Holding onto my hand like it was for dear life, my husband led Peli and I back down the dirt street. I kept glancing over my shoulder for a look at Boba Fett. "You sure you should leave him alone with that guy, Mando?" "He'll be fine! We gotta get outta here!" Was the Mandalorian's hasty reply.

Things didn't get any better when we turned a corner, only to find a bunch of civilians firing at the monster, who had gotten himself on top of some buildings. We came to a halt, and I tugged on Mando's arm, not wishing to watch this beast die in front of me. Mando use his free arm to wave at the crowd. "You're scaring it! Put your blasters down! Stop shooting!" But it was too late- it was already climbing the city's high tower, which it was now ripping apart.

I looked at Mando in desperation. "Mando, do something!" Gazing back at my face, he reluctantly let go of my hand. Then he looked to Peli. "Keep her safe." Peli gawked back at him shocked. "Who's gonna keep me safe?!" But he wasn't listening to him; instead he had his eyes locked onto mine. His fingers caressed my cheek, brushing some stray hairs behind my ear. "It's going to be ok," were his last words to me. While I watched him fly up into the air towards the monster, Peli took hold of my wrist, gently pulling me away. "Come on. You shouldn't watch this." Well, she's not wrong; watching Mando fight was always a stressful experience for me. Besides, I believe Boba Fett's instructions were to take cover. No, not instructions- orders. With one last gaze up at my husband, I let Peli guide me away to somewhere we could hide.

I didn't see much of it but it sounded like it was a bad time for Mando. There was this large crashing noise which made me flinch. Peli gave my hand a reassuring squeeze. "Don't worry, Saoirse. That man of yours is crafty," she said before taking a peek and visibly wincing. "Oof. Spoke too soon." I guess right after this the beast must have thrown my husband to the ground, judging by the fear illustrated on my friend's face now. She peered back to me worriedly. "Uh, Saoirse? You might want to go out there. Looks like Mando needs your help."

Welp, she didn't need to say more than that! Disobeying Boba Fett for a second time, I didn't hesitate to dash out of hiding where I indeed saw Mando laying injured on the ground. And the monster was close to him; too close for comfort. There was a particularly strong gust of wind in that instant as I gazed at the beast. A small crowd of people who were trying to stay out of sight peeked their heads up to witness the scene. The monster roared and bellowed, not stopping until it saw me standing there. My hair was blowing in the sandy breeze, along with my black cloak. Staring at the creature, my lips unintentionally parted a sliver. Something odd was happening; something strange and familiar... The Force was calling to me, summoning me to act.

Stepping forward, I reached up my hand a little. By now everyone was watching, including Mando. The monster, for its part, roared in my face. All I wanted to do was to save it right then; save it, and save everybody else here. With that familiar buzzing in my ears, I gently shut my eyes. My hand reached out higher to the point where I was able to touch that thing's nose. My palm pressed in against it as we both lowered our heads a little. Our heads lowered, and my mouth unconsciously opened again as I breathed. I was using the Force to calm this animal down, to tenderly lull it to sleep.

By now, Boba Fett had turned the corner, coming into view. Well, not my view; my eyes were still shut. But everyone's else were locked worriedly- and in awe- onto me and the creature. Too tired to sense the new arrival's presence my eyes slowly reopened. The monster was soundly asleep by now, making the tiniest smile grow across my face. I was losing consciousness fast. My hand slid down off the thing's nose as my mind grew hazy. My body began to fall backwards, my vision going completely dark. I had already blacked out by the time I landed in Boba Fett's arms. I didn't know that he'd caught me…

Or that he proceeded to lift my motionless body up princess-style and carry me back over to Mando.
