The gun was now empty. No more rounds that can be used to shoot at people. Kōgami opened the chamber to his revolver that Masaoka lent him, but when Kōgami returned to the storehouse, he only found vase of carnation. He gritted his teeth, then decided to fled for SEAUn.
In the plane, his memory was still fresh. He kept repeating the images over and over in his head. The long, white hair that got flown in the wind, and Kōgami still remembered the words. As much as those words hurt him, he knew it was the right thing for him to do. But he realised there are more people like Shōgo out there. They could be anywhere, undetected. Blending with the masses. With the latest information that he possessed, since Sibly is currently being implemented in SEAUn, he has his focus set. He knew he need to go to SEAUn, to take down Sibyl.
An hour before his arrival, Kōgami closed his eyes. The stewardess were busy distributing in-flight meal to the passengers, but Kōgami couldn't care less. He murdered Shōgo with his own two hands, and somehow, it was a fitting ending to both of their story. But without the death of his rival, Kōgami wouldn't be able to realise the fitting truth; the very truth that led him to SEAUn to prevent Sibyl from taking over the country's governmental system.
After all, they were one and the same.
After all, it would be the perfect world that Shōgo would have wanted.
