Chapter 24th
Captain Chip Morton noted another side effect from the shot given to him from Doctor Anthony Sterling writing it down on the yellow pad with his left hand jerking a little from the nerve endings. Even his wife had seen this happening as he tried to lift up a spoon after finishing up their food and drinks.
Though in his case it was the Budweiser finishing up two bottles. He was rather shaken with the side effect even though it only lasted for a few moments.
Carol write the comment down as he was finishing up with the cleaning in the kitchen and dining area. "Is it any better Charles?" she will call him by his first name having to be a while since she had.
He was able to tell as she comes over to him to sit down onto his lap with that certain sensual look in her eyes. After 30 years he would know her alluring moves.
"Now what are you looking for little girl?" he posed the comment with a twinkle in his eye.
"What I want from you, Charles is you all of the way in the shower. I am very anxious to know your body once again." she will lick the bridge of his nose to give him the hint once again.
"Jesus Carol, I do hope that the aliens haven't affected your brain matter?" he was being coy with his wife after all this time.
She chuckles back at him with the following response. "Of course, not Chip since I love you a great deal and you're telling me that I have been affected by the Cajun aliens?" she had gotten off his lap for the moment as he will move off the couch to head upstairs to the bedroom to remove his clothing to have his wife to begin the waters of the shower.
"This is highly unlikely Carol that I will be able to finish anything with you after the stress I have been under with the cruise?" he pointed down to his genitals as there wasn't any action at the moment, however, Carol was able to convince him that something was happening as she went to work on him as he begins to cry out in the shower...
Sometimes later in the bedroom...
Captain Chip Morton had gotten up from the arms of his wife Carol after two rounds of intense sex. He had never been so riled up from the sex. He was beginning to wonder whether the Cajuns were testing him and the other Seaview crew members with their emotions.
Moving off the bed to head into the bathroom to throw cold water onto his face. He looks into the mirror to see his eyes seem to be exhausted and it feels like he's been through a war with his body.
Using the blue terry cloth towel to dry off his face as he headed back into the bedroom he finds his wife Carol awake...
"Why are you awake Carol?" he will sit down on the edge of the bed.
"Would you believe I am hungry again Chip? I was thinking since we are officially on vacation to order Chinese food at this late hour since the restaurant that I use is open 24/7 some 15 minutes away from the house. Are you interested unless you're gotten another side effect of the shot?"
He will shake his head in agreement. "Why not even though we have one thing to do is see Doctor Sterling in the morning at the medical center?" he points out getting dressed in his black robe and slippers to wait downstairs.
TEN O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING INSTITUTE MEDICAL CENTER
Doctor Anthony Sterling had been waiting in his office after coming in from his home with his wife waking him. He had been given a report from the two overnight doctors on duty telling him that all of the Seaview crew given the shot had side effects having written them down and everyone not having the same.
What he needed to be doing is speaking with Captain Morton since his wife Carol had called the medical center telling them that they were on the way in...
Rubbing the back of his neck...There was a knock on his office door as he gets up to see Captain Morton and his wife Carol. "I was beginning to wonder about you, Captain. How are you feeling since the shot was given to you?" he asked calmly...
"I was able to write down the side effects Doctor on the yellow pad and I must admit I found it extremely interesting nevertheless." he alluded by handing him the yellow pad into his hands.
"How so Captain?" Doc asked with his curiosity getting into the way of his persona.
"Let's just say that it enhances certain feelings and emotions for which I will not go into it right now Doctor Sterling." he alluded with a hint of a smirk showing on his face.
"This is amazing! Would you say that the shot I had given to you might have changed your electrical impulses of the brain?" It was a strange question for him to be answering in the first place.
"Listen, I am not a doctor, however, I like to have you go about giving me the second shot so that my wife and I can get out of here to do some shopping and walking?" he says calmly as Doctor Sterling had the syringe shot to wait for Captain Chip Morton inside the medicine cabinet ready to go for him.
Placing on his blue mask, gloves, and gown for the procedure. He checked the syringe before Morton was able to roll up the white sleeve of the shirt he was wearing with his black pants for the outing of shopping and walking.
"Continue on with writing down the side effects Chip and be back here tomorrow for a final follow-up?" he posed the question.
"Sure Doctor." Chip advised grumbling under his breath before he feels the shot of the syringe into his veins as he waits a moment to leave the doctor's office to run his errands.
"Good luck Captain Morton with your shopping and walking." he intervened with his concern for the Captain of the Seaview.
"Thanks," Morton instructed taking his wife's hand to leave the medical center.
Meanwhile Doctor Sterling had to speak with Admiral Harriman in person inside his office about his problem at the moment.
"What are you talking about Doctor Sterling about the Seaview crew that had been given two shots each?" Admiral Harriman Nelson had been confused.
Doctor Sterling was roaming his office with an idea that just might be crazy to Nelson and others. "This is what I have so far Harriman. What if Darien and the Cajuns are working together to set up a series of tests against us?" he alluded to seeing the horrid look on his face.
Getting up from his brown chair inside his office. "Why would he do something like that after he had been here a look time as part of the Alliance and United Nations?" Nelson blurted out with his response.
"I don't know Harriman. I just get the feeling along with other Seaview crew might be subjected to the tests like with Captain Chip Morton." he posed with the question as he had a headache himself thinking too much about it.
"This is the one thing I can't believe Doctor Sterling?" Nelson advised with his comment.
