The women parked and got out of their car and started walking towards the entrance of the grand home. Stefan beat them to open the door, he smiled wide at the sight of them, "Hi," he said looking at them. The sisters smiled and hugged him. They walked inside and Cass looked around for Damon, "Where's…" Stefan pointed up the stairs, "Oh yeah I didn't tell him you guys were coming, he's the second door on the left." Cass nodded and went upstairs to fetch him, "Damon?" She asked slowly, opening the door, when she didn't hear a response she looked behind her before entering the room. "Damon?" she asked looking around, just then he came out of the bathroom, "Cass, I didn't know you guys were on your way." She smiled, "Yeah," she said, crossing her arms, "Um, Abby's downstairs if you want to come to say hi," she finished by looking towards the ground. Damon walked closer to her, making her look up at him, he smiled before slowly leaning in so he could embrace her.

He held her for a moment, "I can't believe this is real," they separated and she looked up at him. They parted and started walking downstairs. Once the four all said hi to each other they sat on the couches, "So is this just a social call?" Cass questioned, "We wanted to see you two… I don't know about Stefan but, this is all just… it's going to take time to get used to this being real." "What Damon is trying to say is that we were thinking the more we see each other, the easier it'll be to make sense of all this." The girls shared a look, "We were thinking the same thing," Abby said with a small smile. "Before we start seeing each other and hanging out more," Cass bit her lip, "Abby and I have something to tell you guys."

The brothers shared a look then furrowed their eyebrows at the girls. "What's going on?" Stefan inquired which prompted Abby, "Will you both judge me if I want to have a tiny drink and it's only 3 pm? Or are we passed it with the whole, we thought we all died in the 1800s and now we're vampires in the 2000s?" "Go for it," Damon said motioning to the bar, "We might all need a small one," Cass said looking around. "I think it's better if I go then we kinda break off into…" Abby nodded her head, understanding what her sister meant. Damon laughed a little, "Okay what's going on with you two?" Both of them were silent until Abby returned with the drinks and sat down. "I don't know how to say this because I know how I felt when I found out and I don't want to do this to you Damon, or you Stefan," Cass forced out. She looked to the ground and put her head in her hands. "Cass, whatever is going on you can tell us," Stefan reassured, "I know we all haven't seen each other in a lifetime and we didn't leave on the greatest terms but, we love you both so much." She cocked her head and looked at him with a sweet smile, "I'm going to try not to cry because I feel like it's all you've seen me do but…" Abby put her arm around her sister's shoulder. "Get this down first," Abby said, handing her sister her drink.

Cassidy took a drink and then another and it seemed like she almost started to shake. She wiped any remnants of tears away and breathed out, "Damon," she looked up at him, "Grace, the vampire who turned us, she told us some things about Katherine, how Katherine was in Mystic Falls before she returned with you father," The Salvatores hung onto her every word, "She saw you two and knew she had to have you." She took a minute to collect herself, "She found out who you two were and that we," she almost hiccuped, "and that we were married and had a little baby," even though she had Daniel she was reminded of the pain she felt all those years ago. She couldn't look at him anymore; she could see the hurt swell up in his icy blue eyes. Abby held her sister, "We know this is some really heavy things to start off with but Cass is trying to tell you that Katherine thought it'd be easy to drive a wedge between Stefan and me since we were younger and courting each other. But you two were older and had been together for longer and married with a child," she bit her lip at the end.

"Do you want to finish?" she asked looking at her sister and Cassidy nodded, "Damon, Katherine had someone take our boy," she choked on the last word. "I don't understand, why are you saying these things, Cass?" He was agitated but almost wanted to cry. "Damon, our baby is alive, Daniel was taken, but we found him," she said, visibly shaking. He stood up, "Don't do this Cass, don't lie! We looked for him for months and went through every possibility but he just vanished." He stood up and started to pace. The only thing Stefan and Abby could do was look on, "Damon I'm telling you the truth, Daniel was a year old when I found out and I got him back," She stood up and started to plead with him, "Katherine wanted to drive a wedge between us so bad that she did that, she convinced us that he'd been kidnapped and was never coming back home but, he's here and he's alive, I got our baby back, Damon." He looked at her with tears brimming his eyes, he shook his head, "Don't do this please, please stop, it's been over a century, and losing him still kills me inside and now we're vampires and will never have kids again." The girls shared a look and Abigail shot up, "Damon she's telling you the truth I swear, Daniel is here with us, we had to turn him obviously, but we found him in 1864 we got him back." There was a long pause in the room, "We have photos! Cass, let's show them!" Abby called out. She started rifling through Cass' purse, "They're really old but we've kept them really well preserved," she handed them to Cass "here," and saved a few to show to Stefan. Abby perched on the arm of Stefan's chair and handed him a few photos, "We even have some in color," she said looking at the youngest Salvatore.

Cass tried not to shake as much and took deep breaths to stay calm and not start crying, "This is him when he was three, so big but still such a small little baby in my eyes and this is him and I on his fifth birthday, I have a lot in books but I took these out so I can show you," she looked him at Damon, searching for any indication on how he was feeling in his eyes. "I'm so sorry you didn't know until now but that's him, that's our baby Daniel." Damon looked at the photos, he kept them in his hands as he sat down and covered his face. "You're saying this was all a part of Katherine's plan?" Stefan questioned and the two women just looked at each other. Suddenly, Damon threw his glass into the fireplace and every one slightly jumped. No one dared to say anything, he started to pace again and kept looking at the photos.

Cassidy looked up at her sister, signaling that it was time to talk to the boys alone. "Stefan, will you come with me outside?" Abby asked, he set the pictures down and followed her out the front door, but not before putting a reassuring hand on his brother's shoulder. When they exited the mansion, Abby exhaled greatly, "I'm so sorry we had to dive right into all this dark fucked up stuff but we thought that we wouldn't be able to see you guys again without letting you know about Daniel." Their walking paused and Stefan looked at her, "I understand, I just, I'm not sure if my mind is comprehending it all," they continued to walk.

"It's really a lot, I remember all those years ago Cass and Damon didn't believe it at first either, I mean, when someone just goes missing you want them to magically appear like normally, Daniel was never actually gone, he wasn't kidnapped or whatever we thought in the past, Katherine orchestrated the whole fucking thing it's just all so crazy." She took a moment and then smiled, "I remember putting him in my arms for the first time and he was so big he already seemed all grown up to me, I can't believe that before you guys never saw us again, Cass wasn't talking and you two had no other choice but to believe the three of us were dead, it's just horrible."

Their walking stopped once more and Stefan turned to her, making them face to face, "When I saw you, it was like the world stopped turning and for a moment I thought I'd fallen asleep and was in some dream, a dream where I got to be with you again and the four of us would be together and be a family. All in one moment this flood of emotions overcame me and all I could think about was grabbing you and never ever letting go again." Abby looked up at the beautiful man she'd loved since childhood, "You have a way with words that just makes my heart swell with love, it's all-consuming and overpowering," she embraced him so tightly and all he could do was squeeze her. When they parted it seemed like he was going to kiss her but before he could, "Stefan, I have something to tell you." He laughed a little, "What else could there be Abby? My head is still spinning." She scrunched up her nose and threw her head in her hands for a moment, "I have an idea," she grabbed his wrist and started running, all the way to the old Salvatore property.

They stopped in front of this huge maple tree in the outskirts of the remnants of the old Salvatore mansion. "I can't believe this is all that's left," Abby said looking around, "Do you remember this?" she said looking up at the tree. "Of course I do," Stefan said smiling, he looked like he was about to leap up into the tree, "Stefan! No cheating, we are doing this the old fashion way," Abby said then made the first move to climb up the tree. Stefan shook his head a little bit, once they made their way up they sat on a branch just like their routine all those years ago. "It's been an actual century since we've done this, I missed you so much Stefan, there wasn't a day that went by that I didn't think of you," she looked over at him and he placed his hand over hers, "Me too Abby."

They were silent for a moment, taking in the scenery around them, "So what is it that you have to tell me?" Stefan questioned looking at her. Abby exhaled, "Oh god Stefan I don't know if it's too soon, I don't want to come at you with all this crazy shit and then you and Damon end up never wanting anything to do with me and Cass again." Stefan laughed a little bit, "There's nothing you could say that would make me feel like that, we have a second chance, Abby, to be together, I" he started stammering, "I thought I lost you forever and it was the most debilitating feeling, knowing that you thought these horrible things of me before you died." Abby wanted to cry, but she was so tired of not being in control of her emotions.

"Stefan, even though Cass and I thought what we did I knew that I'd always love you no matter what, and if I was ever lucky enough to have the chance to be with you again, I'd just want our lives to go back to the way they were. You know me, I'm a total softy at heart," she said smiling. Stefan looked at her and went in to kiss her but she stopped him again, "Stefan, I want to, but before we do I really have to tell you this because I don't know, you might not want to after I do." Stefan furrowed his brow and they made their way back onto the ground and sat down. "Are you ready for things to get even crazier, like category five hurricane craziness?" Stefan laughed at her inquiry, "Yes, Abby," she took a second then exhaled. "I'm not going to be able to look at you and say this so I am going to look ahead and just hope for the best," he shook her a little bit, "Stop stalling!" he called out smiling.

"Okay, okay! Stefan, do you remember our last night with each other? You were sweet-talking me with Lord Byron and I kept pressing up against you…" Stefan exhaled a breathy laugh, "Of course I do," he answered and she continued, "Well that night, I got pregnant and I wasn't certain about it until after I saw you and Katherine. Well, I was going to tell you that night but then chickened out and figured I'd tell you the next day. Once I saw you with her we didn't see each other then everything with the vampires happened and I thought you were dead." There was a slight pause, "You got pregnant?" She nodded, "I was like six months pregnant and… Cass was like seven." "Cass was pregnant?" he yelled, "That you're shocked about?" she hit him in the arm. "I'm shocked about both… how did you guys not tell me and Damon?"

"We were too distraught overseeing you guys with Katherine we figured we had enough time to eventually tell you guys." Stefan stood up, "Oh my god Abigail, I can't even be angry at the fact that you didn't tell us... Damon and I fucked up so bad, fuck!" He screamed it then continued, "So what happened, did you guys… did you guys have the kids?" She grabbed his hands, "Yes of course we did, after that night we took shelter with Grace in the middle of fucking nowhere and we had our babies, we both had baby girls. We turned them when they were sixteen, her name is Lily, after your mom."

Stefan's jaw dropped and it stayed like that for a while and there was complete silence except for the birds. "So we have a daughter? And she's here?" "Of course, I wanted to have our baby forever. I wasn't going to watch her grow old and die." "Oh my god," he had to sit back down. "We have a child? You had our baby, Abby!" he embraced her, and when they parted tears were brimming his eyes. He held her face, "Abby, all I've ever wanted is to be with you and have a family and we have it?" She nodded, "You're happy? You're not mad?" He shook his head and held her face with both hands and kissed her, he moved one hand to the small of her back and deepened the kiss.

"I can't believe this is happening, Stef," Abby said, holding his face and smiling. Stefan bit his lip and ran his hands through her hair, "I have a lifetime of mistakes to make up to you and now I can, it's all I've ever wanted." Her face softened, "Stefan, anything that's happened in the past doesn't matter anymore, I don't want her to take anything more from us okay?" He furrowed his brow and nodded, he brought her hands up to his lips and kissed them, "This isn't too fast for you?" he asked, "You're the love of my life and always will be, now that we're together I don't want to waste any time." They smiled and embraced each other, "Oh! I scanned some photos onto my phone. I can't wait to show you my books of pictures! But look at her, these are just some baby ones." Abby said, smiling and giving her phone for Stefan to take a look. "Fuck these are old," she said while looking on with him, "That's I think under a year, then when she was three, oh! And that's her with Emma and Daniel."

Stefan just looked on, "You wouldn't believe it Stef she was the sweetest and smartest little baby ever." He smiled at her, "I can't believe I missed this," Abby's eyes saddened, "All that matters is we can all be a family now." He looked at her with some pain, "Stef" she said, holding his face and giving him a kiss. "I don't know how to tell her! Oh my god, this entire trip to Mystic Falls is just full of people figuring out that other people aren't dead!" That made Stefan laugh, "We'll figure it out," he said reassuringly. "Should we go back to the boarding house? I can't believe how much harder Cass has, like explaining to Damon their missing son was found then also being like 'hey you knocked me up and I never told you cause I thought you were cheating on me' like fuck I feel so bad." Stefan laughed, "Yeah this is all very unbelievable but, it's just what it is and I'm sure it'll all work out." "Right? Like… I don't know, I think Damon will be happy right?" Stefan nodded, "He's like me, it'll take some getting used to but this might be the best thing that's ever happened to us."
