Flames of Devotions

Luffy stood on the edge of the world. With his crown upon his head. The early dawn light shines on his straw hat as it shines bright giving off a golden sheen to it.

My crew stands behind me. Their eyes watching my movement. As four figures appear around him. They each place their hands on my shoulder. The spirits of my brothers stood at each side of me. Gramps besides Ace as Mom stands next to Sabo as another figure stands before me.

"Monkey D. Luffy. You are now the new King of All Pirates." Came the disembodied voice of one Gol D. Rogers as his bright grin shines bright with the golden rays of the morning sun.

A sad smile plays across my lips. "Thank you. I have also failed you. I will do my best to Prove to the World that I am the King of All Pirates and A Just Pirate." I tell the man before me as he fades away.

A single tear rolls down my cheeks as I feel the four standing beside me fade away. Feeling the flames of Ace and Sabo telling to stand strong. They will always be there for me.

I spin on my heel and I smile at my crew as I wipe away my single tear. "Let's set sail. For the World needs to meet their New King of Pirates." I tell them with a large grin on my face.

Franky pulls out a camera. Snapping a shot of their Captain. "We are on it Captain." Said the cyborg with his own grin on his own face.

One Week Later

The entire world had received the news of the New Pirate King. With the King sitting upon the throne of the first Pirate King. The Marines, Pirates, and Emperors all stood stock still at the news.

One evening I lay on the branch looking up at the stars as Zoro sits at the base of the tree with his arm crossed over his chest. His single eye opens as his hand moves towards his sword. I tilt my head towards the figure head of my ship as two tall people stand proud with one holding a bundle within their arms. I jump out of the tree walking towards them with Zoro just two steps behind me.

The kitchen door opens as a flicker of a lighter is seen followed by a small crimson glow. A blonde haired man walks out and jumps over the railing landing just three steps behind the swordsman. Quickening his pace he is now side by side with the vice as they both follow behind the Captain and King.

"So what brings you to my ship Katakuri and Smoothie?" I question them as they step into the light of the lanterns littering the deck.

"We do not come to cause trouble. We are only here to inform you of something I wish we could have spoken to you while you had been on Whole Cake Island. This is a secret that has been hidden from even our mother. For she should have killed us if she had found out. WIth her now dead. We are here to speak with you." Said Katakuri with a frown under his scarf.

I tilt my head to the left studying them both as I am able to see the bundle in Smoothie's arms wiggling around. "What would that be?" I question them as I am not sure if I would want to know. Part of my heart tells me I am not strong enough to know what this news could truly be.

"I had a child with one Portgas D. Ace." Said Smoothie as she takes a step closer towards the New Pirate King.

My eyes widened slightly. I school my face. Keeping the shock from even showing them. This was way too much. I had wondered as Ace had told me once he had a beloved. Never told me who it was. Leaving him to wonder for a while now if he had a niece or nephew out in this large world around me. "So you are the woman my brother had told me about. HIs beloved that he was frightened for the world to find out about?" I question Smoothie as she slowly nods her head to my words.

"I would like you to meet your niece. Portgas D. Ava. The one and only daughter of Portgas D. Ace." Said Smoothie as she uncovers a four year old little girl with long wavy raven locks pulled into pigtails and silver eyes he knew all too well. Eyes from his childhood. Ava grins at him, showing him the mirror grin of his eldest brother.

"Uncle Lu." Cries Ava as she grins at him.

Tears escape my eyes as I see the female conder part of my big brother. I just hope one day she will meet her cousin Sammy. For he is the mirror image of my other brother.
