Instead of jumping into the fray, Emery aimed his weapon and fired a blast of ice between the siblings and the elf.
Soren, Claudia and surprisingly the elf all dodged the attack.
Emery came out from behind a bush and instantly, Soren yelled.
"Emery! You ruined our surprise attack!" Exclaimed Soren angrily.
"Not really." Commented the elf mockingly.
"She was awake the whole time?!" Asked Claudia in shock. "How did you resist the sleep spell?!"
"Oh, I used this lovely rose to stay awake. Hard to sleep with a thorn poking at ya." Replied the elf with a smug smile as she held a blue rose in her hand.
As Soren and Claudia were about to make a move, Emery fired another warning shot.
"Not a muscle from anyone here until you all drop your weapons! Let's settle this in a civil manner." Exclaimed Emery in a serious tone before the bush he came from started to rustle.
Everyone stared at the bush in confusion before Emery pulled Nefeli out of the bush. All she did in response was...
"Well, this is awkward." She said with the sun magic lamp in her hands.
"Nefeli?" The elf muttered I surprise before turning to Emery. "Who are you?"
Before Emery could reply, Nefeli did it for him.
"He's a friend! Please don't attack him!" Exclaimed Nefeli. "I'll just be here staring at this lamp!"
Emery sighed, but not for long as Soren pounced on Rayla for an attack while Claudia tried to subdue him with some weird green goo she slathered over his weapon that did... nothing?
Thankfully, before things could escalate any further, Callum appeared.
"Stop!"
Everyone stopped before immediately trying to justify their actions to Callum which just sounded like gibberish as their voices overlapped.
"Okay, knock it off a second! Just let me explain." Exclaimed Callum stopping everyone. "Firstly, Claudia, Soren and Emery, I don't know what you're doing here, but I'm really glad to see you."
"Are you kiddin'? They ATTACKED me!" Exclaimed Rayla angrily.
"Don't lump me in with them! I was just trying to stop the fight! Claudia and Soren are the ones attempting murder!" Exclaimed Emery angrily before he noticed that Nefeli was distracted and retrieved his artificial magic lamp from her hands, snapping her back to reality with a pout on her face.
"Okay, okay. Let's calm down. I AM glad to see them, but not glad to see them attacking my new friend, Rayla" said Callum with a frown. "...and throwing green goo at Emery?"
"It was supposed to heat up that magic crossbow thing to make Emery drop it." Explained Claudia cheerfully. "But it didn't work for some reason."
"Oh, that makes sense." Replied Emery calmly as he held up his gun. "This thing is covered in a very strong insulator because I sometimes use it for welding metal and other dangerous stuff if not properly insulated. Heating it up would do nothing."
Emery demonstrated this by configuring the sci-fi handheld gun looking weapon and shooting only for it to let out fire similar to that of a blowtorch.
Claudia's jaw fell in surprise as she saw this. Not at the capabilities of the weapon, but at how two of her spells were countered in the same few minutes.
"Does everyone have counters to my spells now?!"
Everyone ignored Claudia's last sentence and focused on what was important. The fight that just nearly happened.
"She's an elf, Callum!" Said Soren with a deep frown.
"I'm here too! And not all elves are bad." Added Nefeli cheerfully, causing Soren to frown.
"But she a GOOD elf!" Replied Callum before turning to Nefeli who was looking at him with puppy eyes. "And I'm sure you are too."
"What do you mean 'a good elf'?" Asked Rayla glaring at Callum.
"She kidnapped you and Ezran!" Exclaimed Claudia angrily. "How can SHE be good?!"
"There was no kidnapping, we went with her by choice." Replied Callum calmly.
Nefeli remembered the fact that she kidnapped Emery and decided to stay silent about it. She knew a stupid decision when she saw one,unless it had to do with stealing, especially when she wanted to get along with them.
"Listen, it's late." Said Callum calmly to everyone. "Let's all just take some rest and cool off. And if in the morning I can't convince you we're all on the same side, you can fight each other then. Agreed?"
"Fine." Said Rayla.
"Fine!" Added Claudia
"Whatever, guess we'll kill you two in the morning." Added Soren.
"Not if I befriend you first." Replied Nefeli cheerfully causing Soren to stare at her.
"Not a bad plan, but my heart is ice cold." Replied Soren in a serious tone.
"Not after I blast it with the fires of friendship." Replied Nefeli in a serious tone.
"Not if I put my heart in water. Cause water puts out fire." Replied Soren. "Checkmate."
Emery could only sigh as Soren and Nefeli continued before Callum lead them all to...
The Moon Nexus.

In the morning.
"So, question, what do we do if they fight again? Second question, what do we do if the humans find out I kidnapped you?"
"You're thinking pretty hard about this." Said Emery curiously.
"How can I not?! I was always told humans were bad, but then I met you and now we're trying to stop a war! The last humans I met didn't give me a chance and these are your friends, I have to leave a good impression so humans would hate elves less."
Emery stared at Nefeli in surprise. He didn't know she was thinking so deeply about this. It was very admirable, especially from someone as careless as Nefeli.
"Well, worst case, you'll still have me not hating you." Replied Emery with a smile as he began leaving the room.
"Aww, thanks, buddy." Said Nefeli happily as she followed right after him.

In a room at the moon nexus.
"I figured out what's going on, why the princes and Emery got so chummy with elves." Said Soren in a serious tone.
"Ugh, don't talk to me until I've had my hot brown morning potion." Replied a grumpy Claudia who poured a small cup of her 'potion'. After drinking the potion, Claudia's mood took a turn for the best. "Okay, go on."
"They must have bitten them and they both have moonshadow madness!"
Claudia paused for a second before bursting into laughter.
"Soren, one of them is a skywing elf." Replied Claudia in between laughs.
"Well, maybe it's contagious and the moonshadow elf bit the skywing elf who bit Emery." Said Soren in a serious tone, causing Claudia to laugh harder.
"It's a valid theory!" Exclaimed Soren. "Ugh, well we need to do something. Dad gave us a mission."
"To bring the princes AND Emerick home." Finished Claudia.
"Right...unless a terrible accident occurs, accidentally." Said Soren quietly so his sister doesn't hear.
"What?"
"Nothing! My point is..." Soren replied before noticing a potato sack on the floor. "We should stuff them in sacks!"
"Soren! They're our friends! We should use persuasion first! Use our words not our muscles." Said Claudia disapprovingly.
"So you're saying...we should butter them up!"
And with that, a plan was born.

"Pancakes!" Exclaimed Claudia as she stood in front of a dining table where, Soren, the princes, Emery, Nefeli and a girl named Ellis sat.
Everyone cheered for pancakes right before Claudia started handing them out.
Rayla immediately began sniffing her pancake for any danger before taking a bite and immediately loving it.
"Impossibly fluffy, right?" Asked Claudia cheerfully.
"So good." Said Nefeli devouring her entire plate. "This is literally the best thing I've ever eaten in my whole life!"
Emery heard that and sighed. He pushed his plate towards Nefeli for her to eat.
"I'm not feeling it today. You can have it." He said calmly.
Claudia frowned at this action, but didn't say much before Ellis asked.
"How do you get them so light?"
Claudia proceeded by explaining the secret to her recipe. Which was normal, until she got to the tint of dark magic.
Callum and Ezran put away their half eaten plates immediately while Nefeli half contemplated eating it still.
"Well, now that we know you aren't kidnapped, you and Emery should come back home with the egg of course." Said Claudia cheerfully.
"Interesting. I thought I was officially declared dead back in Katolis." Said Emery with a frown as he stabbed his fork into Nefeli's pancake since it was the nearest stabable object.
Claudia chuckled nervously seeing Emery visibly upset that he is supposedly dead.
"I understand you're upset, but there's a very good reason for this." Said Claudia awkwardly.
"So Xadia doesn't send anymore assassins after me again?" Asked Emery with a deep frown and Claudia's face brightened as she believed he understood. "Claudia, they don't know my face. In hindsight, me running away was the only thing that led them to me. In fact, I was safer when they were going for an old man. You just made things worse!"
Claudia began nervously laughing before quickly changing the subject as Soren and Nefeli battled for pancakes in the background.
"Hey! The egg! Yeah! Where's the egg?" Asked Claudia nervously.
"Uhh, there's no egg." Replied Callum calmly.
"What?! What happened to the egg?" Asked Claudia firmly.
"You'll see in a second." Replied Callum with a smile.
Claudia raised a brow at that before hearing some noise behind her. She turned around to see Ezran holding something.
