amity smiled as she shook her head, Luz was stubborn at any age, it seems.
The youngest Blight's smile turned mischievous as she held up her right hand. "Okay, but remember, you asked for this young lady," she said, barely hiding the mischievousness in her voice.
Luz gasped as her eyes regained some of their maturity, and with a short cry leapt down. She used her last snow-jelly spell to create a platform and bounce off of it…right in Amity's waiting arms.
"Got'cha!" the Blight exclaimed triumphantly, as she rolled onto the ground.
She then wrapped her girlfriend in a hug and began to tickle Luz without mercy. The "knocked-down" human began to laugh uncontrollably as she playfully struggled to free herself.
"No faiw! No Faiw!" Luz gasped out between her laughter.
Amity stopped her tickling, to allow her girlfriend to breath, and cocked an eyebrow.
"You want to talk about fair, little missy?" she retorted playfully. "You know my magic isn't that good at the moment, but you still used yours even after I ran out of glyphs. So how is that fair?"
"Sowwy not sowwy," Luz retorted in cute defiance.
"Oh, you're not sorry are you," Amity said mischievously. "Then I guess you need another visit from the tickle monster!"
Amity began her assault anew, causing Luz's laughter to fill the area. It wasn't long before Amity joined her, as Luz found her ticklish spot around her ribcage and began to dash it back. For the next few minutes the sound of laughter was all that could be heard, until the couple took a break for some much needed air.
Luz suddenly let out a yawn, and rested her head on Amity's shoulder. The young Blight watched as her girlfriend fell asleep. She waited about two minutes, and then checked her hair. When she didn't see Luz's hair shining, she reluctantly checked her bottom and found it dry.
"Either I finally see the limits of your energy or that howling rainstorm took more out of you then let on," Amity muttered with a soft smile.
Though it was a bit hard, she managed to pull herself up and walked over to the Grom tree. Once there she took a seat against it, and felt around Luz's waist. With a short cry, she pulled off the modified invisible glyph and one of the spare belts Luz and she had hidden around the Owl house appeared.
"I wonder what the Clawthorne would think if they knew about this new combo, or that you use it to hide so much around the house?" Amity wondered softly to herself, taking out a plant glyph.
She used the glyph to create a blanket of Softglows, the softest plants on the Isles and covered them with it. She set the alarm on her scroll, and settled in for a quick nap.
"I love you Amity," Luz muttered dreamily.
Amity smiled and, with a light blush on her face, leaned down and planted a kiss on her Girlfriend's head. "And I love you too, batata, no matter what age you are."
The Blight then let blissful sleep take her. It was a few minutes later that the rebel trio appeared, and Darius had his abomination put Amity's books next to her and he took a couple of pictures.
"At least I wouldn't be bonk today, not like the other times when I was around her," Raine muttered offhandedly as they took down their hood.
"StEvEeE," a creepy voice suddenly said next to Raine.
The bard's body tensed up and their eyes drifted to the left to see the bane of their existence. Raine took off running with a scream and Steve followed.
"Come on, my boss the titan said I need to fill a quota before this story's end, and you're my best bet!"
Eberwolf watched as his friend ran off, shrugged and held up a sign that read "that's all folks!"

Like I said, I saved the best for last. And plus I wanted to add papa Darius to mix. But, in all seriousness, this story is winding down, just a min-chapter and the epilogue and it is done. But don't worry, this wouldn't be the last you see of Little Luz/Luzura.
So, until next time, may the light of the Isles burn bright.
