There are many kinds of heroes throughout history, and even in today's modern world. Some heroes did it for fame, for honor, for love, for greed, for power, and for duty. But not us. For we are the unsung heroes. For we are the ones who cross the line for the many, can find salvation. For it is our duty to protect the people from invaders and, at times, themselves.

Hello Fellow Readers! I would like to say before we begin the chapter, that I do not own Rising of the Shield Hero or any other franchise's material that I used in my story. They belong to their rightful owners and publishers. The only thing that I do own is my OC (Own Characters). Also this is my first story ever posted on the website so please give me some feedback to help me improve on both my writing and how the website works. Other than that let the story begin. Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Chapter 1 First day at the job

"Oh, wow…"

I heard noises around me as I got up, trying to get [disoriented] the disorientation out of me. Green eyes finally able to adjust to the lighting of the room. There were men dressed up in some kind of priest robes, looking at me in wonders, and apparently awestruck.

"What the hell is this?"

Hearing a voice on my left side, I turned to see who was spoked. I discovered two other people here with me. By the look on their faces, they were on the same boat as I am. Clueless, on as to what's going on.

Rubbing my temple. Trying to remember what had led me to this. I had woken up in my apartment. I had called my little bro to see how everything was going on with the family. Afterward, I went out to cruise around the city. Finally, I was at the library, checking out any new books/manga, but then… 'Still fuzzy to remember.' I thought to myself, before finally adjusting my sight to see the room in front of me. The walls and the floor were made out of stone. With what I see for lighting, are…torches hanging across the chamber? Looking down at the ground, I notice some type of painting design that looks like a rip-off from Full Steel Alchemist.

'Wait? Why is a shield attached to my arm?' I finally noticed the armory strapped to my left arm. An emerald gem sat in the center of the shield. Before I can go any further, I was cut off from shouting, from our… summoners?

"We have done it!"

"We have summoned our saviors!"

By the Holy Light! We did it!"

Ding

Hearing a metal noise hitting the ground, which was ignored by the priests' shouting. I saw a small metal cylinder object between the summoners and us. Looking closer at the object, it looks like, 'Wait isn't that a-'

"Oh Heroes! Please save our-"

'FLA-!'

*Bang/Zing!*

"MY EYES!"

"I'M BLIND!"

"WHAT!"

"I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"

"WHAT!?"

'IT WAS A BLOODY FLASHBANG!' I shout to myself as I scream from my first experiences.

After that little fiasco with the flashbang, the summoners had to lead the other two heroes and myself to a humongous door. Looking at the design, maybe it is the throne room of this castle. Looking at my shield again. I started to remember where I saw it. 'The book from the library! It had the exact images of the four heroes' weapons.' I thought to myself before looking at the other two with me.

The one with the spear looks like a pretty boy that will make any girl fall head over heels with. He has long blond hair tied in a ponytail with strangely red eyes. For clothing, he is wearing a white T-shirt with a red cross unbuttoned long sleeve shirt, a necklace, brown casual pants, and brown mix with red sneakers.

The last one with the swords reminds me of the character in Blade Skill Online. He has short dark hair with a mix of dark blue that reaches below his neck and has blue eyes. For his wears, it's a dark blue jacket with a black turtleneck t-shirt, blue pants, black boots.

As for our missing bow member… 'He's still missing in action since his stunt early.' I thought to myself. Before I could think more about it, we were already in front of the king that brought me out of my funk.

"So these are the four-" The King paused to only see three out of four heroes that are present in the throne room. "Where is the last Hero? The Hero of the Bow?"

Before I could comply, the summoner beat me to it. "My king, we did succeed in summoning all four Heroes here. Yet before we can explain to them, the Bow Hero used some kind of magic to blind us and rob us of our hearing. Before we knew it, he vanished."

Before the king could say a word out, the throne room doors opened urgently.

"My King! Urgent news!" A man in armor with a cape on his shoulder barged in.

"What is it, knight commander!"

Catching his breath before he replied. His answer, "My men and I believe that the Bow Hero had escaped! My King!"

"What! How!" The king shouted/demanded.

"My men found a rope tied to the castle pillar. When we investigated further, it led outside of the window all the way to the bottom of the castle garden. "

"We must find him, quickly! Order every able man to search for him! Our very world depends on it!" The king orders his commander before looking right back at us. "I am terribly sorry about this, Heroes. While my men search for the Bow Hero, let me introduce myself. I am the king of these lands, Aultcray Melromarc XXXII." Aultcray announces his present toward us, before continuing his speech. "I beg of you to save our world from the threat that threatens us all. You will be rewarded handsomely. Furthermore, we will compensate you all to assist in your endeavor." Said king Aultcray while the rest of us just nod in understanding before he continued.

"Now then Heroes, what are your names?"

"Amaki Ren, but my first name is Ren. I'm sixteen years old. I'm a high school student." Spoke the Hero of the sword now named Ren.

"Name Kitamura Motoyasu, first name is Motoyasu. I'm twenty-one years old, and I'm in university." Said the Hero of the spear now named Motoyasu.

Before I could introduce myself, the king spoke.

"Ren and Motoyasu, correct?"

"Your Grace, you've forgotten me?" I said as respectfully as possible without sounding rude.

"Ah, my apologies, Shield Hero. Please tell me your name?" He replied to me. Yet at the last second, I could've sworn he was smirking at me. However, I just played it off as my imagination.

"Right my name is-"

Somewhere in the kingdom Castle halls.

"Oh, I hope they find the missing Bow Hero soon," said a maid to herself as she walked the halls towards her destination. For her, it was an exciting experience to meet the heroes of legends in person. Sure she didn't meet them, but she did manage to see them, so that had to count for something, right?

As she walked towards her destination, she didn't notice the door to the storage room was slowly opening. Without warning, she was grabbed by her shoulder and covered her mouth to stop her from screaming. Dragging into the storage room. After getting her wit together on what just happened, she began to panic. Struggling to escape her captive. Only to hear a chilling voice that froze her in her place.

"Silences, or I will snap your neck. Got it?" The assailant whispered to her ears, bringing shivers down her spine. Not wanting to die, she could only nod in fear as her captive slightly checked the hallway. Seeing it was clear, he closed the door. Fearing what her captive was going to do to her, with her thoughts going to dark possibilities.

"Where Am I?"

"Wha-what?" Confused about what her capture meant.

"I Said, where am I?" He hissed at her as she got the memo.

"Yo-Your in the capital king- kingdom of Melromarc."

"..."

"Melromarc? Where's that?

"On the continent of Nodoris."

"…"

"...Don't lie to me or-"

"I'm being honest! I swear on the name Three Hero Church!" She almost yelled, pleading toward her capture. For a few seconds, which was an eternity for her. Dreading that she might perish. Until he spoke.

"…Fine, I believe you for now." He said. Hearing that, her heartbeat started to calm down only to rise again when he asked his next question.

"Who's the leader of this country?"

"Queen Q Melromarc. But right now, it's Aultcray Melromarc XXXII running our country due to our queen doing diplomacy in other neighboring kingdoms.

"…"

"Thanks for being cooperative."

Before she could say anything else, a cloth was pressed against her face. Before she could struggle against her captive, she noticed a strange smell. Before she knew it, her strength was fading fast, and her eyes started to become heavy. With one last strength, she managed to turn to see her capture only to see a black mask with dark red glowing eyes, before finally slipping into unconscious.

'Chloroform. Always come in handy.' I thought to myself, looking at my handy work. Staring down at the maid now tied up with a cloth covering her mouth. 'This is a fine mess I got myself into.' Signing before looking around the storage room for any useful items. Before stopping at the mirror only to see my own reflection. Wearing an all black military uniform, with a black vest with multiple pouches, and some on his legs with a pistol holder strap on his right leg. Furthermore, he is also wearing Black military boots with knee guard on his knees, elbow guards, black gloves, and a walkie-talkie strap on his vest's left shoulder. Finally, for his head, he is wearing black helmets that connect to his black gas mask with dark crimson cylinder eyes.

Sighing to myself, thinking back on how he got into this situation. Closing his eyes, trying to retrace his steps of what was the last thing he remembers.

Clear!

Flashback began

"Clear!" Shouted a woman as she barges into the room with her gun. Making sure there were be no hostile foes waiting to ambush them.

"Farah over here." I voiced what I found on the other side of the bulletproof window.

"There they are, the nightmare." She whispers to herself, seeing what had caused her people to know true suffering and horror.

"Guys, we got a situation here." A third person said as he entered the room. Looking at him, what he meant, he tossed the detonator to Farah as she caught it as she inspected it. Only to find out what was wrong with it.

"What happened? I asked, having a bad feeling in my stomach. Only to find out my hunch was true.

"Detonator fucked." He said with grim.

'Fuck me.' I thought to myself at the complication we are all in right now. Looking back at Farah, I saw determination and acceptance.

"I'll go in there." Farah voiced her resolve, shocking our third member.

"And do what?" He asked?

"Ignite the furnace."

"It's a one-way trip Farah. You know that. Right?" I questioned her as my fist gripped tighter.

"I know." She said without hesitation.

"…"

"Farah…listen to me." Alex tried to reason with her only to be shot down as Farah continued her resolve.

"No, you listen to me Alex…Because of this poison, my people have known something worse than war. I did not come this far to turn back now!"

"I'm not asking you to turn back…I'm asking you to give me the order."

"I won't do that."

Commander, please."

I' am not your CO."

Then who is?" He raises his hand as he argues further to her. "Because someone needs to light this fire, and someone needs to kill Barkov…" Signing before looking at her as he told her what she needed to hear. "…and you can't do both. Not only that Farah…your people still need you. They still need their leader to guide them towards the right path."

Placing his hand on her shoulder, he said to her with sincerity. "I've been on assignment my whole life. But this…this is one I believe in. Commander. Give me the order."

"…You are a freedom fighter Alex." Farah said with a forceful smile.

"You're a born leader, Farah." Alex said to her with a smile of acceptance. "Say the word."

"…I"

Buzz/Shut!

"WHAT!/MADHA!" Both of them shouted as they saw the door shut, leading to the gas chamber being sealed off. Realizing there was another person with them. They ran towards the door to try to pry it open only to see their third member jam the door.

"What are you doing Hunk!" Farah Shouted.

"You two go. Kill Barkov. I got this." As I said to them, making sure the door was shut tight and smashed the handle in the process to keep them out of this, for what I was about to do.

"Oh, like hell! We're not going to leave you behind like this." Alex shouted as he tried to open the door only to not budge.

"This is war…survival's your responsibility. We all have to make sacrifices, yet not all of us have to. And this…is the least I can do. For both of your sake." I said to them as I looked at them across the steel door that separated us.

"Don't give me that bullshit Hunk!" He bangs the steel door with his fist.

"*Chuckle* Maybe you're right, but…I'd rather see you two make it out of here. For me...there is nothing much left for me back home. Before you say anything else Alex. You already know my background, so really, this was the best outcome." I said to them, knowing that there really is nothing back home for me.

"God fucken dammit…"

"Farah…look after this idiot for me, will you. God knows the trouble he will get into." I asked her as she nodded her head with sorrow.

"…"

"…Tell caption Price for me. That it has been an honor serving under him…gentleman and lady. It's been an honor." I said saluting them one final time before turning around and heading towards the gas chamber. Both members bow their heads in sorrow, knowing that their friend had just signed his own death.

Flashback ends

'Right. I ignited the furnace, and the whole building exploded. But then a blinding light engulfed me. Then I woke up in the middle of a chamber with robed people. Finally, the maid said a nation or land I never... heard... off…' Coming up with a rational explanation until finally, it clicks. 'Bloody hell, don't tell me I just got Isekai to another WORLD!' As much as I want to deny it, I had to face facts. I died, and as hard and crazy as it sounded, I was brought to another world. Before I started to lose it, I went back to breathing in and out a couple times to get my head clear.

Right now, I need information and fast. Let's start out with what is and arn't available right now. One, I was summoned to be a hero. Two, I'm in medieval ageses, so kingdoms, religions, and politics are going to be a cluster fuck. Three, right now, nobody knows what I look like, which is good. Four, for some god damn reason, I can't seem to use any of my guns with me, which by the way, I get shocked because…

*Zap*

[Legendary Weapon violation! The only weapon that a hero can use is the Legendary Hero Bow.]

Fan fucken fantastic… Signing at my problem before retaking a look at the bow. Its design is white and gold with a bit of blue for lines near the hilt. But the one that caught my eye is the citrine gem in the middle of the bow point outward. It may look like a design chosen for a bow of all things. Yet it almost seems… alive.

Shaking my head out of the daze before trying to figure out a way to use my gun without violating my contract. Until I notice something strange on my left side. Looking at it closely it almost looks like-

Suddenly an icon pops right in front of me. Catching me off guard, I took another look at it to see my name and other information about myself. '…My new life has officially become a game. Great.' I scarily thought as I rubbed my temple of the headache. 'Wait a sec, if my new life has become a game-ish. Then by using game logic, I can use it to my advantage, even bending the rules.' Finally, coming to a conclusion, I think back to my…childhood, I thought of games I can use to help me out of this crisis. Some games you can find new weapons and discard the previous ones.

*Zap*

…Yeah, that's a no. Other games, once can improve the weapon by finding materials for it, which can branch out the different forms. Another one can be…copying other weapons to enhance their status. Can it really be that simple? Thinking about a little bit longer, I decided to try it out. Better than doing nothing. I took out my pistol from my sidearm. Looking at it for a bit, hoping this will work or otherwise I'm back to square one. Placing my pistol next to the gem of the bow. For a few seconds, nothing happened until I saw it morphing as the bow glowed brightly before taking shape. Once the light went down, I saw my bow change into a pistol with the gem displayed on the handle. Then I saw a status on display in front of me.

If anyone were to see my face right now, they would be downright terrified and praying for whatever god they believed in to be quick and painless…or to be anywhere but here. Shaking out my shock, I started to copy my other guns, which gave me some good and bad news. The good news is it works. Bad news…

I need to be at a certain level to use them. Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk. Right now, I need to change my status for a second and…done.

Gear: Black OPS (other-world gear)

Good, my name is unknown. Don't want my name to fall into the wrong hands. In a fantasy world, who could say that name has power and by knowing one name they have control over said person…better be safe than sorry.

Now that I got that out of the way, I can now focus on my primary objective. To escape this castle without being spotted. 'Yet they must be searching for me since I gave them a false lead. The castle knights would be looking for me outside to widen their search. Which means my best bet would be to go where they least expect me to go.' I thought to myself until an idea came up. The castle is in the middle of a city with a riverbank in some parts of the area. While I saw through the window as I was escaping the chamber. With a castle like this in the medieval era, then they would most likely have a, '…Sewer system. And what place would be too less likely to look for me would be…a dungeon, which disposes of their…unwanted guest.' I thought to myself with my new goal forming for my extraction. Now all I need is a map of the castle layout and a disguise to blend in-

"Dammit, why me? I don't get paid enough for this shit." Gripped a voice outside as the door was slowly opening. Without any further hesitation, I grabbed my second victim and dragged him into the storage room, to…persuade him of the location. And would you know it, my guest brought me a present. How thoughtful of him.

A few minutes later.

"Now then, let's get the show on the road, equip gear Castle Guard Armored."

[Equipping Castle Guard Armored]

With a flash of light, my Black OPS armor was replaced. Now I'm wearing a medieval armored fantasy world, with a sword sheath to my right hip, and a scarf covering my lower face with a helmet to blend in. Looking over myself one more time before concealing my new… partner in case things hit the fan.

Oh, on a side note, I just found out I can store any items into my Bow inventory storage. Least I don't have to hide any of my guns or equipment. And speaking of said equipment, thank god I thought about Monster Hunter equipping gear. It made my life so much easier to switch gears without losing any time to put them on and off. It also looks like I have to think creatively if I wanted to unlock any hidden feature that the help option doesn't explain. Go figure.

Looking behind me to make sure my two associates are knocked out, which said second person is wearing nothing but his undies. Sucks to be him. I reached for the door and waited to hear any sound from the other side. Not hearing anything, I slowly open the door to make sure it's clear. Seeing nobody in the perimeter, I step out of the storage room before closing it. 'Now then, to the dungeon.' I thought to myself as I headed towards my destination.

As I walked towards my destination, I walked past a couple's knights, guards, and occasion maids. Giving them a nod on occasion when waving at me. Walking towards the east wing while trying to be less discrete was easier said than done. Almost made a couple close calls thanks to some drunks, but luckily I managed to give them the slips.

'Almost there.' I thought to myself as I walked to the last corner. To see my final destination in front of me. That's the good news, bad news. Two guards guarding the entrance, breathing in and out before moving forward.

"Holt!" Doing as they said I stopped.

"What's your business?" Dub guard one I now called him asked.

"I was assigned to the castle dungeon recently."

"Recently? On whose order?" Dub guard two asked.

"The knight commander. Assigned me to the dungeon. Due to *sighing*... I was at the wrong place at the wrong time."

"What do you mean?" Guard two questioned?

"The knight commander had to have a scapegoat due to the escaped Bow Hero. So do the math." I told them with a flat look.

With guard two nodding his head in sympathy to my blight. While guard one on the other hand…

"What's Math?"

"…"

"…"

"…"

"Is he serious?" I said to the guard partner with a straight face.

Looking at me, guard two with shame replied, "Sadly, yes. I have known him for over ten years. And he is still not the sharpest tool in the shed."

"Hey! I resent that!" Said the now renamed dumb guard.

Oh yeah? What two plus two then?"

"Simple, it's three-hundred!" Dumber shouted with his arms crossed with a triumph smirk.

"…"

"…"

"…"

"Can I pass now?"

"Yeah, you can pass. Lord gives me strength." Said guard two, pinches his nose in frustration.

Nodding, I went past them, heading towards my destination. Only to be called out at the last second. "Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. Be wary of the Three Hero Church Inquisitions down there. They arrived just a couple hours ago to reeducate the prisoners in the dungeon." Dumber said to me as he shivered with anxiety.

"What do you mean?" I asked, not liking what he meant by Inquisition.

"Inquisitions are the right hand of the church, our country's belief. They go around and hunt down heresy or other times… extreme measures of eradication." Guard two said with grim. Feeling a dark pit form in my stomach that my hunch was right. Before I could think any deeper, I was pulled out of my thoughts as two continue. "But between you and me. I think they just use their authority to get scot-free and punish anyone they deem a threat or annoyance. But don't let anyone hear that I said that, all right. Just keep your nose clean and ignore anything you see or hear. And you should be fine, alright?"

"I understood, and thanks for the heads up." I said before going down to the dungeon.

It is, as I feared. History is repeating itself all over again. The question is, how worst is it?

Or rather, I should be asking myself…

(((Play music: Resident Evil 2 Remake - Looming Dread)))

Will I lose any sleep if a few Inquisitions…had a mysterious accident down here?

Finally reaching the bottom of the dungeon, I saw torches illuminating the dark corridors with the feeling of looming dread for any unfortunate soul trap down here to never see the light of day again. Without hesitation, I march into the depth, looking for a disposable area that leads to the sewers.

As I walked, I took a couple glances in the cells only to see bodies hanging on the ceilings or walls. With some prisoners not moving or breathing at all. The further I went down, the more I saw some prisoners that are dead, but not by being here of starvation or neglect. But torture. Some are missing some limbs, others with whip wounds, burns, the list can go on.

"The screams…I can still hear them…"

Pausing, I looked over to my right in the cell who whispered out. The person in the cell was an elderly man in a corner-hugging himself as he rocked back-and-forth. As I got a closer look at the person, I saw his eyes. They were hunted as if he saw something that cannot be unseen or unheard. It broke the poor man's soul. Listening carefully for what he had to say, he continued.

"Why? By the gods…why? Why did they do it to them? They were only children…They were no older than eight!?"

"Oh, god! I can still hear their scream! I can still hear their screaming as those Inquisitions...no monsters! Set them on fire! The waves of laughter! I can still hear their laughter as the kids were… Oh god! Make it stop! Make the screaming stop!" The man became a sobering mess as he cried out the horrors here. Hearing enough, I continued onward but paused before looking back at the cell, understanding what had transpired here. Gripping in anger, I resume into the depth.

As I went further, I saw one of the doors was slightly opened. Using the corner as cover, I peeked inside the room only to see my first look at the Inquisitions. They wear armor similar to the assassin creed rogue with a leather coat and hood with their color scheme being black and red. Yet with a small difference on their chest seems to be their symbol of a sword, spear, and bow in the form of a cross. Looking further, I saw them throwing nude bodies into an incinerator. Observing the bodies closely, I noticed they have some kind of animal traits on them with tails and ears. I also see their age seem between late teens to early twenties. The men had their throat cut with multiple gash wounds across their bodies. The women, on the other hand… their eyes are dead, likely from rape by the scars on their bodies. With some of the Inquisitions putting on their clothes, laughing about putting these animals in their place. 'Monsters indeed.' I thought to myself. But the worst of all, it's racism at its finest. It's the holocaust all over again. Only this time, the church is supporting this behind the scene if the Inquisitions can get away with this.

Leaving the chamber behind, unable to do anything about it with their level being higher than mine. As I went further into the prison, a thought came up that may become a problem. If these bastards have an incinerator in a dungeon. Then what of the odds of them having a disposable waist or body for the sewer?

Before I could ponder any further, I heard a muffled scream. Walking a bit faster I found out the cry only to see-

"SHUT THE FUCK UP! YOU LITTLE WHORE!"

My blood was boiling with fury. In front of me was another Inquisition who is on top of a little girl in a prisoner's rag with no shoes who is no older than nine! Her eyes landed on me. Pleading for help, which unfortunately got the child molester to turn around.

"What? What are you looking at, guardsman? Don't you see, I'm busy here!" He shouted at me as I looked at him with a straight face.

"My apologies sir, I heard a voice and thought one of the prisoners had escaped. It seems I was mistaken, sir. I'll leave it to do whatever you were doing." I said to him before walking away as I saw the little girl's eyes losing hope as I left their sight.

The molester turns around to do the deed said to his victim. "Now then. Where were we? A yes. Now I remember I was going to make you my bitch. Now hold still and tak-" Before he could finish, a hand grabbed him from behind with his mouth shot up by one hand while another around his neck. The molester tried to get his assailant off him only to hear a cold voice that froze him to the core.

"Sorry, sir. I lied. And when you go to hell, tell the devil, I said hey." I said to him as I saw his fear in his eyes. Without hesitation I-

Snap his neck as I let gravity do the work as his body fell down with a thud. With his last expression of the look of horror. Nodding at my handwork, I turned towards the girl who almost got raped by a molester. Who is right now at the corner in fear of me? Understandable, thinking I might do what the bastard left off. I slowly walked to her as she closed her eyes, waiting for the inevitable. Only to feel a warm head pat near her ears. Slowly opening her eyes. She saw my eyes, only holding out for concerns for her well being.

"It's alright. I'm not here to hurt you. Everything is going to be all right now. Let it out. There's no longer to hold back your tears on my account." I said to her gently, as she broke down on top of me as her muffled cries as she sobbed her heart out. I gently rubbed her back as she cried, feeling for the first time, safe. Looking at her closely, I noticed she wasn't human, with her brown squirrel ears, and her big curly brown tail. Her hair is short brown and missy due to her condition. As her eyes earlier are hazel. As much as I want to get in-depth information about her race, I know time is of the essence.

I gently shook her to get her attention, "I'm sorry, but we have to go. The longer we stay here. The higher the chance we get caught." I gently told her before continuing. "Can you walk?" Getting a nod from her, I turned towards the body, trying to think of a way to get rid of the evidence until an idea came up. Taking out my pistol or bow? I placed it on the deceased, and just as I thought, the body vanished with an icon saying in front of me.

[Dead Inquisition remain stored]

'Nice.' I thought to myself before turning to my guest only to see her surprised face with her jaw opening. Chuckling at her expression, she shook it off before grabbing me to get my attention.

"Please, you got to help her! mister!" She begged with tears forming up again.

"What do you mean?" I asked her. Having more people to get out of here may make our escapes problematic, but…

"She is a knight who was sent down here because she defended us from bad men and- and" She tried to say it before I patted her on her head. Seeing her eyes, …it reminds me of that day...

Shaking my head, I turned to her again. "Alright, I get it. Let's go, but stay behind me and stay silent. Don't know if there are any more of them down further, ok." Getting a nod and a smile from her. We left the cell and went further down to the abyss. Looking further, I saw some of the cells being empty or skeletons. Thinking some more about agreeing to save this knight that the little girl asked me to save, which reminds me, I need to ask her name once we are out of this hellhole. The other reason would be information and what better way would I gain more info then saving a knight who knows this world better inside and out. Nevertheless, I kept my mind sharp for any surprises in case any more of those bastards showed up.

"Get off me!" I heard a shout further ahead as I paused, turning around to catch my guest. Telling her to hide behind the crates while I go investigate. As I got closer, I heard muffling and Hearing more voices likely Inquisitions men. Seeing the cell corners where the sound was coming from, I peeked to see what I'm facing. Yet again. These A-holes are starting to climb up the ladder to the most hated people I hate the most. I count three of these fuckers with one closer to me while the other two with one of them place a wet rag over her mouth, and the other one seems to be whispering to her as they are holding down the pensioner who is chained upon the wall.

Seeing the prisoner on the wall, she is also wearing worthless pensioners' garb and no footwear. With the dud concealed her figure. Her face is attractive, added to the fact she has pink hair of all things falling below her mid-back. Finally, her eyes are blue, which shows defiance turns to fear! Yet her eyes are fading fast into drowsiness. Either by what the man is whispering to her or the rag that could be chloroform.

Shit, thinking fast, I saw their levels, which thankfully are at level ten. Without hesitation, I grabbed the close person near me, and without swift movement, I snapped his neck. Dropping the body, which surprises the two assholes as I charged at them and before any of them, can react. I brought out my pistol/bow with the silencer attached and shot the person holding the rag in the throat and his face five times. Only for all the bullets to all hit him square in the chest? Auto-aim? Not good. Gotta change my strategy and try to fix it later.

The last person I slammed into the wall hard, which made him drop his sword. Before I could finish him off he grabbed me by the neck before he could throw me down I managed to grab his other arm and pulled him down with me.

With both of us hitting the ground. With a quick reaction, I pinned him on the ground. Pointing the pistol/bow at him. I was about to pull the trigger until he smashed a rock on the side of my head. Luckily the helmet stopped the fatal blow. However, it gave the bastard time to turn the table to throw me off him before he started too savagely his onslaught of punches on me while I was using my arms to shield me. Waiting for an opening, I saw him pulling his punch behind him. I took it and head-butted him in the face. You should have to wear a helmet, jackass. Getting back up, I Bought the pistol/bow 'Need to think of a name for you.' I thought to myself as I pointed at his face. See that now I reverse the tables on him. Without hesitation, I shot him multiple times in the head point-blank...Only again, it auto-aim towards the chest. I seriously need to fix this problem.

Gain a level

Lowering the gun down, I checked the area to see if it's all clear. Seeing the area was cleared, I ran to check the prisoner. Her head was down as her body was limp, checking for a pulse on her neck. I got a beat, sighing with relief, likely knocked out by the drug. I checked for the dead for the keys, and on the second search of the deceased, I found the keys. After I stored the remains, I unlocked her shackles and caught her before she fell down. Carefully carrying her * cough princess style* I returned to the little squirrel girl.

When she saw whom I was carrying, she ran up to us, and whispered, "Eclair! What happened to her?"

"She's alright just out cold but alive." Getting a sign of relief from her. Looked Like I found who we were looking for, but the way I just came from was a dead-end. Meaning we have to retrace our steps, which is not a good idea. Before I could think any further, I felt a tug on my sleeves.

"Sorry, did you need something?"

"I think I found a way out while I was waiting for you."

"Wait, really. Where?" I whispered to her, which she replied behind the crates.

"Right behind these crates, I keep hearing running water and the smell…" She said as she shuddered, remembering the god-awful smell.

Looking where she pointed at, I walked around the crates to be greeted with a sewage ladder leading to the sewers. It seems like we are getting out of this hellhole.

(((Music End)))

Following the next day, nobody knew what became of the four missing Inquisitions or the fact that two prisoners mysteriously vanished until it was too late. Or that the real advantage of the Bow Hero begins.

Finish my first chapter of the Shield Hero fiction, and hope to gain some feedback from you readers.

Also one more thing, does anyone know the continent and the world's name is in the series that it takes places in? I could not find any information about that, would appreciate it.

See ya next time and peace.
