Intruder Alert
Chapter 29th
After Admiral Nelson had come back from his house with Syrian to give him a change of uniform in case he might have to stay late at the Institute with making the plans for the briefing with Lauren and Darien.
Otherwise, he had arrived back with Angie working hard at her computer terminal to finish up the last of the documents for both Nelson and Crane. She had looked up to say to him the following. "Sir, Patterson and Third Class Sarah Goodman had called. They are on their way over with some information for you to know." she alluded with the statement.
"How I am not surprised since I have asked them to work on a little project for me after the briefing in the conference room," he tells her with a hint of a smirk.
Shrugging her hips for the moment. "Why am I not surprised Admiral for when it comes to you?" she prompted with her expression.
"When they get here have the both of them come into my office right away Angie?" he wasn't going to be fooling around with what has been going on with 21 dead crewmembers to be shown for in the morgue. As of yet, he's not received any type of a report on what exactly caused their deaths.
CITY MORGUE
Doctor Ernest Sherman with the city for the past 15 years. He had finished up five autopsies while the rest are with the Navy and three for the Nelson Institute.
Doctor Sherman had never seen anything like it with the brains had been shortened out with someone or something having used some type of a device to scramble the brain activity.
Finishing up the last of the autopsy he will leave the rest up to his assistant Doctor Gordon Thomas to clean up while he had a report to be typed up and sent to the Nelson Institute at the request of Admiral Nelson.
Moving into his office it was going to take a few moments with basically the same type of report on all five have to be the same with each of the crewmembers.
When he was done washing his hands in the lavatory. He had taken off his white coat before faxing over the report to Nelson's office.
Angie had been asked to stay in the office since she was told by Admiral Nelson about the arrival of Patterson and Third Class Sarah Goodman arriving.
She heard the fax machine is turned on as information from the City Coroner's office was sending the report on five of the Seaview crewmembers.
Reading the front page of the fax. She said the following under her breath. "Son of a bitch!" She needed to show Admiral Nelson this report right away.
Meanwhile inside the office...
Patterson and Goodman had been showing the experiment in front of Nelson with the electrical output of the cloaking device and so much more energy. They will be able to shortcircuit this particular power right away once Darien and Lauren are inside the bubble.
"Are you sure about all this the both of you?" Nelson cryptically needed to have said to the Patterson and Goodman.
"Yes, sir I am with the results. I would hazard a guess that the 21 on the Seaview that had died also had their brains scrambled as well since they weren't able to survive the attack on their brains. Have you been able to receive any of the autopsies reports on those deaths sir?" Third Class Sarah Goodman barked back with the question.
"I am waiting for the reports to be arriving any time." Nelson had alluded and a deep exhale when he sees Angie standing in the doorway with some sort of a report.
"What's going on Angie to have that type of expression?" Nelson alluded in a serious demeanor.
"Admiral it's bad news from the City's medical examiner with the first group of Five given to the officer. Doctor Sherman was able to come up with the answer as to what exactly killed them." she cried out handing the report into his hand.
"Patterson and Goodman please wait here with sitting down. Angie give them anything they need while I read the report?" he says calmly sitting down with placing on his bifocals in order to read the small print.
Meanwhile, Patterson asked for Coffee and Goodman a glass of water for now, while she had brought over the computer terminal to be sitting on her lap to make sure all is in order for when Admiral Nelson decides to go ahead with the electrical impulses to wipe out any brain imagery to come through the cloaking device during the meeting with Darien and Lauren.
He lifts his head to say the following. "It's a no wonder why the personnel had died on the Seaview with the 21 unable to recover from the severe damage to the brain memory core?" he instructed. "Doctor Sherman was right on the mark, while the other coroner's no doubt will be coming up with the same conclusion?" he gestured with his comment and with Patterson and Goodman to say the following.
"So are you going to try it Admiral Nelson with the device to short out anything that will be entering the bubble for the meeting tomorrow?" Third Class Goodman will say to him with a deep exhale as she was a nervous wreck at the moment.
Angie had left the office still confused since she had known some of the Seaview crew during the past few months. Meanwhile, Admiral Nelson needs to sit down at his desk to say the following..." Set up the field the both of you inside the conference room. After you have set it up, make sure that two security guards are posted so as not to have anyone enter until it's time for the meeting?" he pointed out with scratching the back of his head.
"We will get to it now since it's going to take 15 minutes to set it up inside." Patterson alluded to Sarah Goodman being anxious as hell to set up the electrical field inside the conference room.
SOMETIMES LATER AT THE KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN.
Patterson was starving as Sarah sat down waiting for their order to be ready. Sarah had been silent since leaving the Nelson Institute.
He had noticed the change in her mood swing while sitting down. "What's wrong Sarah?"
She looks up into his concerned face. "I am just worried that someone might wind up getting hurt in the process on whether the device is able to work during the time someone tries to send the electrical images into the bubble." she croaks sipping a bottle of water she had been drinking since leaving the Institute.
