Chapter 3: Elective Shadow Day! Meeting a Luchadore!:
Demiyah went to school the following Monday knowing there was a school community service thing she had to do. Apparently the Perfecto Prep students who were running for Autumn King and Queen were doing the same thing. Demiyah met up with the others who were in the running and asked, "So what's today's event?" Buster said, "The students in the Lucha Libre deparment are coerced into trying electives from the main school building. None of them ever want to sign up for the classes after. Staying true to their thing I suppose." Demiyah said, "My 'thing' is saving people and fighting villains. But even I have hobbies and interests out of that. My mom is a gamer and dad has his nature hikes. I'm in a band and I take part in different local competitions. I also read comic books." The teacher in charge Lola Bunny said, "Okay Calamity Coyote you will be having Rikochet and Snowpea shadow you during your electives today. Dewey Duck will have El Minotauro and Coco Demento shadowing you during your electives. Lincoln Loud shall have French Twist and The Flea shadowing you for your electives. Buster Bunny you'll have Pierre Del Fuego and Penny Plutonium shadowing you today during your electives. Finally Demiyah Oliver you will have Buena Girl and Zero Kelvin shadowing you during your electives." This was a surprise since she half expected to have Rikochet or The Flea. But she much preferred Zero Kelvin despite being an ice Luchadore, he seemed to be really nice.
Demiyah met Zero Kelvin and Buena Girl on her way to Home Ec. She overheard Buena Girl say, "None of the Luchadore students the pick every year has chosen a non Lucha Department elective ever! I don't understand why the school is still doing this." Kelvin said, "I think it's to promote School Unity or whatever. At least that's what my dad said it was about when he was a student here years ago." Demiyah said, "I'd like to think it's a good thing to let others explore their own hobbies and interests." Kelvin snorted, "No one seems to think I could be of any use in a kitchen. What with being an Ice Luchadore." Demiyah asked honestly confused, "What does that have to do with anything? I have Light and Fire powers. But that doesn't mean I can't use any other Element or powers that are as prominent. Any skill takes time and practice. Much like Lucha cooking or even musical talents take time to develop your own niche through trial and error. I garuntee not even the previous Luchadore Supreme was born great. They earned their title through hard work." Buena Girl and Zero Kelvin had to admit she had a point.
In class those who had shadows were split from their normal groups. Yakko stuck around to hear how Demiyah convinced Buena Girl and Zero Kelvin to follow a recipe. Demiyah made it seem easy. She told them, "THink of a recipe in cooking like the Code Of Masked Wrestling. A guideline to getting the best results for your efforts." Clarabelle openly looked stunned she made a comparison like that. Calamity thought that was genius. The treat they were making were donut holes. Demiyah, Yakko, Zero Kelvin, and Buena Girl made chocolate and strawberry ones with vanilla glaze and sprinkles. There were more than enough to split four ways and still have extra. The extras were shared among the class including the shadowing students. Zero Kelvin sheepishly blushed when praised for a job well done.
During lunch Zero Kelvin saw the table he usually sat at was full so nervously he walked over to Demiyah's table and asked, "Could I sit with you guys?" The Luchadores were stunned. None of them ever left their little section of the cafeteria. Yet here was Zero Kelvin someone who was just as shy and withdrawn as Furball was with the new student asking if he could sit and eat with someone outside their social circles. Demiyah gave Kelvin and said, "Sure you can." Kelvin sat down and ate quietly when Demiyah asked, "Hey Kelvin, ever wonder what happenes when Power Rangers on a stakeout do when their bored?" Kelvin looked up from his lunch and said, "Sometimes why?" Demiyah giggled and hand over her phone. She clicked play and everyone at her table started laughing hysterically. There on the screen was Time Force Red and the Time Force Quantum Ranger dancing to the Macarena. As the video went other Rangers such as the Green Samurai Storm Ranger, Lightspeed Rescue Titanium, Wild Force Yellow, Dino Thunder Green, Psycho Purple, and even Mighty Morphin Green joining in! Kelvin once he regained his composure asked, "Who sent you this? This is hilarious!" Demiyah laughed, "My cousin Sarah. Silver Guardians Academy had an unexpected System Issue so the students got the day off. Kind of like a Snow Day. She was out running an errand for my uncle Reggie while he was at work when she caught the Rangers and filmed this." Kelvin laughed as he handed Demiyah back her phone. "Wow, your cousin sounds awesome." Demiyah said happily, "She is. When we finally got to meet face to face when we were seven we've been ridiculously close. She's the one who helped me learn more about my Toon Powers when I was little."
During Music Buena Girl was so out of her element it was shocking. However Demiyah was asked to sing a song. Strangely it was supposed to be a duet.

Kelvin felt something inside his Heart resonate with Demiyah's words. Before he knew it, Kelvin himself started to sing.

Demiyah heard Kelvin sing and realized people were putting pressure on the Luchadores to follow one set path.

Kelvin's Heart was beating fast from letting loose for once in his life. His parents encouraged interests outside of Lucha as they both had their own hobbies and interests.
During Free Period Kelvin sat under a tree really thinking about the Electives he shadowed today while munching on some of his share of the donut holes. Pierre came up to his spot and said, "Man those electives were super boring. No fighting, no wrestling, nada, zilch. Glad we don't have to go through that again right ZK?" Kelvin said, "Huh, oh hey Flame head. I kind of had fun today. If it went bad for you I'm sorry to hear that." Rikochet walked up and asked, "Your not seriously considering joining those electives you shadowed today are you?" Kelvin realized he made a choice when he sang that duet with Demiyah. Just talking to her made him happy. He had made a friend who wasn't a Luchadore and she accepted him wholeheartedly. Kelvin smiled knowing he had made the right choice for him.
Before the end of the school day, most of the Luchadore students declared they would not be joining the classes they shadowed that day. However when the Headmisstress who seemed despared of students branching out she asked, "Zero Kelvin, what is your decision?" Kelvin looked at the others who expected him to do what they did before looking at Demiyah. He took a deep breath before saying, "I took a long time to choose but I've decided, I'd like to continue with the Home Ec and Music classes I shadowed today." Kelvin's statement shocked everyone but Demiyah and Dewey. Demiyah knew Kelvin would make the right choice for him. With Dewey he could tell Kelvin wanted to explore things about himself he denied up until that point in time. The Headmisstress of the Lucha Department smiled almost in relief. She said, "Starting tomorrow you will be in the same Class Periods you shadowed in. I will speak with Clarabelle and Melody about letting you sit with the same groups as you sat with today."
Kelvin was walking home from school after getting an earful from the others save for Buena Girl and oddly French Twist. They accepted his decision no questions asked. He saw Demiyah waiting for someone. He asked, "Who are you waiting for?" Demiyah smiled sheepishly, "Actually, I was waiting for you. After that incident with your friends I thought you could use some cheering up. Want to go get some ice cream?" Kelvin smiled and said, "Ice cream sounds great. My dad has a shop not to far from here. Sometimes during school breaks I help out there. Kind of like how sometimes Flea helps out at Slammin Donuts after school." The pair walked down the street to Subzero Frozen Treats and Kelvin was kind enough to hold the door open for Demiyah. Kelvin waved to his dad with a smile before they made their ice cream orders. The waitress was Zero Kelvin's older sister Winter Frost or Frosty to her family. Kelvin got some Mint Chip Ice Cream while Demiyah got Double Choco Brownie Explosion. The pair talking about their families and sharing funny stories from wen they were little. Demiyah won for the one day that her parents ended up wearing their pajamas to work. That particular day Tommy had on a Tyrannosaurus onesie and Kimberly had on Tinkerbell pajamas. Demiyah had worn her pajamas to school a couple of times herself but only when they had School Spirit Week. Everyone seemed amused when she came to school in Pikachu print pajama pants and a Mighty Ducks Jersey. Kelvin asked amused, "Where'd you get the Jersey from?" Demiyah snorted, "I've had that for years actually. Wildwing threw it into the crowd after a game. I caught it and have been using it as a nightshirt ever since." Kelvin was cracking up, "You caught Wildwing Flashblade's Hockey Jersey seven years ago and you still have it? Wow that's dedication!" Demiyah laughed as they finished their Ice Cream.
Before Demiyah headed home she asked, "Hey Kelvin, would you want to hang out next Saturday in Toon Town? I would this coming Saturday but we have the Autumn Fling." Kelvin said, "Sure. I know your going with Calamity, but save me a dance at the very least?" Demiyah smiled, "I'd be glad to." The pair exchanged phone numbers before going their sperate ways. Kelvin waved to her as she headed towards the station saying, "See you at school tomorrow Dee!" Demiyah said, "See you later bro!"
When Demiyah arrived home she smiled as she realized, "I found my answer to Uncle Jason. I didn't think that would happen ever. Or at least changing schools would let me find that person."
Back at his home, Kelvin laid on his bed happy he had made a new friend and excited to see what tomoorow would bring.
(In a different World)
A man with silver heair and sickly yellow eyes looked at Demiyah and Kelvin. He said, "So we may have a possible Dark Ranger in that boy. This requires more investigation." A cloaked man said, "Master Diomedes, we are having trouble with Aqua. She is attempting to break free from the Mind Control spell." Diomedes said, "Put her under heavier spells Luxu. Then send my daughter here. We have work that must be done." Luxu said, "Yes my Lord."
(With Demiyah)
Demiyah was making a bracelet for Kelvin. The type of bracelet she was making was from an old tradition during the Silver Millennium. Lunar people often made intricate bracelets for one another while wishing for their friendships to last. Bracelet pairs meant you were special to each other. Demiyah was making a braclet in the style Kelvin preferred as far as colors and themes. It was predominantly white with silver beads and ice blue snowflakes on it. It looked really nice and she couldn't wait to give it to Kelvin at school tomorrow.
As she slept, she dreamed of the Silver Millenium. She was on Mercury and playing with a boy that she was certain was Kelvin's past life Kieran who Amy's younger brother.
