Chapter 7: A Surprising Change for Round 6? The Legendary Evil Ancient Saiyan vs. The Cursed Nordic Hunter! The Most Brutal and Savage Fight of Ragnarok!? Part 1
Buddha continued to look at Zeus, his face unreadable. The tension between them was suffocating as the Father of the Cosmo was waiting for the God of Enlightenment to respond.
"I was originally going to save your turn… for much later… I want you to go next." Zeus told him.
"Zeus… why do you wanna destroy Humanity so much?" Buddha asked, finally speaking.
"Because I don't like losing, that's why… as long as we fight, we win. Such… are the Gods." Zeus answered seriously, Buddha merely smirked.
"Nice! I like your spirit!" Buddha chuckled.
"So… how much about it?" Zeus stated, unleashing his aura, Buddha merely stared at him.
"OK!" Buddha said cheerfully, and hugged Zeus. "Let's have fun… alright?"
With Geir, she was running through the hallway even though Null assured her that he would take care of Brunhild, she still wanted to do what she could for her Eldest Sister.
"Yeah… the fate of Humanity is on Sister Hilde's shoulders… I need to help her anyway I can!" Geir thought determined. "The sickbay should be somewhere around her, there!" She thought, finding it. "I need to get some bandages for Sister Hilde's injuries… Now where can I find some? Oh, this one is open… is this it?" She asked herself.
"YEOWCH! THAT SONUVA BITCH BUDDHA!" Edisu cursed, Benzaiten was taking care of his injured hand.
"They must be the 7 Lucky Gods." Geir thought, spying on them.
"Fuck! Buddha ya fuckin moron! Next time I see ya, I'mma smash ya into so many pieces there won't be any relics for damn monks ta collect!" Edisu shouted in anger but his familiar Lucky Gods told him it was pointless for him to fight Buddha. "Heh, no needa worry. Next time he pushes his luck… it'll be the death penalty with "Zero" at the wheel…" He said ominously.
"Zero…? What is he talking about?" Geir thought confused.
"What are you doing?" A commanding voice asked from behind and when Geir turned she saw it was Bishamoten.
"Gaaaaaah! Bishamonten!?" Geir thought, panicking. "N-N-Nothing! I was just getting some bandages…" She answered, trembling and sweating. But as she was getting up to leave she tripped and fell through the door. " OWCH! Owie… huh?" She then found herself in the presence of the other Lucky Gods. "I'm screwed! Someone… help me…" She thought.
"You're… dat kid Valkyrie aren't cha!?" Edisu asked her. "Snoopin' on others's… a nice hobby ta have, ey?" He asked her.
"Too close!" Geir thought, panicking.
"So what were ya doin' slitherin' round like dat? Fess up 'fore ya get ol' Ebisu even more pissed! Eh, girlie?" Ebisu told Geir.
"Eeeeeek! He's super mad! H-He gonna kill meeeeeee!" Geir thought, frightened.
"Wow… picking on a small girl, ain't that the most unmanliness thing I've ever seen." A voice stated.
"Huh!? Da hell did ya just say!?" Edisu said enraged.
"What? Did that strike a nerve? Too bad." They stated, not caring.
"Y-You're…" Geir said, shocked.
"The Red Hood!" The 7 Lucky Gods shouted.
"Sup." Red Hood better known as Jason Todd said, drinking a can of beer, he had bandages completely around his arms, neck and torso.
"You got some nerve…" Edisu said, glaring at Jason, who wasn't fazed.
"Edisu… stand down." Bishamonten ordered. "I will not tolerate outside killing, we're leaving."
"Tch! Lookit' dat smug face! Make me sick!" Edisu sneered at Jason.
"Right back at ya." Jason said, taking out his gun, which was still capable of killing a God and still had bullets to spare. "Whatcha gonna do about it?"
"HUH!?" Edisu said, losing his temper, pulling out his own gun.
Before he could respond, he was dragged off by one of the other 7 Lucky Gods, Jason was tempted to put a bullet right between Edisu's eyes and into his skull but didn't.
"Ey girlie! You tell anyone… 'bout whatcha just heard… and you die!" Edisu threatened, then yelped as a stray bullet missed his feet by a few inches. "HEY!"
"Oops." Jason said casually, putting his gun away.
"Ah… I thought they were gonna kill me…" Geir said with a sigh. "Those seven… are more like the 7 Unlucky Gods than Lucky Gods…"
"Seven?" Jason said, confused. "Did you just say seven?" He asked the young Valkyrie.
"Y…Yeah. I believe so." Geir stated. "They are called "The Seven Lucky Gods" in Japan." She told him. "Why? Does that matter?" She asked him.
"Guess not. Not really." Jason said, looking at the group of Gods feeling something was off. "You alright?" He asked, helping Geir to her feet, she noticed all the bandages that cover him.
"You're… covered with scars…" Geir said, concerned.
"Yeah… I guess I am. They don't hurt as much as they look." Jason said quietly.
"N-No…! If you're hurt then you should rest!" Geir said with a gentle smile, that reminded him of Hercules. "Ah, right! I'm kinda in a hurry! Thanks for the help!" She said, grabbing some bandages and running off. "Bye-Bye!"
"Yeah, later…" Jason muttered, finishing his beer and crushed the can.
"Hey, you jerk! You should be resting, not fooling around!" Hlokk shouted, making Jason groan.
"I was just stretching my legs, no need to get yourself in a twist." Jason said annoyed.
"Hmph! Pitiful, you truly are pitiful." Hlokk said with a huff.
"Whatever." Jason said, going back to his room to rest.
"Thanks for that, what you did for Geir…" Hlokk mutters, looking away from him.
"No problem…" Jason said with a shrug.
Jason returned to the infirmary where Musashi was flirting with Hrist, who had a huge blush on her face and was trying to deflect the swordsman's advances.
"M-Musashi…" Hrist said shyly, she was trying to push him away.
"Don't be so coy, Ms. Hrist~." Musashi said in a slightly deeper tone.
"Ugh, can't they take this somewhere else?" Hlokk said with a huff, then looked at Jason with a glint in her eyes.
"Good Grief." Jason mutters, feeling the Valkyrie's gaze.
At the arena, the scoreboard was shown that both sides were tied. The Gods had won some and Humanity had won some, Mortalkind was one step closer to the end but things weren't over yet!
"NOW, GET READY… FOR ROUND 6 OF RAGNAROK… COULD THERE BE ANY GREATER IRONY? GIVING HUMANITY IT'S REQUIEM… THE NEXT FIGHTER FOR THE GODS…" Heimdall shouted. "LONG AGO… HE HELPED THOSE FOOLISH MORTALS… WITH THEIR WORLDLY DESIRES… AND SHOWED THEM THE PATH… THROUGH THE DARKNESS… HERE IS THAT MAN! THIS MAN… ABANDONING ROYALTY… ABANDONING FAMILY… ABANDONING WORLDLY DESIRES… ABANDONING THE SIX EMOTIONS… TRODDING AN UNTRODDEN! LIKE THE HORN OF THE RHINOCEROS… HE WALKED ALL ALONE… AND SO, IN JUST SIX YEARS… THIS MAN ATTAINED ENLIGHTENMENT! BORN ALONE… LIVING ALONE… AND FIGHTING ALONE!" He stated. "THROUGHOUT HEAVEN AND EARTH… I ALONE AM THE HONORED ONE. THROUGHOUT HEAVEN AND EARTH… I ALONE AM THE MIGHTY ONE! ONLY I… AM STRONG! IT'S BUDDHA!"
Humanity dreaded this while the Gods gloated at them believing they already won this round as well. But much to everyone's confusion, Buddha began to walk to the side of Humanity.
"W-Wait… uh… that's the wrong way!" Heimdall told Buddha. "That's going too far! too far!"
"Mmm… sorry I gotta toss this." Buddha casually said, placing a piece of chewed up gum in Heimdall's hand.
"Wah! Chewed up gum! Ew!" Heimdall shouted, grossed out.
"And… I'll be borrowing this." Buddha said, taking away his horn. "UH… TESTING, TESTING… HMM...UH… I'LL BE FIGHTING FOR HUMANITY, SO UH, THANKS!" He announced, this caused everyone to become Godsmack!
In the infirmary, Musashi just smiles and continue to makes advances at Hrist while Jason laughs his ass off with Hlokk sitting in his lap. Yami and Escanor chuckle in amusement in their rooms, Esdeath let out huff but was impressed, while Acnologia was sitting on top of the arena, Ghost Rider was silent but continue to watch, Buddha just smirked and crushed the horn. The Gods were anything but amused, the whole crowd of Gods just cursed him out for his decision.
"Shut up." Buddha said, silencing them all. "If the Gods won't save them… I will." He stated. "And if any God gets in my way… I'll kill them." He said seriously.
Awestricken, Fright, Dumbfoundedness, Astonishment, shaken to the very core of Heaven and Earth! God and Mortal… this was beyond anything that anyone could understand! Even the Mighty Gods couldn't contain their anger!
"Wh...What the heck!? Why's Lord Buddha fighting for-?" Geir was beyond confused. The only ones that remained unphased by this claim were Brunhild and Null. "D-Don't tell me… was this… part of your plan too sister!?"
"Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the honored one…" Brunild quoted one of Buddha's frazes.
"Huh…?" Geir said, confused.
"Unfortunately, Buddha… is far too ballsy… too let others move him as they please." Null concluded, his voice serious.
Earlier with Null and Brunhild, the Bookkeeper was helping the Eldest Valkyrie out the room, he kept a supporting arm around her shoulder while she wiped her tears away.
"Hey, Bruly. Crying really ain't a good look on you, y'know." Buddha stated. "Helping the fair lady out, Nully?" He asked.
"Bruly? Are you… referring to me?" Brunhild asked, confused. "Lord Buddha?"
"That's a shitty nickname." Null thought.
"Mhm, mhm." Buddha answered, eating halo popcorn. "What some?" He offered.
"No, thank you." Brunhild stated.
"Same." Null answered.
"So… what's got you all misty eyed?" Buddha asked.
"Obviously, I'm mourning the fallen." Brunhild answered.
"And you're helping her through it, Null?" Buddha asked.
"Of course." Null stated.
"Hmm… if you two say so." Buddha said, shrugging it off.
"What else do you want, then… Lord Buddha?" Brunhild asked.
"Uh… oh, yeah." Buddha said, devouring the rest of the popcorn, making the two sweatdrop. "Zeus told me… he wanted me to fight in Round 6, but… I'm gonna fight for Humanity." He told the two.
"I see. Thank you for informing me." Brunhild said politely.
"Interesting." Null stated.
"GOD! That was so weak!" Buddha said dramatically. "So… have things been going as you expected, Bruly?" He asked.
"I'm not certain what you mean." Brunhild stated.
"I mean you came to me to learn about "fate intertwined" and stuff. And that was even before the whole conference thing… so you must've had this comin' for a while, yeah?" Buddha told her. "And just maybe… you were planning on making me go up against the Gods." He stated. "Were you?" He asked, his eyes glowing.
"I would never consider something so disrespectful… however." Brunhild stated. "Out of everyone in Valhalla… nobody hates the Gods more than you!" She told him, a glint in her eyes.
"KAAAA HA HA HA!" Buddha laughed. I like 'em! Those eyes full of worldly trouble! It's almost like good and evil don't matter to you… as long as you achieve your goal." He stated.
"On the contrary... The only goal Brunhild has is saving Humanity from the Gods." Null said firmly. "And the only being that hates the Gods more than you… is me!" He said seriously. "Hell, I went through all the trouble of picking out the perfect opponent for you, what a shame." He said with a sigh.
Null and Buddha stared each other down as their aura's clash for a moment. Until the God of Enlightenment laughed out once more.
"KAAAAAA HA HA HA HA HA! Man you sure are a riot! Those eyes just scream out wrathful hate!" Buddha said, wiping away a tear. "Well, whatever. But there's one thing you oughta remember… I can't just leave that be, now." He muttered, and walked off. Leaving Brunhild to tremble only for Null to ease her concern and turn to stare at Buddha with bright red eyes.
"Worry not, I'll be here for you. Always." Null reminded her.
"He truly is… a terrifying person." Brunhild stated.
"Hmmm, which is why the mortal I chose would have been perfect." Null stated.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! You can't do that!" Heimdall shouted. "We've already decided on the 14 Gods and 14 Mortals that would be fighting… so you switching over to Humanity throws everything out of ord-"
"I don't mind it." Zeus stated, walking down the steps with his brother, Hades by his side.
"L-Lord Zeus! But…But the rules of Ragnarok…" Heimdall tries to counter.
"Are that either the Gods or Humanity must win 8 matches to gain victory." Zeus said firmly. "That… is all that's stated in article 62, paragraph 15 of the valhalla constitution." He stated. "It's not everyday… you get to see a twist like this one. In fact… it's enough to make me want to go again."
"Agree, brother. This truly has become interesting." Hade stated.
"Thanks. I mean… I wouldn't mind going against either of you, Zeus or Hades." Buddha stated.
"Unfortunately… we still must fix the line up so that they are even." Null sad, appearing before the two Greek Gods. "I work hard on fetching these guys with the soul purpose of killing either God on the List." He said calmly.
"A replacement for the side of Gods is in order, if Buddha is going to be fighting for Humanity." Lord Arcane clarified, appearing next to Null.
"Hohoho… indeed, I guess we must… to be fair." Zeus said, nodding and rubbing his chin.
"If a replacement is needed… I would mind taking Buddha's spot… I have been itching for a good massacre." Hades said with a sinister smirk.
"Fine by me, I already know the perfect opponent for you… God of Souls." Null said with an eye smile.
"Hohoho… splendid!" Zeus said cheerfully.
"Let me ask you… Buddha...are you prepared to make enemies of all us Gods?" Odin asked.
"Jeez… you Gods are persistent… didn't I just tell you guys? Friend or enemy… good or bad… God or Mortal… it doesn't matter who you are." Buddha told them "Cos in this whole world... I'm just me!" The crowd of Gods only grew angrier. "So… who will be my opponent?"
"Hohoho! Round 6 has already been decided." Zeus told him.
"Hmph, say no more." Buddha stated.
Then everyone heard punishment being chanted over and over again in the skies was a large boat and on it were the 7 Lucky Gods, they drop down and Bishamonten and Buddha stare each other down.
"Now then… I'll leave it to you." Zeus told Bishamonten.
"Understood." Bishamonten said firmly.
"It's all in your hands now, don't make me regret this." Null told Buddha, and was returned to the balcony.
Just as the conversation was getting wrapped something even more surprising had happened, Cumber The Evil Saiyan jumped right into the arena at the same time Baldur the Nordic God of Hunt was also in the arena, both of them were staring each other down.
"I've been wanting to kill you since the moment I saw you, painfully and slowly." Baldur said with a savage grin
"A feeling that we share, I want nothing more than to slaughter you." Cumber said with a deep growl.
A dark red aura came off Cumber and a bright blue aura came off Baldur, the two aura clashed creating sparks and cracking the ground under them from the sheer pressure. Both had a glare of pure bloodlust, either one could attack at any moment.
"Hey Cumber, now is not the time to be acting up." Hearts told him, teleporting beside the Saiyan.
"Baldur, it's best if you return to Odin's side." Zeus told him.
Neither one listened and simply continued to glare at each other. It was clear that neither mortal or God plan to move until one has killed the other, Cumber's and Baldur's aura only double in size and power, a raging Great Ape and feral Wolf begin to form out the two auras.
"No use, these two are like wild animals with the taste for blood. I was hoping to have this fight later but neither one is backing down." Null thought. "I have a suggestion, since Cumber and Baldur are in the mood to fight, why not have these two fight and let Buddha later." He stated.
"Huh?" Heimdall shouted. "But we just changed the opponents for Round 6!"
"Besides, I'm itching to see Buddha fight." Zeus added.
"Then why not have a joint match, Buddha and Cumber against Baldur and Bishamonten. More precisely, Cumber and Baldur fight first then Buddha and Bishamonten have their turn for the rest of the match of Round 6." Null explain.
"And what if there are two different winners for round 6?" Hades asked the obvious question.
"If Cumber and Buddha win their match that gives a single point to Humanity and if either one of them loses then a point will go to the Gods. Sounds fair?" Null said, with an eye smile. "Besides, I doubt these two want to wait a moment longer for their fight." He said, pointing at the two bloodlusting fighters.
"Very well, sounds fair." Zeus said, stroking his beard.
"I agreed, and I'll be honest… this mortal's aura is intriguing and I wish to know more about it." Hades said with a nod.
"It's decided then, the first part of Round 6 will be Cumber vs Baldur and the second part will be Buddha vs Bishamonten." Null concluded. "We need to get Cumber ready for his fight and change up the arena." He said returning to the side of Humanity.
"Let's go, Cumber. You'll get your chance to fight once everything is ready." Hearts told the Saiyan.
The Evil Saiyan growls at Baldur more and walks off to prepare for his battle. The cursed Nordic God let out a chuckle and walked off to prepare for the slaughter he planned to unleash on the Saiyan.
"This is going to be fun!" Baldur thought, unable to contain his sadist excitement.
Brunhild was pacing back and forth while Null and Hearts try to contain the Evil Saiyan's ever rising bloodlust and fury, Geir stood a safe distance from the hulking giant of a Saiyan.
"Ah, Big Sis… just who is going to partner up with…. h-him?" Geir asked, pointing at Cumber. "Which one of our sisters can handle such a monster?" She asked, concerned.
"I have the perfect one in mind, Geir." Brunhild told her. "I just wish she would get here sooner." She said with a cold sweatdrop.
Cumber looked like he was ready to go on another rampage from waiting for his Valkyrie partner and his chance of killing Baldur, his small black bolts of evil ki were sparking off his body. The Evil Saiyan was like a caged animal that wanted to taste freedom, Null and Hearts brace themselves in case they have to fight the beastly Saiyan Warrior.
"So this savage beast is my partner?" A mature female voice asked.
Then a mature and beautiful woman appeared, she was wearing a skimpy version of the Valkyrie outfit with added black armor, she had long straight black hair, fair pale skin, dark green eyes, and wore make-up which was mainly greenish black eyeshadow and black lipstick.
"Sister Sanngrior…" Geir muttered.
"Honestly Sister Brunhild, I was hoping that you pair me up with Ghost Rider or Acnologia, hell I even take Esdeath." Sanngrior, The Sixth Valkyrie Sister said with a pouting sigh.
"It has to be you, Sanngrior." Brunhild told her.
"Is this feral animal capable of even speaking, besides his size he doesn't look like much." Sanngrior said with a judging stare.
"Huh? Are you looking down on me…" Cumber said with a snarl, approaching her. "Because you are, I'll kill you woman." He threatened, looking down at her.
"Oh?" Sanngrior said with a raised brow. "You'll kill me?" She repeated, acting scared.
The Valkyrie places her hand on Cumber's chest and with mild effort, slams him against the wall! Cumber let out a grunt in pain, leaving a dent in the wall behind him with a large spider web crack.
"Y-You…" Cumber groaned.
"If anyone is going to kill anyone, it's going to be me!" Sanngrior said with a more deranged look on her face. "Hahaha… so this is the almighty Evil Saiyan of Legends! Hahaha, what a joke!" She said, mocking Cumber.
"Sanngrior, meaning very cruel and very violent… she is the perfect one to handle Cumber." Brunhild said with a sweatdrop.
"I-I forget how scary Sister Sanngrior can be." Geir said, trembling.
Cumber let out a low growl and grabbed Sanngrior's arm, which was still against his chest and tightened his grip and launch himself forward and slams Sanngrior against the wall with greater force! Creating a larger dent in the well and a larger spider web crack, this would be enough to kill any average warrior but the Valkyrie was only mildly bothered by it, Cumber slams his other hand mere centimeter away from the Valkyrie's face, his fingers curling up and digging into the stone like sand.
"Try something like that again, and I'll make you suffer…" Cumber threatened with a beastly growl, his dark and sinister eyes burrowing into her soul.
"O-Oh~? Is that a promise~?" Sanngrior said in a flirting tone and a faint blush, catching the Saiyan off guard. "Now that I have better look at you, you're quite handsome… for a savage beast." She said, stroking her hand against his face.
"I forget, Sister Sanngrior is a total a masochist." Geir thought with a sweatdrop.
"Alrighty then, I accept you as my partner. Treat me well~." Sanngrior told the Saiyan with a wink.
"D-Damn woman…"Cumber muttered, still caught off guard by the Valkyrie.
And with that the two performed Volund, back in the arena it had a huge change from before. It was a large Nordic forest with plenty of mountains and a large lake with a few nordic altars of stone for prayers. If the arena for Round 4 was large then this was massive, many were confused with so many changes but the number one that confused the most was… what kind of fighter of Humanity were they dealing with?
"SORRY FOR THE MANY CHANGES BUT HERE IT IS! WITH HUMANITY AND THE GODS TIED ONCE MORE THIS WILL BUT THE TIE BROKER THAT WILL EITHER PUT HUMANITY AHEAD OF THE GODS ONCE MORE OR PUT THEM ONE STEP CLOSER TO EXTINCTION!" Heimdall shouted. "FIGHTING FOR HUMANITY IS A TRUE MONSTER AMONG HIS RACE, THIS FIGHTER BELONG TO A RACE OF ALIEN WARRIOR THAT GROW STRONGER WITH EVERY BATTLE, IT WAS NONE OTHER THEN THE SAIYAN RACE! THIS SAIYAN WARRIOR IS SO SAVAGE AND BRUTAL THAT HIS VERY KI CAN CORRUPT OTHER SAIYANS AND BEND THEM TO HIS WILL! THIS BEAST OF A SAIYAN IS SO POWERFUL THAT THE POWER OF A GOD IS NOTHING TO HIM! COMING TO UNLEASH HIS WRATH AGAINST THE GODS, HE LUST FOR NOTHING MORE THEN INTENSE BATTLE… THE LEGENDARY EVIL SAIYAN HIMSELF… IT'S CUMBER!"
Cumber shows up in his prison vest and bonds in multiple heavy chains around him, he floats down in the arena.
AND NOW FIGHTING FOR THE GODS, IS ANOTHER POWERFUL WARRIOR FROM ASGARD, THE SECOND SON OF ODIN AND BROTHER OF THOR! HE IS UNMATCH IN UNARMED COMBAT, BLESSED WITH THE POWER OF LIGHT WHILE ALSO BEING CURSED BY HIS MOTHER MAKING HIM UNABLE TO DIE OR EVEN FEEL PAIN!" Heimdall shouted. "HE IS A PROFESSIONAL HUNTER AND TRACKER, HE IS EQUAL TO THE THUNDER BERSERKER IN TERMS OF RAW OVERWHELMING POWER! HE WANTS NOTHING MORE TO SLAUGHTER WHOEVER HIS OPPONENT THAT HE FIGHT IN ORDER TO FEEL THE THRILL THAT HE'S LOST MILLENNIUMS AGO! IT'S… BALDUR!"
Baldur came to the arena and wanted to leap a good distance to get to Cumber and land just a few inches away from him, creating a small crater in the process.
"I hope you're ready to be slaughtered, because I've been looking forward to this for a while." Baldur said with a savage and insane grin.
"The one who is going to be slaughtered here, will be you." Cumber said in a deep growl.
The Evil Saiyan's powers up and breaks out of his restraints with ease! His dark evil ki surrounding his body, he and Baldur glare at each other with one thought in mind, murdering the opponent before them!
The six matches of Ragnarok, The Evil Ancient Saiyan Vs The Cursed Nordic Hunter, Cumber vs Baldur… Mortal Savagery against Divine Savagery, a battle to break the tie, begins now!
Without wasting any more time, Baldur charges at Cumber with the Evil Saiyan doing the same, both of them throw a powerful punch with only pure strength! Cumber gets sent flying through a couple of trees and hits a large rock formation while Baldur skids across the ground and soon blood begins dripping down his mouth, he felt his mouth and his jaw was slightly dislocated and it snapped back in place on it's own, he spit out a small amount of blood. Cumber groans and let out a beastly growl and glare at the Nordic God.
"Damn, that was definitely a powerful one… too bad it didn't do a damn thing." Baldur said with a cocky smirk. "Don't go breaking down on me too fast, I want to savor the painful beating I'm gonna give you." He said with a deranged smile.
"You scum, that's my line." Cumber told the Nordic God. "I'll show you the power of a Saiyan!"
Cumber powers up with his dark aura flare up and lunges at Baldur and throws a powerful punch that slams against the Nordic God's face and begins outright pummeling the Hunter God's face, blood splat onto the ground and it look like Cumber was going to beat Baldur to death. Until one of Cumber's fists was caught by Baldur, he gave the saiyan a savage smirk and punches him across the face over and over again then throws Cumber into another rock formation which made Cumber let out a grunt in pain but didn't have time to process as Baldur charge right at him and kicks him through the rock formation into a larger rock formation. Cumber let out a grunt in pain as Baldur ran at him to kick once more, the saiyan caught the foot of the Nordic God and picked him up and slammed him into the ground over and over tossing him through a bunch of trees. Cumber flies right at Baldur and as he gets up the Evil Saiyan slams his foot into Baldur's face and into the ground, Cumber fiercely and savage pummels the Nordic God with his fist and forcefully pummels the God into the ground. Cumber then picks Baldur up and holds him by the throat and powers up and delivers a powerful and savage punch to his face and sends Baldur flying into a large Nordic rock formation, turning it into rubble that leaves the God buried.
"Is that all mighty God, I was expecting more!' Cumber shouted. "Come on, get up and fight me! Fight! Fight! Fight me dammit!" He shouted, his dark i flaring up and surrounding him.
"Jeez, this guy is no joke. His power is off the charts." Buddha said, approaching the group.
"Huh? L-Lord Buddha!?" Geir said in shock.
"Yo." Buddha said casually.
"That is quite a bold claim, Buddha." Brunhild told him.
"I guess, this Evil Saiyan is quite the fighter." Buddha said, stroking his chin.
"Sister… Lord Null… why would you pick such a monster to fight?" Geir asked, frightened by the Saiyan.
"Without a doubt Geir, the Saiyan race has the most potential and it's limitless." Null told her. "Cumber is no exception, his base power was more than enough to fight a fused Super Saiyan God without getting winded." He stated. "Without a doubt, he has enough power to murder most of the Gods here."
"R-Really!? He's that strong!" Geir asked, shocked.
"Indeed, Sayians live for the thrill of battle and like most Saiyans, Cumber lust for a worthy challenge." Null told her. "His Saiyan Pride won't allow him to have anything other than intense battle to the death."
"S-Seriously!?" Geir asked, shocked. "He's that strong, unbelievable." She muttered.
"Just watch Geir, and you'll soon come to understand the true power of a Saiyan." Null told her.
Cumber flew right at rubble and as he close on in one of piece of smashed rock is thrown at him, Cumber smashes it with his bare fist, more chunks of stone are toss at the saiyan and Cumber smashes the all with ease, Baldur had dug himself out and pick up another chunk of stone with one hand and toss it like it was a ball, Cumber smashed it and dive right at Baldur and slam his fist against the Hunter God but Baldur caught his fist so Cumber throw another punch but that caught as well and the two enter a battle of pure physical strength, Cumber plants his feet onto the ground and tries to dominate the Nordic God but Baldur prove to be just as physically strong and soon they end up splitting the end underneath, creating a large fissure in the ground. Baldur changed tactics by kicking Cumber square in the chest and sending him flying and hitting the ground hard, making a small crater. Baldur runs up and jumps and slams his knees onto the Evil Saiyan's gut, making him gasp in pain and then get viciously punched in the face over and over again, pummeling him farther deeper into the ground. Cumber grab Baldur by the face and slam him into the ground, then smash his fist against Baldur's face and unleash a barrage of savage punches.
Blood dripped down Cumber's face from the beating Baldur gave him, Cumber raised his foot and slammed it down on his face and created a bigger crater. Baldur gets up like it was nothing, blood was dripping down his face for a bit but it heal up in seconds, he had savage grin on his face and lunge right at the Evil Saiyan and delivers a powerful right punch to his face making a small shockwave, Cumber stagger back and then returns the favor with his own powerful right punch to Baldur's face, the two soon begin exchanging powerful blow to each other faces! Blood splat to the ground as both their faces get bloody and slightly bruise up but Baldur's injuries look to heal up in a instant, Cumber cupped his hands together and hits Baldur with a double ax fist, slamming him to the ground once more and stomps his face in but Baldur caught his foot and uses his overwhelming physical strength to slam Cumber into the ground over and over before tossing him to a larger Nordic rock formation. Cumber cough up blood through his face cover and grunts in pain, Baldur jump right at him and shoulder slam Cumber in the chest and through the rock formation and tries to give him another savage beating but Cumber caught his fist and punches him in the gut and then grabs his face and slam it against his knee and finish up with a powerful right hook that was so strong that it snapped Baldur's neck, Cumber held out his hand and created a yellow Ki blast with a black outline and shot it at Baldur's body and blast him onto the ground and created a big explosion!
"Tch, worthless wretch." Cumber said, floating down where Baldur's body lay limp in a crater. "Is that all you got!? Is this the so-called power of the Gods, pathetic!" He shouted with rage.
Cumber began walking away, he was both pissed to have such a let down and after all the talk. Then to the surprise of many and especially Cumber, Baldur got up like nothing had happened and snapped his neck back in place.
"What the!? How are you alive!?" Cumber shouted, unable to figure out how Baldur was able to get up.
"Didn't Brunhild or the pathetic Bookkeeper tell you, I'm immortal!" Baldur said with a savage grin.
The Evil Saiyan widened his eyes in shock at that claim, Baldur took this chance to deliver a strong gut punch with far more power then before, making Cumber widened his eyes from the pain and stagger back only for Baldur grab him by his shirt and pull him in close and to delivers a powerful punch to the face and sent him flying through a couple more trees and into the side of a mountain! Cumber let out a gasp of pain and spat out blood once more, one thing that he caught on was that Baldur was holding back before and was now fighting more seriously.
"That bastard was holding out on me, this damage is more severe than the ones from before." Cumber thought, blood leaking down the side of his head. "Hahaha, now I'm getting excited." He said, a savage grin forming behind his face cover.
"So even with the power of Ki… Baldur is still alive, I figured as much. That curse of his is no joke." Null said seriously.
"I guess so, Baldur's curse was created by a Goddess." Brunhild stated.
"Sister… Lord Null, does Cumber stand a chance if Lord Baldur is immortal?" Geir asked in a concerned tone.
"It's not that he's immortal, Geir. Baldur was cursed so that neither magical or physical attacks could kill him let alone hurt him. I had hoped that the power of Ki would do the job but I guess not." Null said with a sigh.
"Huh? Cursed, by who?" Geir asked, confused.
"Who else? Baldur was cursed by his own mother, Freya." Brunhild told her. "In order to protect Baldur from any and all forms of harm, including death… she placed the curse on him."
"Unfortunately, the curse took away his ability to feel anything and everything. It drove him insane and he's resented Freya ever since, he's been looking for a cure all this time to end his curse but has no luck." Null finished the explanation.
"No way…" Geir muttered.
Cumber powers up and lunges right at Baldur and throws a powerful punch right across the Hunter God's face and follows up with a uppercut, Baldur doesn't lose his savage grin and throws a powerful right hook and follows up with a savage straight punch to the face. Cumber throws another powerful punch but Baldur caught it and throws the Evil Saiyan over his shoulder and into the ground, Cumber grunts in pain and tries to smash his skull in but Cumber roll out the way and get up and throws his own powerful punch into Baldur's jaw and nearly made his neck snap once more, Cumber create another ball of Ki and blast Baldur in the chest! Baldur staggers back with a visible and fatal chest wound but it heals up instantly and Baldur kicks Cumber in the chin and sends him flying to another Nordic rock formation and charge and tackle him farther into the rock formation and delivers a brutal and mercilessly beating, pushing Cumber deeper into the rock formation, Baldur cock his fist and deliver a extra strong punch and sent Cumber flying through the solid rock and into the ground a few inches away from the Hunter God, Cumber spat up blood and let out a groan of pain.
"Let me fill you in on a little on something, the whole time we've been fighting I haven't been able to feel a single thing." Baldur told Cumber. "I was hoping fighting a monster like you would make me feel something but nothing, it's pointless for you because soon that body will break down while my body remains intact, that's what makes this a slaughter." He said with a deranged grin.
Baldur kicked the Evil Saiyan across the ground and sent him flying into another Nordic rock formation, Baldur ran up right at him and delivers a powerful and beastly punch to his face, he let out a stream of insane laughter as he pummeled Cumber's face. The Evil Saiyan held out his hand and Baldur thought he was about to fire another Ki blast but instead a dark red Ki blade stabs the Nordic God through the chest, Cumber clenched his fist and delivers a powerful punch and Baldur sent into the side of a hill. Cumber appeared in a flash and held out his hand with a bigger ball of dark red Ki, the ancient saiyan had a bloody face and looked pissed.
"Feel this." Cumber muttered.
He unleashes a powerful Ki blast that engulf Baldur and the whole hill in a large red beam, once the blast died down and smoke had cleared all that was left was a flat land now. Cumber let out a "hmph" and wiped a bit of blood off his face.
On the side of Humanity
"U-Unbelievable… he wiped out that hill and Lord Baldur like it was nothing and doesn't even look winded." Geir said in pure shock.
"That's why I chose Cumber to fight Baldur, the sheer level of power he has is beyond any other fighter of Humanity. Plus with Sanngrior's power of enhancing the power and output of his evil Ki to the max also plays a part." Null stated.
On the side of the Gods
"W-What in the world is with this mortal!?" Ares asked, sweating bullets.
"His power seems to be giving off a dark aura, I never seen anything like this before." Hermes said, confused but intrigued.
"Interesting, his power seems to have a dark nature. But is it from him or from something else?" Hades said, intrigued by Cumber's power. "It makes sense that this mortal wouldn't be of human nature."
"It seems like Baldur is being pushed back, his opponent is quite a monster." Loki said, watching the fight. "For now anyway, until he gets truly serious and pummels this mortal into the ground." He said with a creepy and excited smile.
"Hmph, this mortal doesn't understand how pointless his struggling is!" The Black Raven shouted.
"Indeed, no matter how powerful this mortal is, he can't overcome Baldur's curse!" The White Raven agreed.
"Foolish birds, my son hasn't even used his true power yet." A female voice stated, it was revealed to be the Nordic Goddess of Love, Queen of Asgard, and former leader of the Valkyries. "So Far Baldur has only been using his physical strength, once he starts using his divine power it will be over for that mortal." She said firmly.
Odin remains silent and watches on, observing everyone one of Cumber's movements very closely.
"Is that all!? I was expecting more from you, Hunter! If you're immortal as you say, then get up and fight! Fight me with your true power! Quit holding back and fight me for real! Now!" Cumber shouted with great anger.
All Cumber got was silence which pissed him off, the Evil Saiyan was about to take flight to find Baldur's body and turn it into ground beef but a blitzing blur hit Cumber in the face and sent him skidding across the arena for a bit, he stop and look around for anything but saw nothing and is hit in the face by a barrage of fast and savage attack! Cumber grits his teeth then times his attack and throws a smashing punch but it was caught… by Baldur! The Evil Saiyan widened his eyes and was hit in the chest by another fast attack that his eyes couldn't see and was sent flying a short distance, he landed and coughed up blood.
"Is that more to your liking, Evil Saiyan?" Baldur asked with a savage grin. "You're more powerful than you seem, I guess I should return the favor in kind and get serious. You won't mind right?" He asked with an insane chuckle.
The runes on his body glow a light blue and Baldur uses his Rune of Swift to close the distance between them in an instant with a great speed and attacks with a raging stream of punches that pummel every inch of Cumber's body. The Evil Saiyan could only tank the blows as best as he could, his blood splat against the ground as Baldur continued to beat him senseless all while he laughed like a madman!
On the side of Humanity
"This looks bad, Cumber is taking a serious beating out there." Heart pointed out, watching the fight.
"Just why did you pick such a fighter, aren't there much stronger members of his race?" Geir asked both confused and still a bit afraid of the Evil Saiyan.
"A fair question, Geir. I could have picked the Strongest Saiyan that was born on Earth, Son Goku. I could have picked the Prince of All Saiyans, Vegeta. I could even have bit the Brutish Saiyan, Broly. Son Goku is a living fighter prodigy that has surpassed the power of the Gods, Vegeta has worked tirelessly to break his limit time and time again, Broly was born with a great power and unmatched talent." Null said calmly. "Yet out of all of them, I chose Cumber to fight in this tournament, do you know why Geir?" He asked her.
"I-I… will… I'm not sure." Geir answered.
"Watch Geir, watch the fight closely and you'll soon understand why." Null advised her.
Baldur continued to pummel Cumber with fast and savage blows, but then as the Nordic Hunter threw another punch it was caught by Cumber, who was covered in bad bruises but was still standing like nothing happened.
"Those punches actually hurt, so this is your full power?" Cumber said, wiping blood off his face. "Impressive, but nothing compared to mine!"
And then Cumber threw an extremely powerful punch that would have cave anyone else's face in and sent Baldur flying, Cumber then used his Ki to create two beastly dark claws and form them around his arms and fly right at the Hunter God. Cumber delivers a powerful kick and sent Baldur into the ground and slams his both his knees into his stomach, Cumber gets up and swing his dark Ki claws down and began mauling him like a feral animal, hacking and slashing the divine flesh of Baldur but the severe and horrifying wounds that were being given, heal within a instant. Cumber dispel his Ki claws and pick up Baldur by his throat and smash his fist against his face and mercilessly pummel the Hunter God with powerful punches, Cumber created a ball of dark red Ki and blast Baldur in the chest and sent him flying into a Nordic rock formation. The Evil Saiyan was about to let out another scream of frustration but Baldur came at with insane super speed and punched him across the face, Cumber returned the favor with his own punch with pure strength in it. The two savage fighters enter a clash of blows, the runes on Baldur's glow a light blue and his speed increases by tenfold making his attacks a blur but Cumber was having the time of his life! Cumber hit Baldur in the gut with a strong knee strike, Baldur hit him the chest with a powerful and fast kick, Cumber hit Baldur in the face with a powerful kick, Baldur countered with a elbow strike to the face, Cumber and Baldur slammed their fists into each other's face.
"Hahaha, more! My Saiyan blood is boiling now! More! Fight me more!" Cumber shouted with a savage grin behind his face cover.
"Hahahaha! That's my line, this is the most fun I ever had in forever! Baldur said with insane laughter and a savage grin.
Cumber powers up to the max level of his base power, a dark red aura with a black outline was around Cumber's body and his muscles were more bulk up while Baldur used his Rune of Strength to enhance his physical strength dramatically. The two continue to exchange but their clash was becoming so powerful that their blows created small shockwaves, Cumber was a truly powerful fighter if his opponent was anyone else they be just as bloody and badly bruise up as Cumber was right now but his opponent was Baldur and any damage he took from the beastly saiyan heal up in a instant while his injuries only grow more severe by the minute. As the savage clash of blows continued, Cumber's stamina began to decrease and so the power and speed in his punches decreased as well.
"What's the matter, evil Saiyan!? Don't tell me you're running out of steam now!" Baldur said in a mocking tone. "Is my divine power too much to handle!? Come on! Don't go breaking down on me now! I want to keep having fun!" He shouted, now getting disappointed with the Saiyan.
"Shut your mouth, wretch! That's my line!" Cumber shouted, throwing a right hook but it lacked the monstrous power from before.
"Pathetic!" Baldur told him, throwing a powerful punch to his face! "What kind of punch was that!? Come on now, don't spoil the fun just yet!" He shouted, mercilessly beating the shit out of Cumber. "Come on! Show me your real power, I know you have more than this!"
The Evil Saiyan kicked Baldur with all his might into a mountain size Nordic rock formation, he sent a few blasts of Ki to weaken the base structure and then with raw physical power he sent the towering Nordic rock alter slamming on top of Baldur, Cumber then flew high in the sky, he was panting. He wasn't expecting a God to be this powerful, even his maximum base power wasn't enough to take down the Nordic Hunter… and this excited Cumber greatly, he might have to get serious now.
"This might be more of a challenge then I thought, hehe good." Cumber thought, taking off his face cover which revealed a scar on his face and crushed it.
"Do you think you can handle this battle?" Sanngrior said in a taunting tone.
"Shut it, women! Just continue doing your part in making my Ki stronger!" Cumber thought back.
Baldur left the large rock and tossed it to the side and saw the saiyan in the sky, he was about to leap right at him but he got a more "fun" idea. Baldur sunk his fingers deep into the large Nordic stone and left it up and threw the whole thing at Cumber! The Evil Saiyan saw the large rock coming right at him and instead of blasting it, he smashed fists into it and punched his way through, it lasted a whole minute before the Nordic stone was reduced to peddle. His knuckles were bleeding and he was panting but he had a savage warrior grin on his face, he dropped down and sent a beastly glare at Baldur who returned it.
"This fight has been fun so far, but I know you're holding back more power. Show me more of your power, show me the power of a God!" Cumber told Baldur. "I'll show you the true power of the Saiyan race and with it, I'll obliterate you!"
"Fine, then show me your true power, Evil Saiyan! Come at me with all of your might!" Baldur shouted with an insane grin on his face.
Cumber lets out a battle cry and unleashes a powerful dark red aura, his muscles bulk up even more and his hair raises and spikes up, flashing from black to yellow with his eyes turning from red to teal, black and white sparks come off his power as Cumber powers up even more. The whole arena shocked a little from the sheer force of Cumber's power, with one final cry a dark golden flash came off Cumber and once the light died down, Cumber had spiky golden hair, teal eyes, and a golden aura with a black outline. Baldur looked at the new form Cumber took in awe and savage excitement, Cumber was now a Super Saiyan, the power he gave off was nothing like he did before.
"L-Lord Null, what's happened to Cumber? What with that form?" Geir asked, confused.
"This one of the powers the Saiyan Race have, transformation. Cumber has now become a Super Saiyan, it was once a legendary but with enough training any Saiyan can transform into a Super Saiyan in fact this is just the tip of the iceberg." Null explained. "Their multiple varieties of the Super Saiyan form but for now, just watch." He told her.
"Whoa! Now that something else! To think you were hiding such a power is making my blood boil with excitement!" Baldur said with a savage grin.
Baldur channels his divine power and uses it to bulk up his muscle to increase the output of his blows, he uses his Rune of Strength and Rune of Swift at the same time which unleash a bright light blue aura coming off his body, making him even stronger than before. The two lunge at each other and throw a powerful punch the moment their fist connected, a big shockwave was blast through the whole ring! They clashed their fist and it created more shockwaves that ripple throughout the arena. It was far more intense then before, Cumber ended the clash of punches with a brutal kick to Baldur's ribcage and grabbed him by the face and slammed him into the ground and dragged him along the ground for a while, he then tossed the Hunter God through a bunch of trees.
Baldur picked himself, the skin was scraped off and that created a gruesome sight but it healed up in an instant. Cumber flies right at him and delivers a powerful knee strike to his abdomen and forms a powerful ball of Ki and blasts directly in the face! Baldur staggered back and it revealed that his face was burned flesh and bone but it healed up within seconds, Baldur returns the favor by hitting Cumber deep in the gut with a fast and strong punch then delivers a even more fast and powerful kick to his face with the intent of kicking his head off but all it did was sent Cumber flying into a large rock. Baldur charges alright at him and unleashes one of his fighting techniques, a technique that reveals the move of his brother, Thor's Hammer in terms of raw power; Divine Hunter's Shot! The runes of his body glowed with a bright blue light and was channeled into his fist and slam down into Cumber's chest, cracking a huge explosion of light and a few seconds later, Cumber was in a large crater with Baldur standing over him, a deep dent was on the Evil Saiyan's gut.
"How was that? Did you like my techniques?" Baldur asked the ancient saiyan, but he only coughed up blood. "I'll take that as a yes." He said, picking the saiyan up but his hair.
He headbutts him over and over and then finishes with a powerful kick to the face that slams him into the ground, face first.
"Don't go dying on me now, we still have plenty of fun to have." Baldur said with a craze and sadist grin.
Here's the first part. I'm making this a two parts because the fight between Cumber and Baldur is going to be longer than I thought, who do you think will win this round? Are you team Baldur or Team Cumber? I'm not gonna spoil anything, I saw the latest chapter of Shuumatsu no Valkyrie and Buddha is in for a serious challenge. But here is a choice that you can make, would you rather have me go through with having Buddha fight? Or would you rather have a mortal fight against Zero? Your choice.
