Intruder Alert

Chapter 11th

"Lee, I am sorry to be catching you like this?" Lisa had to say to her husband. Even though the situation was uncomfortable for the moment.

"Don't worry about it, Lisa. At least you and Admiral Nelson are able to help with the disappearance of the Seaview and the crew?" Lee noted with his compliment for a change.

"Thanks, it was the only thing I could do Lee at the time. Besides we need to find out what is going on with the Seaview and the crew. Even though 12 of them are on the way home in a coffin having been found in the waters of the island of Saipan." she commented.

"I heard Lisa and no doubt Admiral Nelson is upset with these facts?" Lee will ask.

"Very much Lee. By the way, the kids are missing you a great deal, Lee as with myself in spite of all of the problems we are facing right now. I will wait for you to come back to discuss it further unless you change your mind about going through with the divorce. I completely understand that you're not been happy at all." she tells him with emotion.

"I will talk about it further Lisa when the Bellius gets back from this trip and I hope successful?" Lee blurted out to his wife Lisa over the intercom.

"Everyone is hoping Lee that the Bellius is able to find the Seaview and whoever is behind the abduction." she makes the comment.

"It's strange being on this submarine Lisa with the anger deep inside of me for having made the decision to give up the Seaview to Chip Morton. Though Admiral Nelson had been asking me for years to take over the Institute. I believe that it's too late now to change again for another position?" Lee cried out with his emotional response.

"I am so sorry Lee for you to be feeling this way. Maybe what you need right now when you get back from the cruise is to take a couple of months off to spend with me and the children with getting away from the beach house to head for Hawaii and simply just enjoy ourselves," she said with sympathy.

"It sounds nice Lisa. However, right now I have a job that needs to be done with going to the control room to have the personnel use every piece of equipment and see if they can find any type of energy field that might be causing the cloaking device. I am calling for a briefing first to get a few ideas from the engineering staff with Patterson one of the best." he croaks out with his compliment for Patterson and Kowalski.

"Take care Lee and try to relax a little before you wind up having some sort of a stroke or breakdown and your crew is going to be needing you." she cries.

Lee is going to say the words right now to Lisa. Even though it's been a long time since he had said them. "Lisa, I love you, please keep an eye on the kids," he says shocking the hell out of Lisa before she says the following.

"I love you, as well. Good luck," she said turning off the communications line before heading out to the two waiting for something for Lisa to say. "Lee is going to set up a briefing with his engineering staff to see if they can find any type of energy force that can produce the cloaking device." she exhales.

Doctor Sterling standing. "Smart move, Admiral Nelson!" he preceded to say to him and then Lisa.

"Listen I am going to be heading back to the beach house to try and rest. If I get another one of those images, I am going to keep a sketching pad on the side of me in bed or the couch." she will kiss both men on the cheek before walking away into her jeep.

BELLIUS Conference room two hours later after the conversation with Nelson and Lisa

The conference room was filled with engineering personnel including Patterson and Sarah Goodman making notes on her pad on how to look for a cloaking device. She was sitting next to Patterson talking to Chief Petty Officer Timmis on whether or not shutting down all power will be possible to use a piece of sniffing equipment, to see if there are any energy particles in the region and the chance that the cloaking device will be located at the Saipan island underground.

"Patterson, do you think this piece of equipment can actually work?" Captain Lee Crane will say to him with all eyes on him for confirmation.

Thinking about it for the moment...

"Yes, sir, it's possible. But then again we will need to shut down the entire submarine for maybe thirty minutes before we are able to sense the energy power levels. However, there is also the nuclear aspect with the sub that maybe get into the way of finding it." Patterson comments.

Someone else will say the following even though Commander Danny Wills has only been a figurehead on the sub. How about taking a small crew and using the only fly sub we have on board that the institute had given us and seeing if we can find the cloaking device. However, there is only a small handful of the crew that is qualified with the specs of the flying sub. That is Captain Lee Crane, Myself, Patterson, and Third Class engineer Sarah Goodman." he makes mention.

Captain Lee Crane was handed the specs handbook by Commander Wills keeping up with the Bellius and its crew in spite of the fact that some of them are not ready for action like this.

"Thanks, Commander. This is how it's going down. I will stay onboard the Bellius while Commander Wills, Patterson, Third Class Sarah Goodman, and pilot Chief Petty Officer Timmis. All of you will have a medical check first before checking out the Bellius sub we call instead of the flying sub. You're going to use all of the resources on whether you're able to find the source of the cloaking device."

"Yes, Captain. And if we do find the source do we contact the Bellius with the location along with following the trail to the possible cloaking device? There is going to be a good chance that you're going to be on their tracking devices and will use all military attack modes to knock you down." Captain Lee Crane needed to say to the group.

Doctor Winters sitting at the table was watching the reactions of the four to be involved in the mission to search for the cloaking device. "Lady and gentlemen please come now too sick so that I can start the physicals with the rest of the engineering crew to have the Bellius sub ready for flight.

Captain Lee Crane headed for the aft missile with the missile room crew to bring up the Bellius one flying sub as he goes abroad with the checklist with all new equipment that had been added by the Nelson Institute.

Lt. Donaldson came inside as well with his own checkboard with the changes made to the oxygen, medical, and most of all the weapons system with more power.

"This is amazing the Institute engineers had made to this model design?" Lt. Jeff Donaldson had to say with his experience.

"I know. I just hope to god that Commander Wills and Chief Petty Officer Timmins are able to fly this beast?" he was being coy with his response to the Lt.

"They have better be or else this operation is going to fail?" Lt. Donaldson had to be pensive all of a sudden.

Meanwhile, Captain Lee Crane turned on all of the instruments in front of him, especially with the sonar/radar systems and radiation Geiger counter added to the panel as he sees the flickering of light on the panel. "Do you see this Lt. Donaldson? the radiation levels are higher than normal and that's not possible since the nuclear power on this submarine is shielded." Captain Crane alluded by scratching the back of his head.

"I am going to call engineering and find out the levels in their section since they keep updated all of the time." Lt. Donaldson left the flying sub to head for the missile room intercom to call Commander Wayland in charge at the moment of the department.

Meanwhile in sickbay...

Doctor Jeremy Winters and his personnel were able to finish up with the physicals to find all four including the female Sarah Goodman to be in great shape. He will be able to release all four to have them head for the commissary to have a meal before starting the operation onboard the Bellius One.

Sarah Goodman had finished dressing as she asked Patterson whether he like to join her for their meal.

"Sure, I will. I am a little nervous you would think after years with the Nelson Institute?" he advised under his breath. "Plus the fact I am missing my friend Kowalski having to be on the Seaview." he cried out walking out of the much bigger sickbay and corridor to head for the next level and the commissary.

Sarah turned to speak with Patterson. "Have you spoken to Kowalski's second wife Eleanor?" she will say to Patterson having met her a few times running around the grounds.

"Only once since she was heading for the church to pray for the hope that her husband is still alive," Patterson said with his emotions getting to be a little too much at the moment. "Shall we go already before I begin to break down with grief?" he moved ahead of her with his long legs as compared to Goodman's.
