Intruder Alert
Chapter Seven
Captain Lee Crane had moved to the plotting table after talking with the radar/sonar officer at his station. There were maps sitting on the plotting table as he had asked for them.
He looks up to see Commander Wills heading his way with some type of a message in his hand. "Sir, I have a very disturbing message for you?" Commander Danny Wills hands the communications into his hands to begin reading while he waits for his reaction.
It didn't take all that long for it to happen with Lee Crane's anger throwing the communications across the plotting table. "SON OF A BITCH! I just can't believe this. I will need to call the Institute to find out whether a report was sent by SECNAV on the names of that personnel found in the waters." he says with annoyance.
"I will call them Captain since I know this is most disturbing with the news?" Commander Wills motions with his suggestion.
"No, you won't Commander. I will call from my quarters to have Sparks send communications to Admiral Harriman Nelson to get back to me." he pointed out with an exhale moving away from the plotting to head up the all-new spiral staircase much wider for crewmembers to be taking during general quarters.
Commander Wills stays still for a brief moment before heading for the radio shack to speak with SPARKS.
"Yes, sir, what can I do for you after that reaction from the Captain?" he responded by placing his earphones back over his head.
"Send a code one message to Admiral Nelson to have him talk with Captain Lee Crane to have it sent to his private quarters?" Commander Wills cried out with his own emotions spilling over once more.
NELSON INSTITUE
Admiral Harriman Nelson had been talking to the authorities of the Saipan naval base in regard to the findings of the ten bodies found in the island waters by the fishermen.
Commander Joel Roberts from San Franciso had been in charge of the small Naval base for the past five years when he had received the report from the local authorities finding the naked bodies with the names of each of the personnel from the Submarine Seaview.
"Harriman, I just don't understand it? Why have names listed on their chests once the villagers were able to find them to be truly upsetting? But where is the rest of the crew and Captain Chip Morton?" he motions with his comment.
"A good question to be asking right now Commander? When do you think the bodies will be shipped back to the United States and the Institute?" Admiral Nelson was anxious to know since this was an upsetting situation since he had no idea what has been going on.
"In a few days once I set up the transportation. I suggest you don't say a word to their families for sure until we know it's them for sure Harriman?" Commander Roberts makes mention over the communications terminal.
"Of course! Since I will have to have the doctors here at the Institute check out their IDs depending on their DNA, fingerprints, and teeth are in place." Nelson alluded with a whopper of a headache from the strain of the situation.
"Do you have any other questions Admiral Nelson to be asked of me?" he paused for the moment.
"Not a thing unless something else happens that will require my attention for when it comes to the Seaview and the personnel?" Admiral Nelson barked back.
After the end of the communications with the commander. Angie knocked on the door of Nelson's office to tell him to contact Captain Lee Crane of the Bellius.
"Angie, do you think he found out about the deaths of the personnel from the Seaview?" he croaks out with his response.
"Yeah, Harriman, he's waiting on line one of the special communications terminal code one security," Angie tells him with leaving his office.
Nelson turns to say to her. "Thank you for your support Angie." he cried out heading up from his black swivel chair to move to the wall to open up with opening the terminal to speak with Captain Lee Crane on the Bellius. "Captain what did you hear about the deaths of the crew members?" he pleaded.
"We received a report from ONI from the Saipan, Naval base getting reports from the local fishermen's finding the bodies in the water with the tape of names pasted to their naked bodies. We don't the names at all on who were the bodies, Admiral. Do you have the information?" Lee exhales as the tension of getting the communications was too much for him.
"No, Lee, however the commander of the base on the Saipan island is setting up a special transport to have all of the bodies transported back to the United States and the Institute to have the doctors do autopsies on the bodies to find out what caused them to die," he responded with anger in his demeanor.
"That can take weeks to find out the truth since we are no closer to the answers except for the strange occurrences happening on the Bellius with systems breaking down without reason." Lee cried out to Nelson over the communications terminal.
"True, Lee. By the way, how is the crew dealing with the cruise so far and the breakdowns of the equipment?" Nelson asked with his heart beating quickly all of a sudden.
"They are doing their best Admiral. By the way, have you heard from your wife Syrian having to be in Russia with her program associates?" Lee will ask about the woman having a friend of hers in spite of the fact he had married for a second time after divorcing Commander Rose Marie Cerley."
"They are on their way back to the United States on a special transport to the German Naval base before catching another flight before trouble starts again. I have tried to contact Darien in regard to the non-alliance countries as to why this is happening in the first place." he retorted with his comment.
"Hopefully soon Admiral Nelson we will be able to know all of the answers nevertheless?" Lee instructed with his statement needing further answers with the way he is totally stubborn.
ISLAND OF SAIPAN
Captain Chip Morton had been trying to get the answers as to why they were taken in the first place. Even though he had no idea where the Seaview was located or if it was destroyed.
Lauren had come back to check on her charge with Morton finishing his bath and food. He was being escorted back to the laboratory to speak with those having placed the GPS tracking device in the back of his neck.
What Morton didn't know was the fact there were rebels wishing to destroy those underground. Lauren and the guard watched over Morton as he was forced into another room that was empty at the moment.
"Wait here Captain Morton with someone I need for you to speak with?" Lauren was one of those rebels that she and a select few.
Lauren had called Colonel Wong Lee a rebel as well in another sector. He was in his office when Lauren had placed the coded message to his terminal needing to keep things a secret.
Moving up from his black chair. Colonel Wong walked over to his private terminal scrambling the signal so with whoever is trying to listen in.
"What is it Lauren?" he says softly with his demeanor.
"Sir, I have Captain Morton in room D on level 16. He's going to be waiting to speak with him whenever possible," she says.
"Fine, I will beam him into my office now with setting up the security screens now." he ended the communications to turn on the transportation beam when all of a sudden Captain Charles Morton is frozen into place not realizing what is going on.
"Captain Morton, I am Colonel Wong Lee a rebel for the Alliance fighting the cause for freedom. I am not talking about Planet's Earth Alliance but rather for Darien's alliance and his own people." he alluded moving over to pull up a chair for the Captain still in shock.
"What is this place?" Morton slowly croaks out his response.
Colonel Lee moved over to the dispenser filled with purified water for the Seaview captain to drink. "Have this it's water for you to drink. You're alright in a moment. I brought you here to explain what has been happening to your crews and submarine."
Standing up from the brown chair feeling slightly off balance. "Where are the rest of the crew and the submarine?" he cried out with his blood pressure and heart rate skyrocketing.
