Chapter 1
Lutz was working the counter and noticed a noble enter the shop. " Hello sir what can I help you find here at the gilberta company " he said. He watched as the noble handed him a list. He looked over the list. " I understand you need some more paper made by the myne studio " He said. He headed to the back room and got the bundle of paper for the noble. He took the money from the noble.
He noticed the noble handed him a cigar as a gift. " thank you kind noble but i am just a kid " he said. He noticed the noble place the cigar in his hand and left. He blushed as myne and her retainers entered. He noticed , She crossed her arms and pointed to the cigar. He rubbed the back of his head. " a noble gave it to me for quick service in getting the paper we made for them " He said.
Myne nodded and looked around the shop. " Wait lutz your running the shop by yourself " She said. She noticed he took a breath. She noticed Lutz went to the backroom and brought a note out. She looked at the note. " hello Lutz today you will be running the shop by yourself and if Myne comes by you have to make the deal for any of her ideas by yourself please note you will get graded " She read. She smirked " tough break " She said.
Lutz sighed and rubbed the back of his head. " All right Myne what's your idea your selling " he asked. He noticed Myne take his hand and go to the office. He took a seat at the table. He watched as she wrote her ideas " Five small gold and one big gold piece for all the ideas you wrote down " He said. He noticed Myne thinking about it.
He took a breath as Myne signed the contract and left. He headed back to the front of the shop.He was standing behind the counter seeing the children of nobles looking around the shop. He helped each one and noticed thier dad offer a light for the cigar. He laughed " thanks for the offer but i am a kid " he said as the noble understood and left with his kids.
He noticed Benno watching him and sighed. " Welcome back master Benno , how was your time away from the shop " He said. He followed Benno to the office and placed the records of the day on the table and the contract with Myne. He sighed noticing benno was staring at the cigar in his hand. " I wasn't sure what to do with it because it would be rude not to accept a gift " he said.
Benno coughed and sighed " Well your grade Lutz is an A and enjoy your victory " he said taking a lighter and lighting the cigar. He cuckled as Lutz looked at him. " Well have fun running the shop again tomorrow " He said leaving. He walked out of the shop.
Lutz sighed taking a puff of the cigar. He took a breath " not bad but kids should not smoke " he thought taking another puff. He relaxed a little more and sighed and put out the cigar. He left the shop and walked home bumping into Myne and his siblings. He noticed they smelt his breath and gave glares. He rubbed the back of his head.
Myne crossed her arms " I can't believe you smoked a cigar " She whispered and took his hand and washed his mouth out. She nodded once lutz breath was clean enough. " Mouthwash " She said as Lutz nodded thanks. " Do not smoke again " She said.
Lutz sighed " fine I guess Benno wanted me to learn a lesson of not smoking " he said. He walked home with his siblings. He gave a small smile. " mind not saying anything to mom or dad about me smoking i promise not to do it again " he said as his siblings ruffled his hair. He noticed glares from his mom and dad and gulped.
