A detective sat outside the detective he agency he worked at while he smoked a cigarette. "Damn..." The detective rolled his eyes, "Those two can't shut up for two minutes..." The detective, whose name was Lyre, referred to Ryo and Truthteller, who earlier had gotten into an argument about bombing the prison as a last resort. "Both of them make this job hard as hell."
While the detective mumbled to himself, a female detective hurried out of the building while gripping multiple files in her hand. "There you are Lyre!" The woman ran over to him to show him the files she was holding, "I just found something... you might wanna see this..."
"What is it?" Lyre threw his cigarette on the ground and stomped it out, "Did you track down where Deena is?"
"No... but i found something that related to her." The woman told Lyre, "I did a quick search through our records and discovered this." The female detective handed Lyre the files, "Multiple other cases of two specific prison guards going into prisons across the states and taking twelve other specific prisoners out... all while telling the guards that they're being transferred. The two were official prison guards too, their ids checked out and the prison they said they were taking the prisoners to is a legitimate prison for high-class criminals. But when I called them to see if they ever had Deena in their custody or any of the other prisoners for that matter. Not only did they tell me that they had never received any of those missing people, but that they didn't have any records of the two guards even working there."
"Fuck." Lyre tensed up, "They managed to use a fake id to kidnap multiple people... but why criminals? Is it some sort of revenge fantasy they want to pull on the wicked? Or are they trying to recruit them into a sort of gang?"
The female detective shook her head, "Not everyone taken was a criminal." The detective pulled out another file with Aztaroth on it, "Matthews Matthew was the son of a local club owner and poker dealer in Las Vegas, he suddenly went missing at the same time as all these prisoners."
"Dear god..." Lyre clenched his fist, "What the hell are they plotting?"
"I'm not sure sir, but yesterday, Matthew was discovered sleeping in his bed by his father, when his father woke him up and asked him where he had been, Matthew simply replied by saying he's been home the entire time, and that he had no idea what his father was talking about." The detective added, "In fact, a few of the prisoners have been returned to their prisons as well, Romeo Macfarland was the first one to return, except he had a severely broken leg and he refused to speak to anyone, something completely traumatized him. Quinn Potter came not too long after, and when she was questioned about her whereabouts, she said that she was taken to an old prison that had been remodeled, the guards tried to get more info out of her, but all they got in response was her mumbling about multiple different couples. Finally, Monica Rosette Lee was returned a few days before Aztaroth reappeared, and she absolutely refused to say anything, saying that someone was watching them."
Lyre shook nervously as he pulled out another cigarette to stress smoke, "Jesus... whatever is going on... we have to solve it before it's too late." Lyre looked over at the female detective, "Tell the two idiots in the office about this... we've finally got a huge lead..."
