What the hell?

Is the Mokuton some kind of indestructible material? Well, at least there was some comfort knowing Hashirama wasn't known as the God of Shinobi for nothing.

Damn it! She slammed her fist on a nearby table. After acquiring a sample of the Mokuton, which Hashirama was more than happy to provide, countless experiments were performed on it.

The conclusion?

Hashirama was a living freak of nature.

While the Mokuton seemed to be indistinguishable from your regular wood,it was far from normal.

The damn thing was near indestructible.

While it could be physically broken, a lot of force would be required. A lot of force would be required. When a small block of the Mokuton was thrown into a wood chipper, it was slightly cracked and the wood chipper required extensive repairs.

She had to apply nearly twenty tonnes of pressure on the small block before it even shattered at all.

Its ability to seal away large amounts of magic and chakra was another issue altogether.

As she scribbled away in her experiment log, she groaned in frustration as almost every attempt to destroy a Mokuton block the size of a dictionary ended in failure.

Incendio? The block immediately absorbed all the flames.

Suiton: Arekuruu kyuryu? After the water had subsided, the block was still very much intact.

Turning up the heat by utilising Inferno? The block was able withstand temperatures above 16,000 degrees Celsius for a period of 10 minutes before it started burning and eventually turned to ash after a few days.

Exposing it to Niflheim? The block had cooled to the temperature surrounding it for a while. After she had released the spell, the block was still intact after returning to normal temperatures. Thankfully, it had lost some of its structural integrity after the experiment.

Fyreay or Hellfire? The block of wood was slightly singed after exposure to the spells.

Exposure to Muspelheim? Around half the wood's mass was burnt off after exposure to the spell for around 5 minutes.

Explosions? The Mokuton was still intact.

The issue with the Mokuton wasn't the complexity of the methods used to destroy it. The Mokuton was damaged by the spells she threw at it, just that the damage was incredibly minuscule.

It could be damaged by any spell, but the extent of the damage inflicted would be extremely dependent on the power of the spell's caster.

It was true. She would not be able to achieve the power to destroy the Mokuton for a long, long time.

Some people are really born with it all, aren't they? At just five years her senior,he was in an entirely different class from your average prodigy.

Judging by the strength of the Mokuton, he could easily defeat some of the weaker members of The Flame of the Winter Frost.

Was he a demigod or something?

In addition to the Mokuton, he also had incredibly powerful vitality, even by Uzumaki standards. He was able to shrug off most mortal injuries by performing a Jutsu similar to Revitalisation.

It was crazy. Both him and the Mokuton were incredibly durable.

Seriously, this is a man who should be kept far, far away from the Lazarus Contract. If he ever gets his mitts on one, the world, starting with the Uchiha Clan would be double fucked.

A/N: There might be more or these. These should provide context for the next few chapters in The Sorceress of Konoha.
