Superpowers are overrated. I wanna do magic! XD

Royal Woods was quite a magical place, both literally and figuratively. Ever since the Loud family decided to impart on everyone the knowledge of the magic arts, after a lot of skepticism of course, nearly everybody learned how to cast magic, and what once seemed like it would be exclusive to Fantasy novels was now a reality.

But not everybody was happy with this turn of events.

A lone goth girl by the name of Lucy sat at the backyard of the Loud House, right where it all started, looking at the grimoire she used to teach her family about magic itself.

"Hi, Lucy!"

The goth girl raised her head, and a small smile formed on her face as she saw her snow-haired brother, Lincoln, flying down to her side with a broom.

"Hi, Lincoln. Do you need something?"

"I was actually gonna ask you why you were sad," the boy said as he sat next to his sister. "I mean, everybody knows how to do magic! You're no longer alone in that regard!"

"I know, but sigh, this wasn't my intention."

Lucy stood in front of her family in the living room, holding the grimoire in her hands.

"Family, I thank you for sparing some time off your busy schedules to hear me out."

"Lucy, it's Sunday," Lana pointed out. "None of us had anything to do today."

The rest of the family nodded in agreement.

"Regardless, I'm still thankful you took the time to hear my proposition," Lucy raised her grimoire. "What I hold here is a grimoire. A magical spellbook. I was thinking that, perhaps, if we all read the content within, we could all share in the knowledge of how to do magic."

"Reading's for nerds, though," Lynn pointed out.

"Yes, Lynn," Lisa rolled her eyes. "Reading being exclusive to nerds is the biggest issue here."

"Just because I ran myself into that joke doesn't mean I'll let you get away with it!"

"I can verify that!" Luan chuckled.

Lucy pinched the bridge of her nose, placed the book on the ground, and opened it, saying:

"Just listen to me, please…."

"All I wanted was for our family to share the same things I liked. To try to find a connection with the fantastical," the gothic girl frowned. "And now, everyone can use magic. And this might sound weird, but with that in mind, it's… not as magical as it used to be."

"Hmm, well, that's a way to look at it, but it's not the only way," Lincoln pointed out with a smile. "You could take this as an opportunity!"

Lucy tilted her head. "To do what?"

"To regulate arcane knowledge."

Shortly after, next to Lucy's other side, another familiar goth girl flew down to her side.

"Haiku…"

"Magic is still fairly new to Royal Woods," the fellow goth answered. "You and I, we've been dwelling in the arts for years, but everyone else has only weeks to go off of."

Haiku turned to Lucy and smiled. "We should be ready to teach Royal Woods how to use their newfound power."

"We?" Lucy pointed at herself, then Haiku. "You mean…?"

Haiku nodded.

"You were the one who introduced the concept," Lincoln answered. "It's only fair if you teach people how to actually use it."

Lucy glanced between her friend and her brother, and audibly sighed… then smiled.

"I guess it's worth a shot."
