What's up, guys? I'm back with the next episode of Koopa Island Survival! I hope you guys are enjoying this series so far because it's going to get even crazier with this episode. Before we start though, I do have a review to address.

Episode 2: Island Overrun Part 2
"Last time on Koopa Island Survival..."
"Twenty-two hopeful contestants signed up to spend eleven weeks here at this deserted island. They were split into teams and forced to interact with each other. Needless to say, there were a lot of dramatic moments. Anyway, the contestants are about to face their first challenge and will have to work as a team to win. Which team is gonna have what it takes? Stick around to find out! Right here on Koopa...Island...SURVIVAL!" said Isaac, ending the episode recap.
NB: Alright, so I decided to try my hand at creating a theme song for this series. The theme song is "Price Tag" by Jessie J with a few changes to the lyrics. It follows the same tune though. The theme song is sung by Koopie Koo, a supporting character from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for those who don't know. I think it's a pretty good fit for this series.
(Koopie Koo, Isaac, Ryan, and Boris are on stage in a band arrangement. Boris is on drums, Ryan is on the keyboard, Isaac is on guitar and Koopie Koo is center stage in front of a microphone.)

The scene opens up to all the contestants standing atop a rock formation that resembles a Koopa's head. This precipice overlooks the ocean from about 1000 ft. Those who usually wore clothes were now in their bathing suits.
"So...who wants to go first?" asked Isaac, as the contestants just stood there frozen in fear.
"Isaac, why are we up so high?!" asked Yoshi nervously.
"Yeah! I'm afraid of heights!" exclaimed Dave, shaking in fear.
"Relax everyone. This is your first challenge! In keeping with the spirit of Koopa Island, your first challenge is to take the 1000 ft leap off of Koopa Peak into the ocean below." said Isaac.
"Are you insane?! There's no way I'm doing this!" said Pauline, crossing her arms.
"Yeah hon, I don't even got no arms. How am I supposed to protect myself?" asked Goombella.
"Forget arms, I'm dead. I can't do the challenge anyway. I can float." said Boo.
"True, but I already accounted for that Boo. That's why you and Lyle are sitting out for this part of the challenge. You guys can cheer for your team from the beach." said Isaac.
"Woo! Alright! You got this Fire Flowers! Lyle's gonna hype you up!" exclaimed Lyle, as he started to float down towards the beach below.
"*groans* This is the one time I wished that I was alive..." said Boo, as she reluctantly followed behind Lyle to the beach below as well.
"Wait, hang on! I'm dead too. Why am I still in this challenge?" asked Derek.
"Because you still have a physical body. You're a skeleton. Plus, I gotta have an equal number of jumpers on each team. So, speaking of jumpers, I'll reiterate my earlier question: Who wants to go first?" asked Isaac.
"Nuh-uh. There is no way I can do this. Not without Tina." said Mina adamantly.
"And I'm not doing this without Mina." said Tina.
"You know girls if you don't jump, that's only gonna hurt your team and that will definitely backfire on you later on at the elimination ceremony." said Isaac, with a mischievous smile.
"Well, that's the only way I'm gonna do this! I'm not doing it alone!" exclaimed Mina.
Daisy looked at how distraught Mina was over this and then adopted a determined look on her face.
"Uh, Isaac, if it's alright with you, I'll switch with Tina so that she and Mina can be on the same team." said Daisy.
"*gasps* Really Daisy? You'd do that for me?" asked Mina surprised.
"Sure would! Nothing can replace a best friend! (to Isaac) So, how about it Isaac?" asked Daisy.
"If it'll get these two to jump faster, then go ahead." said Isaac.
"Eeee! Mina!" exclaimed Tina, as she hobbled over to her best friend.
"Tina!" exclaimed Mina ecstatically.
"Beetle hug!" exclaimed the two beetle besties, as they bumped their shells together.
"Well, looks like I'm a Mushroom now guys!" said Daisy, now standing next to Peach.
"Fantastic." said Pauline, in a sarcastic tone.
"Alright! Now let me explain the rest of the challenge. If you guys look to the ocean below, you will see a ring floating on the surface of the water. That is your target. Your team will receive one point for each person that manages to land in the ring." said Isaac.
"What happens if we don't land in the ring?" asked Luigi nervously.
"Well..."
Before Isaac could respond, a Cheep Chomp suddenly jumped out of the water and flew up to the top of the peak before descending back down into the waters below.
*everyone stares wide-eyed at what they just saw*
"Yeah...you might not wanna miss the ring. The team that scores the most points by the end of this will win an advantage that will help them in the second part of the challenge. You guys ready?" asked Isaac.
"Umm..."
"Well, I don't know..."
"Great! Let's get started. Flowers, you're up first." said Isaac.
"What?! Why do we have to go first?" asked Dave.
"Hey, I did offer to let one of you guys volunteer. Time is ticking and we gotta get this show on the road. The floor is yours." said Isaac, as he stepped to the side.
"Okay, so who wants to go first?" asked Mona.
"We'll go!" exclaimed Tina and Mina in unison.
The two beetle besties then hobbled off towards the peak's edge. And then after a brief pause, they jumped off the peak at the same time, screaming all the way down.
*splash*
"*surfaces* Mina?" asked Tina.
"*surfaces* I'm here!" said Mina.
"Phew! That was so much fun!" exclaimed Tina.
"I know right?" said Mina, as the two girls shared a laugh.
"Wait so did we make it?" asked Tina.
"Yeah, you made it. Hurry up and get on the boat will ya? I don't got all day." said Chef Roger, pulling up beside them in a tugboat.
"Eeeee!" exclaimed the two beetles, as they swam over to board the boat.
"Alright! Tina and Mina have already got the Fire Flowers off to a good start! Let's hope they can keep this streak up." said Isaac.
"Alright Luma, I'll see you at the bottom. You stay safe okay?" said Rosalina.
Luma makes sad noises before floating off to the beach below.
"Let's hit it Rosie!" said Mona.
"After you." said Rosalina.
Mona and Rosalina then jumped off of the peak and landed in the ring.
*both girls surface*
"Woohoo! I wanna do that again!" said Mona.
"Likewise. That was really fun." said Rosalina, as the tugboat pulled up behind them.
"*looks over the edge* No. I can't do this. I CAN'T DO THIS! That is way too far down!" exclaimed Dave, shaking in fear once again.
Suddenly, Tom placed his hand on his shin to show support.
"Huh?" said Dave confused.
Tom tilted his head towards the edge, implying that he wanted Dave to jump with him.
"You want me to jump with you?" asked Dave confused.
Tom nodded his head 'yes' in response.
Dave paused as he wondered whether or not he should trust this Shy Guy. But before he could give an answer, he suddenly found himself running as he was being pulled forward.
"Wait what? Hey! Hold on!-"
Dave's cries were ignored as both he and Tom jumped off of the peak together.
*Dave screams in terror as the two of them plummet towards the ring*
*splash*
"*surfaces* Ahh! Where am I?! Am I dead?!" asked Dave hysterically.
Just then, Tom tapped his shoulder.
"Huh?" said Dave.
Tom then gestured towards the tugboat that was behind them.
"We...we made it?" said Dave in astonishment.
*static screen*
"Wow! What a rush! My heart is still pumping after jumping off of that cliff! I still can't believe I did that! Well, I kinda didn't have a choice cause Tom made me...He really is a weird one but in that same way, I kinda trust him. I feel like he really understands me. I don't know. Is that weird? It probably is." said Dave.
*end of confessional*
"And with Dave and Tom taking their leap of faith, the Fire Flowers are now up to six points! Can they keep it up?" said Isaac.
"*looks over the edge* Hmph. This isn't tough." said Evelyn, as she jumped off of the peak.
"*looks over the edge as well* Ha! Time for Waluigi to win!" exclaimed Waluigi, as he also jumped off of the peak.
Evelyn managed to land in the ring, but Waluigi wasn't so lucky.
"*lands outside the ring and then surfaces* Yeah! I told you I would win!" exclaimed Waluigi.
"You landed outside of the ring genius." said Evelyn, who had surfaced above the water inside the ring.
Waluigi then looked around him and realized that she was right. Then he felt a giant presence surface behind him.
*Waluigi slowly turns around and sees the Cheep Chomp about to swallow him*
"Ahhhh!" screamed Waluigi, as he quickly swam away from the giant fish, narrowly avoiding getting eaten.
"*laughs* Looks like that's an L for Waluigi! Let's hope our last two jumpers fair better." said Isaac.
"*takes a step forward then looks back* Come on Luigi. We got this." said Yoshi.
"*peers over the edge then quickly shuffles back in fear* Uh, I don't know Yoshi. I think you better go without me." said Luigi.
"Oh no! I'm not about to let you sulk up here! We're jumping together!" said Yoshi, in a stern tone.
He then stretched out his tongue to pick Luigi up and flung him off of the peak.
*Luigi screams as he plummets towards the ring*
"*exhales* Here goes." said Yoshi, as he jumped off the peak behind him.
Both Luigi and Yoshi managed to land inside the ring.
*Luigi surfaces and starts panting rapidly*
"*surfaces* Luigi! Luigi! *swims over to him* Calm down buddy. We made it!" said Yoshi.
"Huh? We-We did?" asked Luigi in astonishment.
"Yes, you made it. Now get on the boat before I leave you two for Cheep Chomp food." said Chef Roger, pulling up in the tugboat once again.
"Woohoo! We're saved!" exclaimed Luigi, as he happily swam over to the boat.
Yoshi shook his head as he followed behind him.
"(muttered) Leave it to Isaac to put two scaredy cats on the same team..." said Chef Roger annoyed.
"Alright! With all of the Fire Flowers off of the peak, they end with a final score of 9 jumpers! Thanks to Waluigi." said Isaac, with a quip.
"Hey!" exclaimed Waluigi offended.
"So, Mushrooms, to win the first part of this challenge, all 10 of you have to make this jump. If one or more of you fails, the Fire Flowers win." said Isaac.
"Okay guys, I know this is a lot of pressure, but we can do this. The Super Mushrooms will pull through! Yahoo!" said Mario, rallying his team together.
"Let me jump first Mario. I gotta get this adrenaline outta my system since I switched teams. For the Super Mushrooms!" exclaimed Daisy, as she ran full speed toward the edge of the peak.
"Woohoo!" exclaimed Daisy, as she jumped off the peak and took the 1000 ft plunge into the ocean below.
"*surfaces inside the ring* That was awesome!" exclaimed Daisy.
"*shakes his head* Yeesh. This girl is all kinds of crazy." said Chef Roger, as he pulled up beside her in his tugboat.
"Alright, outta my way! I've been waiting all day for action! Wahoo!" exclaimed Wario, as he jumped off the edge.
Derek and Birdo jumped off of the peak as well, following behind him.
*all three contestants surface inside the ring*
"Yes! I'm a winner! Hahaha!" said Wario, with a haughty laugh.
"Hey, have either of you seen my left foot?" asked Derek.
Just then, the aforementioned left foot floated by just in front of Derek and Birdo.
"Is that it?" asked Birdo.
"*sighs* Yes. Hey, get back here!" said Derek, as he swam after his foot.
"*clears throat* Super Mushrooms! Prepare to bear witness to the awesome spectacle of yours truly. I, the magnificent Spikerton the Third will single-handedly claim victory for my team!" said Spike, as he suddenly jumped off of the peak after making his speech.
Unfortunately, his jump didn't turn out to be the magnificent spectacle he thought it was going to be.
*Spike bumps his head several times on the rock edges before landing in the ring*
"Yikes...Someone should probably check if he's okay." said Isaac.
"Um...isn't that your job Isaac?" asked Peach.
"Uh, no. My job is to entertain the viewers watching at home. I have interns to do all that other "responsible stuff". Speaking of which...Ryan! Go check if His Royal Clumsiness is okay." said Isaac.
"On it Isaac!" said Ryan, as he flew over to where Spike was floating in the water.
"Spike! ARE YOU OKAY?" asked Ryan loudly.
Spike was only able to give a thumbs-up as a response.
"Someone get that boy a medic! You do have that here don't you Isaac?" asked Goombella.
"Of course! I may be cold but I'm not completely heartless. Plus, no medic is grounds for a lawsuit and none of you guys are taking any money away from me." said Isaac, in a suddenly serious tone.
"*lifts Spike up out of the water* Oh! He's really heavy! *grunts* I'm off to the medical tent!" exclaimed Ryan, as he flew away from the beach.
"Alright! Moving on from that episode, the Mushrooms have earned five points so far! But, to beat the Fire Flowers, all of their remaining teammates have to make this jump. Can they do it?" said Isaac.
"*peers over the edge* I really don't think I can do this..." said Goombella.
"Have a little courage Goombella. You've got this!" said Mario.
"That's easy for you to say, I mean, you're Mario. This is like an average day for you." said Goombella.
"Eh, you might be right, but you've just got to go for it when it comes to this type of thing." said Mario.
"Hmm...maybe I'd feel more confident if you jumped with me?" asked Goombella hopeful.
"Well, I guess I can do that. Come on! Let's-a-go!" exclaimed Mario, as he and Goombella suddenly took off running towards the edge of the peak.
*Goombella and Mario are screaming as they fall towards the ocean*
*splash*
"*surfaces* Mario?...Mario, hon, where'd you go? *gasps* Oh no..." said Goombella, as she suddenly swam towards a familiar-looking red object.
"*puts Mario's hat on her head* Mario! Where are you?!" asked Goombella, who was starting to tear up.
"I'm a-right behind you Goombella."
"*gasps as she turns around* Mario! There you are! Why'd it take you so long to surface?" asked Goombella.
"I realized I had lost my hat and I was looking for it underwater. But it looks like you found it!" said Mario happily.
"Yup! Here you go!" said Goombella, as she tossed Mario's hat back to him.
"Okay Mushrooms, you guys are the last three. Hurry this up, 'cause I actually want to eat dinner tonight." said Isaac.
"Alright, Pauline. You ready to do this?" asked Peach.
"Of course! In fact...*secretly loosens Peach's bikini top as she walks by* ...I'll race ya!" said Pauline, as she ran forward and jumped off of the peak.
"Hey no fair!" exclaimed Peach, as she ran forward as well.
"Uh...Princess! Wait!" exclaimed Toad, but to no avail.
Peach jumped off of the peak and screamed loudly as she plummeted toward the water.
*Peach lands inside the ring where Pauline is waiting*
"*surfaces* Wow!" exclaimed Peach speechless.
"Exhilarating isn't it?" asked Pauline.
"Yeah! What about you? Weren't you afraid to make that jump?" asked Peach.
"You know I was but something just came over me. I don't know what it was. Maybe it was the wind." said Pauline.
"The wind?" asked Peach confused.
"Yeah. Didn't you feel it when you were coming down?" asked Pauline, with a sly smile.
"Now that you mention it, it was really windy..." said Peach.
"Princess!"
"Hmm?" said Peach, as she looked up to see Toad landing in the ring as well.
*Toad surfaces holding onto a pink garment*
"Good job Toad! You made it!" said Peach.
"Um, Princess, you kinda left something on top of the cliff." said Toad, who appeared embarrassed.
"Really? What was it?" asked Peach confused.
Toad then held up Peach's bikini top as he averted his eyes. Peach immediately recognized the article of clothing and looked down at her chest to confirm her fears.
"Oh my gosh! *grabs the bikini top and covers herself immediately* Toad! How did this happen?" asked Peach, extremely embarrassed.
"I-I-I don't know! I saw it fall to the ground right before you jumped off the cliff! I'm sorry Princess! This is all my fault!" exclaimed Toad, who still had his eyes closed.
Just then, Chef Roger pulled up in his tugboat.
"*whistles* Wow, that's a sight I wasn't expecting to see today." said Chef Roger.
"Ugh!" exclaimed Peach in disgust, as she climbed onto the boat.
Pauline and Toad followed suit as well.
As Chef Roger began heading back inland, a mischievous smirk was plastered on Pauline's face.
*static screen*
"*laughs* Well, I'm sure that was more than what the pretty little princess was planning on revealing today. If messing with Peach is going to be this easy, I may not even have to go through with my original plan. Ah well, we will see. All I know for sure is that the ball is definitely in my court." said Pauline, with a devious smile.
*static screen*
"Oh my goodness! I still can't believe my chest was exposed like that on national television! I am so embarrassed! The whole thing is so weird though. I don't understand how my top even came off! Hmm...maybe it was just a wardrobe malfunction." said Peach, who was thoroughly stumped.
*static screen*
"Princess! I shall never allow such a disgrace to befall you again! As long as I am your guard Toad, I shall watch over you and protect you from all such threats! Even from embarrassment! *places his right hand over his chest* I swear it!" exclaimed Toad, in confidence.
*static screen*
*end of confessionals*
"Well, that's about as exciting an ending to a challenge than I ever expected! Hey editors, make sure to blur that part out before this airs. (to contestants) As for you guys, regroup with your teams and meet me over on the beach." said Isaac.
*commercial break*
"Congratulations to the Super Mushrooms for winning the first part of this challenge!" said Isaac.
"So what's our prize eh?" asked Wario, in an impatient tone.
"I was getting to that. Let me explain the second part of this challenge first. (to everyone) Your next challenge is to build a sandcastle." said Isaac.
"...that's it?" asked Mona.
"Well, yeah, that's the short version. Here's the rest of what you need to know-"
*Luigi suddenly gets hit with a rock*
"Ow! Hey! Who threw that?!" asked Luigi, as he rubbed the back of his head.
"That's what I was trying to explain. This island seems to have a bit of a Huckit problem." said Isaac.
"Huckits?" asked Rosalina confused.
"Ooh yeah, child! They're real mean crabs that huck rocks at ya." said Goombella.
"Hmph. They better watch where they're aiming. I just had my nails done." said Birdo.
"How does that even correlate-"
"Anyway, like I was saying, those Huckits are going to be messing with you guys while you try to build your sandcastles. So I'd stay vigilant if I were you." said Isaac, cutting off Derek's statement.
"So what are we building this sandcastle with?" asked Lyle.
"I thought you'd never ask. Ta-da!" said Isaac, as he pulled a sheet off of a table, revealing shiny new pails and shovels.
*The Super Mushrooms and Fire Flowers start getting excited*
"Haha! Yeah, these are only for the Super Mushrooms. Sorry Fire Flowers." said Isaac.
"Aww, seriously dude?" said Tina.
"So what are we supposed to dig with?" asked Mina.
"These!" exclaimed Isaac, as he pulled another sheet off of a table, this time revealing rusty pails and shovels. Some of the pails appeared to have holes in them as well.
"*sighs* Figures." said Tina.
"How old is this stuff?" asked Yoshi, looking at the rust-laden tools.
"Not sure. They were on the island when we bought it so, your guess is as good as mine. Alrighty! It's time to get this challenge started! You guys will have ten minutes to build your sandcastles. Whichever team builds the most impressive looking sandcastle will win today's challenge and as promised, a decent meal in the mess hall." said Isaac.
"Oh yeah..." said Wario, with his mouth-watering.
"The losing team will be going to the elimination ceremony and will lose one of their teammates tonight. So don't lose. Got it? Alright, ten minutes start...now!" exclaimed Isaac, as he started the timer and both teams scrambled to pick up their pails and shovels.
"*picks up a pail and shovel* Alright! I'm gonna get started digging!" said Daisy, as she raced off to get to work.
"*puts a pail on top of her head* Alright then. I'm gonna get some water." said Goombella, as she waddled off towards the sea.
"*picks up a pail* Okay guys, we should probably try to organize ourselves so we can-"
"Outta my way meatball! I don't need any direction from you! Wario's taking home the trophy all by himself! Wahaha!" said Wario, who had bumped Mario out of the way.
"Ouch! You didn't have to be so rude about it..." said Mario, slightly rubbing his left arm.
"Don't worry about him Mario. We can still win this challenge. Come on, let's get some water." said Peach, taking Mario's hand.
"Well...alright." said Mario, as he reluctantly followed behind Peach.
Pauline watched as the couple made their way to the shoreline. She was about to take a step forward when a rock suddenly came hurtling in out of nowhere.
"Whoa!" exclaimed Pauline, who nearly got hit by the projectile.
"Careful Pauline. I would advise you to stay clear of this area. I'm on Huckit patrol!" said Toad, striking a heroic pose.
"Huckit patrol? No offense short stuff but what could you possibly do against those crabs?" asked Pauline.
"I may be short, but I'm powerful! I must not fail in my duty to protect the Princess!" said Toad.
Just then, Toad was hit in the head with a rock and was knocked out.
"Well, that was short-lived." said Derek, with a quip.
"Yup." said Boo.
"Hmph. The level of uselessness on this team is astounding." said Pauline, as she walked off with a huff.
"How did we end up on a team with so many stuck-up people?" asked Boo.
"I don't know, but let's not worry about that right now. We need to get rid of these Huckits." said Derek.
Immediately after he said that a Huckit threw a rock at him which broke him apart into pieces.
"Aww, man! Not again!" said Derek, who was scattered on the ground.
"*slightly chuckles* Okay. We need to do something about this." said Boo, as she started looking around for an idea.
She suddenly spotted a piece of driftwood that was sitting on the beach not too far from her.
"Hmm..." said Boo, as she started getting an idea.
Meanwhile, with the Fire Flowers...
"Okay team, we don't have that much time to do this so let's aim for quality over quantity. Luigi and Rosie, you mind getting us some water?" asked Mona, who had assumed a leadership role.
"Sure Mona." said Rosalina, as she floated off towards the sea with Luma following her.
"Let's a-go!" said Luigi, as he ran off towards the sea as well.
"Yoshi, Evelyn, Dave, and Tom, you guys will be on the lookout for those Huckits." said Mona.
"What? But I don't like crabs!" exclaimed Dave, starting to shake in fear.
"Dude, you gotta get out more." said Yoshi.
"Alright! That leaves me, Tina, Mina, Lyle, and Waluigi to dig up some sand. You guys ready? Alright, let's move Flowers!" exclaimed Mona, as everyone dispersed to their assigned roles.
*static screen*
"Wow, I don't know what came over me today but I sorta just became the leader of my team. The funny thing is, no one seems to have any objections to this. I never really thought I was the leader type, but today has made me see myself in a different light. I'm gonna lead the Fire Flowers to victory in these challenges. As long as we work together as a team, there's no way the Mushrooms are beating us." said Mona confidently.
*static screen*
*end of confessional*
"I got some water!" said Luigi, holding up a pail full of water.
"I got some too." said Rosalina.
"Ha! Glad you losers could make it here. Unfortunately, the superior team already has six extra buckets full of water. While yours..."
The camera suddenly pans to Luigi and Rosalina's pails leaking water from the holes in them.
"Well, there's no need to explain the obvious. Enjoy your elimination ceremony!" said Pauline, as she walked away from the two with a laugh.
"Hmm...we're gonna need a faster way to get the water to our team." said Luigi.
"You're right. Ah-ha! I've got it! Oh Luma?" said Rosalina, as she called out to her Luma.
Luma happily came bouncing along to her side.
"We need your help with something. Can you lift this pail?" asked Rosalina, as she handed the pail to the Luma.
Luma struggled slightly to lift up the pail but still managed to hold its weight. Mostly because the water was quickly draining from the pail at a fast pace.
"Okay, we'll need to be quick if we're going to pull this off. Go on and carry that water to our team Luma. We'll have more pails ready for you when you return." said Rosalina.
Luma made a happy noise before floating away with a pail, now half full with water.
"So, what's your plan Rosalina?" asked Luigi curious.
"Watch this." said Rosalina, as she waved her wand and used her gravitational pull to pull the rest of her team's pails to her and Luigi.
"*picks up a pail* Come now, we have a lot of pails to fill." said Rosalina.
"Yeah, no kidding." said Luigi, in astonishment.
Back with the Super Mushrooms...
*The team is hard at work constructing their sandcastle*
"Greetings teammates! I have returned from the infirmary and am ready to participate in this conquest once more!" exclaimed Spike, joining the group again, though he now had a tight bandage wrapped around his head.
"Ugh! It was actually quieter without you and your nonsense around." said Pauline, with her arms crossed.
"I'm sure it must have been! But fear not, for I have returned! Now...*picks up a shovel*...allow me to continue where I left off!" said Spike, as he started digging up sand that was near the base of the left side of the castle.
As a result of him doing this, the sandcastle started to cave in a little on that side.
"Hey! Hey! Spike! What are you doing?! *takes away his shovel* You can't dig right there! You're gonna cause the whole castle to collapse!" said Daisy.
"Oh dear. My apologies. Well, perhaps I can assist you all with some water-"
"We already have enough water." said Wario, cutting off Spike's statement.
"Um, Spike, why don't you help out Boo and Derek over there with the Huckits? We need to make sure they don't destroy our castle." said Mario.
"Ah, an opportunity to do battle? Oh yes, this will be a chance to showcase my skills in combat! *upchucks a spike ball* Prepare to taste my spikes you Huckits!" exclaimed Spike, as he ran off to attack the Huckits, holding his spike ball above his head as he ran.
"Geez, what a moron." said Wario, as he poured some water on some sand he had dug up to shape it into another addition to the sandcastle.
Back with the Fire Flowers...
*a Huckit prepares to throw a rock but a shadow is suddenly cast over it*
"You throw that rock and it will be the last thing you ever do." said Evelyn, in a serious tone.
The Huckit immediately conceded and backed away quickly from Evelyn. His other friends weren't so easily swayed, however.
*Yoshi is ducking and dodging rocks being hurled at him*
Suddenly, he stretched out his tongue and swallowed a rock that was coming straight for him. Then, he turned the rock into his own projectile: an egg.
*Yoshi adopts a determined look on his face before he throws the egg at a Huckit which knocks it out*
The other Huckits took notice of this but didn't slow down in their assault. Yoshi was keeping up with returning their fire, but he was quickly getting overwhelmed.
"*throws another egg* Um, guys? A little help here?" said Yoshi.
"Um, I think I'll just provide moral support from behind this rock." said Dave, who was hiding behind a boulder.
"Unbelievable..." said Yoshi.
Just then, Tom surprisingly picked up Dave and threw him out from behind the boulder.
"Owww..." said Dave, who was now lying flat upon the ground.
Tom suddenly walked up to him and pointed in the direction of the Huckits in an authoritative pose.
"Do I really have to fight them? I can't even do anything!" whined Dave.
Tom then offered a demonstration to Dave by charging shoulder first into the boulder behind them.
"...You want me to charge at them?" asked Dave.
Tom simply nodded his head.
"*sighs as he gets up* But I don't even have a helmet!" said Dave.
Tom placed his hand on Dave's shin as he shook his head in response.
"I don't need it?" asked Dave.
Tom nodded his head again.
"*sighs* Okay. Okay! I'm gonna do it!" exclaimed Dave, as he readied himself to charge.
"Whoa! Hold on there Dave! You're gonna need some epic music for this fight!" said Lyle, as he started to play some music from his speaker.
*Mid-boss Theme from New Super Mario Bros. Wii starts playing*
"Oh yeah...It's time to charge! Yaaaah!" exclaimed Dave, as he suddenly rushed forward towards the Huckit ambush.
The Huckits noticed an angry-looking Dave charging full speed towards them and they started scrambling away in fear.
"Whoa! Is that Dave?" asked Yoshi surprised.
"Yah! Hah! Waaaah!" exclaimed Dave, as he kept charging at the crabs, pushing them further and further away from the sandcastle.
"I think he's lost it." said Evelyn, with Tom standing behind her.
"Nah man. Dave just released the beast." said Lyle, floating over to the group, still blasting his music.
Just then, however, a spike ball came hurdling down in their midst and nearly hit the group.
"Hey!" exclaimed Lyle, as he accidentally dropped his speaker in his surprise.
*Mid-boss Theme from New Super Mario Bros. Wii suddenly ends*
"Where'd that come from?!" asked Yoshi, in shock.
"It's that idiot from the other team. (to Spike) Hey! Watch where you throw your spikes!" shouted Evelyn.
"*panting heavily* Well...I think...*pants*...that did the job." said Dave, as he suddenly collapsed from exhaustion.
"*picks up his speaker and knocks sand out of it* Oh great. What a way to ruin the jam." said Lyle.
Meanwhile with the Super Mushrooms...
"Spike, would you calm down?! We have this handled!" exclaimed Boo, using her ghostly powers to levitate the piece of driftwood she saw earlier.
"Obviously not! These Huckits are running amok! Their reign of tyranny ends today! Hah!" exclaimed Spike, as he chucked another spiked ball at the crowd of Huckits.
Unfortunately, for him, however, the Huckits moved almost in sync to avoid his projectile. Then they grouped back together to resume throwing their own projectiles.
"Ugh! The rocks are really coming in now!" said Boo, using the piece of driftwood to hit the rocks back.
"Spike, go away man! You're just making them angry!" exclaimed Derek.
"Hmph! You do not tell me what to do. As a lowly peasant, you would do well to remember your place." said Spike.
"What did you just call me?" asked Derek, who was about to approach Spike.
"Derek! Look out!" exclaimed Boo.
Derek looked behind him only to see a barrage of rocks coming his way.
*Dry Bones breaking apart sound effect is heard*
"*sighs* This running joke is gonna get old fast." said Derek, who was now disassembled on the ground.
"Alright, no more games! I didn't want to have to do this, but you Huckits leave me no choice! Prepare to be spiked!" exclaimed Spike, as he dug deep within himself and upchucked another spiked ball.
This one was sent hurtling through the air at a great rate of speed. It appeared as though it was about to land on the Huckits but then something unexpected happened.
*The spike ball lands on the Huckits but they manage to lift it*
"What?! Impossible!" exclaimed Spike, in complete shock.
Suddenly, without warning, the Huckits launched the spike ball back at Spike, who immediately dove out of the way to avoid getting hit by his own spike ball.
Just then, Boo gasped as she realized where the spike ball was heading.
"Guys! Look out! Spike ball incoming!" exclaimed Boo.
Her other teammates suddenly looked up to see the spike ball about to land on their sandcastle.
"Oh no!" exclaimed Mario, just before the spike ball landed on the castle, completely destroying it.
"What...just happened?!" asked Pauline, in disbelief.
"That stupid Spike guy just wrecked our castle!" exclaimed Wario, who was highly upset.
"Well, let's not panic everyone. Maybe we still have time to rebuild it." said Peach, trying to be optimistic.
"Hey, contestants! Just thought I'd pop by to say that you guys have one minute left to complete your sandcastles! *looks over at the Super Mushrooms' side* Oof. Tough break." said Isaac, as he left the group.
"Yeah, we're screwed." said Daisy, with her arms crossed.
"We can't give up now guys! Everyone needs to pitch in!" said Goombella.
"You're right Goombella. Come on Mushrooms! We have to hurry!" said Mario, as he rallied everyone present to start rebuilding their sandcastle.
Meanwhile, the Fire Flowers were just about finished with their sandcastle...
*Luma brings another pail of water to Lyle*
"Hey, thanks Luma buddy! (to Mona) Another pail of water over here!" said Lyle, as he floated over to Mona.
"Thanks Lyle! *pours the water into a moat that is surrounding their sandcastle* Alright! I think that's it! We're done! Awesome job on the moat Tina and Mina." said Mona, offering a thumbs-up.
"Thanks, but that was really all Tina's idea." said Mina.
"Aww, you're too kind! But really that was all you." said Tina.
"No, it was all you!" said Mina.
"No it-"
"Does it really matter?" asked Waluigi, who was getting annoyed.
"Wow, Waluigi! Impressive detail on the castle." said Mona.
"Well, I did take a few art classes back in my day." said Waluigi, in a boastful tone.
*a buzzer sound is suddenly heard*
"Time's up teams! Everyone, regroup!" exclaimed Isaac.
A few seconds later...
"Alright! It's time to judge your sandcastles! Mushrooms, you're up first!" said Isaac.
"Um, Isaac, before you judge ours, we actually had a little-"
"A little is right. What is this?" asked Isaac, cutting off Mario's statement.
The camera then pans to show the Super Mushrooms' last-minute attempt at building a sandcastle. It was nothing more than a little stump with a twig sticking out at the top.
*Mario looks at Spike in confusion*
"What? I thought it might give it some character." said Spike.
"It had plenty of character before you ruined it, you annoying brat!" said Pauline, who was clearly angry.
"*scoffs* Well I never!" said Spike, who was clearly offended.
"Okay! I can see there's some clear tension in your team there Mushrooms. You might wanna work on that. As for this castle...yeah it sucks. Let's see how the Fire Flowers' turned out!" said Isaac, as he walked over to the other team.
The camera suddenly pans to a magnificent-looking sandcastle surrounded by a moat. It has a bridge that goes over this body of water as well.
"Wow! Now that's a sandcastle! I don't think there's any need to delay a verdict. In an unexpected twist, the Fire Flowers are the winners of today's challenge!" exclaimed Isaac.
*The Fire Flowers start cheering amongst themselves*
"You guys can go ahead and change out of your bathing suits. Then come down to the mess hall to enjoy your victory dinner!" said Isaac.
"Woohoo!" exclaimed the Fire Flowers, as they all ran off, heading to their cabin.
"*turns around* Super Mushrooms...very disappointing. You guys had a promising start but failed to deliver on your sandcastle. So, it sucks to say that you guys will be heading to the elimination ceremony tonight. I'd start thinking about who you want off of your team from now. Although, I'm sure you guys have a few options in mind. See you guys later!" said Isaac, as he walked off the beach.
As soon as he left, Birdo came strolling in, completely oblivious as to what had happened.
"What'd I miss? Did we win?" asked Birdo.
"Does it look like we won?" asked Pauline, in a snarky tone.
"Where have you been Birdo?" asked Peach.
"Well, I figured we had the win in the bag since we won that first part of the challenge and all. So I decided to redo my makeup to look good for our victory celebration." said Birdo.
Upon hearing this, the other Super Mushrooms started glaring at Birdo heavily.
"Do you mean to tell me that you left us to doll up your face?! What kind of a special idiot are you?" said Pauline, who was fuming.
"Hey, hang on. I'm no idiot. I know all my ABDs." said Birdo, as she snapped her fingers in a sassy manner.
"It's ABCs." said Derek, correcting her.
"Oh, whatever." said Birdo, as she walked away from the group.
"Mama mia..." said Mario, as he facepalmed.
As the Super Mushrooms started leaving the beach, Toad finally regained consciousness and sat up.
"Owwie...my head...*looks around* Oh! *jumps up* Princess! How long was I out? Don't worry! Your guard Toad is still here to protect you!... Where'd everybody go?" asked Toad, who was now alone on the beach.
Later on that day, in the Fire Flowers' cabin, on the boy's side...
"Hey Tom uh, thanks for pushing me to chase away those Huckits today. You really helped me find my confidence." said Dave.
Tom just gave a thumbs-up in response.
"By the way, is there a reason why you don't talk? I mean, you don't have to tell me if it's something personal. I just wanted to ask." said Dave.
There was a long dramatic pause after Dave asked his question. He was starting to get nervous as Tom just stood there motionless in front of him.
"...I only speak when it is necessary." said Tom, who surprisingly had a calm and stoic voice.
"Oh. Uh...is there a particular reason for that?" asked Dave.
"Shh...Maybe one day I will explain. For now, silence." said Tom.
"But-"
"Shh!" said Tom, cutting off Dave's rebuttal.
"Okay. Silence." said Dave awkwardly.
"*enters the cabin* Hey guys, come on! We're all heading to the mess hall for our victory dinner." said Yoshi.
Tom simply walked forward in silence, following Yoshi out the door. Dave followed suit but was still weirded out slightly by Tom's revelation.
Later that night, outside of the Super Mushrooms' cabin...
"Well, I guess it's time to decide who we're voting off tonight." said Mario.
"Psh. Isn't it obvious? We're voting off that moron over there!" said Wario, pointing at Spike.
"I will not hear such insolence! Why would you vote me off?" asked Spike.
"Um, you literally cost us the challenge." said Daisy.
"Yeah, sounds like the only person to blame is you." said Birdo, who was filing her nails.
"You're one to talk hon. I don't remember seeing you do anything today." said Goombella.
"I already told you guys. I was doing my makeup. My face is important to me." said Birdo.
"Yeah? So is not sucking at challenges. And thanks to you, we were down one teammate for the entire second half of the challenge. Well, two if you count Toad." said Derek.
"Whatever. It's not that big of a deal! You guys are being so dramatic. You just can't handle the fact that I'm more fabulous than all of you. There's no way that I was about to touch all of that sand with these hands." said Birdo.
Everyone that was present suddenly looked at her in disbelief.
"You know what? I think my vote just changed." said Goombella.
"Ditto." said Derek.
"Nah, I'm sticking with my gut. You're gone Spike. *sniffs the air* Ooh! What is that smell?" said Wario, as he suddenly walked off in the direction the smell was coming from.
"I'm gonna go check on Peach. She's with Toad at the medic tent." said Daisy.
"I'll come with you." said Mario, as he followed behind Daisy.
"See you guys at the elimination ceremony." said Derek, as he left the area with Goombella.
Now it was just Spike and Birdo left there.
"*shrugs her shoulders* Sorry boo." said Birdo, as she walked off.
"Unprecedented..." said Spike, as he went inside his side of the cabin.
Meanwhile with Wario...
"*sniffing the air with a blissful expression on his face* Ah! Here it is! A slice of Double Cherry Pie!" said Wario, about to dig into the dessert.
"Ah ah ah. Not so fast." said Pauline, appearing from behind a bush. "*picks up the plate with the slice of pie* We have some business to discuss first." said Pauline.
"Aww come on! You're such a tease!" said Wario, with a pout.
"This won't take long. Just a question, who were you planning on voting off tonight?" asked Pauline.
"Uh, Spike obviously. That kid only causes trouble when he's around. And I don't need anybody interfering with my money." said Wario.
"Hmm. I agree with you. Spike is a nuisance. However, I believe he can be a valued asset if played correctly." said Pauline.
"What are you talking about?" asked Wario confused.
"Listen, if we save Spike from elimination tonight, he's in our debt. And that means that he will help us moving forward with future challenges. The three of us will be the alliance that controls our team. Eventually, we won't even need the team. It'll just be us as the final three. Or the final two if Spike is stupid enough to cross us." said Pauline.
"So you want to work together basically. And how do you know I won't betray you?" asked Wario.
"Two things. One, you like money. Two, you're motivated by money. So, teaming up with me is in your best interest because whether you believe it or not, I am your biggest competition here. And if you don't want to get left behind, you'll be smart for once and join me." said Pauline.
"Hmm...alright, why not? The rest of the people on our team are idiots anyway. So, if we're saving Spike, who are we voting for?" asked Wario.
"The clueless Birdo. We know for certain that Derek and Goombella are voting for her. The obvious choice for Spike's vote is Birdo to avoid getting voted off himself. And we'll come in with our two votes against her as well." said Pauline.
"Wait. Hang on. I may not be the smartest guy, but I can do math. That's only five people. We're still outnumbered by one person." said Wario.
"Oh don't you worry about that. I have number six handled. You just prepare for the ceremony tonight and watch the magic happen. Here. *gives him the slice of pie* You've earned this." said Pauline, as she walked away from him.
"Yes!" said Wario, as he happily ate the pie, creating a mess around him.
Unbeknownst to him, however, someone appeared to have been watching him and Pauline.
*Boo phases into the area slightly before disappearing*
*static screen*
"Huh. Well, it didn't take long to find a snake on our team. Two snakes actually. But Pauline is clearly the mastermind here. She thinks she's about to run this team? Hmph. Sorry, but Boo's got bad news for you." said Boo.
*static screen*
*end of confessional*
It is now time for the elimination ceremony and the Super Mushrooms have been gathered at the bonfire pit.
"Super Mushrooms. You guys lost today's challenge. Not a good start but who knows? Maybe you can bounce back from here. Alright, it's late and I still haven't eaten dinner, so let me explain how this is gonna work." said Isaac.
"*picks up a 1-UP and holds it out for them to see* This is 1-UP. These things are very much your lifeline while you're here on the island. If I call your name, that means you're safe, and you get a 1-UP. If I don't call your name though, that means you're screwed and it's time for you to get sent packing. Chef Roger's docked out there in his tugboat waiting to take one of you losers out of this competition. So, who will it be? Let's find out. When I call your name, come up and get a 1-UP." said Isaac.
Mario...
Peach...
Boo...
Derek...
Goombella...
Daisy...
Pauline...
Toad...
and...Wario...
"You guys are all safe tonight." said Isaac.
Each of the contestants he had called had come up to claim their 1-UP. Now there was only one 1-UP left...but two contestants.
"Spike. Birdo. You two are at the bottom tonight. Not surprising considering today's events. Spike, you're really annoying and very over-confident. And that overconfidence cost your team the win. On the other hand though, Birdo, you didn't do anything today really. And then you pretty much insulted your team for providing some fair criticism." said Isaac.
"Hmph. Haters gonna hate." said Birdo.
"Yeah, well, it seems like they hate you a lot. I'm sorry, but the last 1-UP goes to...Spike." said Isaac, as Spike came up to claim his 1-UP.
"I am not happy at all with the way this ceremony preceded. You all will regret putting me on the chopping block!" said Spike.
"Oh give it a rest already man." said Derek, annoyed with Spike's antics by this point.
While most of the Super Mushrooms appeared content with this outcome, Boo seemed to be surprised by this.
"*looks over at Pauline* How did she get Birdo voted off?" thought Boo, to herself.
Just then, the camera panned to Pauline sitting with a sly smile on her face. Then, the scene transitioned to a flashback.
FLASHBACK
"Hey, Mario!" exclaimed Pauline, from behind him.
"*turns around* Oh! Pauline! You scared me. What's up?" asked Mario, who was just coming out of his side of the cabin.
"Oh, I just wanted to know who you were voting for." said Pauline.
"Oh, well I was thinking about Spike honestly." said Mario.
"Really? I was thinking we should vote off Birdo instead." said Pauline.
"Really? Why?" asked Mario.
"She's useless Mario. She abandoned us in today's challenge to put on makeup. Sure Spike is a wildfire, but he can wait. At least he actually did something today." said Pauline.
"Hmm...you do have a point..." said Mario, thinking over Pauline's suggestion.
"Great! So, I can count on your vote against Birdo tonight?" asked Pauline.
"Sure. I guess so." said Mario.
"Awesome! See you at the elimination ceremony!" said Pauline, as she walked away from Mario.
END OF FLASHBACK
"*smirks* (muttered) Bye-bye Birdo." said Pauline, to herself.
"Birdo. It's time to go girl." said Isaac.
"Whatever. I don't need this competition anyway. I'ma make money from my acting career. See you losers never! Oh, but tell Yoshi he can call me anytime." said Birdo.
"Yeah, I'll definitely forward that message." said Isaac, in a sarcastic tone.
Birdo just shrugged her shoulders before putting up a peace sign. Then, she started walking down the dock, heading towards Chef Roger in the tugboat.
*Birdo hops in the tugboat*
"Where are we going? Delfino Island?" asked Birdo.
"Hah! You wish!" said Chef Roger, as he pulled away from the dock with a laugh.
"Well, that's it for tonight Mushrooms! Get some rest! You guys have plenty of challenges ahead of you." said Isaac.
The Super Mushrooms then streamed out of the bonfire area, a look of tiredness evident on their faces.
"Well folks, one contestant just lost their chance at making it rain. But twenty-one hopefuls are still in it! What challenges will the teams have to face next? Can the Fire Flowers keep up their winning streak? Will the Mushrooms ever find unity in their team? And what the heck is Tom's deal? Find out answers to these questions and more on the next episode of...Koopa...Island...SURVIVAL!" said Isaac, ending the episode.
