Chapter 5: Lone Wolves
/STORY START/
ONI safehouse,Tokyo Harbor, headhunter team Gold POV
"We've uncovered something big tonight" said spartan 006, Gold Team leader.
"Your report mentioned an amount of weapons and bullets big enough to arm an entire army, do you have any more info?" asked Doctor Halsey to her spartan, "Nothing relevant m'am, the bullets though, they are unique, small caliber and coated with a substance that we never encountered before, as soon as the pelican arrives at base we'll have a team run analysis on them, as you requested." concluded the spartan.
"Oh Marco, i have another mission for you and Keiko, you'll soon receive new directives." said the doctor, and with that the transmission ended.
"Sooo…. What do we do now?" asked Keiko-009 to her partner ,"New orders, we have to go to a hero agency, meet with someone who might know more than we do and eventually we'll have more work to do, you know, the usual" answered Marco-006.
Sir Nighteye Agency, headhunter team Gold POV
"This is the place, I expected a hero agency to be more… fancy?" said Keiko "Fancy or not they're expecting us, let's go" said Marco, "All right, just.. Don't scare anyone this time please" Keiko told his partner.
Sir Nighteye Agency, Bubble Girl POV
Kaoruko Awata, also known as Bubble Girl was a sidekick of Sir Nigheye she had just started her shift for the day and got behind the main counter when the main door opened, as always Kauroko put on a smile and welcomed the guest as usual but her smile, she thought that at the door were the police officers that were scheduled to have a meeting with Sir Nighteye in 15 minutes, that belief however was shattered as her glare met two imposing figures clad in black armor with white accents and golden visors.
"See you scared her, you have to be more cautious when we are in public" said a feminine voice originating from the shorter figure, "I know… i have to get accustomed to work in public" said a male voice from the other one.
"WAIT, you, you are spartans right? I saw one of you in TV last week" exclaimed loudly Bubble Girl
"Nice to meet you, I'm Spartan Keiko-009 and this one is my partner Spartan Marco-006, sorry if he scared you this are our first interactions with the public"
"What brings you here, Spartans?"asked Bubble Girl to the supersoldier duo.
"Our current directives are to speak to your boss about a classified matter, that's all i'm allowed to say" said Spartan 006
"No worries Spartans she can know, after all she's my sidekick, she's part of the operation as well" said Sir Nighteye entering the room from the elevator
"Sir Nigheye, a pleasure to meet you" said 006, "A pleasure to meet you too Spartans, shall we discuss the matter in one of the meeting rooms" asked the Pro hero, "yes that would be the best course of action" answered 006.
As she and Sir were entering the elevator Bubble Girl asked the Spartans "you don't come with us?", "we are too heavy, that elevator surely can't support this much weight, we'll take the stairs, on which floor is the meeting room?" replied Spartan 009 "oh third floor" answered Bubble Girl with an embarrassed tone.
Sir Nighteye Agency, Meeting Room, headhunter team Gold POV
"Doctor Halsey must have already informed you about our discovery last night" said Spartan 006, "Yes Catherine sant me your reports as well as the ballistic test results, I think that we have a connection with another case" answered Sir
"Can you inform us?" asked 009 "Of course, Two weeks ago we started an investigation tailing a yakuza organization called the Shie Hassaikai after a peculiar incident that involved Overhaul, the leader of the organization, with a gang of thieves called the Team Reservoir Dogs.
Despite the Police labeling it as an accident, I found it strange since it didn't make any sense and decided to reopen the case." explained the Pro Hero.
"Do you have by any chance an image of this Overhaul?" asked spartan 006, "of course" answered Sir while Bubble Girl displayed an image of a man with a red plague medic mask on the screen on the wall
"It's them, the ones from yesterday night, they has white masks that resembled this one" said spartan 009
"Did they say something during the interrogation?" asked Bubble Girl, "Unfortunately we didn't manage to capture anyone" answered spartan 009, "they escaped?" asked a perplexed Bubble Girl "They tried, too bad the HVT engaged us" said spartan 006.
"How unfortunate, for them of course" said Sir.
Bubble Girl was shocked the two spartans in front of her killed the yakuza, that wasn't right for her, and Sir noticed it.
"Keep calm Kaoruko, they only did their job, they aren't villains" said Sir, "but Sir, they killed them, that goes against the figure of a hero" said Bubble Girl in a distressed voice.
"Miss Awata I know you may see us as villains but you must know that our team isn't part of hero missions at the moment." said Six
"I Knew this time would eventually come, you see Kaoruko, i knew of the spartans since two years before their public introduction, the head of the program is an old friend of all might and is also an important figure at ONI, the team in front of you is a team known as Headhunters, their job is to conduct high risk operation, they do not classify as heroes but as military special forces under the UN and in direct command of ONI, they are soldiers and they were doing their jobs, they didn't broke any rule" said Sir to his sidekick.
"I'm sorry spartans, i didn't mean to offend you in any way, i'm shocked that's it"
"No offense taken miss Awata" said Keiko
"For now that's all we know, i'll forward a report on them to halsey and in the next meeting we'll decide how to proceed with the case" said Sir
"Then we look forward to assisting your case." said Keiko.
The spartans left the agency knowing that something big was going on behind the scenes, meaning that we would have a lot of fun.

AN: After nearly 2 months from the last update here i am. I had a hard time finishing school and catching covid surely didn't help, but I had a lot of time to think about how to structure the story. The next chapter will revolve around iexpo as for this one i wanted to introduce the next big arc the Shie Hassaikai.
